  1. It’s always sad to hear such terrible news. Let’s hope it is is not an act of xenophobia. Does the abandoned police hat signify that they have no clue??

  2. Doesn’t this Lebanese have a name? What kind of journalism is this? Or is it that the name isn’t necessary to publish here? I think if the name was mentioned, it would somehow even help the police in their investigations!!
Too bad however for this kind of death…Very cruel!!!

  3. The heading is very misleading. How does the reporter know that the man was burnt to death without carrying out a postmortem to determine how he died? it is possible he was killed somewhere else, or shot dead then burn his body. Until the cause of the death is known we cant say he was burnt to death

  4. #9 Nine Chale, The abandoned police hat means the police are off duty and not available for comment.

  5. Apparently, Fr. Bwalya borrowed money from this guy and failed to pay back. This guy threatened Bwalya and promised to report him to the police. The next day he was found burned to death in his home by unknown people.

  6. Hey, i thought it was a wild rumour. I heard the same story too. Ati they burned him the way the catholic church would burn people at the stake in the 15-1600’s. It was a pure religious killing. I heard the money borrowed was for the red card campign tee shirts and cards procurement.

  7. So #17 NDOBO ku malota, was correct! These are PF cadres sent by Fr. Bwalya to dispose of a money lender who is owed money. Shame!

  8. :-w In Kitwe : Expect more terror in Kitwe, it seems to me, the man killed was associated with both drug business and copper deals with no doubt involved, but why would they Kill him over that? the answer is SIMPLE people are too desperate esp in Kitwe where money was an easy come easy go (in circulation) a few years ago unlike now its become hard (nuts are tight) to find money, and people are reaching extremes when a deal goes bad. Zambian police lack resources and they need to step up because the game is becoming harder. they need DNA forensics etc, they need education from abroad not amongst themselves and our Government should focus on a budget for such things. anyone can get away with murder!easy. We need to step up as a Country.love Zambia, but feels unsafe.Shud we be the Police?
