Transparency international Zambia TIZ president, Rueben has advised the ruling movement for multi party MMD to avoid picking on corruption cases that are only beneficial to the party in power due to its political connotation.
In an interview with Qfm, Mr Lifuka reveals that even though government would argue to say that pushing forward its research on finding details to opposition patriotic front president, Michael Sata’s once upon a time confinement to a maximum prison is beneficial to the electorate in the country, it also shows that the government is only picking on cases that will be politically beneficial to MMD.
He said that it is very evident that all the information being revealed on the time Mr. sata served a prison sentence will be to the detriment of the PF and possibly the pact as well but to the benefit of the MMD.
He has therefore urged the MMD to give the very same attention in addressing the increasing number of government officials being highlighted in the auditor general’s report.

Mr. lifuka says that it is immoral for government to allow the misappropriation of such huge public resources go unnoticed while it pushes for cases such as Mr. sata’s all for the benefit of the MMD.
He says that President Banda and his government should set the national priorities way above party politics and tactics.
He says that people have so many unanswered questions and the MMD should not just get sentimental and focus on the issues that are being put forward by the people.

The man is right….As a Zambian I am tired of the witch-hunting we have observed of late….. All animals are equal, hence, all cases must be treated with an equal sense of urgency
This man is very intelligent patial and fairly
Good Morning
This is what we’ve been saying all along. There’s something seriously wrong with a government that spends money, time and energy maniacally persecuting a case that happened more than half a century ago, while a large number of it’s citizens are living on the edge.
I’m neither PF, UPND nor MMD since I do not live in Zambia but as a Zambian, I would love to see a party that would finally relate with the electorate and bring hapiness to the majority of Zambians in the economic, social, cultural, educational and political dimensions. This is the reason why I feel obliged whenever I have the chance to make a positive contribution on this democratic space alongside my fellow patriotic countrymen & women who voice the same cause.
Honestly speaking it is expecting rather too much from RB, anticipating him to be impartial. Would be suprised if RB was expected to perform more than his present self. The guy is just DULL, besides been OLD and TIRED. Don’t expect any thing more than this Reuben.
Very objective statement Mr. Lifuka. That is transparency indeed!!!! Keep it upi.
MMD , nowadays , operates in a similar style to the UNIP of old ……. The only difference now is that people can speak out.
These are chickens coming home to roost. Sata used the same actics with Chiluba and for all I care, he should enjoy swallowing his bitter and sour grapes silently. It’s like Malema in South Africa today, if anybody shot him down I will not shed a single one from my eyes, fya ku iletelela umwine sure!
#4, I agree with you. Its like expecting to smell good after sprying your nice perfume while sitted in a 10 year old and shallow pit latrine! I can never expect anything good from RB and the MMD.
It’s official now that prosecution of those who err is political. Well, it has been poltitical ever since I can remember. It was the case under Chiluba, although his main weapon was the ZRA – mainly against former Cabinet ministers who were opposed to him. So, now that Chiluba is the real powere behind Rupiah, we see the policy being enforced with more vengeance. Feelow citizens, we need to stop this at all costs. Our Judiciary is as partisan as any can be. In other words, we no longer have a government but kangaroos running the show. remember, you’re in the MMd today, and tomorrow, you’re not. You’re in the government today, tomorrow you’re not. The same way Sata, for instance, treated opposition mebers when he was Chiluba’s confidant, is the same way he’s being treated today.
cont. from # 9…We need to put A SYSTEM that’ll be fair to all in place. For you and me; for our children and their children. mangani and his master are a great danger to our country. Rulpiah should be sent packing to the village, and Chiluba should go to jail – that’s where these two belong. As for Mangani, Shika, etc. they’re small fish that we can fish out of the MMD drying pond. Theuy’re NOTHING!!! Cheap, trivial, worthless, not worth mentioning puppets…
The man has hit the nail on the head, thats what it should be RB admin should honestly think about the damage they are causing to so many Zambians by been sided, selective and manupilating the all judicial system in Zambia when dealing with serious issues such as corruption cases. By the way what is really the objective of Mangani fighting Sata over the alleged prison sentence he sata served 50 years ago?
Obviously partisan paralysis by MMD has maddening effects of unleveled political climate in the country, MMD has sunk into party dysfunction, they are too darned starbborn, Lat 5 years MMD has been the central cause of a surviving mood in the country.
Let us be honest and fair. Sata has committed an offence in 2008, 2006 and 2001 when he made a statutory declaration that he has never been convicted of a crime when filing his presidential nomination papers. This is a very serious offence and should not be swept under the carpet. Are you saying we should have a President who makes false declaraions.
thats the real talk Mr! only wise pll see that and reason that way.
JUDGE u need some common sense to reason like TIZ president. just shut the f-k up!
I salute you, Reuben, may the Lord bless you and protect you. It’s refreshing to read people like you who are not afraid to tell the truth. Lately, we have become jaded with the nonsense being spewed out every day by these politicians who want to keep Zambia in the dark ages. Deuces, man:)>-
TIZ are weird. hypocrites at times. why comment on Sata’s case only? we have other big dogs we need to sort out, like FTj, mahtani and maureen. but they have been blinded by hate for the ruling party. sad
JUDGE JUDY
Dont funny. Tell the Nation what Crime did Sata commit. He who alleged must prove the allegation. Noisence
