  2. AIM Resources says drilling at Zambia copper-gold project to begin this month
Mining company AIM Resources Ltd said drilling at its Mumbwa copper-gold project in Zambia will start later this month. It said it has engaged three drilling rigs to complete 13 cored holes for a total of about 9,100 metres. Ground personnel have already inspected the drill sites and logistics management is underway, it added.

  3. It said the drilling programme is the follow up to previously intersected mineralisation, announced on May 22, which yielded 655.4 metres at 0.46 pct Cu and included some gold in drill hole S36-001.

  4. I would love to see to it that gvt is aware of implications of uranium mining. It is my hope that experts are employed especially Zambians who may have their kin at heart. We may not have the capacity to redress radioactive contamination and strong measures including decontamination and penalties MUST be put in place before allowing companies to start mining of uranium. Radioactive contamination may not be as acute as acid spillage that we have seen in terms of diagnosis and treatment.
