Luapula PF MPs resolve to stay away from cheap politics

Share

Opposition Patriotic Front (PF) Members of Parliament (MPs) in Luapula province have resolved to stay away from politics of mudslinging.

The Members of Parliament said it was irrational for them to be politicking at the expense of developing their constituencies.

Kawambwa PF MP Elizabeth Mulobeka, who spoke on behalf of other opposition MPs in the province, said they were elected to represent the people in the National Assembly regardless of their political affiliation.

Mrs. Mulobeka told ZANIS in an interview that there was need to work with the government of the day saying development could only flourish when MPs work with government.

She thanked President Banda for having visited the province saying the MMD government had done well in the province.
She cited the Kawambwa – Mansa road as one of the developmental projects which government has worked on.

Mrs. Mulobeka said once the opposition political parties support the government of the day, development would be accelerate in the country.

  1. Praise the LORD! There is a remnant of right thinking politicians! The opposition politicians must oppose policy not people. That is the distinction that Mr Sata has never known and now he has taught is little cobra exactly the same thing. It is a shame really that opportunities to develop the country are being over looked simply because opposers want government to fail so that they are elected. Once elected, they will do the same things which they opposed because they have no new ideas.

  2. Thumbs up mama Chitika the owner and founder of PFa party you founded for a noble cause with civil society firebrand Edwin Lifwekelo! Its sad that predators like Sata have callously hijacked and abused it under siege until it become a circus club to nowhere of insults. This is even after knowing that he was still chasing his illusion of the third term debacle with machates around the country! Abash politics of bamuposa amabwe ba Sata now resorting to witchcraft of bees on opponents.

  3. The rebel mps know that they are politically irrelevant. On behalf of what political party do they represent. They defied party interests in order to join other plunderers. I call them political moles because they were very aware of what was at stake and chose to intentionally participate in plundering the little resources the nation could have used to reduce poverty and empower more Zambians. If they have the right conscience let them apologise to their electorate and surrender the money back for the sole purpose of repairing roads bridges schools and clinics

  5. Ba Patriot, I don’t know how old you are, but you are just too pet. Hon Mulobeka didn’t mention of what King Cobra has done, but there you are mentioning him. Whats wrong with you? Get your brain in line!

  6. There is absolutely no moral ground to hold the nation at standstill by wasting national time and democratic opportunities with politics of natural rejects. The Zambian constitution is very categorical that one person at a time shall be President of Zambia.Nowhere does it have room of a two headed losers. In short PACT is a two headed futureless ilomba.

  7. Veteran
I have a question for you. Do you know how many times Ronald Reagan tried the primaries before he finally became president? I can give you more examples if you so wish.

  8. Through and through the GOP has never run any political race as a two headed ilomba ignoring the fact that Washington D.C has is only one whitehouse on Pennsylvania Avenue. But here are Zambia titular circus parties totting with their defeatist inferiority complex pushing as two headed ilomba for Plot One on independence day.To make matters worse, each is coming with 5 wives like Sata who thinks Zambians are daft to take up the responsibility of caring for 5 by the numbers of concubines they carry now.

  9. #1 and 2 I wish to join you in commending Ms Mulobeka and other Opposition MPs for the wise positon taken.
Sata needs trucks of Colgate to clean his mouth may that can help him bring out of his Mouth sensible issues. As for now true- He is a big looser. Yangu Luapula yaya kuli ba kulu Mphuno.
Veteran, any news on yet another good tour at Mwanachinwala s Palace? and where is Senior Citisen. I ve missed his very very wise contribution.

  10. which kawambwa mansa road has been developed? to go to kawambwa, we pass through mwense, kazembe mbereshi so which mansa kawambwa road has been developed? You PF rebel MPs spare us.If you do not agree with Pres. Sata please quit the party. why have you clinged to the PF brand? You are infact the ones involved in cheap politics. If you dont want to engage in cheap politics, then quit the PF, leave the party alone. Some of you PF rebel MPs would never have seen parley if you did not stand on the PF brand. the PF is a good brand as at now, it is a house hold name and you chaps saying all sorts of nonse about Ba Sata have no touch with reality. Mulobeka and group please leave the PF alone just quit and stop wasting our time, for noe you are useless to us the people of luapula

  11. Let us a have a meaningful opposition which will work with government regardless of their differences. This culture of hate must stop.

  12. Cheap politics? We know Katele and Machungwa have to tread very carefully on icy water other wise they may find themselves in jail. These are not honest people. Any one believing them must very blind to fail that these chaps are the one who are cheap politicians.

  13. The PF rebel MPs are nothing but a selfish bunch of poliyical failures. The principled would have resigned from PF.They haven’t resigned coz they do not want to forfeit their gratuities.Thats why Dr.Fundanga has said the educated are the biggest plunderers.Look at a guy like Patrick Chsanga or Bob Sichinga,he disagreed with HH in UPND and the honourable thing they did was to resign.Let them prove their popularity,Sata has dared them to resign but they won’t coz they know they will lose pathetically.Clearly, the PF rebel MPs are a petty group practising politics of poverty, politics of the stomach.

  14. Resign and we see if U can win that seat on the MMD ticket. Rebel PF MPs are finished politicians with no agenda but to just get money from MMD’s NCC. Time is going we shall see if all of u can win without King Cobra’s support.

  15. The MPS are right we shall not develop if we politic too much on the expense of development. MPS are chosen to represent the people whether as opposition or in ruling party. No wonder these MPS are labels because the understand issues differently. Keep it up . By the way you are labels to King cobra not to people who voted for you. VIVA

  16. What’s up in Luapula? Is Sata their man or is it RB? Is Luapula a PF stronghold? On what grounds?

Can RB make in-roads into Luapula?

If you have PF MPs speaking like this, apparently contrary to their party and leader, it’s possible that voting patterns come 2011 could be different to those in 2006. Can one project 2011 based on 2006?

If we have some political observers on the blog, please enlighten us.
