Govt happy with industrial harmony on the CB

Government says it is happy with the industrial harmony obtaining on the Copperbelt.

Labour minister Mr. Ronald Mukuma has expressed happiness saying this was due to the political leadership in the province.

He said this Tuesday morning when he paid a courtesy call on Copperbelt deputy minister Mr. Mwansa Mbulakulima.

He also urged University of Zambia lecturers and the Ministry of Education to find a better way of restoring harmony between themselves in sorting out the go slow by the lecturers at the highest learning institution in the land.

He said he was hopeful that a lasting solution will soon be found to the impasse and that would be in the interest of all Zambians.

The minister is on the Copperbelt to check on the progress that has been made since he launched a restructuring exercise of the Board at the Workers Compensation Fund ( WCF) last year.

According to the letter circulated by Workers compensation Fund public relations manager Mr. Mark Nkolomba, the minister had come to acquaint himself with the several changes that had taken place since.
