Sinozongwe Schools receives their first Computer

The New Vision for Africa a Christian Non-governmental Organisation (NGO) has donated 33 Maccintosh Computers to Sinazongwe Basics Schools.

Sinazongwe district Guidance Coordinator Kafupi Banda said the donation would help to improve children’s literacy in computers.

Mr. Kafupi disclosed that 41 Schools have been targeted to benefit from the set programme of acquiring 410 computers.

“Our aim is that each School should have 10 computers and teachers would be trained in computers for them to be able teach the pupils,” he said.

The guidance noted that there future plan was to ensure that all Schools in the district were hooked to the internet to improve on efficiency and communication in the operation of education activities.

He said some computers would go to the teacher’s resources centre where there are teaching materials for teachers.

Sinazongwe district education office is the only government institution that has internet connection via a satellite.

But rest of government departments talked to said internet connectivity was not even among their plans to improve the delivery of Information Communication Technologies (ICTs
