Edith Nawakwi accuses George Kunda of plotting murder against her

Share

Forum for Democracy and Development (FDD) leader, Edith Nawakwi says the statement attributed to vice president, George Kunda warning her that one day she will find herself in a ditch if she is not careful with the remarks she is making lately amount to plotting murder against her.

Mr. Kunda was quoted in one of the daily newspapers as saying that Ms Nawakwi has won her recognition wrongly and would very soon fall in a ditch because government cannot allow a situation where the President is being insulted.

Ms. Nawakwi says it is shameful that MR.KUNDA, who she describes as an absentee minister of justice, has chosen to focus so much on crushing her and her reputation at the expense of his job.

She says it is the expectation of the general public that the vice president would have by now, advised the republican president to declare the flood situation in the country a national disaster.

She says it is worrying her to see Mr. Kunda persistently attack her for every statement she makes.

Ms Nawakwi has since challenged the vice president to clearly explain to her which ditch she will soon find herself in.

She has also urged him to focus on other issues that are more important and beneficial to the people of Zambia and stop threatening her.

  1. yes .nawakwi is now any ememy of Rb .the mmd govt should know that should anything happen to her ,we will know who is responsible and we will not stop there .

  2. I like Ms Nawakwi’s courage and bold stance. On “She says it is the expectation of the general public that the vice president would have by now, advised the republican president to declare the flood situation in the country a national disaster” I hope Minister Veep George Kunda will take this matter seriously.

    Have a blessed day all.

But seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you.

  3. #1 and 2 Nawakwi is a very disshonest person and very selfish. She uses people and dump them. e.g Late Gen Tembo, Enerst Mwansa, The Old Man who sent her to School with a view to marrying her but was later dumped, she will never have a piece of mind. Whom want to kill her? may be those women whose husbands she has grabbed. Let her clear her issues

  4. This woman is a R.A.T – every time shes talking, its all divisive.
Now she wants to contest Mufumbwe election instead of working with the existing force. Am sorry this woman has out lived her usefulness.PERIOD.

  5. Edith you are just digging your own ditch. You are not the only one with the so called freedom to express yourself. Other people have also got the freedom and right to respond or counsel you. That is not intimidation.

Each time you open your mouth nowadays, just like Sata it STINKS!

  6. But, chizungu chavuta kuZambia. Metaphors and idioms are translated literally! I actually heard that people died in Lusaka because cats and dogs were falling on them from the sky! If Edith with a BA in Economics, a Masters degree to boot, and first woman to be Finance Minister and to lead a political party, can’t understand English, bazachita bwanji ba ng’wang’wazi na ba kabova?

  7. #11 iyayi si chizungu funny as these things sound, she may have a point because remember TIA this is africa, anything is possible Katele Kalumba is MMD n is a well known socerer/wizard nfwiti indoshi. N being bemba i konw that folk don’t use certain words accidentally while it may not be necessarily what he meant, i wudn’t put it past him.

  8. BA EDITH BAYA MU-GEAR 2 NOMBA. CRYING WOLF? YOU HAVE “ERECTED” THE RING.SO YOU MUST STAY IN IT.CRYING MURDER WON”T HELP YOUR REPUTATION NOW. REMEMBER HOW YOU USED TO INSULT BA KAUNDA WHEN YOU WERE COMING INTO POWER? PLEASE FEEL THE HEAT.VERY SOON SHIKULU SATA WILL ADD SOME SALT ON YOUR INJURIES.BUT I PERSONALLY THINK YOU VERY HARDWORKING LADY.PLEASE COME OUT OF POLITICS AND STOP WEARING THAT BLACK HEAD WRAPPER.

  9. She is just haping. The pro hus grabber is now dirrectionless. She and akulumpuna are just the same. Maybe RB refused to hit it out with her.

  10. I have failed to sympathize with this woman myself. She caused many of us pain when she flew in a Helicopter with RB campaigning for him. I was in Kapiri Mposhi one time when she was given the podium to address the RB rally. Among her many words were:-

Today is the beginning of change……..
    RB is the right man…….
Don’t be cheated by cattle wrestlers (probably referring to HH)
Don’t be cheated by criminals who promise to put money in your pockets (probably referring to Sata)

What has now changed? Madam Nawakwi, we have forgiven you for causing us pain; for giving us sleepless nights while you flew from place to place, in an Air-conditioned Helicopter, with RB.

But you owe us an apology before we see sense in all you say.

  11. Naimwe ba Nawakwi, who would want to kill you? You have finished yourself off in the eyes of right thinking people, the way Mpombo and indeed the great Sata… himself have done. I am sure that by now you may have noticed that wherever you go right thinking people avoid you like leprosy.

  12. Mulekeni alade. In any case she has the right to change her mind with regard to who she supports.

  13. There was a time when I thought this woman had sense. Unfortunately, she has been a let down for women in politics. She supported Shrek Nyamasoya in the last election, obviously hoping for a post in government or foreign service. When she realised that she had been used, she started carping on the sidelines. These people are all a bunch of challatans. The state of politics in Zambia is very saddening. We know that Kunda is evil, but even he knows he cannot get away with murder!
