Movement for Multi party Democracy MMD national chairperson Michael Mabenga has warned the opposition patriotic front PF and united party for national development UPND pact of a clear defeat in the next by elections to be held on the 29TH of April in Mufumbwe and Milanzi constituencies, respectively.
Mr. Mabenga says that the pact does not threaten the ruling party in the forthcoming elections because it has learnt its lessons and the seats at stake are already under the ruling party leadership.
He has therefore assured the two opposition parties who have merged to build a stronger force against government that the pact does not have a chance of scooping the next elections and the MMD is working tirelessly to maintain their seats.
He also states that his party has already learnt enough lessons from the two elections that were conducted in the recent past and it will not allow the forthcoming seats to go into the hands of the opposition.
He also maintains that his party is working within the electoral code conduct and currently, very observed of the laid down stipulations.
QFM
If only wishes were horses
they have learned the lessons.look at that .to the mmd govt it is about the campaign strategy.people voted u out in slowezi because the people are not happy with your perfomance .so the only way to win the future elections is to deliver to the peope.stop talking like a kid .
Those supporting Sata comment on this from the POST newspaper today and I quote
In South Africa you can buy a car with K70,000 rand equivalent but here that amount will only fetch you a bag of mealie-meal.” This is from Sata in the story titled Ongoing issuance of NRCs is discriminatory – Sata
People those of you who live here in SA, K70 000 pin is equivalent to R100.00. Can you really buy a car or even a decent mail at Spur Restuarant?. THis is the 90 days economic miracle this Sata peddles and pours on our informed people. This is a man not fit for ledership who used lies to get aheard.
Anyway we are brying them on 29th April. These lies are not sustainable.
Bootlicker; This is a brain teaser, only K7 million is required to buy 100 (one hundred cars). Such cars may not work during the day, or else everyone would rush to buy and demand would overwhelm supply. Anyway a research is needed to verify the claims and establish who the suppliers are, the models, technology used, quality etc. It can be a good tip of new innovations.
MMD Chief Bootlicker, you’re way out of line. The issue at hand is the bragging by Micheal Mabenga. Let me tell you and all of your likes. We will use the same strategy we used in Solwezi and Kasama to scoop these two seats as well. We have now realised that MMD has been winning by stuffing printed ballot papers after people have voted. I was in Solwezi and will be in Mufumbwe, sensitizing the people to stay on long after voting and guide there vote jealously. We will alert the people to sacrifice just this one this day for there posterity. Starting the previous elections up and until after 2011 we will be remaining at the Polling stations and only leave after counting and verification has been done and results annouced. Let’s see who will laugh the last
Well, well, well and I await the results of the two upcoming by-elections including the 2011 tripartite elections.
On another note ““I appeal to our members to be careful when they issue statements because irresponsible statements have the potential to dent the image of the party… “As you know, the reported tribal remarks by Mr Findlay have been condemned by the top leadership because this is not what the party stands for. We are a party which embraces all ethnic groupings, so we do not support tribal remarks,” he [Mr VJ Mwaanga] said reported by the Zambia Daily Mal makes interesting reading.
I hope Mr President RB and his MMD members will stop issuing tribal statements especially in the mighty Southern Province whenever they go there for some meetings.

Matt…
I also like MMD National Secretary Kaka’s ““We are witnesses of what is happening on the ground with regard to the UPND-PF pact. This pact is just on paper, otherwise the two parties are busy betraying each other by wooing members in each other’s territories. They are working against each other in the name of the pact” as reported by the Zambia Daily Mail.
I hope the “Dr Kalumba said UPND president Hakainde Hichilema is using his sound financial capacity to donate money to PF supporters in strongholds such as the Copperbelt Province to undermine the authority of his co-alliance partner Michael Sata” is tue and will work to the advantage of the mighty UPND so that the BUY-OUT of PF as in Business Studies is effective to the detriment of PF cadres.
Be blest all…
You said the same thing in Kasama and Solwezi and yet your party kissed dust.
Dan Kalale. Where is Dan Kalale? He is the MMD trump card. Equally to be watched are town clerks like Ali Simwinga and chaps like Katwishi at Ndola City Council. They are masters in matters rigging.
OK, so they are not threatened by the PACT, but the first thing any MMD official mentions when they open their mouths is PACT, UPND, PF. Still not threatened? Why not simply ignore the PACT if it really is a non-entity in Zambian politics?
As far as the by-elections go, I think it will be a split decision. MMD/UNIIP will take the Milanzi seat, because of course that’s in the UNIP stronghold. But the PACT will take the Mufumbwe seat, because the rest of the country is a PACT stronghold. Eastern Province always goes UNIP, that is a known historical fact. I just wish I would be proven wrong in this election. But I doubt it.
this man irritates everytime he opens his mouth..we need new politicians in zed..pliz do away with such corrupt leaders…
Bloggers Can you see the difference in campaigning between Democratically mature countries and eternal upstarts like Zambia? In Britain, I haven’t heard of any of the political parties there threatening the others with statements like “We shall win the election”. They merely go about wooing voters by explaining what policies they intend to bring and what changes are in store for the lives of the electorate. One party doesn’t tell the other “You have no chance”. These statements are empty of persuasion. They can only come from two bullies fighting each other and emptily trying to intimidate. Is that what politics is about?
Politics is about persuading people to vote for you with your ideas. Not wanting to show off your muscles or whatever secret plan you have for winning. Mr Mabenga should be telling us what the MMd has done to now sway votes that were going the other way. I am afraid even the opposition are the same over this petty bickering. Does that reflect our aptitudes in general?
To be close sure I think the mmd will get Milanzi while Mfumbwe will go to UPND ( The PACT) please mark my words
Of course Milanzi will go MMD because MMD is Kamwendo Munjila and its all kumawa kumodzi! Just make sure that in the next government, there is not a single Malawan just like Kamwendo Munjila has excluded all of Bantu Botatwe from his cabinet.
maestro and your hallucinations. U think upnd can buy out PF. Keep on dreaming basa. Muzonde Sata uzalema.
Maestro is another Headless Chicken. I thought it was only RB, looks as though we’ve got two more on the blog, Maestro and Senior Citizen. Get a life and start doing something else. Am sure the 20pin they give you for browing the Internet by George Kunda is not enough.
