Patriotic Front (PF) Secretary General Winter Kabimba has challenged government to commence investigations over how he acquired his house when he served as Lusaka Town Clerk.
Responding to Home Affairs Minister Lameck Mangani ‘s threats to have him investigated on how he purchased a big house at K500, 000 on Independence Avenue during his tenure as Town Clerk, Kabimba said he has got relevant records under his ministry, he should prove his cases against him if he is man enough.
Mr. Kabimba said he has no time to worst on the cheap political tactics being exhibited by government through the Home Affairs Minister to blackmail him because he is not guilty.
He noted that government attempts to blackmail PF leader Micheal Sata and FDD leader Edith Nawakwi by threatening with nonexistent cases is what they are trying to do with him.
Mr.Kabimba explained that the conditions under which he purchased the said house in 1998 were strict for any illegal activities to be employed.
He said he would remain a law abiding citizen adding that as long as Mr Mangani does not perform his duties of which he gets paid using tax payers’ money he will not stop castigating him.
Mr. Kabimba urged Mangani to devote his energies on improving the lives of police officers under his Ministry who were wallowing in abject poverty instead of spending time fabricating cases.

Investigate this chap ,there is no smoke without fire he seems to be hidding something.
Mangani you are a cheap desperate poitician trying to keep your job. Are you being paid our hard earned tax money to witch hunt or to bring development to Zambia? Why don’t you go for those in the MoH who have looted our Country, some like Miti who are still free and yet we all know that they are thieves. Your fellow MMD caders are the ones who are stilling under your nose but you leave them and start talking about none existent case. Do your work, don’t get paid for doing nothing

#1, did you read this story before you posted your comment or you are simply the cheap type who cannot read but comment for the sake of commenting. I thought Wynter has said and i quote “Patriotic Front (PF) Secretary General Winter Kabimba has challenged government to commence investigations over how he acquired his house when he served as Lusaka Town Clerk.

Wynter is telling you to commence…
Magani seems to be chasing shadows!First its Sata, then Nawakwi and now Kabimba! No wonder they are saying he is behaving like a village dog, barking at anything!
MMD Membership card is equal to Monopoly’s “Get out of jail free” cards.
MMD has been STEALING for 18 years and BOOTLICKERS keep it happening.
Gentlemen no one should be above the law! So Mangani should be allowed to go ahead and investigate Kabimba and indeed any one who is suspected of having committed a felony regardless of when it was committed.
Kabimba, please dont respond to mad people, please do us a favour
Where was Mangani before he become Minister? Hey! how many people have big houses in lusaka, can he, Mangani, be fair and investigate all acquisitions…..yes! Dr Miti has property in Ndola and whereever, the Dude even shed tears through the letter he wrote to one RB, HEY!! snitch!!…Why not investigate him, all becoz he roots for RB?… TWAFWENI BA MANGANI Donty cheap, petty and ignorant
Mangani is the worst minister this country has ever had. He keeps on dreaming and hallucinating everyday. You mean he has nothing better to do as a minister. He has now reduced himself to a proper political cadre only comparable to william Banda. One thing he should know is that he’s not a police officer nor a law enforcement agency who should be instructing police officers to arrest or investigate every jim and jack.We have so many criminal cases which need serious investigation and possible proseution (FTJ,kapoko,Dr Mitti,AG’s reported mismanagement of public fund and the list is endless.Do us just some justice and shut your S.T.I.N.KY mouth up
If you have lived in Lusaka, you know that none of those houses on Independence Avenue would cost less than a million kwacha. You are talking about buying a complete house for about $100. Something is wrong here. Even the masses who bought their houses in Chilenje and Kabwata paid ten times more than that. Even though Kabimba is chalenging Mangani, he doesnt seem to be disputing that he bought the house for nothing. Can you trust any of these people. It may have been brought out at a “wrong” time, but, I would say, Mangani should investigate and manga the guy if found guilty.
Ba LT sure,I quote ”he has not time to worst” ???????Is there any editing done .I think you meant ,’ time to waste”
Anyway, mwela wonse guys fya mahala afterall!!

What a dull fellow you are . Kabimba has throw down the gauntlet. Would anyone hiding something do that? Its quite interesting to note that, anyone in support of Rupiah lacks the logic and the ability analyse. Its the blind leading the blind , basically.
I remember when Kabimba bought this double storey house on Independence Avenue at K500, 000 the former workers of Zambia Airways in Chelstone were offered those little huts at a minimum K3.5 million. The other Government officers were paying around K6-20 million. Matero houses were going for K100, 000. Where is fairness in all this? Obviously something is wrong here that may indeed require finding out.
Kabimba bought the house in a corrupt manner; investigate him. He is only trying to be courageus and he knows it.
All dammm guys in politics are the same- bakolwe basekana ifipato- so just let them enjoy- our time will come- but it will be for working for our mother zambian people- Twashula pafula-
It is like what they say- UBUMBO MWIBALA- the rest you can finish up-So kabimba at one time he worked in that field- so he was eating in that field. Even RB when in worked he did the same- Mangani just shut up-
Too many dunderheads here today. Waste of time even commenting. The guy has challenged you to investigate him, and you are still going on and on about how cheap his house was. Seriously! And this is Chiluba’s fault. This man sold houses cheaply and we are now paying rentals which are much more than the purchase price! Daylight robbery of the councils, if you ask me
Please do not support Kabimba because it is a fact that he bought the house for a song. However, it is not true that he paid about K500,000 for the house. He actually paid between K7m and K8m for the house but made the Lusaka City Council spend more than K20million on renovating the property which is sheer thefty. He should be hanged by the balls.
Hi guys, How many cases are you going to investigate? first you started with Sata, then Nawakwi and now Winter Have you found any one with a case to answer or ulebosafye like a village dog? I think ecowalekele teaching because you taught lies.
Let Mangani investigate Winter Kabimba how he sold a council house in Lubu Rd to a Chinese national Rogder V Lee when he was NOT entitled to buy the house he bought that is an open and shut case and Winter will be in the gaols crying foul…umulando tabubola…everyone must pay for theft against Zambian people oneday
Patriotic Front’s (PF) Introduction of Local Languages in Zambian Schools
By Sidney Kawimbe
The ruling Patriotic Front government is in full gear to introducing teaching of local languages in schools in pursuant to their manifesto that provides for reviewal of the language of introduction policy so as to promote the teaching of local languages at primary level (PF Manifesto, P: 8). In announcing this wholesale policy shift, Justice minister who is also PF Secretary General told ZNBC News and I quote “what we have is a colonial hangover. If you remember in 1884 during the Berlin Conference to partition Africa, European countries decided to divide Africa especially Sub Saharan Africa. Some African countries were turned into English speaking nations; others became French speaking while…
