TIZ and FODEP call for arrest of MMD cadre caught on camera inciting violence

Share

Transparency International Zambia (TIZ) and the Foundation for Democratic Process-FODEP-have called for the arrest of the MMD cadre who was captured on video at central police station yesterday inciting violence

The two organizations say there is enough evidence on which the police can act to effect the arrest of the MMD cadre identified as Flackson Tembo.

FODEP says the Police should not leave anything to chance so that people start finding reasons to protect themselves.

Flackson Tembo was captured on video at central police station yesterday calling on MMD cadres to come to the police station to clash with PF cadres who were passing through the area.

    • Which police are you referring to that are vigilant? Is police inaction to avert disaster looking in its face synonymous with being vigilant? We need to be vigilant ourselves because we only have one Zambia

  1. The police need to take action and put the Tembo man where he belongs. We should also appreciate the the desire of the multitude that vehemently AWE to Tembo’s suggestion. The frustrated few regardless of their party affiliation should not be followed, Zambia is for peace lovers!

  2. What law would be applied in this situation of a cadre calling for solidarity of his folks? What material fact of criminal nature was committed in this theoretical call?

  3. Uyu musulawakwe he needs to be thrown into chuks!!! That is a blatant threat to peace. Iwe #3 Senior matole yobe don’t be dull. That dog needs to be caged.

  4. #3..
It is abhorrent and repugnant that you call open, naked and unprovoked inciting of violence as solidarity. What kind of leadership is that?
It is this behaviour that has set this country’s revolutionary wheels in unstoppable motion
That type of leadership would certainly be rejected even at animal farm

  5. # 3, You hear how the reactions against you are flowing in? Perhaps you were just joking to see how others think over the case at hand, but we do not have space for jokers or psychologists. Time is running out. These are serious issues threatening our peace and tranquility. Finally, would I be wrong if I categorized you below the level of a junior citizen???????????? Respond if my coment has******you!!!

  6. There is absolutely no material fact of criminal action in the call for solidarity made by Flackson Tembo unjustly under clear and present danger of PF thuggery swamming at the Police station. Law is not predicated on emotional convulsions PF kaponyas here are evidently espousing.

It is even criminal fact for disoriented Wynter Kabimba who has publicly called on his fellow PF kaponyas to swing pangas, amalegeni and spears against all anti PF dissenters

  7. PF kaponya can stay preoccupied with yet another suit added to the 25 they already instituted but losing, Zambians and MMD will never be diverted by deviants resorting to tired and doomed acts of aberrations. Zambians are stet to deliver a knock-out on a sepernt on September 20, 2011.

Be warned that all hopes and schemes to push for a useless form of unconstitutional Grand Government of compromise other than mandate will not happen in Zambia. Losers will never succeed with their unsophisticated scheme of coercing the people’s Government to form a Government of deals other than electoral mandate as in Zimbabwe and Kenya useless to tax payers.

  8. PF Kaponyas,

Be warned that all hopes and schemes to push for a useless form of unconstitutional Grand Government of compromise other than mandate will not happen in Zambia. Losers will never succeed with their unsophisticated scheme of coercing the people’s Government to form a Government through deals other than electoral mandate as in case of Zimbabwe and Kenya bearing blown and economically unsustainable useless establishment all after tax payers money.

  9. @senior citizen
you are very useless indeed,am sure while watching this video you were masturbating, how is lets crash and calling for solidarity the same, and bi.tch you say you are educated?you even go on shitting on your next comments,if it was solidarity why did people say AWE?were you born naturally stupid or maybe its your mama to blame?as for winter kabimba,u see how ignoramous you are?kabimba was saying defend yourselves when attacked, how is self defence and inciting violence the same?you really want to keep your job that you even reached new levels of ignorance.

  10. That guy who was saying lets crash is even an adult sure, that country is useless thank God am not there, the zambia police wont do no sh.it,even calling william banda to the station was done to appease the public, the malawian is above the law, that old i.diot who was saying lets crash wont be arrested, but if it was a PF cadre, you would have seen muppets, self opinionated ,RB’s piss drinkers like senior citizens and other imbeciles crying foul.

  11. start by arresting masebo and kabimba why didnt you advocate for this when they asked the pf cadres to attack or kill mmd cadres at kamwala market y double standards so

  12. Senior f@cker and ponyopoyo, dont deliberatly defend the indefensible. That mmd cadre was caught on camera inciting violence, and u and your zp think its a joke. Politics aside, law breakers should be dealt with as the law deems fit.

  13. People please stick to issues rather than calling each other names? You are reducing yourselves to the same level as the very people you are condemning! Sad!

  14. ITZ and FODEP at their best killing an ant with a sledge hummer by calling for arrest of a “Tembo”. Whose camera captured a “Tembo” inciting violence on phone, and who was in the vicinity of “Tembo” to capture a full phone conversation? So the Police must arrest Tembo on flimsy evidence? ITZ & FODEP were silent when Wynter Kabimba publicly incited violence, as The Post deliberately jammed their cameras. ITZ remained mute when FODEP President was caught stealing a voter’s card in Durban, buried their in sand when Zulu was abducted by Sata’s “soldiers”. Yes, CHAKOMELA MBUZI KULUMA GALU. Both ITZ and FODEP need legal counsel before making public outcries. However, the relevance and life span of ITZ & FODEP will be under their sponsors’ microscope after 20th Sept.

  15. #21 Whilst two wrongs dont make a right, I agree with you. The whole of pf leadership (interestingly except Satan) are on record advising their supporters to engage in violence in ‘self-defence’. Masebo, Kapata, Kabimba, Scott, Lubinda have publicly told their supporters to be violent whereas no one in the MMD leadership has called upon MMD supporters to act violently. PF were playing a very cynical game by claiming only to act in ‘self-defence’, when they are not able to provide any evidence MMD violence perpetrated on their supporters. Even the alleged murder of a pf supporter in Kanyama has not been verified by independent sources but the rumour mongering  succeeded in causing a fracas between MMD and pf supporters.

  16. Now I don’t know what the cadre said or did, but I believe that all who incite violence or break the law must be caged, and I mean ALL law breakers. I have in mind the PF cadres who disrupted the flow of traffic on that section of Church road causing panic among members of the public in full view of the police. I also have in mind the PF top hierarchy Guy Scott, Winter Kabimba, the ridiculous Given Lubinda, Jean Kapata, etc who recently incited violence at a PF rally in Lusaka. We all saw and heard them on TV, no question of identity or alibi. Shouldn’t FODEP and especially TIZ be calling for their arrest too? Or do they think that the law only applies to MMD cadres?

  17. So if somebody says ,when you are attacked by the MMD defend yourselves,it means they are inciting violonce?I can now declare that all MMD cadres are a bunch of maggots who find their pleasure in licker malawian a.sses, how can you sink so low guys and start twisting facts and pretending to be dull for nothing, nowander Africa is really a dark continent,if the educated are thinking like this ,how about the people who are not ,like william banda and that fool in the video?this is how wars are caused when th law enforcers are biased, people take the law in their own hands.Mwanya a pwisi imwe.

  18. I can see how people in the west continued to give excuses for apartheid in South Africa. Even with video evidence, where the MMD is saying ‘Let’s crush them’, some people here are hell bent on giving excuses. #26, this does no compare with telling people to defend themselves in the face obvious police inaction. I am sure the police have rightly locked up a lot of PF trouble makers. All the PF leadership were calling for was a level palying field. This is not Zimbabwe. If the police can lock up Father Bwalya for simply flashing a red card, how can they allow that William Banda to go scot free when he committed crimes in the presence of the police?

  19. @THE SAINT
MAN ARE YOU NORMAL??WHEN SOMEBODY SAYS LETS CLASH,THEN THE OTHERS SAY AWE,THEN THE MAN SAID MUYOPA CHANI,WHY DID THE OTHER GUY GRAB THE PHONE?STOP MASTURBATING AND REPLAY THE VIDEO IN FULL OR MAYBE YOU ARE IN AN INTERNET CAFE WITH MINIMAL SPEED?SOMETIMES ITS BETTER TO SHUT UP.

  20. I m wondering why TIZ did not say the same when Winter Kabwamba and his colleagues incited their cadres to kill MMD cadres, one of them said and i quote “ukapeza MMD, paya”. This was captured on video as well. Why didnt they call for Kabimba to be arrested??

  21. It seems many people on this blog cannot reason beyond what they read in the Post. What a shame. It seems people are too dull to reason on their own. Shame shame shame.

  22. MMD from Rupiah Banda to all there supporters have completely run out of ideas and think violence is the way. Not this time around baba, you will be crashed but this time to death. This includes William Banda and all his supporters.

  23. I can only say that TIZ and FODEP were still sleeping when Wynter was calling for clashing with those that provoke PF, otherwise TIZ and FODEP were going to do the same noble thing of calling for the arrest of TEMBO.
Anyway, tembo needs to be investigated, together with Wynter and Guy Scott.
TIZ and FODEP keep up the good work you are attempting to do, but you will be totally failing in your duties if you will not call for the arrest of Wynter, Guy, Silvia, and Lubinda.
Your usefulness to society as associations will be totally questioned if you will not give this balanced call as stated above unless you tell me that your reasoning is intemitent.

  24. katie, when where born? where not there when the RB advized mmd cadres not to attack upnd during campaigns? but attack who?… jst coz u ve bn sleeping like yo RB Shreck the fifth doesnt mean is asleep. senior ci color, reason well. we need u at our thinking. uletonkanya kwati naufubatila amatole yakwa william banda.

  25. katie, when where u born? where u not there when the RB advized mmd cadres not to attack upnd during campaigns? but attack who?… jst coz u ve bn sleeping like yo RB Shreck the fifth doesnt mean evry1 is asleep. senior ci color, reason well. we need u at our level of thinking. uletonkanya kwati naufubatila amatole yakwa william banda.

  26. It is always a character with grey hair (not wisdom hair) that is advocating for violence. These characters have already outlived their usefulness in the world and are on the verge of the after life, they want to cause violence in this country because they know that they will never get to feel the pain of their actions. You can name them:

Mututwa (Departed already) William Banda, the cadre in the clip, Michael Satan. All these are wated old canons.

  27. Flackson Tembo another grey haired useless man from the same country with William Banda wants to cause more confusion!! This animal needs to be taught the right way of handling issues maturely. He is just old for nothing. Shame upon him!! Go back to your country. The general characteristic of indigenous Easterners is that they are cool and obedient. Not uyo chisanguka umutulatulafye pamona William Banda.
