  1. Ba Thandi we know you are at Kumalilo, but you need a bit of tu powder, your skin looks dry mawe. I am not feeling the Tumukule, please take them out.mama TB.

  2. Shaka your comment is UnZambian, we Zambians believe in respecting the dead regardless of what they did when they were still alive. So apologise for what you have said. Castrol rest in peace. To other plunderers raise your children with God’s guidance.

  3. Pepani amai Vera. Koma Amai Banda, sembe mwavwalako chitambala kumutu uko. Like Ba Honey @ #4 has oserved, Tumukule twa nyanya!! Natu powder pathontho.

  4. #2 shaka you are not the right person to judge castro or send him to hell, Jesus died for sinners all the sinners.

  5. @4 & @6. Give the first Lady a break! If you are fashionistas and think of u r selves as people who are well groomed., Good for you! if TB is comfortable that way with her Mukule let her be. The blogsphere alows us to hide behind gravitators and nom de guerres but try and put your real picture even with your tu powder and see some observations which may come thru. In short be thoughtful!

  6. #6 Ba Moze , nalema kubauza aba ba Mrs TB, ati tumukule is not looking good, but you and i know that she is sturbon like a goal keeper.

  7. #10 Natty Dread, sorry my dear for expressing my self. I dndnt know it was a crime. Sorry from me and Ba Moze. We all have our opinions, but all the same sorry . Please tell MRs TB ati takamba ati soli.

  8. Some of you bloggers suprise me, for once, why cant you leave Thandiwe alone? Jelousy will one day kill you. put up your pictures so that i see how ugly you look.

  9. Sorry ba Vera mwe! there is no typical death, every death is painful…good move Thandi, but ngamwalifwalako akatambala kumutwu.

  10. Castro’s Legacy is unmatched, he moved from sippin’ Dom Perignon to Lusaka Beer. now thats gangsta, lay down homes!

  11. The pettiness of some of you is disgusting , as if you are even something desirable to look at. A man without testostorone that sits down to p i ss would be the only one worried about someone’s make up.

  12. Iwe Ci Shaka, i hope you’re a saint to judge castro. Jesus said in the book of John, to him that comes to me i will in no wise cast out. The guy might have repented but you and me have to work out our salvation with fear and trembling. judge NOT!

  13. @13 Ba Honey. its not an offence to air your views on TB. As earliar stated its always helpful to be thoughtful on such matters.I am sure u r well travelled and exposed to what different up bringing and exposure can do to a person. It takes time and a lot of confidence gaining to change.
Credit should be given to her in that she has not come on the scene pretending to be a know it all. She has come across as a person who knows her limits and circumstances. Take a chance and listen when ever she speaks. u might see some good in her. Thanks

  14. Zambians, I know we are a people of tradition, culture & heritage, so please avoid degratory comments out of respect to the bereaved family. MHSRIP.

  15. Musipasi Zimba – ‘Muzi’, Chilufya Sata and Castro Chiluba – ‘Cash’, rest in peace brothers we are all on the way and the wheels are spinning. Only God will judge us. Hang in there fellas till we meet again. May Your Souls Rest in Peace.

  16. Why some of you are being so defensive about TB is beyond me. Let people express their opinions. Unless it borders on defamation. As a lady myself, i also say TB needs to improve.

  17. #19 Ba Moze, this is the world we live in, no freedom of speech ka .papa, be carefull , pipo are watching and listening.

  18. You guys its hard to know what goes on in people`s marraiges. May be this is how RB appreciates TB. Obviously all those advisers have tried to work on her appearance.

Try and find her cousin. Only cousins would tell off someone without taking offence.

    tulilefwe ba castrol in peace

  19. My prayers are with Castro and his family during this difficult time. May God give them the peace and strength they need.
I can’t believe the type of comments people are making. Everyone has a Mother and no one would like to see people laughing or making cheap comments if their Mother was crying but don’t worry, you will get your payback because God sees all

  20. #29 Babie, hi mama nice to hear your point., Some of these pipo dont understand what a nice hair style or hair do does to a woman. And men also need to be nicely groomed. not kuoneka like voyofelako bana vinyau , nakana.

  21. Funeral song, Tinali nabo ba Castro , ( tinalinabo , *5 ) muma bawala, muma nite clubs , muma Zntemba, kuma filimu, kukma travelling, tinalinabo, tinalinabo. RIP.RIP. RIP*3 Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.
Mukaba poshe ba Paul Ngozi, naba Chris Chale, Naba Mwanawasa, Naba PK Chishala, Naba bonse. RIP RIP RIP*3

  22. #21# Chiipila achaje amake akuti nimwana. so dont think she could have been happy he is gone. A child will always be loved by the parents. Castro might have been an impossible chap in the eyes of others but he still had parental love. I am not here to judge, but let him rest in peace. I dont see anything wrong in the other lady paying a visit to castro’s mother without a duku, whats wrong with some bloggers kanshi? alimipeshafye amano thandiwe. Mukanaka tamwakamukwanishe. weather mukule, kinky, chifu changulube, mama chitemwa mwine.

  23. KA TB needs some bit of fashion uplifting to meet the desirable standard arising from the comments from the fellow bloggers. Castro was a very bad boy. That is true. Vera must be having a feeling of relief. FTJ is feeling indifferent because of the upcoming judgement. Chimbokaila ya ninkila.

  24. Ba Honey

You are a wicked woman. A funeral is not a beauty contest. For once leave TB alone and work om your low self esteem. Even in this sad moment, you cannot leave her alone. You always have to make it about her, Get over yourself.

This is about Vera and her son and not an advisory secession on beauty tips.

If you have nothing to say then don’t say anything at all. Take your block of ice and spread your hate somewhere else.

  25. Ba Honey #33, Hi mama. We as women have the right to comment on things that relate to us. For instance, those men saying bad things about castro, i dont get surprised coz they dont know what it feels to be a mother. A mother will love even a murderous child. As for TB, i still insist, she can do better. And by the way it has nothing to do with posting my picture on the blogg. Listen to our advice you men. Some of it could save your tatterred marriages.

  26. Shaka

You must learn to have respect. I wonder how your parents raised you because it is showing clearly on this blog.

  27. If Castro had respect for others he would get the same treatment but alas … I would like to hear from that girl he shot in the knee and ruined her life.

  28. koma pa LT blog pali ma haters. i am overwhelmed by the voluminous amount of hatin on this blog. did i forget to mark my calender. is today international hatin’ day?

  29. We have lost a lot of well meaning and hard working Zambians, some fighting for their pensions and where are all these people when such people pass away? Castro was an evil person and I wonder why these people are even wasting time making a big deal about it. What was the sickness…tell us? He was enjoying while his father was president instead of doing something that could develop himself, he resorted to harming and raping women, now Im sure he got what he deserved. Call evil, evil.

  30. I dont believe Ba Honey and Ba Moze are really saying anything bad by saying TB needs to either wear a chitambala or indeed change the mukule that she dons day IN day OUT. I personally see a lot of good in her especially that she is young is can be a REAL role model to the younger generation BUT the fact is the mukule doesnt suit her sort of face structure…..it makes her look OLDER than she really is. I think she has really GREAT potential to look REALLY, REALLY GOOD if only the mukule could go mwe…..

  31. #41 Babie, this ba Free-Market fimo, fimo , we are not dissing Mrs TB, We are only looking out for her as a fellow lady and learned ladies for that matter. You have nver been to school thats why you dont know any thing about apearance.

  32. honey and babie,

you guys are right about the appearance of our first lady. shes the image of zambian women and at anytime, she should make zambia look beautiful, whether in her garden or at a funeral. she can do better

  33. # 46 Emma, thanks mama for the nice comment, unlike some pipo. They just want to provoke the pipo here.

  34. Where and who is the biological mother of Castro?? Vera was and is still a very good step mother, but surely it does not have to be a Chabala Kafupi episode dejavu. This would be too much for the public to consume from the same family. Did Castro reject his mother like his father rejected his biological grandfather who was very welknown to Vera?

What role is Regina Mwanza supposed to play at Castro’s funeral for interest’s sake? Enjoy a flight to Loepard’s Hill perhaps or push off Maureen Mwanawasa being near FTJ?

  35. Some people are simply dip-sticks!! It is human nature to sympathise yet others take it as an opportunity to say anything. Joke about it anyway you like and just remember that someday it will be you. Yes, Castro might not have been an angel as critics would have loved him to be but he was a human being that chose his own path of leading his life just like you and me. Society judged him because of his behaviour that proved to be not compatible with the social status he was in. Cash paid for his deeds. He is gone now and the least thing to do is respect the dead. You are you to judge? Please grow up and learn something out of this development. If you lose a child, then you will understand. Goodluck.

  36. Ba Honey

What sort of woman gives beauty tips at a funeral. Are you out of your mind. A person has died and the only thing you concentrate on is TB’s appearance.

    You need help.

  37. #46 Emma, hi dear. This blogg is interesting. Some people feel only what they, and only they, must matter. Well, too bad. An opinion is an opinion, period.

  38. @ 48- each one of us is a collective representation Zambia. To nit pick on TB percieved appearances or lack of use of Mac powder is not quite there! In her own way ,appearances and all shes holding her own. She went to console a former first Lady and fellow mother. It should end there!
For the argument @47 that one needs to go school to appreciate appearances ..Mmmm!

  39. If TB is confortable with her looks and dress why comment. Is her appearance going to affect the economy of Zambia? Has anyone died because of her appearance? Is modesty a curse? I know most Zambians love to look presentable but it is time we jugde people by the content of there character not looks.

  40. TRULY UNGRACEFUL WORDS FOR SOME OF THE BLOGGERS. WHAT ARE YOU TEACHING ME AS A BOY ?
THE DEATH OF SOMEONE SHOULD SOMBER YOU INSTEAD OF REJOICING.
    MHSRIP

  41. Iwe Free Fimo Fimo stop being a bully. You are a typical African. Why do you want to force people to do what you think is right? What if nibachitawala? Leave them alone ala!

  42. People should realise a simple MHSRIP will do absolutely nothing to change Castro now. If the boy died without repenting, your MHSRIP means nothing.

  43. #56 Free-Market Fimo, Fimo, You need to grow up or i wll give you a doss of Fertiliser. Go and take your medication , They are looking for you Ku Chainama .

  44. Some of you bloggers are insensitive, since when is a funeral house a fashion showcase. If you ask me, I would rather have a firstlady that know what is appropriate for what event. She is there to mourn, she is not there for a photo op. She looks fine, she definately looks better than the 2 former firstlady’s at General Tembo’s funeral recently, that was downright disgraceful. Lets not forget our traditions and cultures as individuals. MHSRIP

  45. #66 3RqU , Free Fimo Fimo is kinder crazy, what a shame. Hes being have ago at me, Ba moze and Babie C,

  46. Ba Honey

#56 Free-Market Fimo, Fimo, You need to grow up or i wll give you a doss of Fertiliser. Go and take your medication , They are looking for you Ku Chainama .

I need to grow up??? I need to grow up??? I am not the one who is giving beauty tips at a funeral and you have the audacity to tell me to grow up. PEOPLE ARE GRIEVING AND IN PAIN and you are there giving beauty tips. What sort of woman are you. The worst part is you are trying to justify this.

Why don’t you tell me what my medication is since you know it. I might have forgotten.

  47. Ba Honey

I am done with you. You can go ahead and tell yourself you are doing the right thing by giving beauty tips at a funeral where people are shedding tears. Maybe that is what you do at funerals. Whilst people are shedding tears, you are busy rushing to the bathroom to powder your nose so you can look good for whoever at a funeral.

Leave TB alone. She is at a funeral and has no time to worry about the latest fashion trends.

  48. Free Market Economist, My brother, you are very right. Some bloggers sink so low. In short, they dont think. They behave as if they are still toddlers, smelling their mothers’ milk. Ignore them and continue contributing intelligently.

  49. Free Market, relax mudala. No need to get over worked. I think you have put your point across. take it easy mudala. Ni blogging chabe iyi. Its all good.

  50. # 54 Chewe wen did u become former? Congrats man,u hav made me proud rily. Ba Moze mwati mwaona ati Chewe achinja zina? I will not comment on this topic kuti bandila fire abaiche

  51. Mukwai njipusheko nganaluba kuti mwanjelelako, HOW OLD WAS CASTRO WEN HE WAS MISBEHAVING? I have calculated the 33years and found he was very young for his activities (worthless). Condolences mama Vela….

  52. West side! Rest in peace Hommie. Its mourn till we join you. Holla at my boy 2pac. Thug-life and we´re living it. Weeeeesst Sideeeeeeeee 4ever. Am out !

  53. Well said Zoe…. Castro was only 32 and people judge him on what he did in the 90’s when he was a TEENAGER. Where would back people be if the judged Malcom X as the drug dealer he was in his 20’s or Quincy Jones as the school drop out he was in his teens? The fact still remains Castro has died and we need to respect that if not Castro, then his Mother who has lost her much loved son or his siblings who have lost a brother. Zambians need to show some compassion because he was one of our – good or bad.

  54. Indeed Ba Kash, as he was known to some who were close, was many things to different people. Perhaps I was fortunate that I never saw his ugly side the few times I interacted with him. I found him to be a cordial and humourous fellow. I always felt he could achieve much in life and in the wake of his passing, I feel sad about a life that has been wasted. FELLOW BLOGGERS, let us draw lessons from Kash’s life for there are many. First, let us put things right with God and man. Secondly, let us raise our kids to work hard and respect other people even if those people are poor. It is futile to rejoice in the death of a fellow human-being since we all have the same fate. Rather, let us add value to the world and leave it better than we found it. MHSRIP

  55. Thanks a lot #76 RealTalk. We need analytical and mature thinkers like you. There is a reason why doctors treat both good and bad.As for the shallow minded still angry about what Castro did,get a life.Life is too short for you to hold a grudge even against a dead person.

  56. Death or not it still doesn’t make Hitler a good person! The same goes for Castro, his death doesn’t suddenly turn him into SAINT Castro. He will always be remembered for the evil that he did.The only thing that is purely Zambian is HYPOCRISY,why say sweet things about Castro when you all know the pain in the bottom he was.Yes his family and friends will miss him,its only natural, but the rest of Zambia are saying naye atushe alitucusha sana!! If any of you here had done what this boy did you would still be rotting at Mukobeko. So,stop pretending!

  57. Shaka Zulu, its just good manners not speak ill of the dead, even when the nut was hell on earth. I mourn with Vera even though her child called Castro forcibly grabbed my date at Alpha in Northmead way back in 1999. MHSRIP.

  58. #82 Well said Mulenga. MHSRIP will not take him anywhere. Batata if he did not repent, no amount of respect will change things. All you people calling for respect for the dead, please be realistic. May be ba chitawala baliba bwino.

  59. Mulenga, no one is saying Castro was a saint. NO ONE is a saint because we are all human beings and we all have faults. All the public remembers are the bad things but believe me the lies told in the papers or seeing him playing up in a few minutes of his life was not even a fraction of the person he really was. Yes he could be a pain in the bottom and those closest to him knew exactly what a pain he could be but does that mean his family or friends loved or thought of him any less? I don’t think so. I can say, have always said and always will say sweet things about Castro because that is the Castro I knew. When someone dies it is common decency to try and focus on the good and not bad.
His loved ones are also saying naye atushe mwalimucusha sana fye so please let him RIP

  60. #88 Aha! So you wont remember this little bully shot people in their knees? Yeah right go ahead and just remember the nice things. I bet they will send him to heaven. lol!

  61. #80 Zambains never stop amusing. Remember the Kenyan murderer from last year or have you conviniently forgortten?

  62. Castro, 33, is the son of second republican president, Frederick Chilba… He died on Tuesday at the Univeristy Teaching Hospital in Lusaka after an illness.” should have read better as “Castro, 33, was the son of second republican president, Frederick Chiluba… He died on Tuesday at the Univeristy Teaching Hospital in Lusaka after an illness.

Good thing first lady and ministers’ wives.

To Mr Chiluba (Doc, Malawi) and family condomences.

  63. Shot people?? You mean that old (because she was older than him) lady of the night who followed him to his uncles house and tried to steal his wallet as he lay passing out drunk? I do remember her very well and unlike Castro I would not try to fire warning shots when I was drunk because I don’t drink nor would I bother firing warning shots to a thief. If she was such a ‘victim’ why did he not go to prison for it? Give the Zambian Judicial system some credit because I doubt it is THAT tolerant and try not to believe everything you read in the papers.

  64. Yes he could be a little bully when he wanted as I’m sure you can be too 89 but shoot people?? You mean that old (because she was much older than him) lady of the night who followed him home then tried to steal his wallet as he was passing out drunk? He fired a warning shot when he was drunk. Granted handling a gun when a person is drunk is not a good idea but most people would not give ‘warning shots’ a thief. If she was such a victim why did he not get locked up because I know for a fact the judicial system is not that weak in Zambia – give them some credit and stop believing everything you read in the paper.

  65. 94 all judicial systems world wide have flaws – Zambia is no different and if you were there to see how the Zambian police and judicial system dealt with Castro you would know they were anything but lenient. Fact still remains she was a ho trying to turn thief who got away luckier than she would have done if someone else was holding that gun.

  66. I am amazed you are even typing this. You are on about a woman who “was trying to steal a wallet”. Try and google “Tony Martin”.

  67. #85(3RqU),#84 has reminded me of Obvuta who said”Which school did he went to” refering to certain footballer.LOL!

  68. #98 lol! By the way somebody asked on here what lol meant. I enjoyed reading the answers people were giving. lol stands for “laugh out loud”. Started by a group of lazy uni students!

  69. Tony Martin was not harassed all night then followed home to be robbed. It is not some English country farm we are talking about either, Zambia is south central Africa. Fact remains if I were followed home by a prostitute who then wanted to have unprotected sex with me ( and give me whatever else she might have) then tried to rob me because she was rejected or whatever it would be over. Sorry 97 if you don’t love your life that much I do. I would never allow anyone to walk with my wallet – unless there was nothing in it of course. And if you are so self righteous why not let yourself or your son if you have one (because Castro was still young) face the same fate and see how you deal with it. Better still why aren’t YOU giving your money to women like her to stop them getting into…

  70. Bonnie I am glad you googled Tony Martin but you have conviniently said we are talking about Zambia. Why then did you say the judicial system is not only flawed in Zambia?

  71. Didn’t have to google Tony Martin – that case is known to be one of the English judicial systems “great mistakes”. I said it to make a point because people like to say due to the fact his Dad was President or there is so much corruption in the judicial system in Zambia she got no justice. My point is it does have flaws, just like others eg Tony Martins case but not enough to vindicate a person for shooting another without an acceptable reason. I think the Zambian judicial system does work but still has room for improvement however in Castro’s case with that woman, it was very fair and worked just fine. Clear enough for you??

  72. Castro’s shooting together Stavros…does anyone know exactly what transpired or is this simply speculation underpinned by unjustified reasoning?!!

  73. Amazing how you are hopping and poping. I bet after googling Tony Martins all you saw was the news paper article from the Guardian. Nice. Got to do some work now. Bonnie if Castro was anywhere other than Africa, and, yes like you rightly admitted, Zambia, he would be serving life in his death. Bye for now.

  74. “Ala apa komaila nondo ninshi pali ubulema.” A lot of bloggers have mentioned it and it borders on truth and not hatred of any kind. The truth is that, the first lady, Mrs TB looks like some one you would see while standing at Daksha stores in Kasama, jumping off an open van from Mporokoso, Luwingu or Lubushi, In Southern or Western Province she could be jumping off from a scotch cart in Gwembe valley coming from Chief Mweemba’s village or Namushakende kwa Mungu sha!!. Lets face it, what ever her background, she is now Zambia’s first lady and she will go into the annals of Zambia’s history as having been a first lady from 2008-to whatever date her husband leaves office. Nomba first lady in one of the most urbanised countries in sub-Saharan Africa ewingalamoneka filya? ala imwe!!!…

  75. Good call 3RqU – if you can’t keep up then leave it alone!! Guess you work for google or something the way you are promoting them. But no didn’t have to google because I live in London and Zambia too and definitely read the news. By the way life sentences are for living people who normally kill other people or maybe you just haven’t caught on to that concept yet? Either way Castro never took anybodys life so he would never have had to serve life even in death

  76. Zambians are some of the most pretenders i have seen, fake humility and respect. If a person died without Christ, you will pray and pray and speak good things about that person, and your prayers will never be answered till Jesus comes back. The Bible says a man reaps what he sows. Does it say if you sow hatred while living you will reap good accolades when you are dead? Nope!! Lets just hope that Castro changed his life and committed it to Jesus Christ period! Learn to do good while you are alive and when you die, people naturally will praise you like they did to Dorcas the woman who used to to good things.

  77. I realised after I had gone Bonnie that I forgot to use inverted commas. I knew you wouls get excited about that.

  78. # 107 Bonnie, you might be related to castro or a close family friend, and you have all the right to feel pain at his passing, but the fact remains, that chap terrorised Zambians. In such a high profile capacity as presidos son the Zambian youth desrved a better role model. Also where were his parents when he was shooting up discos and terrorising citizens ? They are to blam as much as him. And you keep on about how he was defending him self against a woman. Were were his body gaurd/freinds that he had to use a gun agaist this must have been 6ft body builder woman ?. The fact, he shot a woman. She too had loved ones but was unconnected and did not matter.

  79. So why did Chiluba with his millions of dollars fail to atleast send his own blood for medical treatment? is it true that aba bemba bafwila mubana? even the mother as a deputy minister, she could not get her gratuity to send his ailing son? are those crocodile tears or its real remorse? This was a son of a once powerful president and why shud FTJ buy suits even when his own son was moving with tubes to correct fluid in the head? its a pity that chiluba is so selfish that now am seeing him punishing every fruit that came out of Veras womb.

  80. KC you’re right Castro didn’t know his role or what was expected of him when his Father became President. He just wanted a normal life. He did however apologized to the Zambian public profoundly and to everyone who constantly stopped him on the street, for the mistakes he made in his youth. How many people would like to be judged on the mistakes they made as a child? No one. He changed his ways and even had a position in the Church amongst other things. I can’t judge his parents for what they do or fail to do because Castro was a Christian and loved the deeply regardless of their faults. As for the woman he shot, she had the police, judicial system and Castros forgiveness which is why unlike most thieves who are shot, she walked free.
109 didn’t notice but now you pointed that out…

  81. When a criminal dies the community should rejoice. We are jst waiting to nail his Dad come July 20.No need tryn to be sentimental. the cchap was a menace to society good riddance actually.

  82. Thandie goo.. this is the way a woman should go for a funerall not likeh Regina Chiluba fimo fimo, ena katwishi.. by the way did she attend the stepson’s funeral… L.T. where are the pics? Regina is always dressed in pomposity at famous funerals…

  83. Condolences to amai, aVera & family. Nomba uyu mwana alele taleumfwa, God bless his soul. MHSRIP. But #112, #113, #117 have pity on the woman, cant powder bwino pa malilo. Vinga bwelese vokamba vinangu……….

  84. they say don’t talk bad about the dead but from most of the comments i’ve seen, the late seems to have been a big a**hole! RIP all the same.
