Mbesuma Escapes Swallows Ban

Share

Moroka Swallows have decided not to charge Collins Mbesuma for returning to the South African club late at the end of the Africa Cup in Angola.

Swallows assistant coach Zeca Marques told Kickoff that they had given Mbesuma the benefit of the doubt after returning a week late to South Africa.

However, Marquers said the onus was now on Mbesuma to prove himself at swallows in the remaining games.

“Reputations don’t count in modern football; what counts most is your performance in the field of play. We have lot of young players currently doing well in the club and it is up to Mbesuma to prove that deserves to be in starting line-up,” Marques told Kickoff.

  1. This chap is very indisciplined and needs to be punished. This kind of behaviour is what has turned him into a gong’a. He will never learn.:o

  2. Mbesuma should just retire. He has demonstrated a high level of indiscipline so far. Surely, even if he got annoyed by being benched at the African Cup in Angloa, that does not tantamount to delay in reporting at his club. Was he trying to vent anger at his club or what?

Mbesuma MUST begin to show civility by obeying the rules of football. He should also begin to score goal so that he can demonstrate his worthiness to be in the starting line up at his club and possibly sustain his place at least on the bench in the Zambian National Team.

  4. Mbesuma Mbesuma, the only arrogant player who scores goals freely is Adebayor, Not our Mbesuma. He missed a golden chance to be a great player when he went to Portsmouth. Featured in a game against Liverpool and played badly they lost intrest in him. He had the talent b4 but it has deserted him due to indiscipline. Poor Chap. Too much Shake Shake nefitumbuwa pa Luanshya ga baisa.
