Mighty Mufulira Wanderers made a memorable return to visit old enemy Power Dynamos in Kitwe on Saturday whom they made to work overtime for a fortunate draw at Arthur Davies Stadium.
Mighty were all over Power in the opening ten minutes of the first half at an overflowing Arthur Davies Stadium in Kitwe.
They took a deserved lead in the 4th minute when Moses Nyambe pounced on a loose ball after Joel Kanyeba had spilt Lameck Silwaba initial shot.
Power however could not find a route passed Mighty’s goalkeeper Joshua Manjongo who was filling in for Mulife Sitali who has Malaria.
Manjongo denied efforts from Larry Bwalya in the 14th and Lwipa three time during the course of the match.
Relief for Power came in the 72nd minute when Jimmy Ndhlovu hammered in a pass from Richard Kasonde to calm coach Tennant Chilumba’s nerves.
But Power were lucky not to lose the game in the 87th minute when Jacob Ngulube’s effort came off the post then hit the line and then cleared back into play.
The draw came just four days after Power were beaten 1-0 away by leaders Zanaco to end their brief reign at the top of the table and see the latter take charge.

Could not watch no power (electricity) ati no network for units called call centre but there do not know whats going on.
Ba Zesco sure no back up plan for their stupid project of meters installation.
This was a fixture I loved to watch when I was in Zed. Anyone remember when Peter Kaumba was at power and Alex? Then Mighty had Frederick Kashimoto the midfield genius and the great Efford Chabala in goal. Ala elyo yagi ni bolaaaaah!
I am a Mighty fan…..and talking of those days Peter Kaumba used to collapse my veins when a touches the ball….
