  1. I kept scratching my head wondering if i’m a jinx because everytime i get glued to the Tv to watch zambia-they lose. And ironically if i don’t watch they either win or make a stalemate. Is it just me or what??

  2. # Iwe ka number 10,
You cant blame the coach for that loss. Its that chi goal keeper who could not handle the ball. Now he has put us in a tight situation though all we need is a goal against Gabon. Tell those boys that in the game against Gabon they should play their lungs out , as if the legs owe them money.

  3. hello there mr lituga on number 16, am i not entitled to my own opinion? r u going 2 arrest me? is that not y we r all typing? [-([-(
    ba zambia when, eh when-o?(:|

  4. i think we would have won if we had no goal keeper in goals..maybe our defense would have been tighter..this poor finishin is not funny any more!!!!

  5. How can you allow them to equalise, share waste of zambian taxe money, give the that money to the zambian works or the aged than wasting it on those foolish people you call footballers who can deliver for the Zambia people.

  6. Why did HR made the decision of removing Felix and Rainford? This is very frustrating. He would have let Felix continue the game, am almost sure we wouldn’t have taken another goal. And what a pity the keeper couldn’t stop the ball.

  7. To balame the goal keeper for the loss is being childish and myopic…Cameroon had 68% ball posseion to zambia’s 32%. What tactics was the coach playing? You cant play zonal making against a team that has players who are individually skillfull. And while we are still at it, when did Sunzu become a defender???

  8. Cumon guys give credit to the team, they hve played far better then last africa cup, they learning from mistakes, n its not over yet all they need is a clean one goal win.

  9. Zambian football is always about qualifying by numbers. It was a good show but lets face it zambian football is not the same and won’t be for a very long time. But then again when was zambia football it. We have never consistantly played at a high level even in the past so maybe we need to call a spade, a spade and nothing more

  10. #25 Mukandeke,Your comments are just as beautiful as your appearance.I’m very impressed by your comments, they exposed your in depth knowledge about football.Keep it up!

  11. #24 cheeky, the changes were necessary: Felix was injured, he had to go out – the health of the players comes first. Rainford had a yellow card and was highly risking a red card soon…as for the keeper, things like that can happen – even the great Beckham & co. have fumbled big time on the pitch. It’ll be quickly forgotten as soon as Zambia wins the next game.

Lets not look for the blame on the coach – he has done a tremendous job in instilling a sense of confidence and discipline in the boys. I think they’re game is more mature now than the last time they played Cameroon because of the coach… just my raw soccer instinct.

  12. #29 shimuchita panono, thanx for the compliment….appreciated….just wondering what the brothers are talking about when clearly Zambia was out played. The team was too cautios as compared to when they played Tunisia. The coach said before the game that he was weary of the wounded lions….thats the feeling he passed to the players – fear!

#30, Neighbour naimwe….Zambia’s qualification is the worst I have seen since i started supporting Zambia and you say the coach has instilled confidence in the team?….Kaya mama!

  13. Can somebody clarify what result we need against Gabon to go through – I am not very sure of the rules. Thank you. I think the boys had a wonderfull game. Sometimes it comes down to experience. But Zambia is coming back stronger.

  14. #25 I gree with your points. As for numbers # 1, #10, #20, #22, it is unfair to blame goalkeeper for the loss. He made a mistake, but if you watched the match against Tunisia, he earned us a draw. Maybe #6, if you had watched that game you were going to believe. Time and again as Tunisia pressurised, our defence was caught napping and it was only Mweene throwing his body everywhere that earned us the only point so far. Never loss hope, we might just be there this time.

  15. Zambia played the best Football they have a ever played against a 5 star African Team. We just lost the script toward the end hope we can pick it back up when we face Gabon. Otherwise we are still in it back we are last in the Group now the Pressure is on Cameroon and Tunisia now.

  16. # 32 nine Chale,Lets face it,Mukandeke kwena ni mbama….i did not mean only the lips.I bet God must have spent a little more time on her…!!

  17. qualification is a must. go zed go. as for mweene, ebola mwaiche wandi. its a bitter pill for zambians to swallow but thats the reality. lets focus on the upcoming game against another entertain team gabon

  18. We have lost and we cannot reverse the situation but we can learn from the game. The results always matter in football. The boys gave their best and the manager or coach gambled in anticipation for a better performance. It was not our day just like most of other days but one day it will be us celebrating. However, I really enjoyed watching cricket this morning, South Africa managed to finish the match taking 7 wickets in the morning session and it was all over for England. Series drawn and SA retains the cup. May be Zambia can do better in cricket? More black indigeneous Zambians should be encouraged to participate. It is a game not only for Asians! Viva Chipolopolo.:x

  19. #39 Nine Chale,Bushe bane mwaba ku bulaya? To be quite honest with you,i like your comments. They are very mature, intellectual, informative and hilarious.I asked if you are in diaspora because abengi ku Zambia this time they are sleeping(ama internet cafe nabesala) or for those who are well privilleged amalaiti nayaya so they can’t keep on blogging…..hahaha….

  20. #45 shimuchita..nebo ndili ku Gelemani (Stuttgart City). Thanks for your kind words…I try my best not to bore others but also keep it real with my contributions. I’m off the blog for today. Goodnight & God bless.

  21. We managed to score 2 goals against the Lions! I wish I could score 2 tonite! Zambia has really improved it could have been worse. Before the match the bookings had Zambia for 5/1 to win the match (underdogs). But we showed that it is not easy to beat us. Proud to be Zambian. There is always next time.

  22. I predict that for a change Zambia will go through to the quarter finals. The group is open. After seeing all the games in the group Zambia is the most enterprising and hard working so far. Cameroun won from sheer luck. For 60 minutes they were lucky to be one goal down. Kennedy Mwene was not in his element, he should be benched for the next game.I thought it was a good idea to substitute Kalaba to avoid a red card, as Zambia best player the coach needs him for the next game which would have been complicated by a red card.He start to slow down with late challenges and making mistakes. I think he was limping a little too. Zambia’s frontline is good, Mulenga & Chamanga are swift but they a need a third striker that can hold on to the ball in the opponents zone and distribute

  23. I also thought the marking was good even if it meant losing ball possession percentage. For a long time our goal keeper was well protected by the defence. Kennedy was just too lazy today other than Eto’s goal the other two were quite silly goals to concede, even the header , the goalie was no where and no effort to anticipapte or stop it. Since its African football lets just say the Camerounian witchdoctors bewitched the goal keeper who was having sleeping sickness during the game.

  24. The Zambian team played without CHARACTER. All I could see was individual efforts from players and no passes or team work. Even the first goal was not well coordinated. Same applies for the Penalty. The only time I saw class was Rainford’s free kick which did not result in a goal. If we are to be champions the guys need to play together according to a plan. All I saw was our team trying to defend our lead against a strong team. All the did was put more fire power in front since we relieved them of the need to defend. We can reach the semis if these guys play together according to a plan. By the way I think Kennedy is a good keeper and it was unlucky for that goal to go in. SH.IT happens at times and lets give him a break. He has served as well many times and today was not his day

  25. I pray for the guys to do us justice and win the next game. they played well against
Cameroun, i did not expect them to lose decently, tho a win would have made us proud.
Ala pati pakokole epo ba zambia did well……..it’s abt time they picked up!!!!!

  26. Zambia are like England. So much excitment during build up to the games and flat like a deflated balloon. I wish I had not watched to spare my mood. Ma lubbish chabe!!!!

  27. The only lesson we can learn from that match is that we need a good goalkeeper, that one has had his time. HR try to find someone you can groom on your on just like poulsen did with James Phiri. The guy became the third best goalkeeper Zambia had ever produced after Emmanuel Mwape and Efford Chabala. That goalkeer( Mweene) should go just like that other small keeper did(That ka Phiri now in South Africa) You will hear an apology from Mweene because no Goalkeeper worth his salt can behave in such a way. Iplayed soccer myself and I know what Iam talking about.

  28. In my opinion the team is poorly coached. If you watched the game it seemed Cameroon had two extra players on the field. Zambia was not closing Cameroon down, they always had a lot of space to move the ball forward and passed in time. On the other hand Zambia was tightly marked and were not passing the ball soon enough, everyone wanted to be a hero and attempted to dribble one too many times. This is a reflection of poor coaching not skills. Our goal keeper did not help either, he fumbled the ball and seemed imobile on simple shots. The striker could not finish on good crosses, it is as if they were not expecting the ball. I am disappointed more with the coach who should have adjusted the play after first half. Cameroon had possesion of the ball more than 65% that should be enough!

  29. :((:((:((:((:((:((:((:(( mweene umwenso just sreein they songs and eoto..bane be confident and make ur own names…:((:((:((:((:((:((

  30. i did not watch the match so wont comment
but yee zambians of little faith!! eyes you have but have been covered with cowrie shells!
ears you have but have been clogged with cobweb!!
dont you see the impending poetic justice? God has finally decided its time to wipe your eyes dry of the tears of the gabon tragedy and diramba
he had to give gabon a winning start to raise their hopes of of progressing before having them shattered by a defeat at the hands of zambia!!!
    praise be to God!! Halleluya!>:d<>:d<>:d<

  31. do you follow? cameron had to be allowed the victory against zambia today it order to deny gabon a possible 2nd place after the final group matches
2010 afcon finals is zambia vs cameron and zambia wins 1-0

  32. We go into the final match knowing that only a win will see us through. Gabon will defend and try to catch us on the break. I feel we can do it and go all the way.

  36. We shouldnt have used mbola on the left back.He is good but look at task he was given,it was too much.Chivuta could have been a better choice.Felix was great but as usaul HR failed to read the game. And surely did we start deffending in 2nd half.Cameroun was week in defence.Still more tuli fipolopolo:d/

  37. Bakawinina mucoolwe ba-Cameroun. Goooooo Chipolopolo boys. Chipolopolo boys, you can win the African Cup this year. Just continue focusing on solving those yesterday mistakes. The goal difference is on our side as Zambia so far. Gabon can be beaten with a great margin if chipolopolo do not lose focus.

    Yalaba tomwaaba.

Matt 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you.

  38. Gabon will not spare us…Ba Zed will continue giving us heart attacks.I have nothing to say, I’m still nursing the shock!!![-([-([-(

  39. Weep not my fellow Zambians, for Gabon beckons and is ours for the taking! Remember that Southern Africa is hosting this tournament and surely, you don’t expect us to let some Arab or West African country take the trophy away? As for Mweene’s error, please lets give him a break. I have seen worse. Funny, but i believe in Zambia. Watch this space.:)>-

  40. Mweene is a big d.o.g! that f.o.o.l let down his team mates who played their hearts out. I blame him and i blame him because that guy likes fool.i.n.g around. I have no kind words for him. One mistake cost us the whole game and the defenders who worked tirelessy.i salute ba Zambia for the Character they displayed. Sunzu, Mbola, Kampamba, Musonda, our defenders well done!!!!!!!!! Rainford, hope you recover in time. Alikuti Mbesuma kansi?????

  41. Twalibelela ukulusa naimwe. I guess most Zedians by now are immuned to any shock, heart attack , BP or anything that goes with it. :d/

  42. I like one of the comments up there, we have become like England, over-rated and unrealistic, always expecting more when we give less. How much have we invested in football in our country but look at us, we even want to play in a world cup, when we do not have a staduim.Come on guys lets be real, we are not world sorry region beaters. And just content that our boys gave good account of our ailing country. They played like we even have stadia, clubs that do well on the continent, good admin, etc.Which of our player would play for a struggling Ghana, Nigeria or Cameroun, haaaaa I knew it none. So lts support the little we can assemble and be proud of it, don’t over-estimate urselves.Go chipolopolo ….. and sorry kennedy, next time.

  43. #74 I hope you are right. If we can not beat them 1-0 then we dont deserve to go through anyways. But….I have faith the boys did very well this time round. We are with you guys 100%…ba Zambia!

  44. As it is Zambia is in a group of death. Any team can go through to the next round but one thing I can assure you is this …it is either (Cameron or Tunisia) or indeed (Zambia or Gabon). Zambia needs to play for an outright win. Once that happens, we will have 4 points same as Gabon but what will determine who goes btwn Zambia and Gabon will be head to head performance. Do you know that Gabon only needs a draw to go through?

  45. Morning Zambia. You guys don’t sleep. We still have a chance. The coach is to blame for this. He mislead the players to defend the first goal. He was also suppose to remove the young boy for TANA at the back. Mweene is my man but he totally disappointed me by getting a pay for the rubbish job. The results aren’t that bad. We can do better than that. Its still Chipolopolo even if they lost. If we go to next round we will reach the semi finals.

  46. :-\” at least we gave a better performance gentlemen kutashafue though we lost. am confident we will win gabon by 2 or 3 -O lets wait and see we were a better side and after all we are the favourites in the group

  48. As regards to the face that has been commented on…..I have also seen that pic. A lady by the name Annette emailed me and apparently her emailed was treated as junk. So many gals in West Africa are using that picture and that is what Mukandeke as done. I challenge her to upload another pic so we can compare! She does not need to anyway but what ppl are saying is the truth which she knows.

  49. Awe ba Zed mwalipena! The players are getting there physically, but who will deliver the goals for Zambia?. Captain it was a header with tunnisia, missing that seater again! Mukasaleko ba captain. bambi.

    viva chipolopolo

  51. #41..mukandeke….how about a date with me:x..i stay in soweto, theres lots of nice joints. Lets me know i can pick you from were you are.

  52. Typical Zambia with an allergy to win. Solution Hmmmm!!!:-?
    Fire FAZ executive
Fire Herve the chap can’t read the game. He does’t know when, who and how to substitute.
Bottomline, Zambia never learns. Whats my name?
From Tunisia 1-1 draw to cameroun 3-2 bashing. I tell you if Zambian playerz were Angolans, Mali would have carried the day with a 5-4 scoreline in that opening game.
😮 unbelievable and appalling stuff!!! lol

  53. Is that the best goal keeper we have… if the the case we must withdraw from the tuoney on moral ground. This Mweene boy is just too ‘jumpie’. is legs and hand are always ahead of his brains!!!

  54. The coach is doing a good job he is building a stronger and stronger team.I thought cameroon was going to beat as by far. Well done coach keep it up. Lets support the coach and the team. We are going to have a better team finally.

  55. #91 Ukwa – This is not a joke. The coach made a big mistake. Lions are beatable. He told the boys to defend when they were suppose to attack. He was suppose also to remove the small boy at the defence for Tana. We need a strong man behind.

  56. Very disappointing result i think these cats can only win a match in 50 minutes, give them 90 +minutes it will be too much for the young lads, please what kind of food do they eat?do these guys move with proper chefs or balya fye ichilyelyelye. These cats lack professional attitude the entire Zambia football team, manager, coach what ever, support staff and including FAZ are all a joke…but good luck on the next game, and act like you are in a tournament and not some training outing,ba keeper!!!

  57. Take courage little Zambia. You are the champions this year. Do not stumble over this stone but use it as a firm spot from which to launch your leap!

  58. Judging from the comments (for and against), The defeat was painful! Others balekosa fye, otherwise they are hurting inside. Any way, one more game to go. All is not lost. Its not over until the fat lady sings….Also depends on how loud in our case!!

  59. when all this started i went and bought a cameroun jersey and had it customised with my name below eto’os.i nearly cried when zambia scored, but could not sleep with joy when the match ended with cameroun on top….way on top!always knew deep down that i had not thrown my money when i bought that jersey, hope cameroun wins the tourney, then i will don the jersey for a week,no matter what my wife says!
