Vice President Guy Scott says a number of initiatives are underway to create decent jobs in the country.

Dr. Scott has explained that since the PF took over government nine months ago it has been restructuring the economy, which would be a basis for creating employment.

The Vice President was speaking on a ZNBC LIVE television programme dubbed Sunday Interview on Sunday night.

And Dr. Sscott has stressed that government will not give any preferential treatment to any foreign investors.

He says investors from all over the world including the Taiwanese are welcome to invest in Zambia.

Meanwhile, Dr. Scott says government has been sourcing for long term funding to build houses in the country.

He says currently the country has about three million housing deficit.

And Dr. Scott has advised opposition political parties who have a tendency of running to foreigners whenever they are aggrieved to STOP.

Dr. Scott has explained that any well meaning Zambian should strive to work together towards developing the country.

The Vice President is particularly concerned that some of the things some opposition leaders say are NOT useful to the country.

And Dr. Scott says the PF government has always had an open door policy, adding that opposition leaders are welcome to approach government on issues they feel aggrieved with.

  1. Talk about being vague. Does he really think anybody will want to invest in Zambia with its undiplomatic CNP leading the country? Carry on dreaming chola boy.

    • share with us any information you have about investors not wanting to invest in the country because your so called CNP (Sata) leading the country?

  2. Imwee muli bamanooo!!! A country cannot be developed in 2 days or 90 days.If one voted bcoz of that reason, then one does not think.

  3. bakawalala. pf people are reporting late for wok, they are making our wok difficulty. you grabbed GRZ minibuses and vehicles from them but some are still abusing them by knocking off early and cuming either very early or very late for fear of CGT. MONZE ACCIDENT INVOLVING FARMERS AND AGRICULTURE FILED OFFICERS, ANY NATIONAL MORNING?

  4. Chola boy tell Mata to develop western province otherwise to hell with u. we need a university in Mongu, a modern shopping mall, a state of the art hospital in Kaoma, and at least 10000 new houses in each district. We need an international airport in sesheke or senanga. We need an army base in Kalabo, u missed the chance to tell Mr Bush instead u were busy insulting him, anyway not too late!Do u understand Chola boy? I thank u.

  5. Which number of initiatives is Guy Scott talking about? If those initiatives are there, why didn’t he mention them? There is nothing. PF is a chimbwi-no-plan, led by the chief hyena himself. Start packing PF, the count down has begun. PF is the most crap party ever to be in power in Zambia and it will also be the first ONE-TERM party. Bye-bye polio PF.

  6. VP Dr. Scott gives the word PARADOX a whole new meaning. Educated but dull, Knows the enabling environment is not there in our Country for genuine investment but pretends its in abundance, Knows he is lying thru his teeth about PF Govt initiatives and open door policy blah blah but puts up a shameless act. This goes to prove that it is not ones education that counts the most in life, but ones attitude first and foremost.

  7. Scott

What economy has the PF restructured? You must be the most useless white man with a PhD.

  8. What decent jobs are these. Improve education, research, health care and management in the country and everything will flow……….

  9. MR VICE PRESIDENT….YOU PROMISED RETRENCHED ZAMTEL WORKERS THAT THEY WILL GET BACK THEIR JOBS ONCE THE PF IS VOTED IN TO POWER…WE VOTED AND THE PF WON…ZAMTEL WAS REPOSSESD FROM LAPGREEN…BUT WE ARE SURPRISED UP TO NOW WE HAVE NOT YET BEEN CALLED BACK TO WORK…LETS SHARE THE NATIONAL CAKE EQUALLY…AS FORMER ZAMTEL EMPLOYEES WE URGENTLY NEED OUR JOBS BACK BECAUSE WE WHERE ALSO RETRENCHED DUBIOUSLY JUST LIKE THE SALE OF ZAMTEL TO LAP GREEN…..PLEASE HEAR OUR CRY……….

  10. I believe its true what Scott is saying, and just because musungu. If it was one of these real Zambians, including the King i can’t trust them.

  11. Ba Zambia, let’s not be gullible. It is not expected to see real results of a new grz in in one year. There’s the transition from MMD, re-organising, re-setting and then on to the new plans. And there’s no govt in the world that will inform it’s citizens of its plans in real time, every day, impossible. Give them another year. If they fail then make ready your crosses upon which to crucify them…the ballot!

  12. All those comments said above are useless, the same people you complain that , we are not briefed what is going on in the country and at the same time muleponta ba swine. what do you want the VEEP to do for you?

  13. Dr Scott, thanks for all said but Zambian are not proving the PF govt more on the weaker side than the stronger side given that people are still getting the same promises you were giving them before you and your party came into power. There is nothing tangible coming through up to this stage since the PF formed govt and am sure there you are headed for the quickest down fall (as a party) come 2016 if Zambians don’t get any meaningful benefits from your administratiion. I hope you understand that whatever efforts you will show closer to the next general elections won’t count to Zambians – you must have learnt from what happened with the MMD am sure.

  14. What jobs can PF create? If Guy Scott can fail to present a good speech——-what more with job creation strategies?
