The Forum for Leadership Search-Zambia has called on Republican President Mr. Rupiah Banda not to hesitate to discipline or fire irresponsible Ministers that do not add value to his vision.
Organisation Executive Director Edwin Lifwekelo, told ZANIS in a statement today that people who do not agree with the President Banda’s style of leadership should resign from both government and the party instead of frustrating his administration.
Reacting to sentiments expressed by Science and Technology Minister Gabriel Namulambe and former Defence Minister George Mpombo that people in Lambaland felt injured and frustrated by constant attacks on the legacy of late President Mwanawasa, Mr. Lifwekelo said those that are sad that the Lamba‘s are not receiving any more favors from the MMD and government should quit instead of causing ‘confusion’ in the party.
Meanwhile Mr. Lifwekelo has said there is need for the media to play a responsible role in the democratic process in the country.
He said the media should consider striking a balance between rights and responsibilities instead of encouraging hostilities in the country.
Mr. Lifwekelo said simple tests for responsibility on the part of the media are their accuracy in reporting and their ability to offer a broad range of representative views.

The forum for leadership what? what in the world is going on in Zambia. it seems there are clowns springing from everywhere.
this chap is just a cadre..he conned Maureen Mwanawass and now he’s siding with RB..Edwin cifewakale..whatever ur chi najme is..u dont speak for the youth but ur selfish bald head!
The problem in Zambia is if you want a job you simply go to the gutter press and denounce people,we have a gorilla in the room and want to ignore it,if RB is mis-managing the country, don’t members of his party have all the right to critique him?since when did we now go back to UNIP times?we will oppose him within the party, until they do right Namulambe is right but if it means being kicked out for telling the truth, then fine a whole lot of people are going to move with him,Zambians have a tendency of hiding from the truth…
Anybody with data on the number of international visits undertaken by President Banda in the past 14 months please?? Our president is rarely in the country, but how do you expect such a leader to keep checks and balances. I bet apart from the Lusaka International Airport, he does not even know where the new Soweto market is located because his interest is elsewhere. I guess, he can make a very good minister in the ministry of tourism.
what a time waster! I hope RB listens and carries out this hopeless advice. the truth is – RB is a weak leader with NO VISION for the country. I salute the pipo of KASAMA and SOLWEZI – we desperately need the checks and balances. VIVA Mpombo for the courage to resign and speak-out; Mpombo could easily have kept quiet and been a bootlicker like you lifwekelo!!
Leadership and Lifwekelo should not be used in the same sentence. This guy is just a twit.
Rupiah needs to fire Mpombo and Namulambe for indiscipline. Chiluba presided over NEC when the lates Arthur Wina, Emmanuel Kasonde and Humphrey Mulemba were expelled. Rupiah must show himself a man by firing these two and recall all lamba diplomats.
Zed is full of rubbish…fulstop
Forum for foolish Leadership! i wonder, does anyone listen this chap other than RB who pays them to issue senseless statements? Your RB knows his fate if dares to touch Mpombo and Namulambe.
There are too many people who think MMD can just expell everyone with divergent views and still hoodwink people into voting for them in 2011. Time will tell.
Who is this Lifyekelo, Lofwekelo, Lifikelo or whatever he is called????????
Lifwekolo is MMD cader who even attended the Akashambatwa-MMD strategy meting were they denounced the Litunga. According to their strategy to build RB, Lifekelo will be issuing out statements to denounce Zambians in order to build RB. Its really so sorry that our country has gone to such d.ull people like RB and Lifwekelo.
Can’t discipline them. You are the one to be disciplined Lufwe…. fwakuti!!! Atase!
Regardless of the identity of Mr. Lifwekelo, his statement is important. RB needs to start showing leadership by taking action. The tribal statements made by these politicians are very serious and need to be nipped in the bud. It doesn’t matter who is in power, Zambians must reject any tribal politics. Catastrophic events in other countries have started by careless tribal statements by dull politicians that have ended up being amplified by irresponsible media. As long as some sectors of society start exalting tribalists, we are en route to polarization in the country and soon it will be too late. RB needs to show leadership – now is time to put his a.. down and address serious national issues. In a situation like ours, I think bloggers need to analyze Mr. Lifwekelo’s statement and not…
Where do they all craw out from. Zambia is infested with bootlickers, wonder why batidelela naba mwenye, some zambians are too docile lol. It is about time we the new generation took the fight like our freedom fighters.
By that I mean we need to start working hard aswell. Too many Zambians are lazy and that is a fact, too many alcoholics; Laws and a strong leader is what we shall need.
Take this not as an insult but as reality, Black people need to be proud of Jesus and the blessing he gave us. Africa is the most blessed continent on Earth, no major disasters but human errors. Let us reawake, and love still work hard and grow.
However, you look at it, to make the point and speak for a tribe in the manner Namulambe and Mpombo are doing is irresponsible and neither the lambas nor Zambia needs such leaders with a questionable brain. I sincerely hope this is not a revelation of Levy’s out look on issues.Utterly lacking the ability to see issues in their correct perspective and appreciating the fact that individual survival is inferior to community good or in this case the good of the tribe. I have always believed Mr. Banda is a wiseman who needs support and less distructors. I salute him for giving Namulambe more rope to hang himself. Your excellence I thing time has come to get rid of this irresponsible directionless failed politician. I wish you plent wisdom and I encourage you not to loose focus.
The name ‘ forum for leadership search’ implies , to all intents and purposes , that this is an independent organisation free from any political influence. The statement by it’s executive director does not appear to be an independent one.
What is the value of such a forum anyway ?..How is it funded?..,,Maybe it’s a recruitment agency and i just don’t understand the terminology the Zambian way.. 🙂
When Banda is busy tring to extinguish the fire that his other cadre Aka has sparked in Western Province by mentioning the Litunga at a kangaroo court he convened with his servant Mwaanga, another cadre named Lifewkelo is busy trying to spark another inferno in Lambaland. I do not envy Kanitundila’s position, it is very precarious sure. No wonder, instead of resolving the Western rangles, the rascal is gone game viewing and poaching. This is national agony, true sure!
Namulambe and all those supporting his sentiments are the typical tribalists and the earlier they get rebuked by the powers that be the better. If RB is not tribalist then he should not worst time to rebuke his minister for issuing such non.sense in public. It’s not surprising that the majority of bloggers here are busy supporting Namulambe’s fo.olish statement because their minds are all controlled by Mmembe’s opinion. In as far as Mmembe is concerned WHOEVER appears to be ‘anti-RB’ then such a one becomes his friend by default regardless of such a person’s track record. We need strong private media houses run by principled and morally upright people and not characters with questionable agendas.
This boy is job hunting and he will never get it
Lifwekelo is a conman period, an he can only con people like Nyama Soya. However, I do agree with the sentiments that Namulambe has brought to the fore but I feel we should not dwell too much on tribe. its not only the Lambas who reside in Lamba land who are tired with Nyamasoya its actually the whole country. to regionalise or cristalise the frustration over Nyamasoya’s kind of leadership to a particular tribe is note in itself fair. I am Lozi in Lambaland and I feel frustrated by Nyamasoya’s kind of leadership, there fore I should be included as one of those persons that are Mad with NYAMASOYA INSPITE OF NOT BEING A LAMBA.
NYAMASOYA’S TIME IS UP. WE NOW NEED A BALANCED DIET. NOT NYAMASOYA FOR BREAKFAST, LUNCH, SUPPER AND DINNER
The comments by Hon. Namulambe are sowing seeds of divisions in the nation as whole. There are a lot of non Lambas who are settled in lambaland. The Hon had nothing worth to talk about. Leaders should look beyond tribe and those who not ready to lead by example should resign from their public positions. When Gabriel said he will not resign his cabinet position so that he can fight within. Are there any fights in Cabinet? The gentleman has got a problem with the leadership style of RB. If he is behaving like he is still serving under the regime of Levy then its unfortunate the man has failed to adapt to RB regime. Mwisho realign yourself or else you will be kicked out of the train.
Kolwefile or watevr the name. This name only comes up during or before elections. Issuing statements in favour of the party which has been ruling for the last 20 years or so. As much as there is a threat on tribal remarks, the chaos is stating from the Head of state in his appointments and the way he is managing the affairs of the nation. ZESCO Optic Fibre being part of Zamtel how??. Had it not been for the first ladies meeting or watever he opted to send George to Trinidad & Tobago.
# 4 Ichalo lifupa, mind you Imbwa ilapwa ifupa!!!!
Lifwekelo! Lifwekekelo who? This guy obviously lives in the dark ages when people thought leaders could do no wrong. It is fellows like him we do not need. This guy and those who share his opinion must give way to those who have vision to develop Zambia. You cannot have development without divergent views.
