  1. Maybe am wrong on this but isn’t it not taboo for women to wear make-up at Zambian funerals? May his soul rest in peace until that day of judgement

    • #1 I agree, this is disgusting!!! Regina dressed like she was going for a fashion show. Again maybe I have been away too long and the Zambia I knew passed away and this is the Zambia you have where people go to court in clothes they should wear at funerals and go to funerals in clothes they should wear when they go to court. Those in Zambia please update us on the current trend. Otherwise am disgusted with Regina. Whoever let her out of Jail should be regretting now

    • My dear. I am a woman and you have misused the word taboo here. Make-up to any woman is part of everyday grooming,

Taboo is Zambian men who are raping and defiling children in Zambia. Taboo is government leaders stealing from the people of zambia. Taboo is the unavoidable poverty and closing of copper mines in Zambia. Make up on a woman at any given time is never taboo.

    • So its ok for a man to clad a suit and not a woman to dress up? Its not like she wore a RED outfit. Makeup is normal for most women any day just like as facial shaving for men. The world has changed people and its not every one who dresses like bamukamufwila or avoiding the shower for days until burial-mwali belela ukumona banamayo mufi tenge notu ntambala twa nsala! Those days are gone-

    • Mikonfwa, Dini, Wendy..indeed maybe some of us are dull and out of touch. But you the intelligent please look at the pictures closely. We have at least 3 prominent women in these picctures. Look at Edith Nawakwi, Look at Miyanda’s wife and Look at Maureen Mwanawasa and make that call for yourself. These women are decently dressed. Look at Picture number 6, you wouldn’t even think Chiluba and his wife are at a funeral. There are tons of places to show case your wife and her dressing and makeup, not the funeral place please. Seriously if being decent, sensitive the old school Zambia style culture is dull, then I am sorry to say I shall stay dull. All the best to you smart people

    • Papa J,
Dont let people who do not understand what they are talking about pull you down. Your observation is spot on. It is not just inappropriate to behave the way Regina and her hubby is portraying in here.It is madness at its peak levels..Both of them are wrong. The hubby has lost his mind too. He would have corrected his wife in time. She just wants to show off at a wrong crowd. ubupuba. period.

    • Ba Mikomfwa,with due respect,
There are so many Born and bred Zambian women on the blog and you have misdirected your political grievance in the wrong forum. We are mourning Gen. Chritson Tembo and here we are dresing like we are at a wedding/kitchen party. Even women at a political rally do not dress the way this woman has done, but why dress in such clad a funeral in all places/gatherings?
If make up is everyday normal grooming at any given time, why didnt Regina wear similar grab at her sentencing? She had no make up at all either. Kanofye ku chililo?Benifye wino. No offence meant either.

    • Wendy with due respect am also a woman who believes in looking good at funerals. Regina should have tonned down on the coulur of lipstick and chosen black and or white outfit and push those tumahairs inside her duku like Maureen who is equally wering makeup but medestly.

    • Why ddnt you guys talk about Chiluba who is also very smart. Why descriminate against women? By the way I do not agree with you guys that people shouldn’t be smart at a funeral. Why shouldn’t they be smart? So, are you gonna say, do not wash and dress up dead bodies because they are dead, and they will be burried in earth and decay, anyway?

    • I knw someone else would notice Regina mwanza’s bold appearance . Theres zambian funeral etiquette which I have always noticed but the way she is dressed she looks like she came from some kitchen party. Even you could argue that chiluba also messed up with a bright coloured red tie because funeral etiquette is always dark coloured ties for instance Miyanda, sata and kavindele. i don’t think those two were mourning they were just making an appearance and probably still hold the grudge from Christon Tembo protesting chiluba’s third term

    • As a convitcted criminal surely Mrs Chiluba should not want to bring any attention to herself. Where did she get the money to buy such an inappropriate outfit. The picture of them squeezed on the chairs katwishi mwe – you dont know what to think -where is the dignity?

    • its not a taboo it just has to be moderate. she is the first thing that you see she draws so much attention because of the way she is dressed, probably tring to show off that is free on bail. anione anione.very sad

    • #1.3 Wrong platform then .Clearly showing their level of indecency the two wife and hubby never cease to amaze me ……

    • Ba Wiseman reborn,
Iam with you on this one. No ways. This is un acceptable in Zambian society. This couple is a total disgrace and showing it all to the public.

      Supergal,
Awe, Regina nomba elyo chatwala kububi. Kwashala ukupena. She should look for another forum to show off not kuchililo.Very embarrassing indeed.

    • Awe, Taboo it is indeed to disrespect the dead and dress up like you are going to a kitchen party, or maybe a gay kitchen party(if any).Regina’s mindset is so disorganised hence she behaves inappropriate and not fit for any society and belongs to jail. Iam disappointed that bloggers can support such misbehaviour just because we are living in far flung civilised societies. There are places for showdowns, but not funerals. Make up for who? She is showing everyone how much dibwi she is(fontini).Even sqeezing herself in between hubby and Maureen (mkamfilwa) to show that its me and no one else. atase.
      Ba Gen. ChristonTembo, M.Y.S.R.I.E.P.

    • It is indeed a taboo in Zambian society for a married woman worth their salt to dress inappropriate in plublic places let alone funerals. To dress like Regina is not appropriate for a funeral and only shows the disrespect/insult to the departed/deceased. Squeezing herself between hubby and Maureen tells a lot of stories too.. she was either left out on the invitation list since she had a brief stint in jail, hence no space for her, or to show that its me and me alone to sit next to my hubby not Maureen mkafilwa.
Make up ku chililo is so UnZambian. The bloggers who support this theory, you are lost. LIving overseas does not mean you forsake your roots. This is very embarrassing.

    • Thank you , nothing more nor less . A very concise summary of it all . On a light note a nobly synthesized approach don’t you miss Maestro HH`s analysis on this particular thread…. Am putting my head on the chop board ……

    • You right boss, its not right, it means you not mourning…..THEN AGAIN, WASNT SHE JAILED just about a week or so ago? ( Regina) when did she ge out??/?

    • Everything in moderation is the key at a funeral, whether its make up, type of clothes or color of one’s tie. Funerals are no place to act like a peacock, decked out in all your finery!! No gender bias either.

    • My comment is mainly to do with the hypocrits in attendance,RIP general. The clowns we have as leaders only realise now that he was a good man ka?looking at these pictures, our so called leaders-all extremely old,i see only greed in all their eyes’-even Maureen, how are we going to change this?I am rather tired of these same faces re-appearing,rapping the nations resources, and making appearances to boost morale at funerals, these all looks like publicity stunts to me hence the flashy clothing trend or no trend

  2. I am vely vely heppy to be out of jeleh, so please don’t start admiring my make-up. Please just concentrate on that line-up of ex-VPs, none of whom are presidential material like my husband !

  3. Rest in peace General. I was too young to be interested in politics when you were still powerful but hope your family well.

Aren’t there seating plans for these events though?!
To sarcastic Chiluba, fresh-out-of-jail/ attention seeking Regina next to the ever classy Maureen can only create awkwardness

  4. He is sown into the ground and only awaits judgement,it is appointed unto man to die once, thereafter judgement.Stop worrying about the dead, worry for your own soul.

    • Amen to that and greetings to you Ghost Dog. I must say that your mature and wise way of analysing issues of late has really positively changed your image. Continue to abide in righteousness. To the real, all things are real.

    • Greetings to you my brother,I have learnt more from you in case you didnt know that, honestly am still learning, much love.

  5. Thanx LT for the pics, they tell different stories outstanding among them is death as a unifier, the leveler of all times where non escapes . Anyhow, in these pics one can not avoid to comment on the behavior of the jail bird and hubby snatcher thank God she never had a chance of being called first lady ……

    • And thank God indeed that Regina was never First lady. Nga abantu tabanwine amenshi.
Amano yali ipipa kwati abalume. Sad state of a couple made in hell.

    • Bravo cutey/ wifey! there are a very amusing couple , but this was wrong timing Chiluba did good and bad but things in his reign as state President but why criticize him thus far ? because he was in position of influence when he should have made a lot more difference to better the lives of voiceless Zambians good point cutey/ wifey

    • After thought . what is your field of study?? Why ask ? I strongly believe some how some day Zambia will have a young leader woman or man . we are seeing our elders demising like Gen Tembo we have the onus to make a difference…

  6. Indiscipline Regina. How do you squeeze yourself like that with that makeover as if are attending Kitchen Party. Go to jail.

  7. 1.LT as usual we appreciate pictures. Thank you.

    2. Why are y’all mad at women putting on make-up, or former president Chiluba’s attire; I dont get it, a funeral is a ceremony, if you are not a pall bearer you can dress according to what makes you comfortable in that atmosphere. Sata is not supposed to provoke MMD at a somber gathering like this..for today he is the worse of the worst,, a scoundre!!

    • # 11. You have said very my friend . Flamboyancy at a funeral is associated with some one having a manic like of mind , giving him a sense of jubilation , where as dull colors are associted with a depressive mood / affect. I do not suppose that there was jubilation at the funnel serve for the clowns like the Chiluba. As for president sata no comment for now.

  8. Bunch of crooks!! jst see how well they seem to get along and when its election time -they are at each others throats with unconstructive agendas.

    • Correct observation !!!! been puzzled actually whether its her or some one else , perhaps camera man err. Could it be because she is actually in funeral mood for her to truly appear clapped ? remember both generals were at Mukobeko maximum prison ,memories yes true memories not faces by the chilubas the real clowns .

  9. Goodbye Sifapi and God be with you till we meet again. I wish I was nearby to moan you my friend. Condolences to the Tembo family.

  10. Regina was just trying to mark her territory.Even at funerals, what a jealousy woman.Find somewhere else to sit just for an hour with your friends sure!!! Nikumalilo uko sibaza kupoka!!!!!!!

    • Only wife grabbers/snatchers are known to mark their territories. It appears siiting arrangements were made and thats why Kafupi is sitting next to Maureen as former fimo fimo’s.
Now Regina ati awe kuti washishita apa, Maureen kuti akupoka. Nakuchililo Shuwa? It just shows how hard hearted this devlish woman is. Aya sana.

    • Only wife grabbers/snatchers are known to mark their territories. It appears siiting arrangements were made and thats why Kafupi is sitting next to Maureen as former fimo fimo’s.
      Regina was indeed jelous..

    • very accurate observation !!!! the question is who made the sitting arrangements . I personally do not believe in coincidence e.g why respond to cutey not another feminine yet not met .,.telepathy ? not coincidence the sitting arrangement were humanly made …. reaction

  11. It is a taboo to disrespect the dead in such a way and use it as a platform to air someone’s pomposity..Regina is very pompous she believes this will take her somewhere….. in her dreams. She has already forgotten that she is a jailbird.

May the Soul of Gen. Christon Tembo Rest In Eternal Peace.

  12. Gallant son of the soil, old chap, may your soul rest in eternal peace. You always lived an honest life and you were always true to your instincts. From the time you joined the MMD soon after Kaunda “pardoned” you, the time you left the lofty republican VP post in disgust at FTJ’s third term toilet acrobatics and finally your relinguishing the FFD presidence due to endless rangling by Nawakwi and her lot, you have always been guided by principles and honourable virtues in life. May your soul rest in eternal peace Mwana wa kwitu ku ZAMBIA.

  13. What the hell is wrong with ci coup plotter Miyanda? His temper seems to be near explosion all the time, why? Atase, he should respect himself especially when he is a one star general and is attending a Lt. General’s funeral. As you were silly monkey chap.

  14. Rest In Peace General Tembo. May The Almighty God Strengthen and Comfort the Widow and the Children during this sad moment.

  15. We have brought nothing in this world, neither will will take anthing. The death of Tembo should reminder this corrupt leaders of that fact.

  16. MHSRIP, Regina tht was off the mark mwee. Mrs Kunda and Thandie wore same materials ok but nangu nikuchililo balisashila ba Thandie, had there been bees ngashilabasuma, combination from head to toe different colours.

I was hopin to see Sylvia Masebo.Bena slit fye awe sure

  17. I really laugh when u have all time to tok about ba Regina, wa do you expect from a husband snatcher, this woman has no morals at all. She is a kinda who can take off her pants for anyone with Dollar. Shame! her occupation starts and ends there. so let her put makeup nangu niku chililo who knows Rb can look at her

  18. GENERAL HAD ONE UNFORGETTABLE AND ENDURING CONTRIBUTION TO ZAMBIA’S FUTURE. HE SACRIFICED HIS POSITION AS VICE-PRESIDENT OF ZAMBIA IN ORDER TO FIGHT THE THIRD TERM ATTEMPT BY CHILUBA. AS A RESULT THE COUNTRY HAS INSTITUTIONALISED THE TWO TERM LIMIT FOR PRESIDENT OF ZAMBIA. NEEDLESS TO SAY SATA WAS A DISGRACE IN THAT FIGHT. HE CAMPAINED FOR THE THIRD TERM AND HIRED THUGS WHO BEAT UP DESAI. IN ANY INFORMED COUNTRY NO ONE WOULD EVEN TAKE HIM SERIOUSLY AS A PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE

  19. Death reminds us all of our mortal being. Lo and behold – we are all destined to a similar fate. No form of insurance, dressing or make-up can change the course. REST IN PEACE, GEN. TEMBO.

  20. MHSRIEP.
Regina (on squeeze squeeze), seems to be saying, “Kwena Abalume bani aba, naliba temwa sana! Ka money!

  21. Chiluba and his wife are a circus. Tembo once said this about Chiluba “All the time on a daily basis ifili mu mutwe tapali kano ukwiba”. And the Katangese has the bollocks to show up with his jail bird stolen wife donning expensive gear from stolen funds. No wonder the CJ looked like he was about to puke from the stench next door.

  22. You are missing one point my fellow bloggers, what is chiluba telling justice Sakala, what was his intention to go and sit next to him, While people are mourning, him is busy crooking justice Sakala. this man is dirty in mind.

  23. Why do you people write msgs to a dead person as if somehow they can still read?I see such in newspapers just like you’re doing it here. There’re certain msgs addressed to the surviving family and thats understood but some are clearly addressed to the dead!WHY????????And it’s good some of you bloggers didn’t attend the funeral cuz the way you’ve been arguing over lipstick seems to me like you’re the same people who trouble widows at funerals accusing them of not weeping enough or not looking dirty enough.Muli ndoshi! Why do you want everyone to be in black?I think some of you are just witches cuz your areas of interest in a funeral are puzzling.Imilomo fye sha kwa Regina shaleta…

    • Well said son. Most of these chaps property grabbers who even take the deceased pets and pegs. How can you spend time urguing over make up instead of writing anything you knew about LT.Gen.Tembo.Thats why we will never progress.Back to basics now who was running the government at the time of the funeral since the whole governement attended the funeral.I bet they even got some allowances for attending the funeral because you can never trust these conmen…

    • Kadobi I guess some people write to the dead as a way of copying with their grief or a way of letting others know how they feel…I wouldn’t really know…but thats my line of thought. What we should remember is that everyone has different copying mechanisms…

  24. MYSRIP Ba general,
on a light note,Nine Chale, are these nice babies yours pal?shower me with ka secret, just started ka project of trying one, good day, hahahahahaha!
As fo ba regina, appropriate outfit at the wrong fora, all has been said already.
For my mbuyas teasing us,hope no insults were used in bemba, more so in chewa or tumbuka, hahahahahahaha! fellow easterners, invite bembas like nervers ,atleast he won’t abuse you when grieving, stay blessed colleagues.

  25. Am suprised by the ma rubbish of blogging from most of you. Why do we Zambians spend eternity on trivials. The big point is Is RB so dumb that he cannot award a state funeral to a former vice President and a Lt. General and former leader of a major political party?

If not who fits to be mourned more by Zambia?? Instead y’all bloggers are concerned with who wore what, clothes are just cloths, thats the more reason why the army is not wearing black; it wears bright, shiny ceremonial uniform. Why is it so? cause a funeral of a gallant warrior is a cerebration of his heroic life!! We salute you, General. And President Banda is the worse of the worst leader in the word, dumbster.

  26. No 30….You sound to me like a frustrated cow…why do u have so much anger be good then u will sleep better at nite.
