PF leaders hold rally in Lukulu, ULP MP defects to the party

Share

FLASHBACK: Mandevu MP Jean Kapata places a red ribbon on Guy Scott

Patriotic Front (PF) leaders Given Lubinda, Guy Scott, Jean Kapata and Mumbi Phiri held a political rally at Fernando Show grounds in Lukulu yesterday.

The rally, at which United Liberal Party (ULP) Member of Parliament for Lukulu Eileen Imbwae defected to the PF, was however attended by mostly children.

The action by the PF has invited the wrath of the general public who have been left wondering what type of leaders they have who fail to respect the death of a former president.

“The behaviour by the PF members is inhuman and un-African and clearly demonstrates the lack of respect that the general leaders in that party have for the death. Their members are a group of selfish individuals who want to go to State House at all costs,” Committee of Citizens executive director Gregory Chifire said.

Mr Chifire said in the African culture, people are expected to show respect when death occurs by postponing or suspending all activities of political or entertainment nature.

However, Mr Chifire said the decision by the PF to proceed with their rally shows that the PF members who hated the late president have continued to show their hatred even in his death.

“Clearly, the PF with their leader are celebrating the passing on of DrChiluba because that is what they have been longing for. That is the only reason they could not suspend their Lukulu rally. This behaviour goes beyond barbaric. They are heartless,” he said.

Leadership in Development executive director Moses Kalonde said the PF’s decision to go ahead with the rally reflects immorality.

Mr Kalonde said a lot of activities have been suspended in respect for Dr. Chiluba and the PF was expected to do the same.

“What was so important that the PF members could not wait to hold their rally in respect for the dead? Zambians should reflect seriously on what the PF has done because this shows that its entire party leadership lacks substance and merit to lead the Zambian people,” he said.

    • I. dio. ts who is more destructive, the snake in the grass that bites/ kills you and then comes to your funeral house to shade crocodile tears or the farmer who while at the farm hears of your death but completes weeding his crops before coming to pay his respects? ………… You know there used to be a name for people like you, Cifire and Kalonde a long time ago…..the master’s voice! with an english bulldog as the symbol

  1. Great not him on the main headlinesThe man is dead, we move on? Shove his news in the bottom corner and not the main news LT?
What lesson do we learn from this well, No one is ordained by God to carry the entire country on his shoulders and behave as if without him, the country will sink into the underworld of permanent darkness and torment. The respect anyone had for him went threw the window by thrusting upon himself the cloak of a political Godfather, performing tasks that were outside his post-Presidency purview and creating needless animosity for himself apart from the inner people that were shielding him from persecutions.
His wife must be feeling sick I suppose, but then again expect this corrupt regime to shield her from all her shortcomings. Pathetic, Thanks.

  2. The mood in zambia is excatly what you would expect, people were having rallies as above, going on the normal business and you had heartless souls here mouning, the unmournable.
You saw people that were two faced , they wanted the man jailed at one time and the next well, we miss Chiluba now that he died? mmmh

Extremly inconsistent isnt it? But then again that is what you expect from these people with no credibility whatsoever.
Apparently we should nt judge him because only God judges, really? He judged well to swindle people’s monies, judged well to side with the president to avoid being tried. Guess we shall Judge him, he was a collosal political mistake, that was the biggest pretender you will ever come across.
    Good riddance. Thanks

    • Mushota for once you have said sensible things the man has died & we should move on. How many pipo has Chiluba killed? Poverty brought by Chiluba killed alot of pipo!!

  3. :-? PF Leadership is a BUNCH of FOOLS no respect for the dead and has Nothing to offer the people of zambia. zambian vote wisely.

    • Ukutumpa uleke. Too bad the chap is no more, I’ll never see the rail line he stole ( Ndola-Luanshya) back again. I wanted him to live long enough to Answer for his MISDEEDS! :((:((

    • Even gov went on with their activities,on saturday they were launching mobile hospitals.why didn’t they also postpone the launch?Just becoz its the opposition?

  4. Imwe ba Chi Colour ba Kalonde, let the dead bary themselves. National morning has not yet been declared hence, all planned activities should go as normal. I was in Lukulu and a minute of silence was observed, what more do you want them to recognize that Hon Kafupi is on his way under 6 fit.

  5. The man is dead and we have a life to live. The country should not stand still because of the death of a former president. It’s time we did way with state funerals and started having provincial funerals. This is one of the many reasons our country and africa will never develop.

  6. Iwe Chifire,
What is the difference between the death of FTJ and the deaths of so many Zambians who die every single day? Is not death an equalizer?

It is this senseless African thinking that keeps holding Africa back from developing. If all human life is of equal value, why not just shut down the whole nation every day? You cannot stop living for one man, but not be bothered for the others who die everyday.

It used to be that business and social life stopped to go and line up for the President at the airport, and now it is this?

Come on, don’t parade your ignorance and partiality. Let people do their work, while we mourn peacefully. Too much tokambakamba muZambia, looking for faults iin others. By the way, you don’t force people to mourn anyone.

  7. MUSHOTA
Thank goodness you have eventually turned the corner and you’ve started contributing on the blog as a normal human being should.
Back to the topic, why in this flipping world should we suspend all life probably a week just to mourn the little thief? Do these hungry cocrouches realise that there are always deaths for example at UTH and not once have we suspended all activity. As it is, late Chiluba’s body isn’t any important more than other bodies lying at UTH mortuary, they are ALL DEAD BODIES. The sooner these hyenas realise that the better

  8. the ULP cadre MP is lost..the PF chaps will not make it ..sata will never rule..how shall we mourn you b4 elections ../we shall just have to go ahead kanshi!

  9. What do u expect from the party of kaponyas look at the calibre of the pipo addresing the rally who is ministerial material?

  10. Chifire and Kabomde you do not hold the monoploy of wisdom and you are not the government spokespersons please..please spare us the nonsense of your mediocrity and immaturity. there is no deifference between yourselves and William Banda who thinks he can decided who can and cannot attend the funeral. This is an opportunity for u and your cronies to sit down lick your wounds and concince the “orphaned PF Rebels” that their political careers are OVER…THE HOUR IS GONE FOREVER!!!!!!!!

  11. Its times of Zambia, Daily Mail, ZNBC, Chifire and Kabonde clueless people. A minute silence was held just because Chiluba is dead people should stop performing their duties? Nowonder we our million years behind, lazy and pathetic. Chiluba was like any other person in terms of death. The only difference is he ruled Zambia. We are not happy for his demise but reminding MMD and its sympathisers that Yoy have to blame yourselves for undue pressure you put on Chiluba. You turned Chiluba a Campaign tool whether at funerals or church gathering. You rushed Chiluba to bring confusion in PF especially Luapula PF rebels MPs. You thought Chiluba was a political factor in Luapula but that was not a case. Kaka is a political factor and geniues in mobilising political activities. MMD blame yourself

  12. She has no chance of winning her seat……!!!! campaigning to have sata as president in western province..!!! No way,, these people are very deangerous to the counrty. we know Dr. chiluba was a bad man,,, but how do you continue hating him even in his grave.!!! SATA come on old man…!!! You do not need to wory much about this MP, she is a lady influenced by inonge wina,,,,but she has no chance of winning with sata party…!!!!!

  13. Shalawambe #5, Bazambia #6, Kapatamoyo #7, msana wanzili #8, Chikalabwamba #11 and Pafwenawine #12 including their leaders Lubinda, Gay Scott and Kapata will never be mourned even by their own dogs let alone their concubines. If anyone doubted the unreasonableness of these PF bunch of muppets here is a clear case for you.

  14. Has the State Funeral been declared yet? If not, these buffoons should shut up!

Like Chiluba’s Spokes Person has said, “Chiluba is still a govt property”, so only the govt can decide when to suspended all activities (govt and otherwise) in order to pay respects to the former Presidents. These self-appointed spokes persons of the MMD need to concentrate on mourning their hero instead of trying to capitalize on his death already.

If anybody is being immoral and “unAfracan” (whatever that means), it is Chifire and Kalonde. Look at how they have already started twisting non-issues into campaign propaganda. Has all business come to a standstill in Zambia just because Chiluba is dead? If not, why should this apply only to the PF and it activities?

    ZAMBIA AIN’T A KINGDOM!!!!

  15. As the country draws near election time, many of our leaders will be very desparate to the extent where they will be making grave political mistakes. It’s unthinkingable that PF with it’s current leadership can be mandated to run this country.

  16. …….sad as it may be for his family, the death of Fredrick Chiluba will be celebrated by many Zambians whose lives he messed up…..Just because he is dead does not means he becomes a good man. He was criminal and should be treated as such even in his death. He was given a chance to apologise but he refused. Let his rot in hell

  17. The problem with these carders is that they want to politicise everything. I read that Chalwe was threatening Cosmo Mumba that he will be killed when he visits the funeral house. Cifire and his bunch of fools are quiet. One makes a descission to continue with their busyness they tell you that you are heartless. What should one do to please these bunch of hooligans?

  18. ‘The action by the PF has attracted the wrath of the general public’. My foot! since when did Chifire and Kalonde become the representatives of the general public?

  19. does the bible tell us to respect the dead. Jesus said let the dead bury themselves. each person will die and there is no need to respect another dead person. for what benefit will that contribute to the life of somebody. it is better to think about the orphans left as the result of the death and not respecting a dead person.

  20. Time and again we hv spoken out about pf,s desparation 2 go 2 state hs , now evry can c the type of heartless, unafrican and evil pipo they r . They r a bunch of disorganised fools by the way wen r these visionless *****s going 4 a convetion

  21. CHIFIRE,KALONDE AND OTHERS WHO ARE DEEM THINKERS PLEASE REALISE THAT YOU CANT FORCE YOUR NEIGHBOUR TO MOURN WITH YOU.ITS UP TO THEM.BESIDES NO NATIONAL MOURNING HAS BEEN ANOUNCED YET WATCH ZNBC TO PROVE THIS.WILLIAM BANDA EVEN WARNED MCS &POST NOT TO ATTEND FUNERAL ACCORDING TO ZWD WHY NOT MAKE A COMMENT ON THAT CHIFIRE KALONDE COME ON GUYS WHY IS IT EVERY WEEK YOU ARE MORE INFORMED THAN OTHERS.YOU HAVE EXPOSED YOUR IGNORANCE WHEN WILL YOU BE ASHAMED.WEDDINGS,PARTIES TOOK PLACE AS PLANNED YESTERDAY.

  22. Its just a political gimmick by the MMD and its shameless cadres such as chifire to hv something negative to paint in the eyes of the voters to win puplic sympathy-u will see how they wl blow out of proportion this misconcept that PF hated Chiluba when they go to places like Luapula.MMD must actualy be held accoundable for Chiluba’s death bcoz despite being fully aware of his health condition they kept putg alot of presure on him to wrestle Luapula away from PF by him working with the rebel PF MPs.

  23. Which ‘Un-African’ culture are you talking about bafik***la ? Isnt this the same ka silly dead chap that locked up KK on Christmas Day ? Do unto others…

  24. Chifire and your friend Kalonde: If there is any sense in what you are saying, why can’t extend your STUPID TALK to the game which took place in Chingola… Are you saying that FAZ should be blamed for allowing the match? Even if you are failures please research before you release rubbish from you mouth…

  25. Fellow Zambians even when Ronald Reagan died everything went on as planned. The notion that a former president dies everything stops funtioning is just moronic. The rally was planned for several weeks earlier and surely FTJ should have wished it to go ahead given that some allege he is responsible for democracy in Zambia. RB has not announced any funeral arrangements and untill that is done everything should carry on. Daily Mail please stop politicising this death and allow FTJ’s family to mourn in peace

  26. #22 IQ. I cannot force my neighbour to mourn with me but that means I should look at him as a neighbour who does not practice “love your neighbour as you love thyself.” And if that neighbour tomorrow seeks public office I will be the first one to warn others about his/her inhuman characteristics one of which is not mourning with his neighbours when they have lost their loved one.

  27. Celebrate with those who are joyus, weep with those that mourn..these are the teachings we recieve but then ofcourse in the 21 century we are better people with computers and high titles we can carry on with life even in the face of a passing on of a former president….I still remember as a child when a hearse passed by we stopped walking until it passed…but these days uhm I guess its civilisation….You were not there in the US when Ronny passed so please dont speak out of ignorance….let FTJ go on to his next life and he need not be judged anymore by us mortals..that is now Gods privilege and yes some accounts clerk and fatso desk lawyer might never have a state funeral when thay pass but FTJ isnot in that league

  28. Tell SATA that he will be next to go if he does not stop some of the activities.
Leave politics to those who still have energe.

  29. PF why hold rallies during malilo? If you continue with this mentality we will be tempted to use Maureen’s language “Mumulye.”

  30. @ Miyanda you will be next you thinkyou are immuned Mushota these days is contirbuting senseble stuff…Lusaka times is MMD now go to muvi website and vote.

  31. # 30 and #32, who are you to pronounce death on your friends, you think you are death proof, you think you can’t die, are you the one to tell us who is to die next? Please let God do His work, God does not need a spoke man. Only He (God) knows when each person will die, not you. And Please stop wishing your friends to die… The Bible says, Do unto others as you would have others do unto you…

  32. Its hard to trully mourn chiluba without feeling sad at the senseless deaths imposed on Penza, tembo, nkumbula, wezi by chiluba and sata. I hope chilluba made his peace with his marker before he breathed his last; God rest his soul. Now its time for Sata to repent for these murders before he also joins chiluba down yonder. Remember, lesa wabonse

  33. We can’t be mourning thieves, only thieves mourn other thieves! When he was “caputing” Ngenda, Paul Tembo, Penza & others, no one lifted a finger!

Infact this should be NO EXCUSE TO DELAY ELECTIONS!!!

  34. @mushota.
your behavoiur was reported to the LT staff and they they promised to monitor ur coments closely.thumbs up!.And now looking at what ur saying now,it shows a level of machurity and dignity.u are no longer talking like an 8 yr old girl and hopefully ur have been cautioned and should continue that way.FTJ may ur soul RIP.if a minute a silence was observed, the the meeting should have gone a heard ans there is no national morn declared yet people.dont go neck to neck with each orther please!

  35. NUMBER 32 LUBI YOU ARE A SICK *****,WHO KNOWS IF YOU WILL BE THE NEXT ONE TO GO TO HELL .DONT WISH ANYBODY OF THEIR DEATH ITS ONLY GOD WHO DECIDES TO TAKE SOME ONE/SILLY FOOL

  36. Iwe ka Mushota #2???ulalanda saana, atase, Ka $1,600 coach kakwisa, why boast of things? You are the liars that have nothing? Chiluba nafwa so what? U have nothing to do?? Akape kobe?? Keep Quite if you have nothing serious to contribute??

  37. I suppose PF finds it hard to be hypocritical like the other parties. I mean come on the man is accused of having stolen millions from the country instilling corruption at unprecendented levels and unfortunately in life you are known by your last deeds. Chiluba did his own legacy no favours whilst alive, now he is dead should we gloss it over and pretend he was a saint??? All Presidents should know – life goes on with or without them – they just need to ensure they contribute positively to Zambia when we the people give them a chance.

  38. sir our cultures are different. you cant say its african culture thats wrong. others respect the dead like you do. others dont because the dead knows nothing. infact the dead man was a thief who never repented. if he did he would have apologized to the zambian people but he refused. what respect should we give him? he has left 300 pairs of shoes instead of a foundation to help the others. he claimed to be a christian while he was not because christianity is about serving others who are in need but him got money from the needy and the poor.infact good christians dont bost. the bible says they humble themselve and their works can be seen. you shall know them by thir works. MANDELA, KAUNDA, MASIRE, MOGAE,JOACKIM CHISANO, he is not in this group.

  39. Oh and on a different note MMD are always accusing PF/Sata of supporting homosexuals but the other day when the UN voted to recognise homosexuality – The Zambian representative WHO IS AN MMD APPOINTEE abstained and by that action help to pass a closely contested voted that was fiercely opposed by Nigeria and Pakistan – WHY???????????? MMD are closet homosexuals!

  40. #38
You reported me? Good for you!

My conscience has not changed, about Zambia, or Men. Either accept it or you move on. I contribute with my heart and what you see is what you get, I take nothing back I have said previously and I mean that all my heart.
Still in love with a man of my dreams Nick, and I hate lazy people that make your country unbearable to live in. My conscious is clear I will seek truth and Justice and I will speak my heart, perhaps I flirt on the borderline with LT. I am different and special, just for your own Info I have talked to LT several times and therefore know my limitations
I am not seeking friendship with no one here and if you do hit your wife/girlfriend I hate you with a passion, if not Hello, I continue to spit the truth from Glasgow Cathcart. Tks

  41. People lets have facts. The PF rally was planned aealier than the funeral and alot of money must have been spent to mobilise people hence for them to go ahead as no one knew chiluba wa going to die that day. Moreover, the govt has not yet declared national morning so all is normal until thye do so. Civil servants go to work mailo until they declare the national morning. However, PF guys are not wanted at the funeral what more do you want from them. Ubupuba bweka bweka pa Zed. In western world nothing like that

  42. Zambia under 23 where playing football yesterday, with the government official being present and people cheering when zambia scored and among where MMD cadres, why was it not cancelled. Because it is more connected with government, than the PF rally which was miles away from the funeral house. Let us face the facts squarelly. Ba Mushota from Glasgow mula vota

  43. @ mushota
yes indeed.. i can confirm that ur been reported to LTwithout fear or favour.and ur blogging will come under serious scrutiny now.who hasnt got sofas this side on the continent and not forgeting in zambia.? u wake up at 6 oclock on a sunday morning annoying people on LT.can someone who is in love with a so called Nick do that honesly? the answer is NO.people in love woudnt wake up at that time on a sunday morning, sory.dont refuse to grow up.u and the so called Nick. time never waits for anyone.FTJ MHSRIP.. Everyone is sick and tired of u man!! u suck.many thanks

  44. No need to force anyone to attend a funeral, let PF do what they want to do.Even if they attend the man wont rise.

  45. imwe ba kolokombwa, are u tellng me z@ chiluba z tha only one who died on saturday..? after all a thief z a thief dead all alive,if anythng, a thief and a witch are jst the same they are better off dead…

  46. Sharp Shooter? I will ingore you. You clearly dont deserve to be mentioned in the same sentence with me
If you were looking for a minute of glory with me, guess what you just did but not after this, thats for sure.
Perharps I am annoying I will always comment that way, and keep reporting, until somthing betwen you drops.
what meaning do you expect your delusional self-important statements of unknowing, inexperienced opinion to have on me? What fantasy do you hold that you would believe that your tiny-fisted tantrums would have more weight than that of a leprous desert rat, spinning rabidly in a circle, waiting for the bite of the snake?
Get a life and stop stooping being low, with your drivel apparent mentioning me. I usually ignore grimy, squalid, nasty mistakes like you, Tks

  47. trying to take down the MMD buffalo while its wounded, unfortunately or fortunately we as Zambians respect our culture, death has come to our village so lets show respect so sham on you P.F the it would have been difficult to cancel less than 24hrs before the rally

  48. Double tongued Chifire and the group. Yesterday your tekere banda said he does not want Pf any near Chiluba’s funeral and that was right in your eyes yet you want them to suspend their work even before the national mourning is declared? You bafoons.

  49. Ecclesiastes 9
    A Common Destiny for All
1 So I reflected on all this and concluded that the righteous and the wise and what they do are in God’s hands, but no one knows whether love or hate awaits them. 2 All share a common destiny—the righteous and the wicked, the good and the bad,[a] the clean and the unclean, those who offer sacrifices and those who do not.   As it is with the good,    so with the sinful; as it is with those who take oaths,    so with those who are afraid to take them.
3 This is the evil in everything that happens under the sun: The same destiny overtakes all. The hearts of people, moreover, are full of evil and there is madness in their hearts while they live, and afterward they join the dead.

  50. This PF seems to be party ya bazungu, Given Lubinda is from Bangladesh the old man is rumoured to be related to Cecil Rhodes or Ian Smith. Can someone furnish us with more information, these are national leaders.

  51. @ mushota,
you desperately need help my poor friend.im woried ur up briging should speak volumes for itsef.no body appreciates ur comments and that should ring serious concerns in your mind.why not visit a a local social worker, doctor, prefererably a gynaecologist and a psychiastrist.Nick will be glad to assist too i reckon! Are u sure ur a zambian too?never seen anyone from zambia conducting herself in that manner.ur mental, health and physical stutus is highly questionable.Urgent help is needed Asap!

  52. MUSHOTA . Its very true, Lusaka Times had received 103 complaints in the last 7 days. They will now monitor and modulate your comments. In the last week the blogs have been consumed by your nonsense. So don’t think your are cleaver. Lusaka Times will not risk loosing bloggers to The Watchdog just because posters are getting discouraged from reading your despicable comments and language.
I can confirm that I am one of the people that raised a complaint, and LT have gotten the message very clearly. One will now find more reasonable debates on the The Watchdog than Lusaka Times. Most good bloggers have left LT because they do not want to read about Mushota’s Private Life and her man Nick.

  53. PF and any other working people have to continue with life. Chiluba did not want people to idle around. He would be the first to say ‘Work for your pay’
It is Chifire’s choice to stop bathing and working and sit idle at the funeral house till FTJ’s burial, but be sure, FTJ the Unionist, would not subscribe to this idea.

  54. .
    @ SharpShooter & @ Firestarter
its no doubt that MUSHOTA has brought the standards of Ba LusakaTimes debates down. it used to be BA KAPONYA posting filthy but now we have one single spoiler. looking at the past few weeks – we can claim that Ba LusakaTimes have lost all the progressive debaters. All Ba LusakaTimes need to do is just to blog her IP Address, every time she starts posting Amafi or Matuvi .

  55. LT, a piece of advice for you. In situations like this, please try to provide balanced coverage. Obtain information from both sides. The people you have quoted are ardent MMD supporters and attack dogs. Obviously nothing that the PF do will meet their approval. Stop showing tendencies of biasness in your reporting.

  56. I think Mushota is OK. Let us learn to live with and tolerate even people with such strong views. She also has freedoms. Besides, I think she breaks up the monotony. FTJ used to politic at funerals. Yesterday RB’s uncle’s funeral was 75% politics; Chanda Chimba 3 even brought back Chiluba from the dead to decampaign PF through old clips. And of course Mr CHIFI … still went to look for his family’s food speaking ill of PF. If it’s cease … FIRE, then both parties should stop shooting! And an investigation should be launched as FTJ died fail ill inexplicably shortly after the rejected MPs left.

  57. Iwe Chi cifire how many innocent pipo died on the same day with yo ***** plunderer? Have you paid any respect to them? Others are street children who actually died coz of hunger caused by ka Chiluba. If i was there i would have thrown that idoits bodyat the dumpsite so the dogs could feast on him.Dont think pipo are grieved by his death NO! some are just going there to ensure the truth that the chap is no more, cadres are there for food and for intellectualls its a tradition and business forum. It is also a plat form private campaigns. You fools from the East know that Chiengi, kashikishi and Mununga (THE LAB) ask Katele even the dead burstard knew,MUZAZILA bangwele.

  58. Imwe mwe bantu, what iz so special about Kafupi passing, let alone many pipo are dying cos FTJ Kafupi stole all the monies to buy drugs in hospitals. Death is same rich or poor, Kafupi iz gone life must continue.Lelo PF rebel MP. Am Happy atleast Kafupi died before elections maybe riggings will be minimised. VJ uzo hambba nawe kusasa

  59. @ 54 Mushota##### AM REALY SHOCKED WE STILL HAVE SUCH PEOPLE IN SOCIETY. MY DEAR YOUNG GIRL, GROW UP AND LEARN TO DEBATE ISSUES WITHOUT INSULTING AND DONT EVEN TRY TO INSULT ME BECAUSE YOU WILL REGRET. MUSHOTA, WHAT KIND OF A PERSON ARE YOU WHO HAS NO RESPECT FOR OTHER PEOPLE? WHO BROUGHT YOU UP? DO YOU HAVE PARENTS? I HAVE BEEN MONITORING YOUR DEBATES ON THIS SITE AND I CAN TELL YOU THAT ITS EITHER 1) YOU ARE NOT A ZAMBIAN, 2) OR YOU HAVE NO BOYFREIND NICK AS YOU CLAIM, 3) OR YOU ARE INSANE, 4) OR A COMBINATION OF ALL THESE. LET ME REMIND YOU THAT BY VIRTUE OF OTHER PEOPLE’S EXISTENCE, YOU OWE THEM RESPECT JUST LIKE EACH AND EVERY ONE OF US. I WOULD ALSO ADVICE YOU TO SEEK SPRITUAL HELP FROM A PASTOR BECAUSE ALL INDICATIONS ARE THAT YOU DO NOT KNOW GOD.

  60. people let us know.that as christians we are the same before the Lord the country should not come to a stand still,we know we loved him despite his mistskes,bt people should understand that his time come.dont thinkthose who are doing other things are evil.

  61. PF must have gotten the permit for the rally earlier before Chilumba’s demise. It was Chiluba’s idea to introduce the public order and permits are not easy to obtain from MMD controlled police. So Chifire learn to keep your lousy mouth shut, if you have no idea about holding meetings in Zambia. If a man dies, he is dead, but us the leaving must go on and continue with our lives. It is law of nature.

  62. Chifire should think before speacking it was during the funeral of levy Mwanawasa wen there were taking the body around the country wen Banda and mmd were forcing mmd leadership in province to endorse Banda”s candidature. so today you want to show respect to the dead why only to chiluba wen you didnot to Levy is becauase you were in a hurry to enter state house.:x

  63. a thief is a thief wether living or died be good in your life time you will be respect even when you are die. we all die remember what image you create you will with it before the people and God.

  64. Do you that stress is one the cause of heart problem so corruption case may be part of his health problem those in the govt stealing now learn from this our brother president who has died. remember one day will day

  65. I feel sorry for Given Lubinda who is being dragged into warped thinking and evil deeds. As for Sata, Lubinda and Guy Scott, whose culture are you cultivating on Zambian soil? Even in Sata’s Tanzania, Given Lubinda’s India, Guy Scott’s Britain, the three countries have due respect for upholding a culture that respects death – especially death of a former Head of State. In Zambia we all stand-still when a funeral procession is passing by as a mark of respect to the dead even if we do not know the late who is being driven for burial. The behaviour of PF leaders to hold a political rally in Lukulu during the period when a dark cloud is hovering over Zambia is extremely inhuman and hard to believe. Typical of ba Mwisa.

  66. Kizito #14. Are you the only Jew in Western Province. MMD has caused irriversible damage to the people of Western Province. Poverty, BRE, underdevelopment, killings and maiming.. Western Province has decided and chaged to PF just like all other true thinking Zambians. If you live by handouts too bad, you need to wake up because CHANGE is HERE for PF and Sata. Just for your info, wait for Parliament to be dissolved but please dont also collapse….

  67. 74 DS Malama – Do not politicise any death. RB is still campagning despite the funeral of Mr. Fredrick Chiluba. That rally was arranged some time back and besides which is worse playing soccer or holding a meeting. All league and internation games were played through out Zambia over the weekend so you have to be fair. By the way why is only Sata youMidget Mad Dogs are criticising at every turn? ZNBC is still carrying campagn programs for RB so stop them if you are really genuine other wise you are a fake

  68. Miyanda, #32, its HH and UPND fools who will commit suicide after Sata is declared Presidential winner in 2011. Rejected Banda (RB) has already amassed billions of dollars in two years which we will this time collect back from him like the Egyptians have done to Mubarack and his family. We will be swift on plunderers and the poor will have a last laugh.. hahahaha

  69. DS Malama what is your problem? Simbao launched the mobile hospitals in his village but no body said he shouldnt. We have kept away from the funeral because chiluba stopped being our friend. We are not hipocritics like shikapwasha and your red lipped VP who called chiluba a thief and are now showing praises on him during his death. By the way RB was VP when chiluba was spending time in court why didnt he resign if he believed he was innocent? We will see who will help him dribble other politicians

  70. I am no politician. Just an observation. Would MMD have stoped their rally just because an opposition party leader had died. Let us not be selfish and see where our benefits lie. I am sure PD leaders respect the death of President Chiluba.

Let us be fair and never judge others.

  71. May the soul of our great leader rest in peace, I say thanks for your time here on earth.
