Victor Bondarenko and Roy Baretto are the latest names to throw their names in the hat for the Zambian job as the list swells to 30.
Both coaches have coached in South Africa and the region over the last 10 years.
The Russian Bondarenko has had stints with Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns and has also coached Mozambique in 2003 including in his homeland where he coached Dinamo Moscow.
His last job was with Premiero Agosto of Angola last year.
Zimbabwean Baretto has also coached Pirates and recently had a stint in the Indian premier league.
Hmm ninshi balefwaya sana ukuchita coach Ba Zed or jobs are just scarce out there?
I still say lets go for a local coach. We can do this!
I dont think club coaches will do a good job.We need a coach with a national coaching experience.
#2 should read
with national coaching experience.
why is it that this job is selling as hot cake,, i think #1 is right.. and it seems stranded coaches are getting interested, some are even offering less conditions than those Renard had, worldwide insala bane !!! but a local Patrick Phiri can do.:d/[-(
Locals problem, corruption even someone can not play, you find that is put in. Otherwise, locals can do a good job- but insala has someone put it. Things can not balance well. Look at Kalusha, what he did- r.u.b.b.i.s.h
The Foreign coaches wants to improve their CVs only and ditch the Country when we need them most.Otherwise Local Coaches can do better; but they have many disadvantages which includes Fevouritism to their former clubs, Corruption, Nepotism, Tribalism, encouraging the use of charms by Player, lacking player identification skills and ETC…..
It seems we will always and forever remain at square one 🙁 Lord help us [-o<
Local coach, foreign coach, coach from outer-space, who cares! All we need is good and intelligent coach to take us to the next level. It doesn’t matter where he/she comes from. Ati “she” ka, hey! there’s no harm in dreaming a little, bane!
We are tired of the same; WE TRIED, WE WILL SEE NEXT TIME, NEXT WORLD CUP QUALIFIERS, NEXT AFRICA CUP—-What?!!
When are we going to get there for God’s sakes?!! Just get us a good coach who can turn our dreams into reality for once—because this dream is now turning into an ‘eternal nightmare’. We can’t continue living on promises and the “what might have been” if only we did ‘nsonsonso and nsonsonso’!

this job can be done by a local coach. pliz ba FAZ give it to a local. we are not playing in the world cup so there is no big deal here.
We still need a foreign coach with a good international CV, not just any foreign coach. Looking at the liocal coaches, i think we are very far. We need to give coaches like wedson Nyirenda more time to develop as they coach local clubs. The other hindrance with local coaches is that the like taking bribes twhen selecting a National team. This has been killing Zambian football to the extent where we are number twelve in Africa from second place sometime back.
patrick phiri failed to zambia to the africa cup in 2004 or it 2006 the one which was held in tunisia.
insala bane !!! but a local Patrick Phiri can do.No 4 let your local patrick apply.Systems must be working.
Can someone tell me the FAZ website please and also where one can fine individual team sqads for our local teams.thanks
We need to be more serious about how we handle our soccer matters
