Iam still the right presidenial candidate, Magande

Share

Losing MMD Presidential aspirant and Finance and National Planing Minster, Ngandu Magande, still insists that he is the rightful candidate to succeed the late Zambian republican President, Levy Mwanawasa had the National Executive Committee (NEC) members settled on him.

Yesterday, Mr. Magande lost by 32 votes to guarantee Mr. Rupiah Banda who is also the republican Acting President to scoop the MMD candidency that was heavily contested by other MMD presidential aspirants.

Speaking in an interview with ZANIS in Lusaka today, Mr. Magande claimed that he is clean and Dr. Mwanawasa entrusted him as Finance Minister because of his prudent accountability to public resources.

He said for many years he had worked with Dr. Mwanawasa, he never stolen a single ngwee from public the coffers.

Mr. Magande, however, said he will throw his weight to the newly elected MMD President, Rupiah Banda, and described the MMD elections as democratic and free and fair.

He declared that he has always been ready to succeed since he was assured byDr. Mwanawasa because he and the late president wanted Zambia to become a prosperous and rich nation in 2030 because government planned for Vision 2030.

He further called for unity in the party in the interest to foster national development if the legacy of the late President Mwanawasa is to live on.

And MMD Deputy National Chairman, Kabinga Pande, has urged the MMD to support newly elected MMD Presidential candidate, Mr. Rupiah Banda.

Mr. Pande says Mr. Banda alone cannot deliver without the support of all party members.

He says NEC’s decision to pick on the acting Republican President was arrived at from the cries of the people because MMD is a listening party and also a listening government.

Yesterday, Mr. Rupiah Banda scooped the MMD Presidential candidature that was heavily contested by other MMD presidential hopefuls. He polled 43 votes to beat other contestors.

He said it is the wish of the ruling party to see to it that Mr. Banda is elected republican President who will take over the developmental projects initiated by Dr. Mwanawasa.

He charged that one way to honour Dr. Mwanawasa is for the MMD to vote for Mr. Banda so that the legacy of the late Zambian leader lives on.

The MMD Deputy National Chairman further called on the nation to vote for the acting President, Rupiah Banda, because he has shown leadership qualities and maturity to govern the nation.

  1. Its true Magande is far much better than lupiya, who is this lupiya anyway ? Just look around the people who are surrounding him. Zambians open your eyes. Its better to vote for someone else than lupiya even the name explains it all , just after ULUPIYA you can ask his grandfaher how the name came about (if he is still living).Levy P. Mwanawasa MHSRIP

  2. I wish the Auditor General can do a snip check on how the public coffers have been handled since RB has been in charge. When I write that the plunderers are back, that`s no joke at all. It`s free for all.

  3. Magande is corrupt he was chased in the U.S. for corruption.

Plus now the Zambia Airways issue $1.6 to bail The Post News paper.

  4. Dont judge a book by its cover!!! You were against Mwanawasa and everyone thot Chiluba will still be ruling bcoz he was picked by him. Lets wait and see what Rupia if he wins will do. Magande thinks he can use the post to get to plot one! Never!!! We r watching and will go to vote wisely in November

  5. It doesn’t matter ba Magande. You were not going to make it, even RB is just a formality!!! Welcome to opposion ba MMD!!!

  6. All you illegal immigrants in the U.S. and England why don’t you all go home to your beloved Zambia since you all love rb so much, don’t stay here in my country and call people in your home land names get the hell out and go home.
    Set of jack ass!

  7. Thanx LT for the flags. They have exposed these mambalaz living out side Zed. I am shoked that most of the blogging is coming from abroad. It only comfirms that pa Zed internet technology tesana.

Ba Magande mudala just form your own party with Memmbe and the Nchito bros. Dont cry over spilt milk!!!!!!!

  8. Magande, whatelse did LPM tell you to takeover? You have forgoten to mention one important! Didnt he mention anything about taking over Maureen as your wife??? He trusted you so much kabili!!!

  9. But did any one of you read the latest Executive Issues to see how Magande wanted to bail out Zambian Airs in which The Post has 30%. On the other did you also see how the Post was companying for Magande?

  10. LT you’re proving to be fake too. How can you tell me that im postibng comments to quickly when this is the only comment I have every attempted to post today? Useless!!

  11. I DONT UNDERSTAND. MAGANDE IS SAYING THAT HE SUPPORTS RUPIAH BUT HE IS INSISTING THAT HE IS THE RIGHT CANDIDATE. IT MEANS HE DOES NOT ACCEPT DEMOCRACY. DONT LIVE IN THE PAST LOOK TO THE FUTUIRE. AM WITH YOU THO I WILL GIVE U A VOTE IN 2011

  12. Magande is still as arrogant as ever. Its funny that the Post are firmly behind yet it is them that informed us that Magande was unemployed for a couple of years before LPM appointed him finance minister. He was basking in the glory of single digit inflationpbut where is it now? So much for a so called economic genius.

  13. #10 I don’t think these flags show where somebody is. Just check the flag against your name and you will prove me right.

  14. Who was crying for RB? These guys are not serious about running the country. To put old brains and old ideas on the ticket, it a shame. If they really were looking to improve the country they would have chosen a younger leader at least by ten years or so. Mange vima dinasours…. Tili muchibe. No choice but HH now. If RB wins we know itis rigged. Because I doubt Zambians want to go back to the days of UNIP, where apples were no where to be seen, and a man who said “even here in Japan you have Zeco problems” (G. Zulu). Young Zambians lets take our country back these stone henges are taking our vote for granted.

  15. In all this, just remember one thing: there is no such thing as free lunch. The Post knows this and so are suppoters for RB. Except of course, The Post wants to pretend that this does not apply to them.

  16. #19 I agree with you. Some one said NUMBERS LIE AND LIARS NUMBER. Politicians can just use numbers to show that the economy has improved but how much is fuel, melie meal and how many people are unemployed? Go to Kanyama, Mutendere, Chibolya and you will see the real Zambia not when you are at Arcades or Manda Hill. lets be realistic and not be academic about figures.

  17. Iwe magande! you dont sound as clean as you claim. You are talking like a 4 yr old kid. If you are Levy’s preferred candidate for 2011, why do you sound biter about this presidential by-election which levy didnt even foresee? Stop talking crap and prepare yourself for 2011. If I dont go down b4 2011, you shall have vote. behave yourself!

  18. Right guy but does not appeal to the people. i think he used the wrong strategy by claimng to be the chosen one with no evidence to support. Magande seeking MMCI and post backing was not the best idea!

  19. This magande lost elections, but he is still insiting that he was the chosen one by mwanawasa. THIS JUST SHOWS THAT HE IS NOT a democratic. Zambia is not a monarch. This is the end of you magande in terms of politics. When RB wins forget about that post you are holding.

  20. Iwe #21 the flags show where you are blogging from. The flag on my earlier massage is the right one.

#20 i have just checked out the site, thanx!I now prove that you guys dig deeper than the post.

  21. Mwanawasa!Mwanawasa!Magande!Magande!zambia wake-up!Unless you want Mwamba Luchembe or Captain Solo to rule you, wakeup! Magande,Maureen Kakubo, Rajan Mahtani and Moses Katumbi will rule the country if you behave sloppy,…I would rather you vote for another candidxate other than RB!Uwa mantwi onfwe! We were there when LPM expired and we know whta Maureen is capable of:LEAD ZAMBIA INTO AN ABYSS AND PERPETUAL NEPOTISM>
. SEE WHAT HAS HAPPEN TO ZAMBIA’S FOREIGN SERVICE AND PARASTATALS!UWA MATWI ONFWE!

  22. Magande is crying over spilt milk. If you cry over spilt milk it simply means that you have no alternative/option. So he thinks he will not make it in future since this is the only chance he had for which he was “annointed” and supported by the POST.Otherwise he should work hard for next MMD convetion.

  23. #20 I have also checked the site but should he hold the rally on the same day and same time the ZEDIANS will be watching the soccer match: Zambia 1 V Togo 1

  24. #35
Ok Kapila boyi, the flags aside lets turn to serious issues. Since you are in Zed ukamvoteleko pabwato please!!!!!!!

  25. Magande, when will tell the truth about your real background and why you were fired in your so-called international job that you keep quoting as the exprerience that entitles you to leadeship in Zambia? Dont force us to expose you.

  26. mmd has shown us what they are made of greedy jod seekers not intrested in progress but selfish intrests. Job seekers plundrers. ready to drag RB into their mud

  27. Hey 38 Eagle-One USA:
He was never fired, any Secretary General of the ACP Group of States has a term limit of 5 years. Why dont you research information before showing your ignorance! What international experience do you have other than being a run away slave who is still chasing his/her dreams!

  28. RB doesn’t strike me as the sought that should rep Zed at any iternational meeting; He has no credentials for crying out loud; if u probe deeper, Im sure u will unearth the appalling; Does he even have a graduate degree or hes one of the lucky ones that got handpicked in kaunda’ time…One thing I know for sure is that He’s 72 and the wife’s 33; OMG! that aside; RB and Sata are too old, fast going senile…Sil vous plait, votez avec le sagesse; Je vous ‘en prie tous!
    Merci

  29. Magande is likely to resign from the govt or worse still expelled. however if the PF or UPND wins the elections, he is likely to be re-appointed FM. Check the handshake between RB and Magande, it is not genuine and RB was shying away

  30. I am not a supporter of any of the people standing, but thought I should make a contribution. Its interesting to note that many of you are directing personal comments and in some cases insults at people who won’t even read these postings. Magande will not read this, hence your advice to him to shut up or do this and that is just wasting time and space. The man was asked a question by a journalist, hence the ‘Speaking during an interview with ZNIS’. Understand the context before commenting on the real issues raised in the article, not just one or two sentences. What if the journalist asked ‘ Do you still feel you are a capable leader after losing to R. Banda?’.

  31. We will probably not fully know, since the article sounds like it was written from the perspective of someone who was watching the interview- and not the interviewer themselves. Either way, he was giving his personal opinion. He also mentioned that he would throw his weight behind the elected candidate (Banda). He accepted the result…he did not mount a coup or start a riot etc…Even Hilary Clinton still believes she is ready to be president, but the reality is that the one chosen was Obama.

  32. The opinion she has of herself does not make her any less of a democrat than Magande. That is just the reality of winning and losing. Its pitiful to see the lack of maturity and use of critical thinking in the manner in which people analyse issues on these blogs. Zambia will only develop when people are ready to use their heads, understand all angles of the issues at stake and then respond accordingly. Not just over 1 or two things that stick out and appeal to their emotions. Mediocrity will doom or country.

  33. Zambians wake up please. Vote those theives out of Gov’t. They are ralling behind RB because he will not fire them for incompetence. Its so disheartening to see Zambia starting the journey going backwards. Why do you hate to be ruled by people with vision? Why do you want to take a zig zag trip to develop? Please tax payers open your eyes and show these MMD dunderheads that you cannot be taken for granted.

  34. but kwena elyo tupwile mu Zed. RB from the archives, who will bring in VJ who has survived on my tax all his life. I think VJ has to pay back that money, its too much of a cake for one person. Time will tell. As a young person I need to rule now. We do not need archived individuals for Zambian solutions. They did their part. Kwena elyo tupwile pa Zed

  35. for the sake of continuity i think its ok for ba mudala ba RB to steady the ship and then come next elections we can see what to do .kona buniti ona bo!
what we need to do is change the indocrination instilled in the zambian psyche that he who steals the most is the makali one.for example people ( fellow politicians alike)laugh at mundia sikatana cos ,inspite of holding the powerfull agriculture and foreign affairs ministerial potofolios,he was still the least wealthy of the lot.a man of true intergrity if you ask me.can we please find more of his ilk.the is no need to steal mina batu.the zambian cake is big enough for the needy and the greedy.
    zambia ki sipolopolo!!

  37. Zambians how do you allow thieves to take the country while you are looking. Maybe you look but you don’t see. You do not need a degree to understand the trategy the RB have formed. This country will regret if it votes RB in office. Who is RB anyway? What has he done to the Zambian nation?

  40. Mawe!! Cisi bacisaala baba batewu. Sa umwe tamuboni!! Sa nguni wamulowa umwe bantu to allow Mwaanga the professional rig….er of votes. Wake up you sleeping dogs…

  41. lets hope you people back home will vote wisely.we dont want a situation were votes from the villages take someone to plot 1 as it was the case in the previous elections…

  42. trade
Rupiya is not trust worthy , over hefty salaries he kept quiet, mwanga is back and all the unip forks.we dont want you Banda you are useless if anything the chaps just want to use you.people like Teta,vJ, CHONGWE etc.

  43. Shame on you Rupiah, we chikulu ulefulila umwana obe , can you really take care of the nation.go for your fellow 70s. chi difiller.

  44. and dont forget the salary increaments that these guys backing RB offered themselves..they know the wickness in him and feel they will start(continue) stealing since there will be no one to check their backs.am just hoping for the best, otherwise we cant afford to go back to the times of plunders with no dream of making zambia a better place for every zambian.

  45. Ba trade number 72 umusalula twalesha landeniko ifyamano. real issues not insele twakana.pantu nganiba magande kuti bateka banani ngebo mule suppoter imwe ba trade. viva king cobra

  46. FK, you are rite, Rupiya is a dull person he can not forsee things to come. They want to use him cause he is the chancer and want to use every oppotunity to make money to please his little wife even if he can not afford more than 2 rounds per nite.

  47. Lupiya Banda never been MMD, if so then secretely for less than 2 yrs active membership required to be MMDs’ candidate. If he can be part of this step to break a party law believe me the man has no morals he will break the nations law. Besides, who ever has enthroned him to the same he will be subject.

Zambians we are a proud and great people and have all we need to be wealthy and out of poverty but one thing we lack is just Leadership. I mean Leaders of service and not these leaders of opportunity we always seem to get. Do you honestly think and believe people like Chitala, Chongwe, Mulongoti, Venon Mwanga Tetamashimba can get us anywhere? Absolutely no. They will get themselves somewhere

  48. The issue is we need a leader with a spine to harness and protect our natural resources, and use them to develop and mother Z. in a hurry. We have the umbandance of them, but its the chinese and the indians that are benefiting. Ba Sata God bless his heart, balwele, Magande showed us he could stand up for us. RB ukwalola umwela, I hope he will stand and not be misled by his minions. Let him aticulate the vision he has 4 Z, and not parrot the vision 2030 he doesnt understand. If he becomes Pres of Z, it will be his admn and his legacy. It wont be ‘finishing the mwanawassa programz’ it will be ‘the Banda admni’ even tho 4 2.5yrs. God twafweni

  49. Bane whether we like it or not if we vote MMD in these by-elections money yaluba. two years patali alot can happen because some of these sponsors for RB are broke there coming back with a purpose meanwhile others we are used to working hard to make earns meet.

  50. vote for sata bane you wont regret, try him for only 3years he can peform i know.mwana akalila bonzo ni kumupasa.lupiya cant deliver believe me or not bu kabolala bwalayamba.

  51. #82 Masai iwe. We used to call Levy names, and today you say he is replaceable? M.H.S.R.P, he was a good man, but we were still complaining. We need Sata to clean up Zambia, and we need NEWS not that Ruphiah. MMD rallies will be held in classrooms this time!!

  52. Indeed PN you were the right candidate for that post. It is a pity nobody saw that because everyone is embeded to protecting their thieving interests and could not fit in in LPM’s standards. We cry for a clean party to take over and continue from where LPM left. Whoever comes in should not disturb the relationship with China. China is a big market world wide. Our copper price has remained high due to the same market. All countries in the world look to china now for their products. We can only advise China to improve the quality of their products that they send to us!

  53. well pipo, we should not take it for granted that lupia money band will be president. forget not that there are still aspirants from other p. parties. if magande lost on democratic basis, even if he thinks he is the annointed one, he and we should be content with the fact that democracy is part of mmd, other p parties and in zambia as whole. (hate the flag on my name ’cause i am not in the states. LT do samusing about this silent gafe)

  54. well pipo, we should not take it for granted that lupia money band will be president. forget not that there are still aspirants from other p. parties. if magande lost on democratic basis, even if he thinks he is the annointed one, he and we should be content with the fact that democracy is part of mmd, other p parties and in zambia as whole. 55. No. 50 your are right. Fools are commenting on what Magande it seems did not say or said it in a different context. The LT article does not quote him word for word what he said. How can you therefore make such a thing a headline. What is wrong with saying, apparently in answer to a question, that I thought I was a better candidate but I accept the result!!!!!!Muzibelenga imwe bana ba mfwiti!!!!BA LT also you should not peddle lies.

  56. We need to start questioning the deals struck between Magande and the post?? They seem to be so desperate to influence the people’s will. They now think they are the Rupert Murdoch’s of Zambia! These chaps must have portioned the cake to themselves but somewhere along the line, the script has changed. shame on them!

  57. Those for the merger of PF / UPND. You can send a suggestion email to [email protected]

Its better than having RB Unip / MMD for president. i am sending in my suggestion are you? Lets unite for Zambias sake, our country.

  58. Is it by self proclamation and upraising that one becomes a leader?is it the hand of fate that has chosen Rupiah Banda against Magande and many others?Rupiah Banda seems better than the rest judging by his handling of the most difficult time we have go through.

  59. RB is too weak to lead Zambia at such a crucial time.Zambia needs a semi-autocrat to have firm control on this banditry taking place in our nation.RB is afraid to confront or stop anyone from looting our public resources.Check out how everyone is walking all over him.Imagine KAKA being at the center of running RB`s campaign. Before long the govt will enter a nolle in Katele`s crimanal case.I wouldn`t be surprised to see Xavier Chungu back and engineer another fradulent election victory similar to the one he carried out with VJ in 2001.
I am suddened that these thugs are back in control of our country.

  60. Timely warning to my fellow bloggers: LT has done a recommendable job by introducing flags so that we have a clue where comments are coming from. This gives us a hint that you can easily be traced with your irresponsible and careless comments. So let us contribute positively and constructively to our nation on issues. Congrats big bro LT.

  61. Atase! Kanshi uletubepa iwe LT? Flags are fack ones and are just appearing randomly? BE truthful work on the technology well.

  62. With or without flags ip addresses are necessary for any computers to talk to each other. Assignment for the weekend : read on TCP/IP subject.

    Nakaba

  63. RB takes back to the old sorry days of UNIP.We need young Presidents in SADC.The likes of Khama,Kikwete,Mbeki,Kabila,etc…..Magande or HH are the right age groups. We to need move forwards both in leadership and economy.

  64. Wats gud zedians I know we all love our country no matter what we say bout it dats our motherland there is nothing we can do bout it.lets address real issue & not criticize one another aight..zed is a democratic nation so if RB won the MMD candidacy let it be and if he gonna win the By-Election dats wats up its democracy & if you feel you can do better than him Y not contest.give him a chance & let him do wat he can do for the nation aight..dis is bout pushing the nation forward let the people decide wat they want..Big ups to positive bloggers to you I salute…zedians lets post maturity kinda stuff for our own good aight…one zambian one nation so we are one people..at the end 1Love.

  65. RB takes us back to the old sorry days of UNIP.We need young Presidents in SADC.The likes of Khama,Kikwete,Mbeki,Kabila,etc…..Magande or HH are the right age groups. We to need move forwards both in leadership and economy.

  66. The day we start agreeing with the Post is the day we will be on our way to economic development. Simply stated they are advocating for good leadership for the masses (12 million poeple is the magic number). I am not surprised that the bloggers can’t comprehend that. If anyone wants to respond to this please don’t insult, because all that will tell me is that you did not think (also called using your medula) when replying.

  67. Sick and tired of same old Zambian politicians, young people rise up for 2011, Obama is doing it, Kikwete did it, why can’t we did it?

  68. Sorry, guys What qualifications does RB have??Check that body language; fake. Time is up for MMD.Why do Zambians like recycling old, used items? second hand, wasted items.

  69. membe ni kabolala…he is busy telling us lies and insulting people in his editorials. why can i invest in a company and not get any money from it? fyabufi! he is not even principald or uncompromised, and now that his candidate has lost he is worried. when did banda ever mention disturbing commercial investments. Hichilema stop lyin

  70. I find it unbelievable to read some people’s comments that Michael Sata is the right man for the job. This man is as bad as FTJ and believe it or not worse than FTJ. Maybe some of you were still young to remember how this so called Sata was fiercely campaiging for a third term for his friend. Clearly is this totally rebellious, disrespectful and disregard of the supreme laws of Zambia. His dealing with FTJ are beyond our understanding and if I recall very well Sata even made a statement at one time that if he becomes presidents- the first thing he will do is forgive Chiluba of his transgressions. Now who comes first to Sata? FTJ or the people of Zambia! Vote wisely people!

  71. Sunday Post lead story is headlined: “Rupiah’s campaign shifts to Sata” and reports that MMD chairman Michael Mabenga yesterday warned that they are not afraid of Patriotic Front president Michael Sata… …” It’s so sad to watch Fred Meembe’s castle of sand crumble around his feet as he is caught in his own web of lies; or to quote one of his favorite sayings: “tandem” of lies. It is hardly two days when he made a big production of taking on Sata by declaring that the Post would accept his challenge not to write or report on him; and what do we see today? A lead story on Sata and Meembe’s newly-found whipping boy Rupiah Banda! Lead story, no less!!

  72. CONT’D…And what are we to make of you Meembe? It appears he has no qualms about telling lies himself; the same lies he finds so distasteful in others! Given the high moral ground you purport to speak from with your delusional authority, you ain’t nothing but a low windbag. It’s only a matter of time before your and Maureen Mwanawasa’s own shameless “tandem” of lies over a non-existent “Will” naming Magande as Mwanawasa’s successor catch up with you. Neither Sata nor Rupia Banda needs either one of you and your Post. You need them!!

  73. This samw banda looks so much of an empty vessel,i dnt think he has an plans at all 4 mother zambia. Its like all these crooks around him know his weakness tht he wont be able to catch them whenever they steal.I wish we cud hav the american system where candidates r put on the screen and interviewed abt their plans 4 the nation.

  74. Magande was never chased from the US. He was never fired from an international job. Ignorant people think international jobs are permanent. We all know that a Tonga can never lead Zambia because of Bemba and Ngoni nationalism. One day this will bring problems to the country. The trouble with Zambia is that the educational standars are too low. There is just a handful of intellectuals to speak of. Just see how many Ghanains, Nigerians, Kenyans are at Harvard, Yale, Cornell, Columbia and the other Ivy league universities while Zambians languish at community colleges. The columns in these pages speaks volumes about the level of education of the participants.

  75. I think the young Generation should form a Party which should contest elections in 2011, it is time for the young to take over in Zed. I just wonder why there is no pension age in Politics, i mean it should be 65 just like in other jobs.

  76. hey guys can someone shed more light on lupiah banda’s past engagements in LCC,namboad, foreign afairs ministrial position, and as an embass chief in many countries back then? yesterday’s post editorial mentioned these issues without elaborating on what exactly he did wrong, rather just carried some negative conotations.i am sure there someone out there who might have good info as regards the the man at hang,LB.

  77. Rupiah Banda Vs Micahel Sata. Looks to me we’re back to the First Republic … no progress at all, countrymen. Might as well go back to the days of safari suit mentality.

  78. #122 Mr. Cheese are you an intellectual yourself? I really doubt that, because I do not see anything in your comments that shows that. You claim that “the trouble with Zambia is that the educational standards are too low”, fine but you have forgotten one simple thing, to offer a solution to the problem. When we criticise we should as well remember to offer a solution. Don’t think that the people in Zambia are stupid, watch your comments

  79. Zambians, how can u quickly 4get?RB n his pipo almost increased by 300% their salaries, thank God that it ddnt work. What'll be the future of Zed with these greedy men when they'll have signature? Those old dinausors a there 2 steal n create division.Remember Zambians, how can u quickly 4get?RB n his pipo almost increased by 300% their salaries, thank God that it ddnt work. What'll be the future of Zed with these greedy men when they'll have signature? Those old dinausors a there 2 steal n create division.Remember

    Think Zed

  80. #120 Cheese your reasoning is pathetic. One wonders what you are doing in America.

Tony Blair never went to Oxford Uni nor did he go Cambridge. Gordon Brown got a degree at a very young age but it oesn`t mean he is more intelligient than Tony. Now F off young girl.

  81. #123 Wa njipaya kunseko ” days of ama safari suits” that was a good one, anyway looks like that is where we heading to

  82. #122. Whats your point and how do you compare a country like Nigeria with 140 million pipo to Zambia. They woould win in all statistics including corruption and porverty.

If you are so smart than all of us here offer some solutions instead of sounding like Mangandes son! Pushi wa knatu iwe

  83. Zambians just shut up. Dont you know that am the only person who understand Zambia better? who among you was able to raise pay as you earn (Tax) from 30% to 37.5% and who was brave enough to raise prices of commodities such as Mealie Meal? Dont you think that even fuel prices would have remained as low as I found them? you have no right to talk about National issues. let me rule.

  84. Conglats R.B.for your overwelming victory! All we need pa Zed is
peace and unity that we have always enjoyed.Too bad for the losers,
please try your luck next time.God bless Zambia!

  85. Zambians are not at falut for this state of affairs – it’s that minority of people in hte MMD NEC who voted for RB. They’ve given him to Zambia as their best choice. They can’t impose who we the people choose for president.

Let internal wrangles remains just that – internal. At national level, we have hard decisions to make and its sad there aren’t any oppostion figures offering sound leadership and direction.

We will be led by the lost.

  86. Iwe # 26.Toygal. Sorry i cant give RB a cnance with VJ by his side. MY vote is too important to be abused in such a way. I will not!

  87. wrong choice ba mmd,,i know they are loosing this time around unless they use dirty vernon mwanga tricks, lupiya banda is not gud to lead this country.

  88. #Cheese before you make wrong conclusions about how many Zambians are Oxbridge you should consider the populations of the respective countries.Nigerians are about 300 Million so expect to see them everywhere in the world.I don’t know maybe where you are Zambians go to cheap colleges but I have met Zambians who attened Cambridge,Oxford,Imperial,Warwick and Queen Mary’s.They hold key positions in their respective work places. We Zambians don’t brag like the others.
The number 1 post grad Law provider,The College of Law,is not full of the groups you have mentioned.

  89. I guess there is power in blogging ladies and gentlemen, I see the POST has reacted to the Zambian Airways issue that has been thrown left, right and center on this blog since magande was mentioned as a proffered candidate. Has anybody read their editorial and what is their defence, please share.

  90. I don’t think Cheese has been exposed going by the way she/he perceives things.
One thing about Nigerians is that everyone claims to have a degree.Mind you some are actually bought from lecturers! They still hire people to do their coursework here in the UK.No wonder some fail to pass their conversion courses for doctors and lawyers. And just by virtue of them being loud people like Cheese think they are the most educated…Maybe they are in things like 419 dealings.

  91. #146. They confirm their interest in the airline with an initial investment of $3 million. They have challenged Zambian airways to issue a statement of any wrong doing with their investment. They have not mentioned the bail out the airline has been linked to. Not so impresive offense in my opinion.

Bola panshi, interesting few weeks ahead!!

  92. I dont think this blogging is the issue.. as number 91 said,…. the marjority of u live outside Zambia,… so your rantings are not a reflection of the voters views,…. it is deemed u are ill informed about issues on the ground. The real reason they have been put on the defense is that they were exposed by EXECUTIVE ISSUES….. and obviously now that RB is in the running,… they are are wetting their pants with fear….after hurling all sorts of insults at him…..

  93. When we argued about the liberalisation of the ICT sector including the International gateway we were swamped with insults from the pseudonationalists. Rwanda, Malawi, Kenya and a host of other African countries have a relatively developed ICT sector than Zambia because they have loosened ownership and control. The end result is that 99.9% of bloggers on this site are doing so from abroad. There is no resident Zambia input here.

  94. It is not a crime to be abroad. You too can be abroad. We are all Zambians and have a right to say what we feel about our motherland. After all we are contributing to the development of our nation.
Magande has always been arrogant. He has dictatorial tendancies. Let democracy rule. Zambians will decide in November.

  95. #150…. I for one am a resident and a citizen of Zambia…. definitely in the minority who can afford to have internet at home,.. but of the 200,000 Zambians (source..Comms Authority) with internet in their homes…. most people are busy with the weekend.. they have lives, people to see, projects to supervise… and yes… politics to discuss at social gathering with people u can actually see…. unlike those of u abroad and aching for home.. (resulting in spending limitless time on LT…)…. DUH…

  96. Please update me on how Maureen is keeping up with her step children. When is she moving out of state house. HH for presidency, at least he is still young and well modernised.

  97. #154 Ulikapuba.
    1. The PC you are using was bought for you by your brother in the States.

    2. You have internet at home so everything is ok pa Zed. Out of is it 11-12million people why should only 200 000 have internet? Ask yourself this question you “tool”.

    3. Chances are you have got akacito ako mwibako and yeah things are right.
    4. What you have got is dial up which I think has been done away with in most developed countries. Yet you go to brag about it ngamulenwa-“tool”!

Grow up you little sado, even the British and Americans go to live in other countries. Ebalya abasungu mupepepa when you see them in town.

  98. EHEE! NOW YOU CAN SEE THAT THE BEMBA PROVERBS ARE GOOD EVEN WHEN IT COMES TO POLITICS” ATI ABAPUNSHI TABATEMWANA..IF YOU CLAIM TO BE BEMBA! EXPLAIN.

  99. Hope LT won’t stick an Aussie flag up my assy blog coz i’m right in Zed. Look at it, most bloggers are in diaspora and most are well informed though a bib bitter at the way they see Zed developing minus their input. Viva Lt!!!!!!!

  100. Stop fighting mwelupwa, let’s get back to the issue at hand, MAGANDE. Apparently Magande struggled to win a small constuency like CHILANGA

  101. Iam shocked that people who are talking are not registerd voters.Mr Magande should understand how his party is behaving. He can not be accepted because he is too smart and discplined. I wonder how he is going to continue as finance minster in RB government if RB wins. The best for him is to resign his Cabinet position and remain as MP only so that people can prove that you were the manager who was driving the economy. May be just join back UPND and assist HH with your vision you can make good government.

  102. Bo Liyungu (#162), the upswing in the Zambian economy is due to increased demand in copper and related metals on the world market, not as you wrongly allege to Magande’s competence as as a housekeeper. In other words the validity of your control suggestion is flawed.

  103. LT, this flag thing doesn’t work properly. Fourlo eggzampo me, I sell tomatoes in London, but the wrapping paper you give me is for India. Takwaaba mudala !!

  104. Zed Lumpen
Ba Post Mwawa! You diggeth your pit you should fall in it. You insulted a poor innocent man rb, u shud pay for it. “You can fool some pipo sometimes but you cant fool all the pipo all the time”

  105. zambians, all we need is Gods intervention.can lupiya really rule the country.its time to analyse and go for a right candidate with excellent leadership quality and gona take zambia to greater hights.

  106. # 162 you right about MMD”s rejection of Magande but suggesting that he resigns in order to prove that he is a “pillar” is not right. We will completely sink if we leave our economy in the hands of incompetent people. Let him be there until we have things corrected. He is a ‘good nut amoung the rotten ones’.
    VOTE FOR HH PLEASE.

ZAMBIANS open your eyes for once

  107. THANX 4 LETING ME,I WAS JUST TRYING.
ZED IS INDEED A BLESSED COUNTY,I ONLY HOPE RB AND GROUP WILL
DRIVE THIS NATION WELLO.BUT NEXT TIME THINK OF MUTATI 4 PLOT 1.

  108. No. 179 – are you sure you want Zambia left as LPM left it? Judging by the colour of your flag you must be in exile – if Levy did such a terrific job – why are you exiled from your home? Is it not a fact that Levy failed with his MMD government to up lift the grass roots? Pips – lets not turn people into saints just because they are dead – call a spade a spade. We need a leader that will look after the 85% existing below the poverty line – not a mere puppet or a candidate who will maintain the family tree. If you are one of them, start parking cause your time is up.

  109. Want another by-election before 2011-Sata is your man,

Want UNIP back in govt or you want to punish the british for colonising us– RB is your Man.

Want youth empowerement, quality education, poverty reduction and hyper economic development— HH is your Man.

    VIVA ZAMBIA!!

  110. Ladies and Gents – just how old is RB? Am sick and tired of a generation of recycled and repeated politicians – we need a fresh chap who will usher in a new leadership era, when do we get our turn? At 70?? RB had his chance with KK and the same goes for Sata who served under previous government – lets try some new blood – vote HH out of principle – its his time – its our time…

  111. Magenda shame on you….just accept and move on. Stop acting childish. #180 if he wins yaa he will go to plot 1 otherwise someone else will be there

  112. I guess you could still say you are in Zambia even when the flag next to your name shows a different country. People should not panic about this flag thing as it does not mean anything. Just a trace of what proxy server you are using. Just proved I can be in any country I want to be, Freedom is power!

  113. Zambia’s economic upturn is largely attributed to the growth of the construction industry on a global scale – more so attributed to China. Bane, it had nothing to do with MMD and their myopic policies. Magande the chap rigged his own election in Chilanga – the man is tainted, he like the rest of his brethren are all just the same. Preferred successor my foot – who cares? LPM, Magande, Mmembe and Mathani – all in one boat – bloody the same. Lets vote wisely

  114. Matani and the oil deals. dude you better start parking your sh*t. As FTJ deported you – so will whomever takes over as Presdo – with your dirty money bribing Zambian politicians. Malawi said no and closed you down – now you are in Zambia thinking you can still pay your way through. Shame on you. Dont mix business with politics… and as for you Mmembe??? I shudder to imagine what will happen to you if RB or Sata wins – just throw yourself behind HH. Son of Zambia, its not too late to repent. Fred you were a beacon of integrity and hope for Zambia and then greed in its worst form happened to you…

  115. Rupia is the worst leader we will have ever for this country. Anyway, lets try the young HH. For advise to HH, if they they dont vote for you now, give up youngman, go to your business, Zambians are not ready to change for the better. You are already better off.

Mind you RB will behave like KK. He will close your businesses if you lose and continue again to oppose him. These chaps are bad news. They dont see Zambia but their stomachs. Maybe we shall need another Capt. Solo and this time a success. We are tired.

  116. The cabinet which was to be:
    1)Republican president:Mr Ngandu Magande
    2) Vice president:Mrs Maureen K.M.Mwanawasa
    3)Finance and National planning:Mr Shakafuswa.
The list goes on with appearance of the Chibombamilimos and Mulubwas but the main goal for the cabinet that never was,was to let the first widow to settle down and go for it come 2011.

  117. HAVING MMD IN OPPOSITION WILL BRING OUT THE BEST IN THEM, IN TERMS OF DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS IF VOTED BACK SHOULD THE OPPOSITION WIN THIS ONE. IT WOULD ALSO WORK TO THE ADVANTAGE OF WHOEVER WINS FROM THE OPPOSITION. THAT IS USE THEIR POLICIES TO CONTINUE DEVELOPING ZED. SO FAR MMD SEEMS TO THINK ITS MUYA YAYA FOR THEM.

  118. Zambians WAKE UP IMWE.we need an economic manager not a politicain for a President!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ba Levy did the best he could SO NOW we need the economy to grow not to go into pipos stomachs.OKEY?

  119. SHAME ZED WE WERE NOT READY 4 THIS SOON,ANYWAY THIS WHY THEY SAY A
SOLDIER HAS TO BE ALWAYS PREPARED.BUT I ONLY PRAY THAT PIPO OF ZED WILL VOTE 4 A WISE LEADER LIKE LPM WAS,THOUGH I DID NOT LIKE AT FIRST
COZ BUT I COME TO 4GIVE HIM KUMA LAST OVER MY UNCLE CASE AND ALSO HE GAVE MY COUSIN A JOB HE WAS SO HONEST I WILL LIVE TO REMEMBER HIM.

  120. Ba SUEZ BABE – I think you are losing the plot my sister. Which woman?? Maureen?? Mune, this is about dethroning the Movement for Murdering Devils (MMD) to which Maureen is party. The only other notable female is Edith Nawakwi who has single handedly destroyed her career because of her marital choices – For now, lets stick to HH – I do not originate from the southern part of Zambia but I am a Zambian who believes the young man can and will do the job – if we let him…

  121. Oh?? No 204?? So LPM was your family benefactor?? No wonder Zambia has gone to the dogs. You cannot even spell. Wonder how your cousin is performing in govt. Shame on you for being so shallow…

  122. Hey hi watsup i see people rallying behind RP but the question is r u sure u want that baby of a wife 2 be our first lady no ways the man is not even sure which party he belongs to UNIP/MMD. Have u noticed that no candidate 4 UNIP is even standing sso the olld folks in UNIP willobviosly vote RP in. this isnt fair lets look at fresh party now enof of MMD/UNIP Katusheniko naimwe!!!!!!! chaba shani bane

  123. Magande despite his claims should drop his “prefered presidential candidate because the best last word from Mwanawasa contained in last will recorded and read to the intire nation does not mention Magande as “prefered son” to inherite state house..He lost to RB, he must accept defeat and move on…

  124. rb is a product of 30 years of unip when 100% of the people became destitutes.now at least 30% are middle class and 10% bring are super rich.you cant teach an old dog new tricks magande is better qualified visionary it is the economy stupid.

  125. Magande despite his claims should drop his “prefered presidential candidate because the best last word from Mwanawasa contained in last will recorded and read to the intire nation does not mention Magande as “prefered son” to inherite state house..He lost to RB, he must accept defeat and move on…

  126. 206. sense and i jes gave you a thumbs up. We really need to rise
    up, above tribe,ethinicity,and regionalism.
I and my Family will vote on merit.

  127. These people who think that can the MMD can deliver!. Zambians lets wakeup and put somebody who will deliver for the betterment of Zambians.

  128. We are tired of these mmd. They are full of empty promises, these people have failed from the time they came into power, its time we voted them out and put in Mr Delivery.

  129. I think Rupiah’s fight for plot 1 will not be a walk thru the park. I can almost certainly say he is destined for a super loss. ta

  130. # 74. It’s your tribe that is SELFISH. Tongas have never been selfish, if you know them well. Be level-headed and you will know the truth and it will set you free.

  131. Breaking News! – OFFICIAL 2012 CABINET.

    * PRESIDENT – INONGE MBIKUSITA LEAWANIKA

    *VICE PRESIDENT – MARGARETE MWANAKATWE

    *DEFENCE – CHITUWO
    *HOME AFFAIRS – ******
    *FOREIGN AFFAIRS – ******
    *FINANCE – PROF. OLIVER SAASA

  132. Please just campaign on your own without using the name of LPM.LPM was a democrat and so be it.All of us are democrants and expect you to be so, hence lets go to the polls and find out

  133. That much for show of solidarity!Let us not assume that the choice of leader is limited to MMD we have the opposition and this where as Zambians we should think carefully about our next pick of president.I’m wary of people invoking Mwanawasa’s ghost as the highest bar for leadership.I hope we can transcend all that was good about him and aim even higher.LPM had his glaring weakneses. The ensuing clashes over the The Post and Zambian Airways are a case in point.Magande’s protection of them and Maureen’s premature endorsement of Magande beg the question:did the first have vested interests? And by the way the flag here doesn’t mean am an unpatriotic migrant.Just a stint.Be home in time to vote!

  134. ba monko/momas you have talked enough, give us data guys ya bola young boys are playing, donnot tell us there no radio commentaries.plz give new data, viva jr bullets!!

  135. Aktually magande is in maureen’s will. What makes think a will is static? There are updates alwaz in the will. So pliz spare us bo magande.

  136. Zambians generally have regard for the truth. Toka says Tony Blair did not go to Oxford. That is fallse. Tony Blair went to Oxford. Check your facts. Whether you like it or not the standard of education in Zambia is low. The everage level of education of the Mwanawasa ministers was Form II. This makes it the least educated cabinet in the world. It is a fact that there are very few Zambians intellectuals. What country would tought Mwaanga as an accomplished diplomat but Zambia. What international assignemnet has ever been given ? Mwaanda never even went to high school. Yet thse are the gurus of Zambian politics. Look at Sata in Zambia he is a candidate for president !!!

  137. These comments by Magande has just cost him his job.. come Jan 09. The first cabinet ‘reshuffle by RB will start with;

Ministry of Finance… Mutati will take over from ‘hounarable’ Magande….

Mr Magande..ever heard of the word ‘Consesus. Get behind RB otherwise the Post won’t protect you.

  138. Things to think About:

    1. Isn’t there a cable person in MMD for them to get one from UNIP?
    2. Is RB the right person?
    3. Is RB completely out of UNIP?
    4. Does RB know people in the MMD?
    5. Are you sure RB has the real MMD vision?
    6. Is RB going to abandon his UNIP friends when they approach him for jobs?

  139. # 150 for yo information a lot of zambians have internet at hom if not from an interrnet provider from their mobile phones they can access internet. as well put by #154 we talk about the politics with friends ova a beer at ourfavourite watering holes. elyo ifi kuchili national mourning takuli nennyimbo nga mulenwa so we chat and show off our voters cards. we dont blog much coz we know whats on the ground unlike you guys who largely depend on the net for data. novundu nway. its interesting to hear from you guys abroad.

  140. #10 am supprised that in the 21st century the all world have to struggle for democracy. when in actual fact, is a birth right. Shameless Magande, Nchito brothers and their zambian airline(private owned)how come magande is bailing this company out of their indebtiness, using GRZ money? Bushe Zed twalishama nagu nishi mwe Lesa? I, think ba chiluba was even better, atleast we bought houses.Almighty Lord guide us twafwa kuba, sambilila. and then ba Mmembe tell the nation(post news paper) what you are up to. Criticising without giving solutions has no God’s blessings. Muli bakalamba teti nande fingi. eponpelele mwemfumu.

  141. # 213,who tells you tht youths & civil servants are for Sata?Dont comfort yourself by thinking Sata is stil popular.Infact most youths & civil servants (generally citizens) are for vibrant & visionary HH.Dnt mislead pipo.Sata’s health & age is a liability to PF.

  142. Democracy includes Magande saying he is the best if he wants to say so. We may disagree that too is democracy. Those saying that the economy is due to copper etc. They forget that in the seventies copper prices were high and yet the ecomy collapsed. For sure that is part of the story. Central Africa Republic has oil and yet it is a mess. Kenya has no minerals yet it is an economic success. Management and skill are critical. That is what Magande brought to the Ministry of Finance. But then it takes education from a proper university not from a community college to understand this.

  143. #120 pls keep ur nonsense to yourself. We are not looking for lecturers in University. Professors are not the most practical people. Education is not equal to wisdom and leadership, otherwise the first cabinet under Chiluba could have been the best since independence but that wasnt the case. You are so educated as u potray and yet you cant understand a simple fact that we cant all get educated through Havard and the other universities you mentioned. I got my degree at UNZA and have not regreted. Put things in pespective you are misrepresenting Havard.

  144. #233. Mr Educated before you go on showing you ingnorance Read VJ Mwaanga’s first book. He was the youngest diplomat under Kuaunda to the to the US. He has experience. He is just a muselele kwakaba .

  145. MMD NEC voted for RB to keep there jobs. They knew Magande will come with his own cabinet. Most of them would have fallen out of favour. Lets face facts Magande would have been a difficult candidate to beat. You have just given an advantage to the opposition. It will be a shame to have a teenager first lady when your president is over 50years old. Its about time Pf took over.

  146. THE HOUR HAS GONE,for MMD what do you THINK they will achieve with MONEY BANDA. They have removed themselves in office.KUYA BIBILI MMD,BA ITAYA

  147. #233. Vernon Johnson Mwaanga, a Zambian diplomat and businessman, was born in 1939. He was educated at Hodgson College in Lusaka, Stanford University in USA and Oxford University in United Kingdom. He served as Deputy High Commissioner to U.K. 1964-65; Ambassador to U.S.S.R 1965-68; Permanent Representative to UN 1968-72; Editor-in-Chief of Times of Zambia 1972-73; Minister of Foreign Affairs 1973-75.

He was detained in 1985 on charges of drug trafficking. He ran several businesses until 1991 when he returned to government as Minister of Foreign Affairs in 1991. Although he was removed from Cabinet, he still hold key positions in the ruling and is part of the inner circle of President Ch

  148. RB is a good “seat warmer” …..The question is who is he warming the seat for….one gets suspicious with all these dubious characters (read VJ and co) surrounding him.

  149. Magande would have made a better candidate than RB. What Zambia needs is a fresh person to run the country’s affairs. Why are we cintinuously looking back to the recycle bin for leaders. Im putting my money on HH this time around.

  150. too bad MMD settled for old granny to be presido…am sure they are almost agemates with sata.!!too bad sata takalabeko state house !

  151. In my opinion LPM (may his soul rest in peace) went to his grave with his prefered choice and key word is prefered choice, he was not gonna impose whoever, Zambia is democratic and people have chosen the rest remains to be seen.

  152. Excuse RB for now. The NEC has spoken loud and clear. Indeed, what is forthcoming is a bye-election. Those who are bracing to be Presidents come 2011, let them get prepared adequately with the Manifestos etc… and life will go on with or without a party of our choice. It won’t be the end of the world.

  153. It seems like there’s no right person to take over from LPM. In MMD, the NEC has picked on RB democratically and could be the person who is better than the rest # 97 has clearly stated.
Magande could also be corrupt, what with the deals struck with Fred Mmembe (The Post). “He is already asking government to fly Zambian Airways, Post Newspaper buys shares in the Airline and endorses Magande for President, what a coincidence?” If you wish to know the owners of Zambian Airways are: JCN Holdings or more clearly the Nchito brothers (Mutembo & Nchima), the Post Newspaper and Seaboard.
Like # 92 has hinted and I agree we should start probing such.

  154. Can Magande explain his dealings with Niyombo a company he is selling NCZ to. He has paid them billions for fertilizer, when a viable company like the one in Kafue can do it. How much are you getting from this.

Anti Corruption Commission, please pounce on this thief.

  155. we dont vote to honour anyone, we vote to reflect our choice of candidate to represent us, what kind of crap is this Magande is saying?

  156. #120, check youself, this is a blog and we are not here to flaunt our qualifications by writting essays, this is a blog no one is doing a thesis here, your own analysis of this blog makes your intellect questionable mudala.

And wahts with the warped chain of thought about a tonga cant rule becuase of this and that…you always finda excuses when you cant progress as a people..becuase am balck…beacuse and tonga…because am bemba…thats a state of mind you have to let go off, its clear these guys MMD were not looking for the best candidate but for one who would save their jobs…

  157. Its funny that MMD has opted to usher in UNIP back into power when they dislodged it in 1991….tell you what!!! UNIP has reincarnated through Rupiah Banda, the Man thinks and does things like UNIP, ask those who work with him at his Office. The man still chants the UNIOP slogans when addressing a mere meeting. Zambians, by not giving Magande or Kopulande chance to deal with the ills of this country, we have lost it. Other than being an armchair critic, I want to say that, I personalyy listenned to Magande and Kopulande share their vision for the country at the POST oragnized duiscussion forum, which Rupiah deliberately opted not to attend. Charles Nges was the worst of clowns!!!

  158. Thandiwe Banda Community Initiative in the making……..from second lady to first lady……….You are lucky oooooooooooh. How many pipo want to be in your shoes now……….

  159. magande has displayed his anger and bitterness openly for not being chosen by MMD Nec dispite being the annointed one by the late president. that just disqualifies him from the highest office. Infact if RB wins the by election he should replace magande as FM because I dont see how RB will function with ANACHY in the office of the finance Minister. How dyu work with a FM who thinks he is a better and more deserving person than u the boss? Let RB send magande in some foreign service at AN ISOLATED island in the middle of nowhere at some sea..

  160. RB will retain all these ministaers watch this space. Simple, he will pay them the increase coz he owes them big time. He came from nowhere (UNIP) to be MMD presido. So, he has to pay back.Back to Magande, he saw it coming he could have backed out and asked to be Veep, so as to contest 2011, along side Prof. Chirwa and Mutati. Now that he has lost, it will be difficult for him to convince anyone in future. In a ideal world RB should continue over LPM without any drastic changes. Now, he should groom someone to takeover, then he will earn alot of respect esp. in Africa, where this is still a taboo.

  161. 274n ,ndiwe nyandule…you want your relatives who are plunderers to come back and rape our resources?viva and continuity with Magande and Minister of finance.mind you,he’s MP for Chilanga unlike RB who was beaten by Penza and never been MP till 2006 and nominated one for that matter…he doesn’t represent our views just like stupid Mike Mulongoti!

  162. Mr. Magande sir, stop crying and go back to work. If you can’t work anymore ask for retirement and go and start farming if you you are not lazy. But if you are lazy, I’d ask you to stick around finance for now.

  163. My mind boggles. How can public funds be used to bail out a private company-zambian airways- owned by friends of the finance minister. Is it not any wonder that the post is supporting magande for presidence since they are share holders in the sinking titanic. Is this not corruption.
The post newspaper has lost its soul in the expedience of salvaging their business interests that are in zambian airways.
Magande should be investigated for corrupt practices in the use of public funds to rescue a private company

  164. RB has done a pretty good job since LPM fell ill. Even the outside world has praised the Givt as well as opposition leaders in how they have handled this situation. We should take a step back and be grateful that no coup or violence broke out. We should be proud of how we have conducted ourselves and show the west that democracy can prevail in Africa.

RB is a seasoned politician for the person that asked who is Lupiya, Rupiah actually. If you had paid attention, you would know what he has done for Zambia and you can compare his service to Zambia with that of our Honourbale Finance Minister.

  165. I really do pray that if by any chance MMD wins the Presidency, Magande should resign his post so that all the critics can see who is who.

  166. Sata is also married to a baby. His wife is as old as his first born child. Sata is 20 years older than his current wife. Both RB and Sata are married to younger wives.Age is just a number.

  167. Magande remains the best candidate to take over from LPM. RB represents the politics of aciency, he has been in politics of the 60s,70s 80s 90s and therefore this old acient villager doesnt represent the politics of the future. RB you are about to hand over power to PF. I can assure it will be embarassing because you have been lied to that you will take over but you will have a rude shock of your life. RB cant certainly fit in LPM’s shoes!!!! Magande is the ONE

  168. In a democractic country do we annoint people to take over after we get killed by a stroke? No… Mr. Magande please swallow your pride as there is nothing like being a preferred candidate in a democracy. Mind you Zambia is bigger than Tonga land where the Mazokas annoint successors like HH. Please do not be misled by the Post that you are the annointed one among all the 10million plus Zambians. Maybe try UPND perhaps Hakainde will annoint you after he suffers an heart attack.

  169. Congratulations MMD NEC for bringing Kaunda back into office by voting for Rupiah as your presidential candidate.
Rupiah is a kaunda boy through and through and it is shocking he did not die in a UNIP pyjama.I am sure he is still wearing UNIP boxers!!! Rupiah is Betty’s relative and will do anything for that family. His late wife hosted Cheswa Kaunda’s kitchen party. He always visits Mama Betty and he will move out of that office before MMD know that he has also gone to wake up Kaunda in the middle of the night to pass on the presidential baton that is pased on at night.

  170. Gen Miyanda, where are you sir? The country needs you now otherwise the UNIP chaps are back. This country needs a survivor like you. peace

  171. I want to take this rare previlege to advice the opposition parties in Zambia to unite and fill in one candidate in the forthcoming presindetial by-election.PF and UPND should swollow their pride and fight this battle for us Zambian.we are there to give them our votes.go go SATA and HH

  172. You really make it seem really easy along with your presentation but I find this matter to be really something that I believe I might never understand. It seems too complex and very broad for me. I’m taking a look ahead in your next post, I will attempt to get the dangle of it!
