The MMD is poised for victory in yesterday’s Chitambo parliamentary by-election. The MMD candidate Dr Solomon Musonda is leading with over 1, 000 votes against his main competitor, opposition PF’s candidate. There are only 3 polling stations left for counting and it is unlikely there are  enough numbers to offset the margin by the opposition.

Vice President George Kunda has launched a victory celebration for the MMD.  Mr Kunda commended the Movement for Multiparty Democracy (MMD) for emerging victorious in the just ended Chitambo parliamentary by-elections.

Mr. Kunda says the victory in the Chitambo by-elections was clear indication of how strong the MMD is in the country.

The Vice President was speaking on his arrival at Livingstone airport this morning.

Mr. Kunda said the victory had also shown that MMD was a force to reckon in the country’s political arena adding that the ruling party was ready for the 2011 general elections.

Meanwhile, Mr. Kunda has described the Patriotic Front (PF)-United Party for National Development (UPND) pact as weak.

He said the PF-UPND pact does not save the interest of all its members but that of PF President Michael Sata and UPND Leader Hakainde Hichilema.

Meanwhile The opposition Patriotic Front (PF) has retained the Chilyapa and Muchinka ward seats in Mansa.[quote]

PF candidates, Fabian Chibela for the Chilyapa ward and Stephen Chenda for the Muchinka ward emerged victorious in yesterday’s polls.

Chibela and Chenda were declared winners in their respective wards by returning officer Christopher Mumba at the Civic Center last night.

Chibela polled 746 votes followed by ruling Movement for Multiparty Democracy (MMD) candidate Sydney Chama who got 355 votes while United Independence Party (UNIP) candidate only managed to scoup 57 votes.

And the Muchinka ward seat was retained after PF candidate Chenda polled 594 votes beating MMD’s Babra Chilufya with 204 votes while Sylvester Mubanga for UNIP scouped 49 votes.

The Muchinka ward fell vacant after the then PF councillor, Cornelius Musenge was convicted of theft by public servant by the courts of law.

Mr Musenge was convicted last year for stealing cement and funds meant for construction of a bridge and purchasing of a bus for Mansa Secondary School in his ward.

While the Chilyapa ward became vacant after the death of its councillor Loyd Kanjelesa early this year.

And in Choma the opposition, United Party for National Development (UPND) has retained the State-land ward seat in Choma.

Announcing the results last night at 21.50 hours, Returning officer, George Samihamba declared UPND candidate, Dorcas Mushala, winner after she polled 355 votes against Choma MMD’s district secretary Andrew Siamayuwa who managed 255 votes.

Mr Samihamba described the by-election as incident free.

The seat fell vacant after the death of UPND councilor, Fair Hachilili who died early this year.

Meanwhile, there was jubilation among UPND cadres at the Civic Centre in Choma last night after Ms Mushala was declared winner.

UPND Deputy national vice chairperson for elections, Phillip Mambo told supporters that this was the beginning of greater things to come resulting from the PF/UPND pact.

And in Kalomo the United Party for National Development (UPND) has scooped the Mayoba ward by- elections in yesterday’s polls.

Announcing the results last night at about 23:30 hours at Kalomo High School, returning officer, Richard Mbwainga declared Phinias Silokomela of the UPND/PF supported pact victorious with 457 votes.

The MMD candidate, Ozars Siakasasa got 367 while Denias Gumbo of UNIP trailed with 14 votes out of a total of 848 votes cast.10 votes were rejected in the five polling stations from the total votes cast.

The seat fell vacant after the death of UPND councilor, Bernard Mazuba some time this year.

And the voter turn out in the polls in both wards was characterized by apathy in comparison to figures of last year’s presidential by elections.

  1. What does one expect with bribing of chiefs? However if the general elections are held today, the MMD is going to lose the republican presidency. They can celebrate but their happiness will be short lived.

  2. Most Rural Zambians have a poor sense of judgement due to lack of information, but what baffles me most is the fact that “hunger” is never really felt by these people they live for the moment thinking the MMD meali meal will last 5 years!

  3. ANd here we go again….see. The problem is not that we need this and that party to win elections but proper and functioning institutions of governance that will monitor activities of these politicians who normally act in self interest rather than the interest of the masses.

Lets not be cheated….our hope lies in the strength of the people to bring about change and not a political party. We the people must change first our attitudes and begin to be serious in the way we conduct especially our civic duties. Parties will always act the same but if we show that we are serious with who must take us forward they will not mess us about like the do.

  4. He he hehe..this is where you dig into the archives and pull out one of those Zambian classic and great songs and it goes like this.

    SO SO BELENGE MAYOOO
    SO SO BELENGE MAYOOOO

SO BELENGE MA MMD NA BA WINNA MAYOOO
NA BA WINA NE CHIPUNA NASENDA MAYOOO

NGO LE TALIKA SO BELENGE MAYOO

ATI KABILI UBIKEPO NE FIKANSA TULEKWIMYA BY AIRRR

    SO BELENGE MAYOOOO

OK …not really the original but this is the MMD version of Zambia’s great classic soccer anthem from Kitwe

Kasama here we come. Kasama is is the next big one..we are off to do some serious ground work in Kasama while the POST and the PACT waste time with rigging and unfairness talk.

  5. Stop being sole losers and accept defeat. Here you are posting a lot of garbage like #1. Just accept that the people have decided who they want to represent them. It is not up to bloggers blogging insults 24/7 to decide who should represent the people in Chitambo, it is the people in Chitambo who know who they want.

The opposition did not appeal to the people of Chitambo but the ruling did. So stop being sole losers and accept defeat. The people have decided.

    Congratulations MMD.

  6. On: “Vice President George Kunda has launched a victory celebration for the MMD. Mr Kunda commended the Movement for Multiparty Democracy (MMD) for emerging victorious in the just ended Chitambo parliamentary by-elections.” Why cerebrate before the last vote is counted? The constitution says the winner will be declared only after the last vote is counted, but these so called layers are unbalanced and violate the law. Do you remember what these MMD people behaved when Mazaka cerebrated his victory in 2001?

On the other note: congratulations Maestro Hakuchincha on your victory. Please lift the flag of this little known country called Zed. You have done us proud!

  7. This is the time now to demand for what they were promised by Kunda George among them electricity from Lusiwasi, telephone connectivity, class room blocks just to mention a few. I think Gaston Sichilima will live to remember the chitambo election looking at the punches he received from UNIP cadre, Kaiko. For full story and clip of a fight visit postzambia.com

  8. Lets get this. Government’s MAJOR role is to facilitate development through proper policy articulation and implementation. Most of our people dont know that. They have been led to belive that the government must provide food for households, give out fertilizer, provide employment etc and this is far from the truth. They must only facilitate meaning create an enviroment in which these things can be produced which the people must then be able to access. There are many reasons why people maybe hungry and it may not really be because the of the party in power or indeed the government in power.

Lets think guys…if there is drought in one party of the country in a given year chances are that there will be hunger regardless of which party is power.

  9. This result does not reflect the will of the people. See the post and that Minister fighting story. This Musonda contavened the electoral code of conduct by ferrying people to the polling stations. My be they were even voting on the unregistered buses who knows. MMD is a bunch of thieves. Bazchiona mu 2011, we know their tricks now. But the other problem is the PF/UPND pact needs a leader if it is to have a nationwide appeal.

  10. This by-election should have been an opportunity for the pact to present it’s policies to the electorate and to come up with a leader to start preparing for 2011. When will they choose a leader, how long will the choses leader have to consolidate that positon? 2011is around the corner and they need to up their game as the situation on the ground is changing. For example the price of copper is rebounding which favours the ruling party.

  11. Having used our brains…i like what #8 says. Thats a mark of civility and i hope all can learn from him. We do not need to gloat. They have won so next time we want to win lets plan properly and lets have the correct message for the poeple and not just that we ARE THE PACT and we must therefore win. Lets think guys. All the non-sensical talk on radio, TV, and blogs wont bring about what we want. It about being able to take reposibility and acting correctly and in a responsible way. It not about who is throwing the most punches, hurling the most hurtful insults or talking the loudest?? Just check?? Where has it landed us in 45 years?? NO WHERE?? Lets think guys …especially before we talk.

  12. #15….Now that is what we would like to really know??? When and who are the likely leaders of the PACT because the signs do not look good. Theres some bit of truth when George says the PACT is weak and you must listen to what your enemy is saying about you. It appears the PACT would like this to be resolved on its own by the time elctions 2011 come around and this is dangerous strategy. Let them tell us who we should rally around or who we will need to sell becaused theres ample time to sell a candidate now rather than January 2011.

Yes copper price is rebounding and we all know how that worked in Levy’s favour without him having done so much as strip Chiluba’s immunity.

    Lets think guys

  13. Congrats to all the winners for no win is a mean achievement. As for Minister of Justice Vice Presiden George Kunda’s “… the Patriotic Front (PF)-United Party for National Development (UPND) pact as weak“, please continue campaigning for the UPND-PF PACT at that same rate in your government media. Without such a campaign by MMD for the UPND-PF PACT; it would be difficult for the PACT to make headlines in MMD GRZ controlled media.

    Have a blessed day all.

  14. In Zambia villagers decide the outcome of any election in favour of the ruling party, in return for handouts and other corrupt practices. The story will be the same in 2011 now that we have a UNIP type of government.

  15. 9 WE CAN thanks, and greetings, for your “On the other note: congratulations Maestro Hakuchincha on your victory. Please lift the flag of this little known country called Zed. You have done us proud!

On a serious note, my victory was no mean achievement. Actually, I am intending to invite the Zambian Ambassador or some officials from our Embassy nearby to come and join me as I will be representing Zed — our tattered Nation by GRZ mismanagement to the outside world.

I will also continue to do my best for Zambia and hopefully get a Nobel prize. I am out for more thesis work till evening.

Have a blessed day and keep well.

  17. Diaspora bloggers, I beg you please do not insult people in the villages and show arrogance by saying your opinions are the right ones. Any one who aspires to lead people must first respect them and their opinions. The rural people in Chitambo voted for MMD. The same rural people in Muchinka ward in Mansa and those in Kalomo voted for PF and UPND respectvely. Every one has a reason for making the choices they make. For you in the diaspora you have your own reasons. You are frustrated because you want Zambia to look like Australia – just today. So you want to insult every Government of Zambia for your inferiority complex in your foreign country. And you are right. The Villagers have their own reasons different from yours and they are right too.

  18. This is a very bad start for the Pact UPND-PF. How can they lose the by-elections to MMD. I hope there was no rigging. This is a lesson to the pact they have to pull up their BOMBASAS.

  19. 29 INSAKA greetings. Following your “This is a very bad start for the Pact UPND-PF. How can they lose the by-elections to MMD.“, I would like to remind you that ” a bad beginning makes a good ending” as someone put it. What has just happened is no different from the football results where Ghana beat Zambia 4-1. Just acknowledge that sometimes you lose and other times you win and in rare cases you force a draw. All results must be celebrated for they give us impetus to check ourselves and seek to do better.

The UPND-PF PACT needs to go back to the drawing board and remove the issue of supporting by past form.

Have a blessed day and keep well.

  20. The pipo of Chitambo have made their own choice and MMD has carried the day. George was talking of rigging aided by teachers at Reuben Island for PF/UPND. Now that MMD has carried the day did they rig the votes in arears where they were welcome? There was massive campaining by MMD half the cabinet was on the ground doing the …. Its very difficult to win a by election in a ruling party stronghold. Well done Ba George Kunda. Now that the by elections are over its back to work and for the pact please go back to the drawing board and evaluate where things went wrong. No petitions.

  21. 29 INSAKA, following The UPND-PF PACT needs to go back to the drawing board and remove the issue of supporting by past form. PF self-appointed leader MC Sata (Grade 2/6, unknown) must stop choosing candidates personally but follow the majority of his PF supporters — for just look at his party’s leadership which resigned to support the MMD candidate just because they claim they were betrayed by Mr Sata at the PF secretariat.

The PACT needs to start using competition by having primaries first before sponsoring a candidate to compete with the rest of the political parties. This way, it will not be PF in region.

Have a blessed day and keep well.

  22. 29 INSAKA, following This way, it will not be PF in region. Or, indeed UPND in another region. It will be based on competitiveness of candidates from both parties and then the winner would be supported by the PACT and not as one single party that is popular in a region. The earlier this is resolved he better for the PACT.

Even FDD’s president Edith Nawakwi made mention that in Chitambo, the campaigns were not about at the PACT but PF and thus UPND has been overshadowed. Nawakwi even said she thought HH would be better placed to lead the PACT, but the overshadowing of UPND in the PACT is worrying. To me, she is right.

    Have a blessed day all.

But seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all shall be added unto you.

  23. It is God who choose leader you people do n’t insult the you are sining you rebels. The fear is the beging of knowledge.

  24. Nkolewafimofimo. If your pathetic reasoning is anything to go by then the world would not be where it is today. Then again if all is well with you then all is in Zambia. Typical black man thinking!

  25. 29 INSAKA, following To me, she is right. Who knows, she may be planning to ask FDD to support president HH in the 2011 elections by bringing in FDD members.

To the advisers to PF self-appointed leader Sata, please tell him that he needs to do what is to the best interest of Zambians and not his personal gain. What he has done so far of joining PF and UPND into a PACT is good, but the best is to allow competition to override petty personal gain.

Thus, let us not take FDD president NAWAKWI’s words lightly and they have a potential to make the PACT succeed in winning the 2011 elections at all levels overwhelmingly.

    Have a blessed day all.

  26. Yaba anything to go with pamulu apa. Yaba! Well done MMD. You won. Nkolewafimofimo, learn to appreciate that some people cry to see a certain villager going to cast a vote because their chief says so.

  27. And this issue of getting candidates from urban areas to go and stand in the rural areas is the cause of some of these defeats. Its like the PACT got someone from town whom the villagers did not approve of they wanted their own local. YABA TACHIWEME. These guys let them now announce the leader for the PACT because this one is also causing doubts in certain areas.

  28. This pact is toothless, visionless, strategicless, idealess, and above all leaderless despite having two vile and poisonous snapping heads!

  29. They have won and just accept that. Chitambo is an MMD stronghold and when you add the advantages of incumbency MMd was always bound to win. The PACT should treat this as a wake up call for 2011. People need understand the history, demographics and nature of elections and only then will they manage to dislodge the MMD

  30. Oh by the way, Ba Guston Sichilima balibaponona muli public fight bakwete with one cadre, check the post today!!!!

  31. Everything the pact turns it’s head to fails – Siliya, impeachment, by election. In addition, they have not com e up with an alternative social and economic vision of Zambia and can not decide who should lead because the only thing holding them together despite the ethnic rivalry and suspicion is the collective hate they have for Rupiab Bwezani Zambia.

  32. “Twaba wina twaba wina, twaba wina lelooo, twabawina mama twabawina mama lelo.ni the hour ni the hour mama lelo,e ya wina, e ya wina mama lelo..”

  33. If a party can win because of people from rural areas, where people don’t know the truth about them, their corruption, failures etc. then our country is dead. These people are illiterate, not even capable of judging what is right or wrong and yet the party is happy that people have voted for them. What a shame on the party. Intelligent people have no confindence in them, and yet they call themselves politicians.
2011 MMD is going. We, the intelligent people should start talking sense in the heads of villagers (relatives) and stop supporting them finacially. It will work. When they visit, send them to the people they vote for who buy them mealie meal and drive them in government vehicles only during elections. Villagers are really a problem. They can’t see that they are just being…

  34. #40 Ba 3RqU, As for me I do not support any political Party. I support Zambia. I take it you do not support MMD. That is your choice and I am sure you have your reasons. If my thinking is typical black man thinking, then you are right because that is what I am and I make no apologies. If you are white then I can only accuse you of racism but if you are black then I suspect you have an identity crisis. I propose that you see a psychiatrist to attend to your inferiority complex and identity crisis. It is for your own good. Please allow me to greet Maestro. Ba Mwami Maestro, Muli buti?

  35. These villagers are at it again. They have caused so much pain and suffering for us Zambians. Its seems we have a very big problem at hand and an answer has to be found what we are going to do about these villagers always voting for MMD who can not deliver a decent life for us.

  36. The pact should not loose heart, Chitambo was bound to go to MMD, with all the promises made to the rural fox, who wouldn’t vote for MMD # 42 should be objective, You can’t judge the Pact based on one result in an area where the VP comes from and half the cabinet is at to campaing. Bwana don’t just rubish things you don’t understand. the Pact is here to stay.

  37. Ubuntungwa mu Zambia says:
    August 14, 2009 at 11:22 am
People don’t listen. Let them starve to death. Kano kali ku Aussie eating 5 heavy meals per day. I can’t believe this man’s measure of living is having 5 days a meal! Why can’t you eat the 5 meals a day in Zambia? Remember “Man does not live by bread alone” Matthew 4:4. When you are next in Zambia please contact me- I will give you 5 meals a day!

  38. #48 – koma muzinvela ai? Looking down on fellow citizens simply for exercising their democratic rights? In a democracy people have varying interests and will vote accordingly. Rural voters have their own realities which are just are as valid as those of the urban populace. If the pact and their supporters continue to patronise and condenscend the rural citizens, then plot 1 will elude whichever presidential aspirant they eventually choose to represent them.

  39. If going by how The Post has written about one MMD ‘DEPUTY minister in the Office of the Vice-President Gaston Sichilima and a UNIP cadre yesterday fiercely fought until the minister fell and Anti Voter Apathy Project (AVAP) monitors restrained them.’ How then will the opposition win any seat- when a senior leader fights to keep his Party’s seat? This man MUST be made an example by the RB- the buck must certainly stop here!

  40. No matter how much you praise this Victory, it was not genuine, Vote buying was so rampant such that one UNIP cadre wired Guston. Come 2011 MMD is packing, the Pact is coming is in.

  41. This is not the end…..the good part is that the Pact has won all the wards meaning the pact is on the ground. Its important to have control on the grass level. If MMD were strong they would have won at least half of the wards but they have lost all. JUST WAIT FOR KASAMA CENTRAL MMD WILL BE WHIPED BAD.

  42. There is no way the Pact could have won with reported electoral corrupt practices. “Transparency International Zambia says their monitors have observed that the MMD was using over 12 motor vehicles without number plates and they believe these motor vehicles belong to the government. They have also complained about the ruling MMD dishing out materials to the electorate in Chitambo in violation of the Electoral Code of Conduct. “

  43. Kasama central here comes the Pact, lets see what these corupt Govt will try to do. If MMD is strong as they claim, lets see them get Kasama Central. They can’t, they will be wired ten times over and then you will start to respect the Pact.

  44. # 64, no one has said anything about vote rigging, we say electoral malpractice, Using govt vehicles grading roads, thats malpractice

  45. #66 – PF winning Kasama would not surprise anybody as Kasama is a PF stronghold. Though if voters are going to consider the alleged non-performance of Chishimba that might also be in doubt. For the pact to be seen to be making headway, they have to overturn seats like Chitambo that have traditionally been MMD. If they dont, how then will they form the next govt? According to some bloggers here at LT, Zambia is in ‘chaos’ or being run ‘on atuo-pilot’. Surely, if the pact was seen as a credible alternative, then they should have won Chitambo? Mid-term by-elections can tend to be used by voters to send a message of protest to the ruling party, this did not happen. This development must be worrying for the strategic thinkers of the pact if they have any.

  46. #59 Mark Brown somehow you are right about this guy Sichilima. The man is a hero he was fighting for his party ba MMD should not even laugh at him. This is how tough the political arena has turned out to be. Mu 2011 kukakisha imishipi mumusana pantu ikaba ni total war yakuwina abaume.

  47. #53, Ba 3RqU, Please allow me to give you some little advice about politics. If you get too emtionally invoved, you end up as a cadre. Do keep some distance, will you. Again for your own good.

  48. 51 NKOLE WA MAPEMBWE UMFWE MILANDU greetings and thanks for everything.

Mebo ndili buyo kabotu nokuba kuti ndieledde kupa thesis report yangu a 17:00 hrs sharp. Nkabela, kamupona cibotu alimwi Leza aamuleleke basa.

By the way, I like your comment on identity crises. You know what, the characters showering insults are our fellow villagers forget that on their NRCs and subsequently Passports, it is clearly indicated that they come from some village and hence they are villagers. I can only understand for those that are not Zambian Citizens unless someone gives me a new definition of a villager which shows that he is not one.

    Have a blessed day all.

  49. Well done pact, the difference is low compared to 2006,lets wait for Kasama Central and see if number 45 Tikambeko will continue to rant the way he is togather with his relative Kunda

  50. Ba Thunderbolt,
That is why this pact can’t succeed. Its can only win in certain areas. Why only Kasama? Tribal politics where a bemba whats to vote for another bemba.
    Rubbish

  51. # 67, At least you have admitted that it will be a tall order for MMD to retain Kasama Central, as for Chitambo the same principal applies, Thats MMD strong hold and the Pact winning was almost nil. One thing I can assure you is the magin of the lose has almost halved so the overall picture is that the Pact has had an inroad in an MMD strong hold, These magins will continue to shrink. One fact is clear, the Pact combine has more support than MMD, so the MMD should get worried, they are already behind.

  52. # 72 in case you are not aware the next elections are in Kasama Central, It has nothing to do with tribe but a fact, The Pact is not only for bembas, it’s everywhere. I thought in this IT age people like you would understand that tribal politics don’t apply.

  53. The Post has published photographs of the Deputy Minister in the Office of the Vice President exchanging blows with a UNIP cadre. Shame! Madalas engaged in a fight! What example are they showing to the young people. 45 years after independence we are still physically fighting over votes! The President should fire the deputy minister immediately for he has brought the office into disrepute!

  54. #1 will be eating your five heavy meals kwaila nothing else! what a pity! you go to work for another country just to eat meals while us back home are investing heavily in developing our selves and our country. people know what they want so leave them alone. and who told you that they are starving anyway?

  55. Ba Sata # 77 nichani chamene mukamba, No one can be proud of a victory which was full of malpractice. Tukamimona mu 2011. By the way you are not fit to use that name, pliz change it now to Teta.

  56. Stop insulting villagers and face reality. Villagers differentiate reality from utopia and madness thinking. It is here in the urban areas were we are told more money in our pockets and more houses in 90 days and we say yeah yeah. The villager knows how long it takes ukutama ama bricks and all that goes with building. The PACT had no issues to sell to the populace in Chitambo. Chitambo people may not like MMD but they looked at the alternative which did not make sense and said better boreholes near our villages than this PACT which has no leader and all it is talking about is corruption and what the MMD has not done. Talk about what you intend to do for Chitambo people. Congrats MMD. Wake up PACT you have a bad combination interms of leadership.

  57. The real problem for the PACT is what will happen in Northern and Luapula Provinces when HH is selected as the Presidential candidate for the Pact instead of Sata or inversely, what will happen on the ground in Southern Province if Sata is selected as Presidential candidate for the Pact instead of HH. This is a frightening question for the PACT. They do not want to confront it now and I don’t know when they would like to know the answer. I also don’t know the answer to this million dollar question, but I know that MMD is also intrested in the answer.

  58. Akaku Oz, No1, please dont embarass us again by your terrible eating habits. Ukafwa na cholesterol, i think you are already quite obese.

  59. # 85 and 86, let me tell you something, The Pact has no problems on who will lead it, wheather Sata or HH, it dosen’t matter. what matters is that a united front, an opposition with a combined clear majority will be standing aganist the MMD. (it must be frighteninng for the MMD) so which ever candidate is picked, he will have the support of both parties.

  60. #88 – Carry on dreaming my friend. This pact is already on its knees. Nkole is right. People need to get used to the new leader otherwise it is too late. So far the pact has proved to be toothless. I am still surprised people still have faith in the non-venomous cobra and prince charming after they made such a lot of noise and nothing more about impeaching Banda. You cant organise yourselves strategically but people still have faih in you and yet those same supporters are calling villagers ‘ignorant’!

  61. I have always taken MAESTRO as a level headed ,umpire type of blogger…..well i guess i was wrong. I respect your biased opinion though.

  62. Ba MMD mwiponta sana just wait the Chitambo win should not deceive you. What has just happened is an eye-opener for the PACT infact they are even going to be more organised and aggressive in their approach when selling their manifesto. If MMD still remains in power after 2011 its better we stop voting and declare a one part state like in the times of KK.

  63. Wooow…. Stephen Chenda for the Muchinka ward … I was in grade 8 thru 12 with this gentleman at Samfya Secondary School 1985 to 1989… wooow… how things turn out. He was a nutural leader he was class monitor and prefect thru out … congrats Steve. Good job dude..
    Hector KC, Seattle, Washington

  64. We have seen, heard fom chitambo area that politics is not kantemba. You can not to choose pact which has no leader. The system pact are using is bound to fail. The problem of the president should be sorted out sooner or later. Even me I can not vote a party without a president. I hope they will understand this very serious issue. if not forget about forming a government in 2011. see you later.

  65. This country is doomed, not just because of MMD but also because of the poor opposition. The MMD have Vernon Mwaanga, who knows how to win elections. The opposition have no one except a clown (Sata) and an ego maniac (HH). Between them, the oppostion have no strategy. They think that winning elections is only about having big rallies. They need stategists who can ensure that opposition party activists and potential voters can actually vote.
