KK has the right to advise politicians to practice clean politics-UNIP

Kenneth Kaunda waves his handkerchief

Opposition United National Independence Party (UNIP) Acting Secretary General Jemima Banda has taken a swipe at his Patriotic Front (PF ) counterpart Winter Kabimba’s attacks on first President Kenneth Kaunda.

Mr Banda said in a statement received by ZANIS, today, that the first republican President Dr. Kaunda has the right to advise politicians to practice clean politics in the country.

The UNIP Acting Secretary General said Mr. Kabimba should not be excited on the matter as the former head of state’s statement was not meant to injure anyone.

“Dr. Kaunda statement was rather constructive advice to anybody who cares to listen,” Mr. Banda added.

Meanwhile, Mr. Banda challenged Mr. Kabimba to just explain how he acquired properties in Independence Avenue, one on Njoka Road and Taverns which he turned into business Centre.

“Lusaka residents would like to know who shared Council properties during his reign as Town Clerk,” he said.

  1. Yes, its true we all know that Kabimba was a plunderer at LCC. He should not pretend to be clean, that is why PF should not be allowed to rule without the UPND. HH president, Sata without Portfolio, Guy Scott Vice President, Lubinda for Foreign Affairs – hahahaha!!

  2. We see Sata and Winter Kabimba heinously insulting Dr.Kaunda over his wise and free counsel to George Mpombo one nihilist subversively insulting the institution of the Zambian Presidency. Whatever the mystery connection these two insulting pieces have, it’s odd to read them vilifying KK over his call for One Zambia one nation. Further they fault his dynamic personal political solidarity with political values of candidates since retirement from politics. Presidential retirement does not imply forfeiture of one’s civic and moral duties.

  3. This is why Reagan died in solidarity with the GOP while Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton openly make endorsements and join the campaign trail for their choices. As long as there is no quest to enter the political arena as candidates, it’s democratic and constitutional for former Presidents to lump up the criticism in the political arena.

  4. In the same vein KK has the moral duty to rebuke and counsel nihilists behavior only condoned by Sata and Kabimba. We all know that since his retirement, KK has never taken political party membership of any other than retaining his UNIP one unless one can prove us wrong. He remains a UNIP card # 1 holder while the likes of Sata have lived mutating in membership from the Lenshina sect Movement, UPP, UNIP, MMD, PF and now UPND-PF cum PACT. Unless the two PF chaps are hurt with KK’s push for sanity, dignity and nationalism against their tribe based micro-nationalism, KK remains unparallel statesman with moral mantle to disdain nihilism.

  5. Having enormous experience from the liberation era and having induced the birth of Democracy in Zambia, yes Dr. Kaunda is definately vested with the right to advise politicians on clean governance. Others cannot even distinguish an autocrat from a democrat.

  6. Unless the two PF chaps are hurt with KK’s call for sanity, dignity and spirit of nationalism against their insults and tribal politics, KK remains unparallel statesman with moral mantle to disdain thuggery.

  7. Instead, the two need to reflect and review KK’s nationalistic counsel to insurgents like Mpombo.By irrationally insulting him, PF instead risk taking a wider public fall-off from many constituencies when the old man has little or nothing to lose. To think KK is a simpleton whom poor soul Kabimba can trample on and trash in his assigned decoy role of subversive Mmembe accustomed to insulting any Zambian with a stand different from him is a gamble. No doubt the illusion that they can brazenly do so without political cost in the national constituency is a fallacy of failed PF leadership.

The PF fragrance for politics of insults must have a limit otherwise; PF risk remaining a life time circus in the Zambian politics. The Post editorial below by Mmembe and his team is spot on. We can…

  8. We can only say thanks Kennedy for the retention. I also happen to retain almost all editorials from the last 18 years. We may have to clear these for steadfast public shareware.

  9. Below is an editorial comment from the Weekly Post edition of September 17-23, 1993:

For those people who think the Weekly Post devotes too many of its column inches to reporting on the misdeeds of ministers, politicians, prominent citizens and other so-called “leaders”, the venom of the notorious snake Michael “King Cobra” Sata at the International Airport last week should surely show that our reporting is justified.

  10. Suddenly there are Bandas everywhere. Ok lets set the record straight here. The issue is not about clean politics and MMD and this Veteran just want to side step the issue. That is not the Issue in PF. The issue here is about what Masheke raised. Since when did KK become an MMD cadre to start commenting on MMD internal affairs. Would it not be wise to stay out of such particularly if his advise was not sought.

Again Kabimba’s plundering issues raised by #1 is another way to side step issues. As Veteran has written before, if you have evidence take Kabimba to court or just shut up!!!

  11. Men like Sata who are appointed to high office are quick to call themselves leaders; they quickly justify their use of expensive motor vehicles, their need for expensive foreign travel(Sata travelled first class on British Airways at the expense of the Zambian taxpayer) and the right to be called “Honourable”.They quickly justify becoming bullies. The behaviour of Sata last week, first reported by the Sunday Times of Zambia (whose editors were unfortunately too shy to reveal the name of this dangerous and foolish minister), merely confirms yet again what the Weekly Post has said about Sata all along.

  12. However, the difference with Sata is that he is a Cabinet minister, a “leader” holding one of the topmost posts in the country, and he should not behave like a mad man and expect to get away with it – as he so often has.A leader means just that: a person who leads others.

  13. In the case of a Zambian cabinet minister he or she is a leader of the citizens of Zambia.Such a person must be an inspiration, politically, morally, intellectually. In short, they should set an example for others. How would the Zambian government have reacted if Sata’s behaviour had been that of a white South African Cabinet minister who had shouted abuse at black Zambians.Stan Kristafor, we were told by the president, was fired for hurling racist comments. Will Sata also be fired for hurling racist comments at Nikki Roberts, a coloured British Airways official based in Lusaka.

  14. You do not have time to waste on petty arguments that center around the false “party wars”. True patriotism is to have thoughts that do not derive from the most famous political puppet.

  15. The Weekly Post, “the eyes and ears of the people,” to use Chiluba’s own words – has called for Sata’s removal from the Cabinet long ago, not out of malice, but because we don’t believe this man’s disgraceful conduct has any place in the new, democratic political culture for which the people of this country so craved.

  16. If “Cobra” Sata is so precious that the president cannot bring himself to sack him, at least he could do us a favour and cage this dangerous serpent so that any further harm and embarrassment can be avoided.

If the president doesn’t act, sooner or later people may decide to deal with “King Cobra” in the same fashion as they deal with ordinary snakes that slither into their backyards. The Weekly Post saw through Mr Sata as far back as 16 years ago.

Were they wrong? Do Mr Sata’s attacks on Dr Kaunda and President Banda surprise anyone?

  17. Well,i have observed some good comments especially about Clinton,Reagan etc so all i can say is that people should not find it strange when KK is attacked by politicians.KK is a former politician and irrespective of what he has done for the nation or his retirement,he’s entitled to endorse or castigate whoever he wants but he must be ready to face the consequences of doing that & that includes political mud thrown at him directly or indirectly, that’s just the way it is in politics!

  18. Yes, advice is welcome even if it comes out of a madman, empty tin, the mentally challenged etc and it all depends on the user of such advice to sieve out the chuff.
In the same vein, KK is free to offer advice but if telling another human being that they are “barking” is advising, then we should question the sanity of the adviser and supporters of such language.
No wonder he (KK) used to call us Zambians as S_T_U_P_1_D 1_D_1_O_T_S when challenged on his failings.
My advice to him is to check his language as a former head of state and elder statesman if he wants to be respected.

  19. We don’t stop KK to comment of national issues as long he is not partisan. But his remarks about Mpombo can easily be classifies with affiliation to MMD. What the hail we don’t want out of KK is for him to be a mouth piece of the MMD or RB. We have respect for the big man but that does not mean he has never wronged Zambians. We don’t want KK to bring back his dictatorship through RB. In fact KK must shut up to avoid opening old wounds which he hurt Zambians. KK must just enjoy his retirement package and if he wants to come back to Politics, let him go back to a political school of the 21st Century. As far as I know, KK is an enemy of democracy and very ignorant man about democracy and his level of democracy belong to the kindergarten.

  20. The Editorial team at the Post can’t believe that the beasts they and President Mwanawasa intended on Chiluba are now feasting on their sons – Mutembo and Chona. If Chona paid suppliers without tender procedures, he must be tried and sent to jail.

  21. Kaunda has every right to comment on our politics but it bothers me when his comments smells of him being mindful of losing his pension! Could he comment on the sale of Zamtel in the same breath? Kabimba maybe the wrong person to point fingers at Kaunda but his point is still valid, though I think he might have gone too far with his castigation.

  22. Very unfortunate that our old man has found himself in this situation. We should also understand that probably the old man just got carried away by the moment. But for sure he made a mistake. Sadly he might be judged by the words he used as his legacy was being rebuilt and scrutinized. What I find fascinating is how people like Veteran fail to condemn but praise praise KK even when he has shown who he is. Suppose it was Sata or HH who used the word KK used, what would the talk from these hypocrites who picks and chooses when one is wrong? Ba KK made a mistake and him too deserves admonition just like any other citizen of Zambia.

  23. Kalos2020 I think you need help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! people like you shouldn’t really be living in the western world and should be in Somalia.

  24. Ba KK should stay retired and play a unifying role as father of the nation. If he gets himself into the current political wrangles, he should expect people to answer him back.

It is his right to comment on what is going on the country, but in a nonpartisan way and in a language befitting an ex president.

  25. #25, chilichill:

Are you sure you have the right person in the cross-airs? What is wrong with kalos2020 post @24 to deserve that kind of rebuke from you? Wow, I don’t get it!!!

  26. Kabimba things may just start errupt for you. You will risk your property, keep quite you will have nothing to lose but eat HH and Sata’s money quietly ma man!

  27. KK IS A FOUL-MOUTHED INDIVIDUAL WHO INSULTED ZAMBIANS DAY IN DAY OUT. SO, HE IS NOT THE RIGHT PERTSON TO ADVISE OTHERS ABOUT CLEAN LANGUAGE. THE MAN IS FULL OF HATE FOR ZAMBIANS AND IT’S PLAIN. IF HE CAN JUST RESPECT HIMSELF LIKE NELSON MANDELA, ZAMBIA WOULD BE 10 STEPS FORWARD.

  28. #27 Yambayamba, I feel very honored that you came to my side on this one. I am lost by the response from ba Chilichil. Probably he was responding to an old posting that he has kept in his head and unfortunately he brought it at a wrong time. Ala ibange libi ba Chilichil. You see, it makes you see what other people are not seeing. Can you point out what I said that got into your nerves? Are you not seeing what other people are not seeing? Or are you not hearing voices? Please get checked before it is too late.

  29. #29(Peter)
There is nothing wrong in KK giving advise and urging One Zed ,One Nation.Anyone against peace is an enemy of Zambia.Your comparison of Mandela and KK is unresearched.Mandela lambasted Thabo Mbeki when he was persecuting long time ANC members with the disbanded so called SCORPIONS and spoke openly against squables in the party. No one called him names, alas we have Kabimba under the tutelage of Sata puking trash against our Feedom Fighter

  30. KK has his own views and is allowed to say what he feels, bad or good you need to respect each person’s views even if you dont agree with what he said.Others are saying stay retired, and thats not up to them to determine that.Other previous world leaders still contribute to their country’s political make up.To say that KK was wrong in what he said is you forming and imposing your views on his statements. Most of you people are here and have what you have today because of KK.Never bite the hand that feeds you my friends.

  31. Well, this is the chap who always called Zambians s.t.u.p.i.d. i.d.i.o.t.s for advocating for a multi party system which he outlawed illegally and upon being forced to reinstate it, he retorted, and quote: “you can now go and form your tribal parties”. If I were Jemima Banda, I will not try to open a pandora’s box by accusing Kabimba of theft because KK’s cupboard is overflowing with skeletons. We all know most of the evils he onchestrated against innocent Zambians for committing no other offence other than expressing a view contrary to his. The points Mpombo has raised are very important and its an insult for KK to clasify them as “barking” because only dogs bark and the last time I saw Mpombo, he was human and not a canine species.

  32. I have little or no respect for KK. This man has no moral right to talk about clean langauge. He never respected anyone during his his presidency. I guess he just have to shut his mouth. In addition you can not help anyone by using faul language. This just shows that Kaunda has not changed.

  33. Zambians did not ask KK to liberate them and besides, Zambian independence was achieved though peaceful means and not armed struggle. Besides, there were people who is the civil disobedience for our independence were mained for life and never held us at ransom for the injuries Welensky meted on them. Therefore, UNIP national women’s secretary Beatrice Kayuni should leave General Malimba Masheke alone because that General does not need Kaunda to be somebody in life. If she knew her history well, she will know that the decorated general who was in charge of training PLAN (SWAPO of Namibia), Umkhonto we Sizwe (ANC of South Africa), ZIPRA (ZAPU-PF of Zimbabwe) and FAPLA (MPLA of Angola) combatants was no other than Mailmba Masheke. He does not need Mr Buchizya to be somebody, his credentials

  34. are intact and well earned on the independence battlefield and does not need awfully looking whores like this Beatrice Kayuni to smear him with such filth synonymous of Kaunda’s political era. I just hope KK will mussle these wild dogs of his otherwise the likes of Masheke will be left with no option but to break the pandora’s box, including the circumstance that led to Kaunda breaking his wrist and telling people “musiyaleni 4 malodzi”, even in places like Mfuwe Kumawa where not a single soul could understand what he was barking.

  35. This man KK must be advised to publicly apologise to Zambians whilst he is still alive and able to be forgiven. He should not leave his sordid past to his offspring to plead forgiveness on his behalf after he is long gone.
KK cannot honestly talk about bad language. What about “One Zambia, one leader, that leader, KK wamuyayaya, Uwakana ponona!!”, at a rally in Chingola in the 70’s he publicly insulted trade unionist Peter Chibuye and said “Peter Chibuye, satanyoko !!!”. Obviously KK and his believers came to accept that God can rule in the void but on the Zambian piece of earth, only KK was God hence ” Lesa ku mulu panshi KK wamuyayaya !!!”.
It is said a person can be assessed by the company he keeps. KK’ friends Saddam Hussein,Cauceascu etc

  36. U u shasokone mwana wandoshi and then today you say love one another, KK alepepa ilikali sana. leave the damn cannabis to chiluba. you must be grateful even for being spared. you know that we have records of your multi million kwacha house you built in the 80’s at shambalakale farm yet you are still doing mumbwa mumbwa mu lusaka pretending you dont have a house yet you have been stealing from the same pot your bululu is now feasting from. We have not forgotten not long ago the infamous two words-“S.t.u.p.i.d I.d.i.o.t.s”. these were your words and you shamelessly called us children of witches if we didnt wave yet you want to advise George the Antelope. leave him alone as he has his own short comings

  37. blind stooges like impotent veteran are the ones tarnishing the image of this blog fora with their lumpenism. surely supporting the same foul language of KK and stuffing it with goose droppings and you want the zambians to believe in your blogs. ala veteran if there is an empty on this blog, your are number 1 and we applaud you for your non stop attacks on Sata even when the articles are not about Sata. see this is stup.idity in its highest level. i think you have a dangerous malignant tumor between your brain lobes that has impaired permanently your thinking. we say your conscience is seared and only God can mend it if he wills but since you are not willing to repent like your bosses, then only a dreadful downfall awaits you like doomsday fell on KK the person who thought he will die in

  38. Lamba’s want to kiss goodbye to presidency, who is going to vote for a lamba in future if they have (well, as portrayed by Mpombo) such a shameless sense of exclusive entitlement. its tribalism at its best now in Zambia fueled by our beloved deep diggers.Hope Kaunda manages to get some influence against the current rot

  39. Veteran, Sata is not mentioned in this article. Try not to show your personal hatred for people through the blogs. Sata is as human and as Zambian as any other Zambian; he should not be criticized even when he has not uttered a word. He has not done you any wrong, or has he? Here is what the Holy Bible teaches us in Proverbs 3:30: “Do not contend with a man without cause, if he has done you no harm.” Other bloggers are not fools for commenting on the content of the article without bringing in the names of individuals who are not mentioned in it. Try to be civil in your comments.

  40. #42 Imfumu1, forget about this retard in the name of veteran, any way he is a veteran in mediocrity. just see how he brings up points, shooting in the air. i wonder who made this guy into an english speaker, did he genuinely pass any exam? he brings out blogs on issues not mentioned in articles and with ancient english thinking by using big words, he is silencing anyone. cheap propagandist.

  41. KK has every right to advise however, he should not take sides or use bad language. As much as we appreciate him being the first President, he had his own weakness and what he did to Zambians was not good at times. So let him not pretend to be Jesus just becoz Chiluba is most hated. If Chiluba proved to be a better president, KK would be baking and taking sides. As a first Black father of the nation, he should be neutral so that anyone can look and go to him for advise.

  42. Veteran,

KK told Mpombo to stop barking at RB. To the best of my knowledge, only dogs bark. By inference, if someone is told stop barking it means that person is being equated to a dog. Therefore if KK referred to Mpombo as barking at RB, he was actually equating Mpombo to a dog – the only living creature that barks! To me, that’s a pretty nasty insult I wouldn’t take lying down. So Mpombo’s reaction was quite natural because he felt insulted by the old man. Contrary to what misguided Jemima Banda is saying KK was not advising Mpombo; he was insulting him. Period.

  43. #46, Max, i totally agree with you. Barking cannot be tolerated. KK thought people are now sympathetic to him and will listen after suffering at the hands of the same Movement for Mandrax Dealers he was against and for him to start using their fora to insult George, oh my God, he is trying to invite the sleeping devil. we have not forgotten that the current headquaters for ZAIN zambia was a temple for KK and his minions. what of the freedom house which was to house a heliopad and mausoleum for him should he get sick or die respectively. thanks to china of those days for putting up such a structure. KK we have not forgotten how you put us in the state of emergency since 1967 up to the time you were hounded out of plot one. KK should have kept quiet as he did when the economy was in bits

  44. #24, #33, and number 42 to mention a few, thank you for your wisom. #11, you are a worst of space on LT. Your blogs are mis placed and they realy worst our time becouse they are un guided and un founded.

  45. I guess it just goes with age. Lets just take it as ‘ukusabaila’. Baleya balekota ba K.K. It would do him good if he appointed an articulate spokesperson to bark on his behalf other than ukubosa palwabo.

Zedians are generally peace loving, respectful and forgiving people. It’s just unfortunate that both the past and present crop of leaders don’t seem to appreaciate this but rather, take it for granted.

  46. #31 Sharp shooter, its actually you puking trash. Mandela rebuked an ANC President of which he is a life member. He rebuked a sitting republic President from his party. What interest has KK got in MMD, he cant rebuke his Bweziness for the blunders he makes like stopping the appeal of Chilubas case etc. UNIP has internal squabbles, he has remained mute because his son is president. So Sharp shooter or is it blunt shooter stop puking trash.

  47. THis is how these useless politicians loss popularity instead of concetrating on giving people hope on what you going to do for them and how, they instead are busy commenting on other politicians. what a share waste of precious time and energy

  48. #51 Crystal clear
KK was talking in his capacity as a former head of state to see to it that peace prevails and ofcourse Mpombo was on rampage attacking RB who happens to be President.Former heads of state despite their affiliations have duties to comment on issues that threaten national security and peace anywhere in the world. They cant completely stay out of politics .I wanted to say Dim Clear but its okay.

  49. Veteran try to see things with clear glasses and you will not be judged as being partial. Yes your KK as a citizen can advise politicians but he has to do it with honesty and intergrity. Your KK was always attacking FTJ on every issue and so it was with Levy. But to day when Banda Rupiah;s administration has commited more crimes than the the two previous administrations did, your KK has kept quiet. And we all know the reason. Simple Unip is back in form of one Bandah Rupiah. Surely iwe veteran if you are a true MMD member can you allow William Banda to be MMD provincial Chairman. Afterall it was KK who insulted Mpombo and you expect people to keep quiet. Umukalamba afwile ukuchindika umwaiche if he wants respect himself.

  50. Shooter, just because KK is former dictator does not give him right to compare Mpombo to a dog. The points Mpombo has been raising are real and he has merely been enhancing internal democracy which KK has never been alive to. Besides who says citizens dont have rights to comment on issues that pertains to national security except former fimo fimo.

  51. Veteran remember the names your KK gave MMD- Ba Matipa(Multiparty). Movement of Mandrax Dealers, Little scared men etc. He accused Chiluba of having master minded the death of his beloved Wezi. Today that Chiluba is a bed fellow of Banda Rupiah these accusations have stopped. Do not change like water which takes the colour of the container. The man your KK has no right to be insulting people other wise he will be bruised as Levy used to say each time your KK openned its snout.

  52. #51 Good point. Why isn’t KK commenting on UNIP squabbles. That is his party and that is the party with the most problems in Zambia than MMD. That is the issue we have with KK in PF. Looks like he has also defected to MMD, why not make a public renouncement about it. If anything UNIP is on the verge of extinction and it needs him more that ever.

  53. #31, I STILL HOLD THAT KK SHOULD NOT START INSULTING ZAMBIANS, AGAIN. WE HAVE HAD ENOUGH IN HIS STUPID DAYS. HE MUST SHUT HIS FILTHY MOUTH. MPOMBO IS RIGHT.

  54. Out of sight out of mind it does nt mean for sure tht our fore father KK bcoz he has retired frm active politics does nt mean he cannot offer advice were its due thts why is there to give us th guidelines whenever we go astray, lets jst say tht th only mistake he made ws sidin with th other side but am very sure th advice ws cumin frm his heart as a father,he wud hav called mpompo an Rupiah to avoid wht has been ths dust which has been raised on our father its nt good, for mpombo is a typical tribalist together with nalumbambe thrs nothin i admire abt ths guys whts so special abt lambas tht other tribes dnt hav pliz u guys jst accept tht u were close to mwanawasa bt he is no more so rupiah has also sum pipo he wnts to be close with it does nt mean he is sidelining u.

  55. Meanwhile, Mr. Banda challenged Mr. Kabimba to just explain how he acquired properties in Independence Avenue, one on Njoka Road and Taverns which he turned into business Centre- THIS BI T C H SHOULD KNOW THAT KABIMBA IS A LAWYER AND HAS MADE MONEY FROM HIS FIRM AND SEPERATION PACKAGE FROM LCC. IF HER KK HAS TO BEG FOR A HOUSE FROM MMD, DOES NOT MEAN ALL OF US ARE BEGGARS.

  56. I agree with #46 as much as KK has the right to advise someone he has no right to call a fellow human being created in God’s image a dog. He preaches the Bible so which God is he representing. The big man should just keep away from politics and shud not be partisan. Why can he emulate Mandela and the rest.

  57. This so called father of the nation once call Mwanawasa a Vegetable, and this same KK guy, based on no sane facts, said Sata can’t be a leader but can only be lead. What advice can he give today? Not even ka Chiluba jumps up the way he does when Bwazani calls him. He has lost it all. Tell me in the spectrum of his comrades like the late Nyerere, the late Samora Machel and Mandela, where can KK fit in? KK is a deparate old man, who has been pushed in over-drive by facts like; ———he is still looking after his children down to his great grand children. He is a boot licker that will lick anything that will give him anything. Can any one of you out there relate to THE KENNETH KAUNDA’S CHILDREN FOUNDATION? Yah I do, when ZESCO give him millions. Under privileged Children is the most…

  58. Under privileged Children is the most important issue in Zambia. This issue is in all problem sectors of this country. He champions that!, then he is worth the states man his comrades are.

  59. #61,

If you genuinely did something wrong (by the way Mpombo has only been bring out facts) and then an “Elderly” person in society tries to “give you advice” by first of all equating you to a dog, would you even listen to the rest of what he has to say (So-called advice)?

  60. Mandela has won the Nobel Prize and so has Obama. Why hasnt this man called KK won it? Its because of his double standards. Ask Mugabe how he KK wanted to make sure Nkhomo (RIP) became the leader of Zim.

  61. Good afternoon

It is amazing to see how many ‘haters’ Dr. Kaunda has…one really wonders what it is that the old man said to stir up so many negative emotions among some bloggers?
It is easy to hate and it is difficult to love. I guess this is how the whole scheme of things works in this world we live in. All good things are difficult to achieve; and bad things are very easy to get…

  62. #68 Nine Chale, I don’t think anyone hates Kaunda, what people hate is his hypocricy, love for power and his dictatorship in the past. He is still vying for power and aims to be MMD. If he continues to involve himself with the Rupiah politics of tribalism and name calling the people will react accordingly and he will be put to shame. Other former presidents in the region are highly respected world wide because they are true statesmen and do not lower themselves by equating human beings to dogs. Is that what his meaningless so called philosophy of humanism stands for?

  63. Follow educated Zambians, don’t get worked about KK’s use of the word “Bark” to describe Mpombo’s rantings in the press. If you read the dictionary, the word “bark” does not only refer to the sound made by a dog, but may also be used to describe someone that “speaks forcefully in an unfriendly tone”. And for those of you that read KK’s advice to Mpombo, this is what he was talking about!

Other synonyms of the same word may include: Harangue, rant, lecture, rant, yap., etc…

  64. In as much as we appreciate that KK has every right to advise politicians to practice clean politics he does not have the right to insult people, in my own understanding telling a person that he has been barking like anything amounts to insult…and i dont know why the issue of Winter’s propety has been mentioned…. well, i dont if its only me, i think Zambian politicians (from the so-called father of the nation to a ward chairman) are very petty.

  65. Imwe Bajemima, we know you from Ndola. You are the vinamayos who underarrated Francis Nkhoma’s UNIP presidency. KK should not continue using Zambians like his a**e wipes. We had enough of his sickening 27 year rule. Mwandini guys, tell him to F off.

  66. The Bemba say ‘abakulu tabapusa chebo” The best Mpombo could have done is to heed the old man’s advice. Now he’s reported to be making baseless accusations to excuse his criminal act of cheque fraud!
