MMD acting spokesperson Mike Mulongoti says Patriotic Front (PF) president Michael Sata should be ashamed to demand the removal of Mr Mchenga when he is a beneficiary of his services.
Mr Mulongoti said a number of Mr Sata’s cases have in the past been dropped by the DPP.
He said this in an interview in Lusaka yesterday in reaction to continued calls for the DPP to resign.
“The DPP has exercised his independent discretion to drop cases in the past and Mr Sata himself has been a beneficiary. How can he (Sata) forget easily and start accusing Mr Mchenga of being biased when he has used his mandate to set him (Sata) free.
“These same constitutional office holders whom the opposition and in particular Mr Sata is accusing of all sorts of things will be there if they, God forbid, find themselves in Government. They should not look at us as evil people,” he said.
Mr Mulongoti said the opposition should desist from intimidating professionals like Mr Mchenga because they might in future shun taking up positions in Government.
He said professionals should be protected and allowed to safeguard the interests of all Zambians.
“Some of the people calling for the resignation of the DPP are not even educated, yet they want our professionals to resign. My question to them is if professionals resign, who is going to replace them?[quote]
“You see, we should appreciate these professionals because if we try to give flimsy excuses in an effort to chase them from their offices, they might in future refuse to join Government service due to the politics surrounding the positions,” Mr Mulongoti said.
On Sunday, Mr Kunda said the accusations against constitutional office holders by the opposition are in an effort to weaken Government.
He said the scheme to remove constitutional office holders is against the penal code and that it is a treasonable act.
Mr Kunda said this when he featured on a Radio Phoenix programme, ‘Government and You’.
He said Government will not allow the scheme to work because it is recipe for anarchy in the country.
Mr Kunda said constitutional office holders can only be removed through a tribunal.
Here we go again with this mouth piece Mikaeli Mulongoti
Meanwhile, Mr Banda is tomorrow expected to travel to Eastern Province where he will officially open a technical and vocational college in Chipata before flagging off the construction of Chipata-Mfuwe Road.
Mr Banda will spend his Christmas in Mfuwe where he is expected to hold meetings with various groups on a number of national issues.
[Times of Zambia
I wish RB can take Mulongoti with him to Mfuwe so that we are spared this man does not engage his brain before opening his mouth
I don’t like Mulongoti’s face especially when he is talking nonsense.
This man is slowly getting demented,if the DPP drops a case its not because he is doing the accused a favour, its because there’snt enough grounds or evidence to prosecute,it is not his independent descretion iwe star newyoko.there are a lot of prefessionals out there who can do this same job, whats so spacial about being a DPP,,,aka ka sheet keve kalibe nzelu, elo nikapingila aka, sebana wikute
Mulongoti will be the first one to ask for a job when RB is out of GRZ
Are u sure ka mulongoti your main interest is to protect professionals in government,or u are only interested in bootlickers doing your dirt work as government and those are the ones you call professional. On one hand you kick out the AG from public office who is a lawyer and on the other you defend the DPP.Even a blind person can smell a rat here because you are being inconsistent.Treat all proffessionals alike, and stop poking your nose into the operations of the judiciary ,especially ka george kunda then people will have nothing to talk about.
You should also be ashamed of yourself trying to separate HH and Sata. My dear if you haven’t built a home so far, get ready to be my tenant in chibolya compound in a small round home but you will be sleepingi the corner
The challenge of this PACT’s marriage of convenience to nowhere is lack of mature, rational and critical thinking leadership. They are mop rags of the embatled Agenda tabloid.Their hallucinations are without legal basis and rational plot. Its a circus of hallucinations.
Thanx spot on!
THE widening policy chasm in the Patriotic Front and United Party for National Development (PF-UPND) pact makes it difficult to understand how this alliance can be sustained.
What makes the differences glaring is that they revolve on two crucial aspects of governance – politics and economics.
While the UPND has in the past held conventions to elect executive members, the PF has never done so, nor has it indicated its intentions of when it will do so.
This is a remarkable difference in approach to governance by two parties whose policies are supposed to dovetail into each other instead of being radically opposed.
It would be interesting to see how the pact partners reconcile these different positions, especially when it comes to matters such as choosing who leads the grouping in the 2011 elections.
As if this polarisation were not enough, serious policy disharmony on economic issues exists between the PF and the UPND.
While the PF clings tenaciously to the view that Chinese investment is bad, the UPND recognises China’s global clout as a leading investment powerhouse.
PF president Michael Sata restated his party’s stance last Wednesday during a Voice of America programme during which he summed up Chinese investment in Africa as being similar to a horse-and-rider relationship. According to Mr Sata, Africa is the horse that endures pain while the “Chinaman” is the one enjoying the ride.
On the other hand, the UPND says it sees nothing wrong with Chinese investment because many other countries apart from Zambia had also benefited from such programmes.
China’s growing economic stature on the international investment landscape is a widely acknowledged feat even in the western world where several countries are also clamouring for strategic partnerships with Beijing.
The world today is increasingly shrinking into a global village and those countries which want to remain in splendid isolation can only do so at their own peril.
Certainly, Zambia should not be one of those countries which should contrive to stay aloof and not be part of a dynamic global movement seeking to improve people’s economic and social welfare.
In any case, Zambia’s economic relationship with China did not start yesterday – neither will it end tomorrow. Never mind the cliché, but China has continued to be Zambia’s all-weather friend from the pre-independence era to date.
After western countries refused to help Zambia build a railway line to improve its access to the sea, China came to the rescue and constructed TAZARA, which today stands out as a living embodiment of a true economic partnership which cannot be remotely termed as a horse-and-rider relationship.
Space does not permit a catalogue of other examples of Chinese aid which is usually offered without strings attached. Suffice to say that contrary to Mr Sata’s assertions that the Chinese come with nothing but leave with everything, it would be difficult for one not to notice Chinese infrastructural development such as mines, roads and bridges.
Only tomorrow, Luanshya Copper Mines, which had been given up for dead, is officially being reopened thanks to Chinese investors. This is not to mention the billions already invested in the Chambishi Multi-Economic Facility Zone and the ones to be established in Lusaka.
These projects, and several others, are an authoritative pointer to the virtues of Chinese investment. If such employment and wealth creation avenues can be frowned upon, the PF and others opposed would do well to suggest viable alternatives to fight poverty.
As a whole, the pact should clearly state its position on Chinese investment because the mixed messages are contradictory. If the pact cannot gel on such fundamental issues, its compatibility is in doubt and vindicates those who think this is just a marriage of convenience. The question is how long will it last?
Ignore or dismise the hollow hallucinations of a PACT to nowhere merely hallunating for own public political posture. Its all hallucination to nowhere.Join RB in the exponential development of Zambia than burning in vanity politics of perennial sore losers of titular parties.
“Some of the people calling for the resignation of the DPP are not even educated, yet they want our professionals to resign. My question to them is if professionals resign, who is going to replace them?
Hahaha! Eliterates chaing accomplished professionals.
On
“Some of the people calling for the resignation of the DPP are not even educated, yet they want our professionals to resign…”
Point of clarification, who is he referring to as “not educated”? Could it be Sata?
As usual, can’t some people just shut up?Why should the DPP keep a case in court when there is no evidence? He was doing his job and not a favour to Sata.Farai should go as he has failed in his duties.am sure RB will send him in the foreign service after
Mr. Veteran sir, have you ever considered writing a book? That way, you would not have to take up so much data space here and whoever wants to read your long political theses would buy it. As for me, I would definately bin it. LOL.
We know that you have a lot to say but for the sake of please try to be brief and to the point. Thank you, sir.
Otherwise, it is quite interesting to notice the growing number of attacks against Mr. Sata as elections draw closer.. could it be somewhat of an alliance of defiance to make him stronger?
#20…. using you own words, can’t somepeople just shut up?
When the DPP discontinues a case against Sata, the people say he is being professional, unbiased and not doing a favour for Sata. However, when the same DPP decides to discontinue a case against FTJ, the same people turn around and say that the DPP is being unprofessional, corrupt, biased and a puppet for the government.
Let’s not execrcise double standards to suit our personal agendas and political ambitions.
Veteran has a problem! Once again, the story is on Mulongoti, ena alebosa pali pact! Whats his problem? As for him writing a book, No book store worth its salt can allow it to be displayed, let alone sold in it! Stick to the topic daddy.
Ba Moze please tipaseniko data. Why is Chiluba suddenly very quite? Even his boy Mwamba is also quite
Why are .they quiet?its a polical manouvre
Veteran, I’m about to go to the loo. Would you mind coming to clean me up as you seem to have nothing to do…….
Who pays this veteran to write all this rubbish that he posts on the web.Zambia will not be developed by rhetoric and empty speeches. The record for RB and his accomplishments is there for everyone to see total failure wherever he has been. The record for Sata is also there for people to see.If i might ask talking out educational, how educated was Kaunda when he became president,or FTJ when he became president. You dont need education to lead an african country all you need is charisma truth be told.So lets not cheat ourselves that only educated people can bring development to africa. You just need to know what you are doing and what you what to achieve.Even an iliterate farmer in monze west or shangombo knows how to set targets and objectives for their farms, and achieve those at the end.
Why is logic so difficult with people like Mulongoti? If one Sata case was dropped by DPP, why should it mean that everybody else whose case gets dropped had their cases dropped fairly?
Ba veteran bena amano tamwaba tamwaba, he always goes contrary to the topic
Veteran is a computer virus thats seems to spam all our blogs by spilling the equivalent of pornographic language.
Guys guys guys! Napapata!!!!! How I really wish we could re-boot Zed and start afresh. Thrash into a bin all these recycled politicians who have nothing to offer except bashing each other publicly day in and day out – . VP Kunda accuses M’mebe; Molongoti bashes sata; Chizyuka vs Sata… RB lashes out at this one …. this one insults the other ….. and so on and so on – Nensoni tabakwata
Seriously our leaders lack SELF RESPECT, DIGNITY AND PRIDE.
I really fail to understand just how an entire leader would stand on any forum or Radio programme and start bad-mouthing another. Don’t they have constructive things to talk about or can’t they talk about anything without insulting someone.
Tulefwaya kumatwi tondooooooolo please. Napapata.
Tiger Woods, FTJ alipa strategy! He’s the one pulling the strings mu MMD right now. The chaps are busy in the night. Taule dabwa ati ba Mpombo is now talking reconciliation? Next thing he will be reapointed to cabinet. Watch this space!
Back to the topic, i have one question for The DEC: Is it now allowed to take illegal substances that cause serious halucinations and uttering incoherent things?
So Mulongoti thinks he is educated! An educated person thinks and uses his brains before he opens his mouth and certainly this is not one of Mulongoti’s virtues. He is just desperate to keep his job by bootlicking. I don’t know what some of these puppets will be doing after 2011.
Mulongoti stop making noise, just go and check SABINA – MUFULIRA Road and do something about it. Its pathetic. For sure if SATA was presido, he could have done something about, not ci RB.
The deficiency of logic in Mulongoti’s reasoning has struck the lunatic level. On Chiluba, he claimed the government cannot imprison him because it will be too costly so some people can go to jail while others cannot. Now he claims Sata should not call for the sacking of Mchenga because he has also benefited from Mchenga dropping his cases in the past. Sad indeed, even my 12 year old niece can see the snobbery characterising such line of thinking. With ministers like these, no wonder Zambia is in a permanent state of paralysis. Every time Mulongoti, Shikapwasha, Banda or Tetamashimba open their mouths, one has to hold their breath. This is the kind of embarrassment these monkeys are subjecting us on the international scene, everyday. You should hear Ms Vera Chiluba explain the “Tokyo”…
Accord, you will feel like crying. Banda himself is a very sad case, one wonders how an educated man can be so dull. He is as old as my old man ka Elias Chipimo but they are clearly from different planets. I dont know, even in our parliament, the only person who seems to speak sence in that chap called Milupi, the rest are just dunderheads going there to sleep in parliament during debates or “chew” whores at parliamene motel. Also, just the number of them afflicted with dangerous incurable diseases, ha! Now morningside has no cure, they are lining up to go to India to drink Mahatma Gandhi’s “body processed” H2O thinking it will give them their hearts and immunity back.
“he is a beneficiary of his services” this is the thinkin of this so called minister. shame!
his thinkin is so shallow.
better shut up than make noise.
D.P.P has to be dropped, If Mulongoti is saying that Sata should not comment because D.P.P has in the past dropped his cases, then it means uyu muntu is not a professional, he’s merely does favours for people.
Imwe ba Veteran,
you should understand the calibre of Chinese who are in Zambia read below
Northern Province Minister John Chinyanta has expressed disappointment at the poor workmanship on the construction of a boarding High School in Mpulungu by a Chinese contractor.
Mr. Chinyanta said it was unacceptable for government to spend K28 billion to construct a school of poor standard.
He urged the Chinese contractor Hua Jiang to improve the workmanship on the school project or risk government terminating the contract.
Mr. Chinyanta said while people in Mpulungu were excited with the construction of the Boarding High School in their District, the performance by the contractor on the project was not satisfactory.
The Minister charged that he would not tolerate misuse of public…
Let him talk cause he is towards the end
He said professionals should be protected and allowed to safeguard the interests of all Zambians.“Some of the people calling for the resignation of the DPP are not even educated, yet they want our professionals to resign. My question to them is if professionals resign, who is going to replace them? Right on spot sir,we shall not allow uneducated people to mislead Us.SATA AND HIS PUPPETS CAN GO TO HELL.If a man neglects education, he walks lame to the end of his life, though they say “It is a miracle that curiosity survives formal education.”,at least let him go back to night school to help him get some manners.sata should remember that formal education will make him a living; self-education will make him a fortune.
But still more ka mulongoti also remember that nature has always had more power than education. To repeat what others have said, requires education, to challenge it, requires brains.Personally I think Sata is better off than you Mulongti and your MMD CREW.Education can’t make us all leaders, but it can teach us which leader to follow.
Aaaaaaaaaaawe!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Twanaka…………. talema na vokamba kamba, vamene vilibe na vision yo fendeza ziko latu la Zambia. #5- Well said Archie, manje ma superlatives……… iyai! Nayopa… B.W.E.Z…… talk about stuff that you have the intellect to grasp. Napapata….. Ndagomba……. pleeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaase
#41 & #42- Ghost dog na ba Mulongoti banu, ti uzenikoni, nanga education ni chani????????? Perhaps you are not alive to the fact that kuli being SCHOOLED & educated, either by nature or nurture. It would do you good to know the education background of our Kafupi & SA’s leader, Presidua Zuma “Shower”. Nanga ise bamene banankala na ma PHD, M.A., M.Sc., B.A. & B.Sc or even diplomas & certificates ya honorary or via distance learning na pa net, it seems to me that you will find it difficult kuti pasa ulemu…..
Does Mmembe seriously expect people to believe that the Post has Zambian’s interest at heart?
Mr Mulongoti & others that think like you:
When you get a (silent) degree (on compassionate grounds) from campus, you then begin to insult the rest of us.
DO THE CHANTS OF “CHIKOPO CHIKOPO” RING A BELL?????????
We were there……..
Now, folks, this is government admission that the government, through its DPP, has sheltered and protected suspects from prosecution. Mr. Mlongoti, can we know what crimes stone-thrower Sata is alleged to have committed and for which he enjoyed the DPP “services”? You guys are really playing big games at our expense, aren’t you? Just like you’re doing Chief Criminal Kafupi of Zaire.
Ace Sea what flag is that?Is Malawi or botswana?
Ace Sea what flag is that?Is it Malawi or botswana?
Ace Sea,. Education is the process of learning which is geared torwards the acquisition of skills, knowlegde and attitude for the benefit of the individual and nation as a whole.Education must bring about rapid socio-economic development and an educated person must be of benefit to his society and nation as a whole.Schooling on the other hand is a means to education. If a person after going to school ,uses his acquired skills and knowlegde to benefit the society or nation that person is said to be educated. But if a person is of no benefit after going to school then that person is said to have undergo schooling.
Makes sad reading and very infuriating.. and Mulongoti is surprised MMD’s lost touch with the “uneducated” grass roots, who have employed him and are in the majority. How can he be so insensitive? Zambia is beset with problems. We are poor underdeveloped, ravaged by uneducation, literacy, HIV/Malaria, poor sanitation + MMD. We educated people, I assume Mulongoti is one, should endeavor to support education and learnign at all levels and not torture people with “I’m better than you” or “you cannot tell me anything”. I mean where was his bright educated but when CHAT & GBM were thinking hard and splitting their amassing Millions of Dollars? Knowledge is not the possession of the few but the aggregation of the experiences and thoughts of everyone.
Hope you catch the difference, only a few of us are so educated, thats the reason we cant come to Zed,a nation full of the schooled, who sit in offices doing nothing, being paid for puffing in offices, only waiting for lunch and knock off time…learn ya lessons b.a.s.t.a.r.d.s
It really a pity we have such low thinking leaders in Zambia! If the DPP drops a case against a citizen, does it really mean he has done someone a favor? The people are asking for the resignation of the DPP because his office has been compromised by the executive hence ka Mike must think and understand why people are calling for DPP’s resignation. He maybe a professional but he has let the executive to compromise his profession. Therefore such office does not require to be held by a person who can be influenced by the appointing authority. Such problem will never come to an end in Zambia for as long as the DPP is appointed by the president.
Damn, some niggaz act so bensy…..runnin ya mouth on gz’s like us,damn that aint so clever

Pipo like you (together with Mr & Mrs Capitalist, MMD chief bootlicker) have become totally irrelevant as far as blogging on this site is concerned. You are always offside. It’s disheartening to see that a simple and straight forward topic like one above can prove to be an offside trap for you. If you do not have anything sensible to write, keep your fingers away from the keyboard sir.
Viva ## 57. sound reasoning!!!!
Ghost Dog! Just continue changing diapers where you are other than insulting people back home who are contributing to the betterment of the nation. Why should I be in a place where i am degraded to mutoba mbala or diaper.com when I can be a professional back home. Alot of us are educated more than you back here. However they are those out there with good jobs and they will not speak the way you do. Mind your language!

“When my late brother late president Mwanawasa brought me from my village to be his Vice-President he told me that he knew that one day I will be able to succeed him, and I am very proud that he always better advised me,” said President Banda who was accompanied by Vice-President George Kunda and Dr Kenneth Kaunda.
He said it was important to include Vice-President Kunda in his entourage to Luanshya to witness the celebrations on the production resumption of Luanshya mines because he was born and bred in Luanshya.
He said Vice-President Kunda was a role model of the young people of Luanshya and urged them to work hard at school so that they could one day head such high offices.
President Banda described himself as a servant of the people
President Banda said former president Dr Kenneth Kaunda taught him how to serve people and this was why he did not address him as Dr but Professor.
He urged the Cabinet ministers and other government workers to serve selflessly, saying leaders who worked to serve their own personal egos would not last long.
“We are there to work for the people not to be thinking about our personal egos, that is failed leadership,” he said.
WAVELA IWE CHI MPOMBO
Chinese Ambassador Li Qiangmin said Chinese investments were not only well received and extensively recognized by all African governments and peoples on the continent, but also applauded by the well-informed and well-traveled Western researchers and credible institutions.
SHAME BA SATA: “Just three days ago against this backdrop a unique Zambian politician of rare breed again attacked China with a claim that Chinese do not bring any investment to Africa.
Before your own eyes everyone here has witnessed the construction of TAZARA, establishment of Zambia–China economic and trade cooperation zone, the rising of Ndola stadium nearby, not to mention the numerous schools, hospitals, anti malaria centre and hydro-power station under the aid program from China,” Ambassador Qiangmin…
“The politician’s remarks are absolutely baseless and ill-motivated or is just in denial or lost sight and vision which is very dangerous for any politician.”
He said so far the accumulated investment in Luanshya mine had reached over US $70 million and 2,250 local people had been employed.
He said the project investment would reach US $400 million.
“My dear friend when we face those figures, can we believe that politician’s nonsense the Chinese don’t bring in any investment and good to Africa,” asked Ambassador Qiangmin.
King Solomon,
With Sata’s xenophobia
“Me suggest that the secret service should help track all PF cares working in the Chinese owned mines and factories then systematically flash them out of those jobs for Sata to employee them at the PF secretariat.Instead give those jobs to other Zambians who appreciate being employed”.
Veteran’s other name is Edwin Lifekelo!!!
This Mulongoti is very dull and destructive. Does he think the DPP drops cases to please people? If that is what he does then he is not professional enough to hold that office. I have never seen such a dull person like Mulongoti. Does he think before he opens his mouth? RB, please chase chase this thug from govt, he is really doing you a deservice!!
