Teta challenges Katele over presidency

MMD chairperson for Information and Publicity, Benny Tetamashimba, has challenged party national secretary Katele Kalumba to come out in the open and declare his alleged “well known” candidature for 2011 presidential election.

Mr Tetamashimba was reacting to media reports quoting Dr Kalumba as saying that the MMD needs a “winnable candidate” in the light of the United National Party for Democracy (UPND) and Patriotic Front (PF) pact.

In a statement made available yesterday, Mr Tetamashimba said Dr Kalumba was supposed to have known that President Banda was the MMD’s winnable candidate for the 2011 elections.

“I wish to agree with Dr Katele Kalumba that MMD needs a winnable candidate, but differ with him on the choice of a winnable candidate because unlike his insinuation that President Rupiah Banda is not a winnable candidate in the light of the UPND/PF pact. President Rupiah Banda is the only winnable candidate,” Mr Tetamashimba said.

He accused Dr Kalumba of having ambitions to challenge President Banda at the MMD convention.

“If President Rupiah Banda is not a winnable candidate, then let Dr Katele Kalumba tell the party members who a winnable candidate is.

For people like me, I know that Dr Katele Kalumba or any other MMD member are far from being winnable candidates,” he said.

Mr Tetamashimba said any MMD candidate can only win when NEC members from each province deliver their provinces to the MMD candidate.

He said the MMD needs strong candidates at parliamentary level and campaigners in 2011 for President Banda to win.

“Those against the candidature of Rupiah Banda are spoilers and want the MMD to be in the opposition after 2011 elections, and we shall not allow that,” he said.

He said the PF/UPND pact is nothing tangible but an exercise in futility, as the two leaders and their members do not support the pact except as a political exercise to try and sow a seed of discontent in MMD.[quote]

“I know of MPs in the two opposition parties who are not willing to be led by any of the two leaders.

The pact is supported by people who lost elections in 2006 who feel that they may have a chance this time around,” he said.

He said the MMD will win 2011 general elections as people trust President Banda and the MMD because of its performance and fight against corruption.

Mr Tetamashimba also condemned PF leaders who beat up their colleagues at a press briefing on Friday.

He appealed to the police to arrest those who beat up the two PF leaders and the leaders who authorised them.
“We challenge Mr Hichilema Hakainde to tell the nation whether his party accepts what he saw on television,” he said.

Commenting on Mr Charles Milupi’s statement over hearses bought by Government, Mr Tetamashimba said he had no problem with the purchase of the vehicles.

“Let him know I have no problems with the purchase of the items which I will deliver to every province for the poor people to be taken to the grave yard decently. At no time did I state that Honourable Sylvia Masebo was corrupt,” he said.

Mr Tetamashimba said Mr Milupi is free to learn more on the issue by going to the Ant-Corruption Commission or waiting for the Auditor General’s audit.

  1. A ba bena Ba Teta bamoneka nga balya aba butuke from Chinama Hills Hospital.
    (A Chainama Hills run-away).

I hope he is not starting something that he can finish in here….

  2. Its katele’s constitutional right to stand if he wants, give him a chance Teta. You MMD chaps are now shaking down !

  3. It’s democracy iwe chiTeta. RBB does not have roots in the MMD presidency. Imwe fi swine you have killed the national dream of 1990/91 because you want to ride on people’s poverty and ignorance. Go for it, Katele. Go for it, any one in the MMD.

  4. Katele is right on this one but I still would NOT support him Katele for presidency because he did not respect the law when he was running away from the police and practising witchcraft. However, this Teta and his tandem of illiterates will only help destroy Zambia and finally the MMD which realistically speaking has outlived its usefulness. That is if was at all useful to Zambians in the first place.

  5. Ba LT surely you don’t know what UPND stands for ? who does your editing ? Teta also likes talking too much, but Dr. Katele Kalumba surely thinks he is the winnable candidate even with all the cases in the courts of law. MMD no wonder you stand for “Mukalya Mweka Dady”. The pact is also a dream that will never come true due to the selfishness of the two leaders. A pact should stand for a common goal not just removing MMD from power, then what happens next ? PF you must go for a convention so that you have democraticaly elected leaders not those hand picked by the self appointed exectuvie. Come up with a proper written document which you must sell so that maybe we can try and see what you are talking about. Not a gentlemans agreement in real life issues

  6. In 2002 and 2006 Katele campaigned for Sata, MMD won. In 2008 he did the same, MMD still won with RB so shall 2011.By harboring wishful thoughts; Katele is merely exercising his constitutional right. It does not necessarily mean that ambitions translate into political, moral and party interest to be condoned or change collective party interest for national stamp.

  7. The biggest danger to MMD is yo tetamashimba.your clinging to rupiah banda is not as you put it that he is a winnable candidate,it is that he is the only blind man who can guarantee you a job.there are a lot of winnable candidates in MMD and one of them is FELIX MUTATI even MAGANDE can be better off than rupiah.

  8. The country is already aware of MMD Party choice with unwavering momentum for RB 2011. The party policy of inclusive politics of any citizen at party level and not national stamp has not changed since 2002 when he went into laptop with doctoring. As it were in 2002 to 2008 so it shall be now and in 2011. National stamp is for moralists and statesmen only. Certainly convention will deliver a very clear and decisive vote in the name of Democracy. This is MMD with a culture of collective institutional values than individualized personality cults only in PF. Collective voice takes precedence over anything else in MMD.

  9. Chi Tetamashimba naku kanwa kwati cha sheta chloroquine or kwati chanunsha pali fiswi. Why do you like waffling? And why do you fear Katele? By the way, chi Katele mu MMD ni chi Zuma – chalikwata popularity, remember how VJ was whalloped at the convention? Maybe limbi chilabikamo no buloshi.

  10. MMD chooses its own leaders out of best collective interest. It never fails those it taps to serve on its ticket. In 2002 and 2006 with a very sick person in Levy Mwanawasa we proved wrong and defeated armchair critics. In 2008 with little campaign time, it’s our choice RB that reigned and so shall he reign in 2011.

We challenge those not happy and unbelieving to defy collective party interest at the convention or resign and take MMD head on. We are live to uphold democratic values and defeat them all. Let those who think they are institutions challenge the party wisdom in an open democratic space.

  11. These id!otic criminals will engage in squabbles over anything. Men without an idea on how to take the country forward spending each and every day fighting in the news, when will they concentrate on development? You !diots your duty is to develop the nation. Let the citizens analyze your achievements, then they’ll vote you back into office. How dare you come here with this winnable candidate nonsense you vagabonds.
Sick and tired of these d!ck-sucking !mbeciles pulling at each other’s balls in the public.

  12. #8 Shi Taonga,I like your blog name it reminds me of my cousin.I agree with you that PF must go for a convention, but what use is having a written piece of paper when whats written is never followed. In the MMD they intimidate any one challenging for presidency against the incumbant,UPND they ignored their written constitution when Mazoka died and insisted that only a Tonga can be UPND president. In Zambia there is no democracy but mediocrity, intimidation is the order of the day.

  13. Chiteta ni chi bo bo bo bo lyonse. Awe if this person were my father I would denounce my sonship to him. Is just too irrational in all is utterances. Is he a Zambian or he is here to just make money? To him democracy is having just one person stand? Let Katele stand and who ever is popular in MMD will carry the day. Why do you fear Kalele. Nga muleanga akamisangula tu tooise computers coz mumutendekafya. You have failed even to prosecut e him because you are also corrupt people. REVOLUTION 2011….MMD OUT.

  14. MMD is now also becoming the exact opposite of what they claim to stand for. With the pronouncements being made now by Teta, will they need to go for a convention when some candidates are already preferred? Will the convention be merely a window dressing publicity stunt to cheat members into believing that they is some semblance of democracy in the party when none exists?

What happens to the likes of Prof Chirwa and others who have an interest in competing for the presidency? Will they also be given the treatmet Kavindele experienced in Kabwe some years ago

  15. We advise and welcome all manor of candidates to count on the MMD convention where Decision 2011 will be sealed. Again its not blogs and tabloids that shapes the MMD destiny but MMD itself. Thus now we appeal to all loud mouthed candidates and dreamers to step forward for the convention and prepare to respect the collective verdict or quit there after. We will not do the Sata third term option of pangas but allow democracy to nurture itself. Unlike PF and UPND aka PACT, MMD seals its stamp at the convention and any potential candidate should be excited of this convention.

  16. by now all well meaning and sane zambians know that nyama soya is a raw deal…i know of some good guys who can even do better than LPM with zed, ofcourse knowing that RB is nothin to compare with…now more importantly Teta can you maturely respond to charles milupi’s challenge…there are alot of questions that he has bombarded you whose answers we are waiting for from you than this mediocre attack on katele

  17. If i were RB,i would remove Teta as a minister and see whether he will still remain loyal or not.
I feel strongly that Teta is using his position in govt to do some dirt business. He must be running some businesses which are benefiting by him being in govt.
Teta is very very IMMORAL.He preaches the WORST filthy agenda of CANCEROUS TRIBALISM.
1.He mentioned this in Eastern Province
2.He accused HH for the same
3.Now its Kambwili and the people of NW-province.

RB should watch Teta carefully and act quickly becoz this man can fuel trouble in our beloved country.
He does not understand Democracy. He does not want anyone to have an opposing view.
He is forgetting that he found Katele and many others in MMD.He betrayed late ANDY and jumped onto MMD bundle wagon.

  18. ??? ??? ???????????!!! Leave Katele alone.who knows what comes 2morow?we have a leadership crisis in Zambia that’s why everyone feels can rule the country.

  19. Politics of threats. Teta is a big RB stooge whose daily life is about idolising RB for nothing. In a democratic nation, people should be able to express their opinions whether right or wrong and so does Katele. Teta is only interested in keeping his job at any expense, reason why he will say whatever pleases RB whether it makes sense or not. Teta the monkey!

  20. i don’t know a lot about RB but i know his goverment increased students’ allowances.thumbs up.

  21. Trust me in Zambian politics there will always be someone like Teta ( i dont even know why i started his name with capital ‘ T ‘ ). During KKs time we had Kamalondos, during FTJ we had Sata, Nakawala, alfred Ndlobvu etc, during Levys time Mpombo and now ba Teta. So you see folks there will always be someone self-assigned to irritate others with impunity and am sure Katele is well aware of this monkey trick.

  22. Teta is a Carry! Go! Bring! Come!. The man knows very well that he does have a job after RB. thats why he insisists on having finished products Like his friend RB. Finished as in Useless.

  23. Teta and kalumba are not very different!! I mean the whole thing stinks, Teta stopping Kalumba and Kalumba wanting to stand and rule Zambia. Is Zambia going to become a withcraft nation and legitimize corruption? Ohh What shallow thinking by both. Even giving these two clowns coverage is a waste of time. Go PF & UPND, Rupiah knows what’s lying ahead, he is leading Zambia with no deliverables, just like a traditional leader who owes people nothing.

  24. Katele has the rights to express his views,so chi Teta should not just keep quiet.
Teta your mouth like a bottle fish

  25. Only in Africa can someone facing theft charges be intending to stand for the highest office. That Katele is a big thief. He was FJT’s accountant. His case is in the pipe line. He is only around because illitarate voters who do not know the implihcations of voting a thief into office voted for him as MP. He should at least wait for his case to be solved then if inocent, yes. But not now, the damege done by FLT is still fresh

  26. Katele is much wiser than Teta, and every one in MMD knows that, no wonder they are scared of him. At Convention he can easily win RB, as some one said he is a Zuma of Zambia. He know how to associate with grass root MMD and very humble (compared to most doctors in Zambia). In previous elections, POST thought Katele will stand and they started attacking, but he surprised every one. But chances are that he might just stand for the same position, so that he just keep his party position, while he continue making money with his copper mines in Luapula. What is so special about him after the police chased him for months, the next thing he was busy compaigning with LPM in Matero

  27. Katele has the democratic right to contest the MMD presidency.Teta must learn from the past by realising that Katele is no pushover.LPM with the state machinery at his disposal supported VJ for the MMD National Secretary position at 06 convention but lost to Katele. At the time RB was a loyal UNIPST and Teta an ardent UNPD,Katele was busy building his grassroot base in the MMD.I believe the letter D in MMD still stands for Democracy and therefore, let the will of the people at the convetion prevail.Demagogy at this stage will not help.

  28. This is INTERNAL MMD politics as long as they hold a fair convention before coming up with a candidate, its fine by me. All the anger above needs to be directed to PF who do not hold conventions in any form, how callous.

  29. I do not know whether am the only one who read that article carried by the post. Contrary to Teta’s misrepresentation of the article, Katele seemed to have been suggesting that the trend reported in the provinces, ie endorsing Ba Banda was a good thing. I do not know whether he deliberately chose to overlook that fact or is it the reveletion of his reading ability. Do not misunderstand me , am here just correcting the impression. Unless Banda is sponsoring Teta’ I think sooner than later he will fall out grace with his boss.I f you can access the post I encourage you to read the article again.

  30. Katele and Teta should not turn on each other like this. Teta has been very quarrelsome even in the days of mwanawasa. President Banda needs a strong, dedicated team to win 2011. I dare say he needs the likes of FTJ, General Miyanda, KK to defeat the new alliance of PF/UPND. The composition of his cabinet needs to change forthwith to include Heritage Party structures and those of Mr Sakwiba Sikota otherwise he might as well kiss good bye to statehouse. He needs to deal decisively with the Post especially if he needs them quiet before 2011.

  31. TETA TETA TETA, THERE YOU GO AGAIN WITH YOUR DIAHORREA OF THE MOUTH. NO WONDER KUKANWA KUMONEKELA IFYO. RB CAN YOU TRY TO FIRE THIS TETA GUY EVEN IF THERE IS NO GOOD REASON FOR YOU TO DO SO BUT JUST TO SEE IF THE CHAP WILL CONTINUE ENDORSING YOU EVEN WITHOUT A MINISTERIAL POSITION. AS FOR KATELE, WITH HIS CORRUPTION CASES, HE SURELY ISNT THE RIGHT PERSON TO STAND. HE WOULD HAVE MADE SENSE THOUGH HAD IT NOT BEEN FOR THE CORRUPTION CASES. TWAPAPATA MUNE TETAMALILO NAKAKO MUMILANDILE YOBE.WE KNOW YOU ARE THE PUBLICITY CHAIR BUT AT TIMES ULESULAKO KU FINTU SO THAT WE SEE NGACHACHINE TAWAKWATO AMANO KUTI LIMBI TUKUBEPESHYAFYE.

  32. MMD has lost its flavor. When you look around, you don’t see any original MMD members due to such politics from people who opposed MMD from the beginning. If Teta wants to prove that Katele is not viable and cannot win, let there be free elections in MMD. In fact the time Teta will be relieved of his position, that will be his last day in MMD. UPND saw his behavior and when you look around he is one chap whose politics are based on tribe and regional. Katele lost everything to an extent that he became a fugitive in his own party but when the dust settled, he still went back and continued were he left. Teta knows the popularity of Katele within ranks of MMD hence his outbursts. On corruption, RB and Levy are in trouble, there’s a bombshell coming out soon. Maureen knows.

  33. Great stuff man of action Minister Teta., but please leave Kaka alone. On “He said the PF/UPND pact is nothing tangible but an exercise in futility, as the two leaders and their members do not support the pact except as a political exercise to try and sow a seed of discontent in MMD“, just wait and see how you will be shocked by the Undereducate’s becoming a changed man. On “The pact is supported by people who lost elections in 2006 who feel that they may have a chance this time around,” he said“, this is true and the reason why competititon has been strengthen for the Zambian Presidency job in light of the 2011 elections.

Instead of trying to predict the future which is in God’s hands, just concentrate on your current mandate.

    Prevention is better than…

  34. As for Kaka, his “Mr Tetamashimba was reacting to media reports quoting Dr Kalumba as saying that the MMD needs a “winnable candidate” in the light of the United National Party for Democracy (UPND) and Patriotic Front (PF) pact” alluded to data is timely, for the PF and UPND pact MUST not be taken lightly this time around.

I am of the view that the Undereducate Sata should disband his personal party PF and join the UPND as its cadre in 2011 so that he can stand as UPND National Chairman even unopposed to show the whole National that he has repented from his dictatorial, racist and tribal way of doing politics.

Such would also give him an opportunity to stop being a flip-flop on any issue, hence end his chain of giving lies to cheat.
    __
    Prevention is better than…

  35. is it really a crime for a person to support someone else rather than the current president? If i remember well this same Teta was busy singing that Mwanawasa was the only winnable candidate in 2006, and Rupiah was already MMD then, why didnt this useless minister state that it was Mwanawasa and Banda who were the winnable candidates? Today its only Banda..woow. This guy is the worst bootlicker i have ever seen. Anyway Since MMD supposedly stands for democracy, let everyone in the party support whom they want freely and the majority shall win. So teta if people in your party agree with you then Banda will win but if not they will choose whom they want simple! so just shut up!

  36. When I look back to 1991, I almost shed tears. This is the time when people sacrifised to bring about change. The sprit of 1991 has been killed by people who feel Zambians are only interested in who the MMD presidential candidate year in and year out. What politics is this? As some people say, in Africa there are no elections but selections. The President is barely six months in office. Can anyone carry out a genuine opinion poll and find out how popular he is? Be careful, popularity can be eroded by the actions of those who are themselves not popular. When are we going to have genuine people to lead us?

  37. TETA TETA!!! DURING THE ELECTIONS YOU WERE LOOKING FOR A JOB AND YOU HAVE BEEN GIVEN THAT JOB AND HAVE FAILED TO DELIVER AS SYLVIA MASEBO DID. SHE MADE THE STREETS OF LSK SAFE BUT YOU HVNT. YOU WERE GIVENT THE JOB AND INSTEAD OF DELIVERING YOU ARE TRYING TO KEEP YOUR JOB BY TRYING TO URSHER A CANDIDATE FOR THE 2011 ELECTIONS. PLIZ TETA DELIVER AND YOUR JOB SHALL BE SECURED. WE MISS SYLVIA, THE STREETS WERE SAFE DURING HER TENURE.

  38. #50, how can a PF with more MPs join UPND. The normal thing is HH to be VP to SATA. Thats Obama refused to be VP to Hillary, because he was leading in the polls.

  39. Look at Tete kukanwa kwita, he has smelt the fish in LT’s weekend pictures. Why does he always have something to say? As much as I would not on my life support Katele, he is within his right if he wants to stand as, let him be. I cant wait for the day Tete will hang in the cold. : “Every dog has got it’s day” that includes you Tete even if you are not a dog.

  40. #45 loggerheads
If there wasn’t that flag against your name one wouldn’t know that you even have the modest of exposures, in terms of learning from civilised countries like UK. What do you mean by saying ” He needs to deal decisively with the Post especially if he needs them quiet before 2011”. Bembas say you can give a swine a bath but will go back to roll in the mud as soon as you finish cleaning it. No one is saying you can’t support RB but its daft of you to say the Post ought to be muzzled if he’s to win the next elections. You should be ashamed of yourself you are an embarrassment to the Zambian community (both the pro MMD and pro oppositions).

  41. If i may ask, why ya’o are getting preoccupied in hyperventillations over internal MMD matters you have no bearing influencing? MMD is the only functional democractic institution unlike UPND and PF two titulars parties run by self imposed so called leaders.Every 5 years consistent with democratic culture & norms, MMD members congregate at national convention where people the future of the party and nation is determined.FYI, other than your wasteful and baseless assumptions synonymous with lowest knowledge, the convention will seal the 2011 ticket.Yes the national consensus in loudest calls are tforward with RB but those believing otherwise, have the platform to take him on.On defeat, they have the honor of conceeding and serving the party or quit for other stages.Democracy at work in…

  42. Hon.Tetamashimba is an elected and mandated voice of the ruling MMD-spokesman.He speaks and articulates the best of MMD,policy and interest. When it comes to real clear politic, do you expect him to speak what is not in the collective and best interest of MMD? The party spokesperson is the mandated mouth piece and if you think you are formidable take MMD on.

  43. #59 SENIOR CITIZEN
So when was the last time MMD democratically choose their leaders?Hmm lets see, Levy was dragged from his sleep and thrust down people’s throats, Oh o oo no! don’t talk about our Ruphia propped up characters like Teta and Mulongoti for selfish reasons, to rape our country whilest the emperor lumbers in his rocking chair or in the air going to every meeting on the continent. So you still use those words, i thought have matured by now.

  44. Chibombamilimo for RB

Former Energy Deputy Minister, Lameck Chibombamilimo says President Rupiah Banda is the only marketable MMD candidate for the 2011 Presidential elections.

Mr. Chibombamilimo, who is also MMD Mpulungu Member of Parliament, says it will be a mistake for MMD members to overlook President Banda for another candidate.

He has urged the ruling party to begin packaging President Banda’s performance record to market his candidature to the electorate.

Mr. Chibombamilimo was speaking at a media briefing in Lusaka, Sunday.

He said sitting Presidents always enjoy the advantage of incumbency during presidential elections.

And Mr. Chibombamilimo has commended President Banda for his quick action on officials implicated in the K27 billion scam at the Ministry of…

  45. He said he is happy that President Banda has sustained the fight against corruption.

Mr. Chibombamilimo was recently expelled from the MMD but has challenged the party’s decision in court.

  46. Ching chong @#43, it baffles me too! Indeed, what is a ‘Winnable candidate’? And these are the so-called graduates with degrees, uh?

  47. Senior citizen, you make me laugh always with your diatribe on opposition political parties. Your assumption about democracy and its principles in MMD is deluded by self imposed diaphanous. Why ? Anyone can see that intimidation and verbal character asassination of those who want to stand for MMD presidency are threatened. Teta is at it again. If MMD cadres want RB as their party president they will vote for him. Democracy becomes democracy when the rules of engagement are profoundly followed and adhere to. All political parties are have something in them to talk about. Hope the change in 2011 won’t make you fired from the Zambian Embassy in USA. Good lucky mr MMD Shushushu.

  48. #61 and #62 is SENIOR CITIZEN………He`s on this blog performing similar duties to TETA.These demagogues have nothing to offer the nation. No wonder when RB was asked how he would tackle the effects of the global economic crisis. His answer was blank,no plan, zero and yet they expect sane people to support them.

  49. Pafwenamwine @ #64, I hear you. I have also been amazed at the “party cadre” mentality and zealousness of some of the bloggers! As you point out, t here’s nothing but diatribe and irrational contributions one wonders if indeed they are paid agents!! They see only one side of any issue: Their side!!

  50. The real problem with zambian politics is poverty and lack of opportunities elsewhere. Every fool thinks he can make money in politcs but when we start jailing them, then they start jumping like rats.Chiluba as pompous as he used to be now jumps like a monkey when RB coughs. Isn’t he the same person who incarcerated RB over the black mamba lies. Shameless Kafupi. No morals and no principles. People like Chiluba and Teta are not required in politics and so is Mulongoti, Katele, Nawakwi, Mabenga and the entire team of thieves together with undereducate Sata. New blood and new thinkers – absh opportunitists. But wee, they stole and they can kill people with divergent views. That is Sata and Chilkuba for you.

  51. # 65-67,
You ejected political vagabond who sold my President Sata to this perential mess of doomed PF failure. Stop using my name in peddling insinuations you have no substance for against those overwhelming you in acrobatics. You are the ones whose brainless sycophancy has trapped President Sata to this business of daily ranting like a chinama candidate. For the 9 years you been misleading him, what value have brought to our party other than threatening any dissent and call for intra party democracy? You are the ones causing these useless efforts of lifeless pacts without a binding objective.Every voter now looks at our party PF as a club of little brains with inferiority complex and without ideas of wacking mmd mafias. In my administration you useless tribal driven cadres will be a no.

  52. # 65-67,
You ejected political vagabond who sold my President Sata to this perential mess of doomed PF failure. Stop using my name in peddling insinuations you have no substance for against those overwhelming you in acrobatics.

  53. You are the ones whose brainless sycophancy has trapped President Sata to this business of daily ranting like a chinama candidate. For the 9 years you have been misleading him, what value have you brought to our party other than threatening any dissent and blocking calls for intra party democracy?

  54. #56, even if Zambians are ctup!d ed!ots as KK knows them-not this time arround. MMD is not winning. If they do in 2011, I will totally agree with what KK thinks about Zambians.

  55. # 65-67,
You are the ones causing these useless efforts of lifeless pacts without a binding objective.Every voter now looks at our party PF as a club of little brains with inferiority complex and without ideas of wacking mmd elitists. In my administration you useless tribal driven cadres will be a no choice.

  56. “SENIOR chief Bright Nalubamba of Namwala district has said the pact between the Patriotic Front and United Party for National Development (UPND) was a welcome move in strengthening the opposition in the country.”

ABENA CHILUBA MWAKAKWA NOMBA SATA AISA. SATA, COME AND SEEP THE NATION.

  57. Peter, Don’t flatter us with false assumptions. What parameter, dynamcs or variables have since changed to alter a culture of defeat in 2011? Have voters, votes, ballots, constituencies or candidates changed this time around?Me thought we still stuck with the same self impossed unelected goons who have been tumbling since they gumbled on the stage.Aren’t these the same goons who even a patient Mwanawasa disturbed from his slumber whacked?

  58. Senior Citizen is the man who just joined us in the US from ZNBC at the embassy. This man was a dull guy at Evelyn Hone College who did nothing but snoop at his friends activities at Hone. Next time Senior Citizen you utter anything to intimidate us, I will just call you by your name. Today I will just call you as BK. I know when you left Hone and your classmates. Stop your behavior or you will be on the watch list by your friends here who can do it better.

  59. #79 Kalos202, you are right mate, Senior Citizen, is MMD shushushu at the Zambian Embassy in USA and we know him very well. He is a dull chap no wonder he can’t see any sense in what is being contributed. MMD, PF , UNDP are not Zambia these are just political parties. MMD has created corruption, misery, self serving culture, out of touch with ordinary people amounting to who you know to have a job and not what academic experience you have to offer. Almost the entire country is facing a stand still due to poor govt management and PR. Senior citizen stop your show off behaviour coz your political appointment at the embassy is not a permanent carer to boast about. Any change in govt means Kuya bebele.
Some of us we care about our country and the hardship many zambians are facing due…

  60. # 80 Pafwenamwine, I have known this man since I was a kid. He has failed to click apart from using his private duties that have failed to take him anywhere apart from putting his nose in progressive young people’s business. When we talk on this blog, our intentions are clear and mean well for our nation. This guy’s blog is to support his employers even when millions are suffering due to his employer’s failures and ineptude. Zambia could be better off without such people. Women and children are suffering in masses, but this guy’s most important thing is his job and his pocket. What type of a person is this guy? In fact he is too old to have even accepted his position at the embassy at his age. What was wrong keeping your DJ job at ZNBC? You are too old for that job. Fool.

  61. Chapi, you are insane. You need mini mental examination to determine your mental state.
If Chapi is Senior citizen then young man you are out of your mind. Stop using different names.

  62. Ba senior citzen mwasebana…….now I am knowing you. Was at evlyn hone, then DJ at ZNBC. woow, guys, let us menssion his name next time he becomes unbecoming. Yes this person at the US embasy is coming up in my mind. I will soon remember him.

  63. #83 Kambongolo, actually he came as mature at Hone and he was in the same class with Fred Mushimbalume, Chewe Chiluba, Timmy Mvula and others. Married to an old old woman than him. He knows we know him.

  64. Teta wena cipuba amano takwata! why doesn’t he reason even for a moment? anyway, his external appearance fits his mind. his ugliness reflects his stupidity. look at his face, hair, lens, dressing! kwena cipuba!!!

  65. Oh no Senior Citizen has been humbled.to the fullest…Doubt if he will ever show up on LT,but if he does then he will use another blog name…

  66. Katele is a better candidate. I will campaign for him. He needs the support. He will get aquitted of all those corruption cases just lkie somebody has suggested ati nu Jacob Zuma of MMD

  67. Who is Benny Tetamashima anyway? This guy looks like a Gorrila from munda wanga zoo, with a long jaw. He was a nobody but now thinks he can intimidate anyone anyhow. He should try me. Na bena ba Katele, he thinks he’s the Jacob Zuma of Zambia. We don’t want thieves.

  68. 55 Hangandu greetings. On your #50, how can a PF with more MPs join UPND. The normal thing is HH to be VP to SATA. Thats Obama refused to be VP to Hillary, because he was leading in the polls., go and recount PF MPs and you will realise the UPND has more MPs loyal to it in Parliament than the Undereducate’s PF. Besides that, the Undereducate has seen that he is not useful to Zambian politics and wants to revive hisstance by riding on president HH and the mighty UPND’s back“. If you do not believe me, just wait and see what will happen in future for I am watching these things with interest.

    Have a blessed day.

  69. Teta is such a meat head. “It appears kalumba is challenging RB……” of course that is a possibility and a democratic right! If Katele does not feel RB is winnable, he is under no legal or moral obligation to explain to Teta who he thinks is a winnable candidate. The convention should decide.
    What century is Teta in?

  70. Pafwenamwine…….SENIOR CITIZEN is a SHUSHUSHU who keeps using my ID.Disregard any comments under my ID in support of the MMD.I can never support a party of HOODLUMS and THUGS.

  71. Any one can stand for Presidency. This is the reason we formed MMD to give chance to all Zambians. TEtamalilo if you think you are not fit to rule continue to be rule but let let those with courage full fill their wishes without threats from loose cannons like yourself.

  72. Dont inslt our leaders guys. This freedom we are having should not be taken for granted. RB must be given another chance to rule us. He is very intlligent and understanding man. Let him scoop 2011 with big magine! What do you think folks?

  73. It is a sad thing to note that people who worked day and night to build up this party called MMD are now under the shadows of intruders like Teta, Who is this teta mashimba to educate Dr Katele kalumba what is best for MMD? When did his name be counted as one among matured politicians in Zambia? Please original MMD members stand up and crab back your party from these people who never invested even a single coin when this then wind of change was blowing pa zed. Even the bible says a person must reap his or her sweat, but this is not what is happening in MMD, Where are the mbita Chitalas of those Days, please i beg you wake, let these new comers form their own party. In MMD are even good qualified original members who can easily win any election pa zep. Pliz thrash out these intruders,

  74. Ha ha ha . These guys remind me of Timon and Pumba! But ba Teta you must be careful what you say kuli ba Katele abo ka. u might just turn into akansuswa olo chi gumu gumu.
