Zesco United’s Caf African Champions League Group A match against El Merreikh of Sudan will be played on Sunday, August 30.
The match, to be played at Nkoloma Stadium in Lusaka, will take place on Sunday instead of the traditional local match day of Saturday.
This is because of a Faz Premier Division Week 21 doubleheader that will be played at Nkoloma on Saturday that will be televised on the SuperSport TV satellite channel.
The Nkoloma doubleheader will see Zanaco face Green Buffaloes away while Young Arrows host City of Lusaka.
Meanwhile, Zesco’s match against El Merreikh will kickoff at 14:00 as in all previous Group A matches that were played by the club at Konkola Stadium in Chililabombwe.
El Merreikh, who are bottom of Group A with 1 points from three games, are scheduled to arrive in the country on Thursday at Lusaka International Airport at 11:00.
Zesco are currently second in Group A on 4 points level with third placed Kano Pillars of Nigeria while Sudanese club Al Hilal lead the pool on 7 points from three matches played.
Al Hilal will be away on the same date to face Pillars in Kano.

# 1, Zesco are in La Liga. At the Moment Occuping position 2.
#1 is ok blame the confusion on the article writer who provided no break (logic and flow) between paragraph one to three. The writer presents the report as if the Champoions league game is part of the premier league games whose normal day of play is saturday… anyone to help… pliz !!
# 1, if you read bbc sport Africa you would know that Zesco is in the group stage of the African champions league. You live in Britain yet you do not follow bbc. You must be one of those “kaponyas” who were lucky to get a British visa.
Some one asked a question just answer plz mwe bantu. He wants to know but you all busy teling the guy off.
#1, Zesco United is in the Zambian Premier League. Stay focused and updated on your local league, not just the English premier league. We know you are kuma “ngalande”, however, you are still Zambian so make an effort. You are embarrassing me…Go Zesco, good luck and bring back some pride in our game…unlike that disaster against Ghana some days back…
Ba Kunda u also want to join that …. u shud hav ansd him. The Bible does not keep room for lazyness, the guy is just lazy….no: 1
go!! zesco go!!, we are all behind you and hope you will bring glory to zambia in this week-end’s game. ciao.
