    • The first picture is as trumpet blower!! Signifies a good start in the weekend. I also did not know that the former president Dr. Chiluba was that short!! Does anyone know how tall the the former president is? Just interested thats all.

    • He is 4 foot 9 inches. I actually checked him out in the Guiness book of world records for the year 2000.
Nomba ba Regina sqeezing like crazy!

    • Iwe naiwe Jamaco, the whole world knows that the BIG man is small. I think Napoleon Bonaparte was even shorter. It’s the cranium that matters in leadership and FTJ has enough of the substance!

    • As far as world leaders go, I think you will find an interesting correlation between height and power. Take the USA for example, in all cases (except two) the taller presidential candidate ended up being president. Whether or not height has anything to do with good leadership is up to your own opinion, but there is no question history shows that taller people tend to be the more powerful leaders. Although there have been a few exceptions to the rule, as with most theories.

  1. #10 Regina, making a statement to Maureen! while am gone to jail, stay away from my shorty! i know how he likes big women.

  2. Very impressive pictures. I just like the ones where Mr Chiluba FTJ (Hon Doc, Malawi) appears on.

To you all have a great weekend (Saturday) and a nice weekstart (Sunday).

Until the next time, Mugungulu H. Hamwaambwa.

  3. The youth blowing the trumpet on pic. nambala one reminds me of Miles Davis. It’s good to see some young, talented Zambians.

  4. Zoe saw your mails. Iyo mwalikalipa. I will send one when I am finished with work. But I bet you will be gone by then. Have a great one. Mwaice maestro have a good weekend. No ifya “week start” apa mwaice yonse ni weekend.

  5. Imwe winangu Trumpet izakamupaya! These youths have interest in music, why not organise for them short musical courses to supplement their talents. How do you blow the trumpet with such a an embouchure? What happens when you are told to play 10 long pieces with such an embouchure? May be, the man had carried with him many food stuffs for his energy suppliment! What material are his lips made of? anidabwisa, zo ona nimu Zambian mu guyz uja!

    • You wouldn’t ask that question if RB was your father. Have a sense of belonging and humility before posting a comment.

  6. Late Christon Tembo’s niece Zindaba Nyirenda, second last pix looks great.Atleast she knows the bread winner has left the world.
Thanx LT all are just nice pix of the week [-x

  7. Imwe ba LT thats not 21 gun salute but its calledthree (3) Volleys. Its the same that is fired at the funeral of a soldier. A 21 one gun salute is done with guns those that are tolled on vehicles.

  8. Lusaka Times you’ll never cease to amaze me because of lack of your accuracy. Please don’t be exposing your ignorance like that coz it’s just too embarrassing. The minister who is with RB in the picture at the Freedom Statue is not Festus but KENNETH. Another thing get your facts right on ministries, Chipungu is not minister of SPORTS but SPORT. Please if you don’t intelligent members of staff try me.
