Share

A 32 year old man of Kitwe yesterday smeared himself with human excreta in an attempt to escape from police custody.

ZANIS Kitwe reports that Chibuye Mukosa, a businessman of house No. 1047 Mulenga Compound appeared before magistrate Dunstein Muchaba for plea and tried to escape shortly after the court session.

Mukosa was arrested on 26th December 2008 and charged with malicious damage, contrary to section 335 (1) of the penal code.

Copperbelt Police Commanding Officer, Antoniel Mutentwa said Mukosa smeared himself with human excreta and attempted to bolt after appearing in court.

Mr. Mutentwa said Mukosa was however apprehended by the police and later cleaned up by the fire brigade before he was remanded in custody.

Facts before the court were that on 14th December 2008, Mukosa allegedly damaged window panes valued at K299, 000 belonging to one Samson Kunda.

Mukosa pleaded not guilty to the charge and the matter was adjourned to 26th June 2009 for commencement of trial.

  1. Good srategy lol……Ebupuba ubu…Now the why take some1 2 court over a ka K299,000.that was supose to be sorted out amicably….Busy wasting time on useless criminals when plunderers are walking freely….Mulelenga abantu nomba ukuishinga armour fee…..lol.

  2. I am inclined to believe that this is a validation that FTJ was indeed born in Kitwe (Chamboli- Jamboree) and not Musangu village

  3. just for 299,000 sure you keep someone for six month plus in jail awe JUSTICE is needed, if it is like then what is chilluba and Regina still enjoying life outside prison

  4. But iwe uli scientist like one of our scientist on this blog. Sure you are mafi scientist. Prisoners here is the Mafi science…use it to escape………hahahahahahah.

  5. He just wanted the police to touch ‘amafi’ when apprehending him because earlier they were arguing about it. The fire brigade should have bathed the police as well. All this is amafi. What a scenario.

  6. Justice indeed 299,000 kwacha only and someone must be tried in the courts of law surely. Big criminals are busy on the streets and enjoying Africa Freedom Day at state house grounds, what a nation. That guy must be taken to Chainama and be examined properly and I’m sure that is the reason why he even broke those window panes because of UBUSHILU.

  7. He should cover the cost for thewashing,Those guys are supposed to fight fire and not to clean sh*t…Anyway nice effort.Sh*t can really stink especially if you had taken some Chibuku,it can scare the hell out of someone.
have you been to some of those Ghetto location with makeshift toilets ,Believe me , the smell is equivalent to a Nuclear plant

  8. Uku isuba amafii pali 3 Zali, wonder what he could do if he was Chuluba’s shoes, though maybe too high..

  9. #13 I totally agree with you, that man is mentally disturbed and needs to be medically examined. I feel sorry for him.

  10. Atase for 300pin & he has done tym already.Just release the guy 6 months can drive man crazy in remand. Is that offence not bailable in Zambia?

  11. criminals/plunderers are roaming our streets while a psychiatric patient is kept in prison for six months over 299 pin damage. rubbish.!
Its becoming a circus because most convicted criminals/plunderers are not behind bars.

  12. This world is very unfare……. poor people are the one behind bars while the rich are out enjoyingg the freedom. The guy has suffered enough over 300pin, just =let him out.

  13. One part of the story not being told. The man was battered by instant justice mob, head split open, then washed by fire brigade then taken back to cells. All who participated in the act are now equally stinking!! Had a good laugh when i saw this on TV. Manje ba ZNBC should know that when we pay, we dont expect them to show us muntu azola poopoo! Ala!

  14. THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN PEOPLE ARE KEPT IN THE CELLS FOR TOO LONG. BIG PLUNDERERS EVEN GO TO COURT IN SUITS AND GET SMALL SENTENCES. JUST LAST MONTH A MAN IN PETAUKE WAS SENTENCED TO 18MONTHS IN PRISON FOR STEALING A CELL PHONE WORTH 299PIN AND YET ABENA REGINA ABAIBA AMA MILLION NA FTJ AND COMPANY ARE STILL ENJOYING STATE RESOURCES. JUST WHAT IS WRONG WITH THE LAW.

  15. If only you guys watched the ZNBC news, you would have seen the kickng the guy was given by both members of the public and the police.

  16. Deal with Criminal ,this story to suggests that their is something to do with his mental balance it is not only a strategy and also who is going to pay for his bail this poor fellow.Come on wake up Lawyers.
A very sad story indeed plunderers are walking scort freely. shame.

  17. who gave him amafi? was it bakapokola? or ba fire fire? Ninani wanyele? if he can smear himself over a 3 Zali then Chiluba can just get chi tank full of amafi to smear himself of billions.
