A Faz technicial team has just completed three-day inspection tour of facilities in Algeria ahead of Zambia’s 2010 World/Africa Cup Group C away game against the Desert Foxes on September 6.
The two-member team comprising of Faz vice president Emmanuel Munaile and executive committee member Henshel Chitembeya left on Saturday and are due back today.
According to Algerian sports daily Le Buteur, the duo inspected hotel’s , the match venue in Blider and prospective training facilities.
Meanwhile, Zambia began training camp in Lusaka today and held their first day session at LICEF school grounds this morning with all but two home-based call-ups in attendance.
Missing were the Zesco duo of Hichani Himoonde and Jonas Sakuwaha.
Sakuwaha is scheduled to leave for a medical at French Ligue 1 side Lorient by Friday and coach Herve Renard has been replace the midfielder with City of Lusaka winger Morgan Kaoma.
However, Renard is still awaiting Himoonde in camp.
