The opposition United Party for National Development new member Professor Clive Chirwa has demanded for a public apology from Chibombo MMD Chairperson Lloyd Kayeka for calling him a liar and a thief who entered the party through a window. He said this in a statement to Lusakatimes yesterday.

Prof. Chirwa urged Kayeka to publicly apologise and if he fails to do it within 14 days he would consult his lawyers in London to institute preparations for legal proceedings against Mr. Kayeka.

“I request Kayeka to apologise for calling me a liar and a thief who entered MMD through a window. If he does not publicly do that within 14 days, I will instruct my lawyers in London to begin preparation for court proceedings,” Prof. Chirwa said.

Prof Chirwa clarified that he has never belonged to an MMD branch in Katuba Constituency. He said that was a member of Mwamba Luchembe branch in Mandevu constituency, where Lusaka District Chairperson signed his membership card in the presence of the district committee, as requested by the late President Levy Mwanawasa.

On February 9, at a at rally in Chisamba, Mr. Kayeka challenged Professor Clive Chirwa  to state the branch in Katuba constituency from which he joined the party.

Speaking before Vice President George Kunda addressed the rally at Chisamba grounds, Mr. Kayeka charged that Prof. Chirwa was a liar who could not prove his claims because no party register in Katuba constituency carried his name.

‘Your honour that man (Prof. Chirwa) is a liar. We do not know him at all. These are the people who enter through a window and we did not see him,’ he charged.

And on hearing about his resignation, MMD spokesperson Dora Siliya, said Clive Chirwa was not a member of the ruling party and therefore claims that he had resigned from the party are baseless.

“I am shocked to hear Prof Chirwa’s tantrums because the man is not our member. He has never been a member of the MMD and so he does not have the right to talk about the party matters but I will assume he was expressing his opinion,” Ms Siliya said at the time.

Prof. Chirwa has been at the center of controversy in MMD following his intention to aspire for the Party’s presidency until he decided to ditch it this year to Join UPND.

In July last year Prof. Chirwa refuted the same assertions that he was not a genuine member of the ruling MMD adding that the people who were claiming that he was not a legitimate member of the MMD were bent on spoiling his political aspirations.

In January this year Prof. resigned from MMD to join UPND and cited many reasons for his leaving the party such as corruption, failure to improve manufacturing industry, agriculture, kneeling to donors for help, failing to improve the education system in the country, and for failing to reduce poverty.

He said he was a happy member of UPND a party that respects its members and said he would help the PACT to win 2011 elections.

  1. mmmmmmmm chisuma ichi! mmm handsome man uyu chirwa. teti nishe girlfriend navo. awe nganalimwanakashi kuti chani maka.mmm mwaaah. deuces bane:)>-

  2. Dora Siliya is a liar and ought to apologise too. Even LPM and RB knew that prof Chirwa was a member of MMD and if am not mistaken RB even had a meeting with him recently. It is dangerous and depressing to be led by leaders who lie with a straight face. She is busy telling teachers to be role models and what kind of example is she setting by lying publicly like this. It is a disgrace really. Zambia deserves better than this

  3. Good Evening

With all due respect, Prof. Chirwa would manifest wisdom and integrity by putting his mind over the matter and ignoring such ill-conceived allegations. As a political aspirant, one would expect him to know that there are more attacks of this sort to come ahead of his career. Political battles cannot be won with apologies.

We already know why he changed camps from MMD, and now all eyes are on him to see what he can deliver on the opposition side. I only hope he does not get carried away by the perpetuation of his own personal image and thereby forget/fail to convince us that he is able to change Zambia.

  4. Why are people so consumed with self-importance?

    An apology for what?

This is what you get in politics. There is a lot mud-slinging and more is yet to come if the professor chooses to remain in Zambian politics. Just today I read on the post that Father Bwalya also wants an apology from the Times of Zambia over a story he is not happy about.

Just see how RB does his things – he’s learned to grow a thick skin. The man is literally insulted left, right, centre to the point of appealing to the nation to switch off their radios whenever people are insulting him. He has also said that insulting elderly people like himself is actually pornography!!

    Imagine that…

Another example FTJ – the man has suffered insults, false allegations…you name it; yet he still thrives in what…

  5. #3 Nine Chale you are very right. I would have expected to have this man ignore such. I guess he’s crying for attention. But on the real, this incident has spoken volumes about the insistent professori’, he is just as petty as the rest of them. Instead using this space to offer solutions for our problems, he would rather engage in petty politics. Shame…

  6. What do you expect from a remote control political career.#3 is right what will he achieve with a public apology, infact its not as if prof has an established political clout.if it wasnt for lt,i honestly woudnt even know him.these are the degree holder candidates u want ka.am disappointed, expected much more from him.

  7. Prof.Chirwa is a lost soul.what Chirwa needs to learnis that African politics are so different from the western type.Continuing to argue about his membership just belittles the youngman. He can take a leaf from Zuma ,the man who has put ear plugs through out his career. His behaviour reflects his inability to lead, he must just confine himself to classroom behaviour management where reigns. He is even very lucky the foul mouthed Teta has rushed to meet Jesus ,otherwise he would have polished like grain and left to crack in the sun.Dont go into politics if light hearted.Dont waste time on that kawayawaya to the extent of engaging London lawyers because the man will never attend those court cases, and has no money to reward if found guilty ,in the end you will just look a fool.

  8. numba 8 awe. nangu ka plastic surgery can do wonders. you have just made my reproducitve organ shrink. pliz even stealing your friends pic nkasako. i know you did not want to be made that way but save us from penis (reproducitve orgran) heart attacks. we still want to carry out our citizenship duty and right of populating zambia. deuces iwe ka kolwe iwe. :)>-

  9. If it wasn’t for the MMD, no one would even know who Prof. Clive Chirwa is. This is just turning ant hills into mountains. How has your career in London been affected by the statement from MMD chairperson Lloyd Kayeka? How has your image in London ( i believe were you are based) been affected?

In Zambia, very few (with exception with those in Metro areas ie Lusaka, CB and line of rail) knew who you are. Did you establish yourself politically in Zambia or were you blogging presidency in the POST like Henry Kyambalesa who blogs presidency on LT and The Lusaka Paper 24/7. Stop it with the petty issues. All we want to hear is what you’re going to do for Zambia and not petty politics to gain political mileage.

Anyway this is the sort of politics the PACT thrives in.

  10. numba 11. you are not getting a brown envelope for your blogging or support. so pliz relax mune. ukafwa na bp over useless issues mune. deuces. elo chi shina chove i dont like it. ever thought of changing to something mor hip like njovu? deuces :)>-

  11. I personally think the professor has the right to sue anybody who is telling lies about him. Why in God’s name are the MMD so concerned about him if he was such an inconsequential person in the Party? He has left MMD, so why can’t they leave him alone and let us see if he can thrive in UPND.

The evidence is quite clear as to who is telling the truth here. And it is not the professor lying. Therefore, for these MMD operatives to keep insinuating that the professor somehow lied about his past affiliations with the MMD is wrong and malicious. So to shut them up, they need their behinds sued!!!

What is it that MMD is unhappy and worried about the professor? The man plainly stated his reasons for leaving MMD, if the truth hurts, well, that’s MMD’s problem not the Chirwa’s!!!

  12. The 15 valley chiefs are, Sikongo, Chipepo, Simaamba, Sinadambwe, Munyumbwe, Mweemba, Mukuni, Moomba, Nyawa, Musokotwane, Sikute, Sipatunyana, Simwatachela, Chikanta and Sinazongwe.

But when contacted for comment, UPND spokesperson Charles Kakoma said there was no justification for the traditional leaders to condemn the move because the leadership consulted generally.

Mr Kakoma said the party was under no constitutional obligation to consult the traditional leaders or the general membership, and entering into the pact had not affected their support in the province, adding that the number of wins in recent elections could attest to this fact.

  13. “I am left wondering where these chiefs are basing their arguments about the decision to join the pact having been wrong from. We have even done them a favour by consulting them,” he said.

Chief Sinazongwe said in an interview yesterday said that Mr Hichilema had misjudged the situation by agreeing to join the pact with Mr Sata and his continued stay in the group was worrying traditional leaders in the province.

The chief said Mr Hichilema should have consulted the traditional leadership extensively and it would have been through such that we could have advised him about the reservations, pros and cons that we had.

  14. And according to a named source who attended the Sinazeze meeting, the councilors contended that Mr Sata and the PF was ready in full gear preparing for the 2011 polls without due consideration to the aspirations and commitments of the pact.

The meeting also observed people like Mr Madyenkuku who was supporting Mr Sata and the pact had in the past lamentably failed in the MMD, then they moved and failed again in the FDD and now they wish to destabilise the UPND.

And in separate interviews, Chiefs Chipepo and Sinazongwe have deplored the insults and disrespect perpetuated by Mr Sata on President Banda.

  15. Chief Chipepo said he was incensed at the manner some dailies were peddling insults allegedly uttered by politicians against others, saying not only was it morally wrong to pour invectives on leaders but it was also traditionally and biblically incorrect to perpetuate such behaviour.

Citing verses in the Holy Bible in the book of Romans, Chief Chipepo warned that those who poured scorn on the leadership would themselves have to contend with the same kind of treatment if they assumed offices of authority.

  16. PF MP Blasts FR Bwalya

PATRIOTIC Front Wusakile Member of Parliament, Barnabas Chella has said former Radio Icengelo station manager Frank Bwalya is a failed church leader who now wants to bring divisions by hiring people to jeer priests who do not support his active involvement in politics.

Reacting to the jeering of St Francis Wusakile Parish priest Justin Chimba by some supporters of Father Bwalya when he advised the outspoken Catholic priest to stop using the church for his political messages, Mr Chella said it was sad that Fr Chimba was taunted for giving wise advice to his colleague.

Mr Chella condemned the jeering of Fr Chimba and cautioned Zambians against falling prey to political rhetoric of some clergymen using the Church for their personal agendas.

  17. Ba Chirwa, take a deep breath…

Politics of the mouth are what has got Zambia in this rut

Your actions will tell us what kind of a leader you are and not the rumblings of another man.

  18. mwata your mother is a very “nice” and “sweet” woman. i “personally” know her. so behave yourself

  19. “I am just a force to reckon with in the province and some people are just uncomfortable because there is nothing wrong I have done apart from accompanying Dr Chiluba to some of the places he visited during a private visit to the Copperbelt recently,” Mr Findlay said.

  20. This man is not conveying the impression of being sreetwise……consult his london lawyers…yeh?….Who the f…k does he think he is?…..
……Well i understand he is supposed to be a smart chap. He is not showing it here..!

  21. mwata you remember when your mum used to come to our ka nthemba to buy those loli pops. she really liked them, she would suck suck suck suck my lolipops. and would come back for more everytime. greet her for me please

  22. MWATA, you seem to have no opinion of your own … why the cut and paste? You can’t read news from other sources without cutting it for LT bloggers? Useless, boring …

  23. ba chirwa why use lawyers in london when we have competent lawyers in zambia. you are just like every other politician zambia has had so far who whenever they fall ill they seek treatment from abroad. you are a wolf in a sheep’s skin.

  24. # 3 Nine Charle, I see your point in that Mr Chirwa should be ready to stand more stomy attacks from his political opponets, but his action of sueing the said MMD Chibombo chairperson would help for constructive politiking than baseless attacks..However, I have some advice for my big brother Chirwa, if he want to make a difference in the lives of the people of Zambia he need to be there and experience the Zesco black out , the water shortage, the floods, the unemployment, than threatening legal action on peasant politicians who are more of cadres than leaders:o:o:o

  25. One big mistake Dr. Chirwa made was to quickly jump Parties. He will disappear into political oblivion soon. His response to this non-issue clearly shows that he is also becoming a HakaSata. Soon, we shall have a ChiHakaSata – that will not be good. He should be way above such pettiness as exhibited by Dora and her MMD cadre. I thought that Dr. Chirwa was going to go all the way to challenge the MMD at the Convention regardless of the circumstances. That would have been a noble fight to wedge – way Generals Tembo and Miyanda did until 3rd term bid crumbled.

  26. Ba profesa bazaba siliza vazoona. This man is not going anywhere if he takes matters personally. This is Zambian Politics where he needs to suit in as fa ake politician for his success in Zambian Politics. Genuine ones never form successful political leaders;)

  27. Politics of mouth diarrhea has reduced Zambia to nothing in the world, with his exposure to the outside countries in the world Pro. Chilwa should exibit politics of issues affecting people in zambia if he really want to make a difference in his political ambitions and if only he also want to win the hearts of majority zambians living underpoverty lines. Its not worth it for him to involve himself in petty politics with people like Dora silly, RB and his crew. He should also be reminded that politics is a game of fixing each other, so threatening his counter parts who have no basis for allegations wont archieve him anything

  28. Mr. Professor Sir, I have no doubt you have read the marjority of these comments. Come down from your high horse, our people are continually suffering due to the big headedness of aspiring leaders like you. Why you want to fight little battles with missiles- to what ends? I n I fail to tell the difference btn the accused and thyself. Be humble. I n I know you used “London Lawyers” to elevate thyself thinking it gives thy ammunition, but look now you are a laughing stock instead of the “politicial starring” you have failed to be. Though we do not carry heavy titles such as “Professor” as you do, take heed to the wise words from brethren such as Nine Chale, Nkani Yamu Kachasu, etc….Blessings.

  29. Well I think there has been enough advise for the learned professor from blogger. I will not be the one to beat a dead horse. We wish him well in his so called new home in the PACT. To bad that he will be in the losers circle come 2011. And welcome to the real world mr professor

  30. Dora Dora Dora, I thought she had other better ways of using those lips of hers than giving lousy happy ending BJs. Of what benefit is it of her to go out telling such lies that Chirwa was never an MMD member before checking her facts? It was the same carelessness she xhibited in signing that MOU for sale of ZAMTEL without realising what she was commiting the country to. And this is what Bwezani terms a smart girl, atase! Awe sure, ndiye kusiyana siyana kwama office uku nditu!

  31. #3, I wonder what world you are living in my friend. This has nothing to do with growing a thick skin and for all I care you can grow yourself a crocodile armour skin but if you go out there peddling in stinking alright lies, you must see your day in court. It was Sata who pioneered all this culture of lies with his wild allegation that Kaunda was stockpiling arms at Sindamisale and since then, all manner of lepers, vultures, hyenas have found the Zambian political landscape a fertile ground to desecrate without any consequences. Look at Dora, what has she got to say for her statements now? How can you have entire ministers letting their mouth run loose like this? This is not oral s.e.x. she is administering, no! You bet she’s lousy at it too!

  32. london lawyers!! the fearsome london lawyers!!!
kayeka should start shaking in his boots!!
    apologise now!! now!!!!!!
just think about this. this is someone who would have us believe that he is presidential material right?
well the way things are in zambia with the insults brigade, it looks like the london lawyers will have to come and camp on our doorsteps as there will surely be continuing insults and slander into the presidency

  33. The Dr Chirwa Clive is now bringing politics of sanity in Zambia instead of the insults that MMD is perpetrating.

I just like his “Prof Chirwa clarified that he has never belonged to an MMD branch in Katuba Constituency. He said that was a member of Mwamba Luchembe branch in Mandevu constituency, where Lusaka District Chairperson signed his membership card in the presence of the district committee, as requested by the late President Levy Mwanawasa” and hope MMD Spokesperson and Ministerless Dora Siliya will give a comprehensive statement on her loose talk quoted above.

    Have a blessed day all.

  34. Prof., excuse my ignorance. Card No. 1214314 dated 3rd September 2007 shows that your constituency is Lusaka Central where Dr Guy Scott is the MP. Your receipt of 21st May 2009 bearing card No. 1214314 shows that your constituency is Mandevu where Jean Phiri is the MP. Jonas (Shakas) Shakafuswa, MP claimed that you got registered in his constituency (Katuba) and it was in the papers – see Post of 6 September, 2007. Now am confused. Is it mwembeshi nangu advanced multi-membership or what?

  35. Mwata, go and hang, the devil is with you. Chiefs, chiefs, chiefs, scared little men. 15 chiefs in gwembe valley my foot! shushushus you re in for it. The day of judgement is at hand. you cant keep on cheating GOD’s people with impunity, ABASH MMD:-t

  36. Welcome to zambian politics Prof Chirwa.Ignore the mudslinging..beacuse many of them await u…even in the so-called PACT.U will not go anywhere at this rate….and if u don`t re-strategise..u better leave politics and go back to your Enginneering. Many people in these parties are uncouth cadres…very raw..they dont give a sweet jesus if you are a professor or what…they will make u come out like u have never even been inside a class room….Therefore, here is my straight-faced advice: Never play in mud with a pig…because the pig loves that so much!

  37. I also demand a public apology from all you bloggers. Today is my birthday and no one has yet to send me any birthday wishes. It is a pity I cannot consult my SADC Lawyers on this one…Cheers…:)):)):))

  38. Pro. Chirwa has the right to sue or defend himself if any one callf him a thief what some people in Zambia don’t know is that life is about making choices some of us made a choice to leave Zambia for Uk or any were around the world because it is what we wanted and we are very comfortable people but we do not insult any one, we are many proffessionals with big jobs here and no should call us a thief because we have worked hard to be were we are, we can use any lawyers we want around the world were we live because it is our money that we will pay .So please some of you people who write funny comments here decide what you want to do with your life some of us have it all because of hard work thank you.

  39. I said this before, that remote control politician will not go anywhere. those who are honest and have your interests at heart Mr mighty engineer, have advised you correctly. Threatening to unleash your london lawyers on a cadre just shows how not only petty but very distant you are from the real Zambian political landscape. Come to zambia, come and sleep in dirty tents with the electorate, come mix with the lowest class of people, then make such threats people will listen, no atti I will instruct my london lawyers, london lawyers, hahahaha, embarassing, get serious mudala you are making a fool of yourself. Now if you read the blog, take advise from #3, 7, 29 33 and 44.and most importantly,I say this again drop the electronic campaign, and farmiliarise yourself with real issues. Good luck.

  40. It is amazing to see these die hard foolish MMD carders , please check Kamwala , kanyama, mandevu and senenga these place are full of water and your brothers and sister are suffering terribly please have mercy on them .Check Kenneth Kaunda house , Pemba town ,Mongu , twatasha (kitwe) , wusakile ( Kitwe and tanzania road in Livingstone they all look like they were heavy bombed several times. Now what are proud of you useless MMD chaps .PLEASE WELL MEANING ZAMBIAN WORK UP VOTE FOR THE PACT HH/SATA KWASILA, CHAPWA, KWAMANA,IFELELE FULL STOP.No more these MMD criminals and their chi RB

  41. Judge Smith in London atleast delivered a favourable judgement in Chiluba’s plunder case. He ordered Chiluba to pay the over $40M he store. I believe this is the background Prof is coming from, knowing and believing that he will be able to get a fair case head in London against this politicle minion from the MMD. Fair reasoning.

  42. Prof Chirwa, your card is good enough to silence Dora and all the other MMD caders. But don’t lose your reputation and money by sueing an MMD cader. We would like to see you become president one day. But what kind of president will you be if you’re quick to sue all those who call you names? How many people will you sue in your politicallife? Have you forgotten that many in politics do lie to their teeth? Bwana, just withdral your threats because the MMD cader is not going to apologise. A word to the wise is enough. Ignore the advise given here & you’ll ruin your political carreer because of the wise people like I who support you will never cast a vote for you for being quick tempered & ignoring sound advise.

  43. Ba Professor! We understand that London is in the commonwealth anbd that you can sue anywhere. Will you foot the bills for Kayeka’s travels to the UK when you have failed yourself to come and visit Katete? What nosense is coming from this ‘Laboratory Politician?’ Professor I advise you to concetrate on inproving TOYOTA ENGINES, their braking systems and ACCELERATION. Leave Zambia to native Zambians. Concetrate on ENGINES there in the UK. Makaka iwe konswe

  45. Lloyd Kayeka You are in deep trouble. Prof Clive Chirwa will still push the case in the London court even when you wont travel to UK. After the Judgement in absentia (since you can not buy a ticket to attend court proceeding), the Judgement will be enforced in Zambia like the Chiluba case. Lelo, Poverty is no excuse your masters will run away. Just appologise you shall be pardoned or convicted to pay $1m dollars as compasation. Ukayifunya kwi. We shall grab your pigs, goats and your village hut. Lelo Lelo

  46. this is the type of mediocre leadership we have even in govt offices..they refused the prof isnt a member of mmd now..the truth has come out..whos is the liar and foolish..its mmd spokesperson and cadres!!viva Clive and pact!

  47. this is the type of mediocre leadership we have even in govt offices..they refused the prof isnt a member of mmd now..the truth has come out..whos is the liar and foolish..its mmd spokesperson and cadres!!viva Clive and pact!!they didnt have the facts b4 refuting to ur calims..they are now foolish!

  48. #44, Webman, You have made my day! Needless to add that when the fearsome London lawyers arrive to serve him summons, Kayeka will think they are boers from South Africa looking for land and when they serve him the summons, he wont even know where the High Court is located. Chirwa may know the law E= mc**2 but he certainly doesn’t know the law in the streets of Zambia. Chirwa be serious. if you want to be a leader in Zambia first learn how to share a water mellon under a tree after breaking it on the hard ground. That is what we used to do with Dr. Eli Mwanangonze. Do you copy.

  49. I wish some of these chaps knew who Prof.Chirwa is here very comfortableman nothing to lose my friends travel the world and open up your eyes why travel to katete when there better places to visit that is pure nonsence.

  50. A man died and went to Heaven. As he stood in front of the Pearly Gates, he saw a huge wall of clocks behind him. He asked, “What are all those clocks?”.St. Peter answered, “Those are Lie-Clocks. Everyone on earth has a Lie-Clock. Every time you lie, the hands on your clock move.”
“Oh”, said the man, “Whose clock is that?”
“That’s Miyanda’s”, replied St. Peter “The hands have never moved, indicating that He never told a lie.”“Incredible.” said the man “And whose clock is that one?”St. Peter responded, “That’s Levy’s clock. The hands have moved twice, telling us that Levy told only two lies in his entire life.”“Where is Sata’s Clock?” “God is using that as a ceiling fan in his office”“What about the clocks for the PF MPs?” St Peter…

  51. #3 Nine chale I have been following your bloging epecially after you won the LT blogging challenge my conclution is that you lack substance and critical analitical skills. You try to be gentle and fake to be polite but my dear the LT award is nothing and I urge to be focused and aim for the bigger awards in life otherwise you shall be a loser like veteran and patriotic and senior citizen. Hope you will not take this as a personal attack just a friendly critic.

  52. Good Morning

#43 Marvellous Martin Hagler you have rightly observed that there exists a culture of lies and wild allegations in politics but I think it takes men of honour and sound ethic calibre to rise above such sadistic politics.

I think Zambians have had enough of self-obsessive and point-scoring politics. They would rather see Prof. Chirwa’s leadership credo and development agenda. At the momment he only seems to be joining the mainstream of solipsistic micropolitics.

We need to move away from politics of “ME” – my degree, my lawyers, my pain, my anger, my party… we need to reconnect to the ordinary Zambian people. It’s all about THEM. Their blackouts, their evictions, their diseases, their joblessness…

  53. #4.
U’re the useless creature on earth.Hope u were on jupiter or born in mars. we understand maybe u were high the time u sent this msg, mwana rupiah.mulya bonse chitusha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  54. I am sorry to say Professor Chirwa could be trading his so called popularlity too far. Has he considered the fact that this may be a forged card? We know that any Matero printer can print a party card. These cards have no special security features and unless the card number is traced from the same batch as those being held by the MMD Secretariat then I am sorry Dora and this Chibombo man are free to say the guy is not a member of their party. Chirwa must ensure his MMD card is genuine before he takes court action otherwise if it is proved his card was a forgery then it’s him who will be in the chooks… One way he can do this is by checking with Katele or the Treasurer at if this money was received by the Provincial MMD Treasurer and if it was indeed remitted to the Party HQ.

    Another…

  55. Another thing I have noticed is that the majority of Russian Trained men and women who could not make it to UNZA have come back as Professors of some sort. Why is it so? You will find that 9 out of 10 Zambian professors were at some point in time in Russian schools. Others failed 1st or 2nd year at UNZA and were given Russian scholarships to some African only University or something like that in Russia, and came back as Dr., Professor, or MSc’s., rarely do you get one come back with a humble bachelors degree. And for some reason they all tend to be extremely vocal…If you think I am lying just do a check for yourself.

  56. #67 Shi mucita panono..

Excuse me sir/madam. It baffles my mind how the LT award come into all this, but if your criticism is aimed at my analytic ability and contributions to this site, I will certainly respond.

I also admit that my past analyses DO contain occasional minor errors of a type indicating:

(1.) I do not know EVERYTHING, and (2) neither do all my postings carry substance.
Moreover, I also wish to state that there is a wide range of analytic skill among the contributors to this site (including the ones you’ve mentioned!) and any person with a bit of faith in the boundlessness of human ability will agree that we can ALL learn from each other. I personally hope we ALL continue to grace this site with our collective analysis.

  57. Nine Chale you are better than your critics! I enjoy your contributions! Just ignore the (kayekas) cadres on this blog. Some people here think it is a sin to find something wrong in politicians in the Pact.

  58. #67 Jealousy and envy!
Nine Chale does not post any differently after getting the LT Best Blogger Award. I bet he has even forgotten that he got the award! In fact nobody here gives a damn about the LT award but YOU! If you want it sooo badly, pulling others down, jealousy and envy won’t help you get one – try other means!
I bet you even have a degree in fimofimo? Lord have mercy!

  59. #71,72 mwamoneni kwena ulimukopo.Do your research propery twapapata, your thinking is not more than my std 5 child.Google the ratings of universities, see where UNZA is.To question some guys’ qualifications like Chirwa, you must go beyond chainama. No wonder Zed can not move.Even countries which were at war are far much better than us.

  60. reading through comments I see how un-united we Zambians are.KK did a commendable job in uniting us now we seem so divided.its MMD vs Pact, graduates from Unza vs graduates from Russia, those who didn’t win LT awards vs those who won an LT award, degree holder vs diploma/certificate/streetwise holder, those for Prof Chirwa vs those against……the list goes on.Lets agree to disagree and aim for a better Zambia.we all believe we are experts but lets acknowledge that we may be wrong sometimes. well happy blogging- your divergent views make for an interesting read

  61. It is being mentally challenged to think that a wrong shouldn’t be corrected. I personally would go to any length to salvage my name, especially from bad-mouthing MMD fellas like this twit in Chibombo & the likes of Dora. Clive is just right on. This world is about fighting for one’s rights. Why let yourself be trumpled upon. Come on this is 21st century men!

  62. Mr professor Chirwa just stay in the UK where you have the investments, why should you come and trouble us when you never did anything for this country. you want to become the biggest plunderer? Please twapapata. people want to see and hear what you have done for zambia in the past, tell us. We are not looking for the rich and the PhD people, we are looking for leaders to help in building this nation. People who able to sacrifice not people who think because they are highly learned and they therefore can rule.

  63. Prof chirwa is right on. Zambian politicians must desist from telling lies. Sue them. Let this kayeka chap tell the nation where he saw you stealing.what did you steal? Ect….
On #mwamoneni. UNZA is not ranked .

  64. this so called prof chirwa, the man doesnt even think our lawyers are good enuf, if he makes it to plot 1 wont he be consulting the queen of england to rule. shame on you prof, am very disapointed in you. dnt respond to liers as tho u are a woman. hope am not the next to be sued with london lawyers

  65. nine chale walikwata girlfriend. am lonely mune. i go both ways. wawumfwa? i like men like you. am a man but i like seeing power in men. am sure you blessed na power panshi napena. valekumfwa wino pa blogg. you are now a ka star. i only date ama star ine. landa tumfwe chi mwawume iye mmmmh mwaah. deuces mune:)>-

  66. President Mwanawasa advised Professor Chirwa to be a registered MMD member to justify his claims, that was when Professor went to register. He is just power hungry, he thaught everyone will just turn to him and support him. He must start working on his politics properly otherwise his PhD will not save him from embarassments when he prooves to fail. We must see sense in whatever he is saying and doing. Talking alone will not move a zambian to vote for him.

  67. Happy birthday ba Major…have a lovely & blessed day.
#3 Nine Chale…I enjoy reading your comments…I find them mature & well thought out. Finally, I would like to wish Pof. Chirwa the best of good luck.
NB To Prof Chirwa, (if at all you reading this); next time you have a speaking meeting organized for UK based Zambians, can you please ensure that you organize a day time meeting for a change? Driving the streets of London at night has its own likely hazards especially if one driving is not too familier with the geography of the city.

  68. angel light from the streets of addis ababa to london streets awe cha chine. dont worry u will know the geography soon and all the hidden corners=)). deuces iwe muntu iwe :)>-

  69. angel light that is something you should have raised after the meeting. eku tontonkanya waumfwa? dont sit quiet and shy. u will be only creating bad breath which will embarrass you further =)). deuces waumfwa?:)>-

I surely do not need the LT award I personally like and enjoyed Nine chale’s blogs but latelly I have not just seen any substance in his blogs and offered my critic to him. I am not a jelousy person in any way and did not mean to attack him

  71. 73 Nine chale the LT award came in because of course you attracted attention and you are probably one of the few people that I take time to read their blogs but in my view you are to careful not to offend making some of your blogs sound baseless or lack substance. I definately did not mean to attack you my bro as some people on the blog want to put it.

  72. #91 Shi muchita… it’s all good, bro. No hard feelings on my side. I personally prefer dealing with such conflicts blogger to blogger and I didn’t expect so many people to get wrapped up in our little skit-fit. On the other side, it just shows how concerned people are about the spirit of constructive dialogue on this site and that is a good thing for the site in general.

Well, as my initial response to you indicates, I am always learning from others on this site and I hope we get over any grievances we had and move on positively together as we analyse issues affecting our nation.

Many thanks to all those who have stuck up for me. I think I need a rest now…:-w

  73. Professor Chirwa,i would prefer you as candidate for the UPND/PF pact.My question is,when are you hitting base in Zambia so you can start the campaigns.Let me have your contact details then we can put up a strategy called Zambia 2011 and beyond.

  74. Some of the comments here are just alright gutter stuff! You honestly wonder why God endowed most Zambians with such a wealth of s.t.u.p.i.d.i.t.y, or maybe they its drugs they are on to behave in a manner remniscent of embaciles. Chirwa’s grievance is genuine and why anyone would demean him by asking him to develop a crocodile skin to uncalled for and clearly malicious innuendos from mercenary party cadres vexes me most deeply. This culture of peddling in lies Sata and Chiluba engendered has festered and taken root in our society. Maybe next time one says lies about you, hire thyself some 44 mm magnum force arms and blast them to hell. This way people will fear to tell lies against innocent citizens.

  75. I am strong supporter of MMD, but I also believe the professor has got solutions to this country. just like number 95, I would be on his campaign train too even if he had to form his own party.

The man has done enough for BOEING, AIRBUS, NASA BMW ETC.

He can fail to run this FARM called ZAMBIA

  76. UNZA ia ranked #57 in Africa na d number 7016 in the world. This makes it no even amongst the lowest in Russia. #71 & 72 if you got you degree at UNZA start thinking ahead and see your Degree again. May be even the Degre that MCS has is better than yours in both credibility and quality despite it having accumulated alot of dust over the years. It was USSr and then broke into many nations. How many Universities are talking about?

  77. I think this man better get to work with his new party other than waste time fighting with MMD losers. He needs to establish himself and plan for the future. No need fighting over spilt milk:)

  78. The prof has realised that zambian politics is useless starting at the top. Therefore he is going for any post rather than that of president. Way to go ba mudala. But kayeka guy needs to apologise period. how many times the post has been sued for alleging to tell lies by Kafupi et al? More over most zed politicians are thieves hence they don’t complain if you call them as such.

  79. Zambians should be very analytical on issues and politicians. Prof Chirwa’s reasons for leaving MMD are corruption, failure to improve manufacturing industry, agriculture, kneeling to donors for help, failing to improve the education system in the country, and for failing to reduce poverty. The question is when did MMD ‘failures’ occur? Why has it taken so long for the Professor to realise this? Does he realise that some of those in the PACT were part of the issues he has raised. The Prof. should be truthfull as to why he has left MMD.
Zambia’s problems go beyond political parties. The independence of the Judiciary, legislature and exexecutive are key to see the problems Zambia faces being erradicated or reduced. The legislature needs to be above board of very high quality.
