Dr Kaunda who said he enjoyed the cake which was decorated in colours of the national flag and thanked the gathering for the kind gesture of remembering to celebrate his birthday with him.
“I’m grateful, I’m humbled”, said Dr Kaunda while nodding his head as he read the message in his birthday card.

He’s an ailing old man yes. But also an ex dictator who screwed up many people’s lives in the name of political ideology and power.

@Nyau you are a curnt! Look at the positive sides of the man- I dont know how old you are but I can tell you I had the best years of my life growing up in Zambia and going to school at Frederick Knapp (probably the best school in Zambia at that time)! Yes and KK brought us free education and agreeably in the end it was tough but on a scale of 1-10 I rate KK at 11.
Old KEN may look useless and unimportant to Zambia now, but believe me you, time will soon come when we shall remember him so fondly….
Happy birthday Mr. Zambia. One Zambia, one nation
