  3. Basopo – eight (8) children and was still going strong post that production period! And for information of other fellow bloggers – please note that she is dead, and will therefore not rest in any peace. No part of her has gone to rest in peace (RIP) – Soul, body, etc.

    • There is a Cult named Jehova’s Witnesses, that is the cult which does not believe in being born again, or resting in peace. they believe that a person goes out like a candle. The Truth is that the spirit goes to the one who gave it. Revelation 6.

  4. Oh my goodness, what a shock….but God always has his plans. she has lead a long life and has always been an inspiration to us who lived in Zambia.
MHSRIP. God be with you KK.

  6. What was she doing in Zimbabwe then if her body is to be buried in Zambia? She might as well be buried in Zim other that Zed after all and as far as history goes, these pipo (the Kaundas) are foreigners and not true Zambians. You don’t have to go far to tell they are not part of us, just look at their names; Kambarage, Panji, Wazama-zama etc., etc.

    • Mwali shupa fye imwe… ba wiso ilyo bakesa uko eko baka bashika muli mbifi fye… limbi muli ba Ngoni instead yakunwo mukaka ku Ngombe shenu munwako umulopa nimwe ba…. there is no fitting name for you…. stupid.

  7. She is a great woman she died peacefully…. I want to sing a song Dr Kenneth Kaunda Sings but the wanting to cry is choking me… ” Bwalya wesu pali Bemba………….” Her death reminds me that GOD is faithful

  8. It is really sad for the Zambians, the Kaunda family and most especially her husband and best friend Dr. Kenneth David Kaunda. Stay strong papa we still need your wisdom. May Jehovah our God embrace you and comfort you in his infinite wisdom. We love you just like you taught us to always love thy neighbour as you would like to be loved. Go well mama Betty Kaweche Banda Kaunda. We will surely remember and evoke your name as one of Zambias’ heroines. Farewell our first first lady and MYSRIEP.

  9. @KBM. The number of her children should have been nine if her fifth child Masuzgo had not died in the 80s. The Kaundas (or is it just Kenneth) have (has) children by other mothers.

  10. Any state funeral? One more Job has been created now as Kaunda will have to find another woman to marry, so women parade yourselves bena nkandu luo, masebo too much aziche mu zambia
