The Zambia Under-20 national soccer has been ranked 11th in the world and 3rd in Africa on the latest official FIFA ratings.
This follows the junior Chipolopolo Boys’ performance at the just ended FIFA World Cup tournament held in CANADA last month.
Champions Argentina are ranked first followed by the Czech Republic while Chile is third and Canada who hosted the event is ranked 24th in the world.
This is according to FAZ Spokesperson Joseph Nkole.
Nkole said as a result of the boys’ skillful display of football in Canada, the Zambian lads attracted a lot of interest from foreign scouts who want to connect them to European clubs.
The boys derserve it. They did so well and I think we have a very bright future if the boys remain calm. Well done boys, but stay away from the bottle and Bwachies
Well done but rankings mean nothing without results and results usually come with good organisation.
#2. But rankings come with results te?
#3. You are right. #3.How do they rank u without results?
Sorry it was #2 how do they rank u without results?
I am SO pleased with this development, I’m having a horrible day and this has cheered me up. Well done boys. Justice please don’t be a cynic.
#5. Justice, Denmark.
That’s the thing. Rankings proceed forth from results. These standings reflect the efforts that our lads and everyone else put in at the world cup.
Long Live U20
