Embattled Nkana seek first league win

Share

Beleaguered Nkana visit national Assembly on Saturday in search of an elusive first league win of the 2015 FAZ Super Division season.

The Kitwe side have endured a turbulent start to the season after picking up just one point from their opening three games.

Nkana’s results have seen them lose both their home league games while their only point so far came in a 0-0 away draw at Konkola Blades on March 21.

Crucially, the record-twelve time champions head to Lusaka with a revamped bench whose sole survivor is head coach Beston Chambeshi after Tuesday’s firing of Gift Kampamba and Zeddy Saileti.

And so Chambeshi and his pick of new assistants in Linos Makwaza and Fidelis Chungu are set for a trial on Saturday against fellow winless side National Assembly as Nkana tries to justify the changes.

Meanwhile, Assembly are just below Nkana in 13th place also on one point.

However, Assembly have a poor record against Nkana and trace their last win over the latter to 2004 and since then amassed a record of five defeats and three draws.

Memories are also still very fresh of the two sides last meeting in November when Nkana thumped Assembly 6-0 in Lusaka.

“It is just a game like any other game. Nkana is a Premier League team like we are also in the Premier League so we are going to face them as equals,” Assembly coach George Kapembwa said.

  1. How come ine tamuncekelako ka plot eponatampila ukwipusha?

I am a black Zambian born & bred , daughter, sister, mother, aunt, cousin & on top of that granny!
Both my parents, now old , siblings, child, grand kids plus a very big extended family are all in ZAMBIA!!
Now, after being away from my “sweet” motherland for so long, I now hold a non-Zambian citizenship due to ‘circumstances’
Having said that, every time i go back to Zambia to visit MY PEOPLE I’ve also looked for a place to settle down.
BUT when i consulted a govt, official I was asked to first invest a QUARTER Million US $!! HOW COME?
Mind you when l left Zambia i was young, broke, with little education. If not for a marrying a European I’d probably still be a Zambian Citizen. Do i also qualify to own land in my motherland
