MMD national executive trustee Peter Machungwa has observed MMD will eventually remain with genuine members once all people with hidden motives have left.
Dr. Machungwa said that the defections currently being expressed in the MMD will create an opportunity for people with fresh ideas to take up positions.

He added that MMD is a strong party which most Zambian cannot allow to go into extinction.

And Dr. Machungwa has also described the perceived PF wrangles as total confusion. Dr Machungwa added that the PF as a ruling party is expected show good leadership skills as well as good governance.

Meanwhile, MMD President Nevers Mumba has advised the PF government to consider using tax payer’s money to developing the country and addressing the many challenges that continue to affect the citizens.

Dr. Mumba has charged that the PF government has resorted to during tax payer’s money to destabilize the opposition in the country and MMD in particular.

The opposition leader has observed that there are a lot of needy areas in the country that require the attention of the party in government rather than attacking the opposition.

Dr. Mumba has told journalists in Lusaka today that it is also regrettable that Statehouse has continued to issue threats on the opposition in the country.

He says such a trend is very undemocratic and that with time the PF will pay for the injustices that it seems to be subjecting the people of Zambia to.

And United Liberal Party (ULP) President Sakwiba Sikota has it is incumbent upon President Michael sata to ensure tenets of democracy are upheld.

Mr. Sikota has indicated that the democracy of Zambia has continued to degenerate from the time that the PF went into government.

He adds that the PF government has been trying hard to silence the opposition who in most cases are advocates of the citizens on governance issues.

At the same occasion, Alliance for Democracy and Development (ADD) leader Charles Milupi wondered why the opposition was being stopped from holding meetings when the PF has been holding its political gatherings.

Mr. Milupi has since reminded President Michael Sata how he used to enjoy freedom of association the time he was in opposition.

Mr. Milupi what is more worrying is that the opposition is being stopped from having any form of political meeting including at grassroot level.

UPND leader Hakainde Hichilema and ZDDM president Edwin Sakala were also present.

President Michael Sata has advised the opposition to seek sober forms of engagement with the Government.

President Sata has further counseled the opposition political parties to cooperate with specific law enforcement agencies mandated with the responsibility of maintaining law and order as opposed to creating unnecessary tension.

  1. The lady next to Machungwa really smells something funky or some undu undu coming from MAchungwa’s mouth or his suit…

  2. Can somebody still dispute that a degree is very important! Just look at the reasoning of degree holders compared to drop outs in ??

  3. You guys # 1, #2, #3 and #4 you have really cracked my ribs leaving me with tears in my eyes out of laughter, imagine laughing loudly alone? That is not funny I think.

  4. Can machungwa say anything that will ever make sense? One can tell from the picture that he was talking something that was stinking.Dont waste our time !!

  5. The opposition if they are serious and open minded to develop Zambia why not form one party so that it becomes an effective opposition in 2016, otherwise this time forget and give chance to PF let them work.

PF ministers and MP’s concentarate on developing the country we are not interested in your baseless talk.

  6. Ma Orange is regretting for supporting RB. Wamona bu rebel ifya bwabipa. Just continue lecturing at UNZA. I am sure even the lectures from your mouth are smelly. The woman has told us through her expression.

  7. A house divided cant stand, and a curse has fallen on mmd for humiliating major Kachingwe in the manner they did.Bye bye mmd bye bye.

  8. LOL
AND PETER MACHUNGWA IS THE REAL MEMBER OF MMD???
WASNT HE PF AND THEN LEADER OF REBEL PF???
HE COULD BE A PF MOLE IN MMD, WHY IS HE ALWAYS AROUND WHEN THESE TROUBLES IN MMD ARE STIRRING???

  9. Machungwa you are just a former PF rebel what can you say iwe muselela kwakaba? You judgement this time was wrong that MMD will retain power. Go to hell!

  10. Machungwa you are not true member of this party. you are a rolling stone there is only one member in that NEC who is unshaken, Nyangu.

  11. Dr Machungwa I beg to differ with you. Forming MMD took the best of Zambia. What is happening now is purging the true blue including you.

  12. MMD will not go to extinct regardless of how much Serpent Cobra Ukwa Sata CNP temper to destroy it. Serpent Cobra Ukwa Sata CNP is a roller coaster from UNIP, MMD and formed his PF which will survive till his last breath and thereafter no as its not of quality to survive beyond after we vote them out 2016. Party yama silu, bamukolwe, bakabalwe, etc.

  13. The problem with the MMD is that there are lot of MPs who stole while in government, and Sata seem to have struck deals with those MPs to destabilize the MMD, in return they will not be prosected by Sata. The best for the MMD leadership is to find an oppropriate time to expel all of them. But the problem—-again is that, they are so many!

  14. politics of the stomach, its really difficult to be yourself when your bag of mealie meal is finished at home,ma orange couldnt stay in PF wanted more fruits in MMD bt found none, sorry cash nayo ya bo sila.

  15. Though i never supported Machungwa, he is right!

If you Zambians thinks Sata and his corrupt leadership are playing you are in for a rude shock. From your useless and meaningless comments you are passing in support of this fanatic Sata, you are playing with fire. For us who experienced the evil man Kaunda’s UNIP and his vigilante type of government, Zambians can not sleep why this evil man Sata are raping and destroying democracy, the next time you wake up, you will find that has started to kill opposition leaders and his paranoid perceived enemies like the way IDI AMIN did in Uganda in the 1970s.

Its time Zambians realize that is not up to any good, he is just waiting for Zambians to be sleep while he rapes our money using his family companies.

    Zambians will soon rise up!

  16. Since Sata is a corrupt dictator and he is denying Zambians their free speech and freedom of association as enshrined in the constitution, its time Zambians start using the Social Media to communicate with every Zambians against the nepotism and dictatorship of Sata and his corrupt dictatorship.

Zambia was the first Country in Southern Africa (and the only country South of Africa) which used the Arab spring type of change of government to remove Kaunda’s dictatorship in the 1990s.

It can do it even this time against Sata’s dictatorship.

The social media worked well against dictators, in the Arab spring, its time Zambians even opposition parties uses FACEBOOK, TWITTER, and other social media to mobilise against Sata and his corrupt PF leadership.

  17. The only thing u picked from the story is a woman looking like she is smelling something bad. Isn’t that the way a certain president looks like? Like he is forever smelling something rotten? Joke is on you pathetic failures

  18. Education can not make one Wise. Reading many books can only add to one’s knowledge.
Knowledge can be acquired but Wisdom can not be acquired. It has to be cultivated from within.
degrees everywhere simply trains the brain to think widely but does not give wisdom. But wisdom without much knowledge also is a handicap. We can’t put a degree as a minimum because some diplomas are better than some degrees, especially ifi Kwakwa. EG what does a Unza Library studies grad have that is missed in a Water engineering or Marketing diploma holders? That is why a degree as a minimum makes no sense. Maybe if they said a diploma as minimum might be a bit wise. Anyway Zambia has a leadership crises but not because of degrees but because politics are too dirty to attract reasonable people.
