  1. JUST MAKE HIM PAY BACK AND MAYBE DEMOTE HIM OR FIRE HIM. YOU CANT JAIL HIM FOR 4 YEARS WHEN BIGGER THIEVES ARE GETTING 5 YEARS FOR MORE CORRUPT PRACTICES

  2. This is what poverty does. Poor man jailed only for €40, when criminals (chiluba, katele, chibanda, etc) are free. The courts should have just let him pay and get a suspended sentence just like those criminals who stole from the billions of kwachas from Public.

  3. Unlike Katele Kalumba and co., this guy is going to stay in there. The reason being, well, as Mike Mulongoti put it not too long ago, “some people deserve to go to jail, others do not.” Ours is an “Animal Farm” where “All animals are equal, but some are more equal than others.”

  4. He is a very unlucky cop and also a dull one.
How come he was caught out when the Police Service is the most corrupt deparment in Zambia.
How come the Anti-Corruption Commission has not set up any surveillance operation at Kitwe Central Police Station were traffic police officers own mini-buses and taxis from money they corruptly obtain at Police road blocks.
The Kitwe Police Road Traffic department is so corrupt, such that one does not need to have a driving test to obtain a driving licence. Just pay the chaps and a driving licence is delivered in a bar/tarven even if one does not know how to drive. This is how the driving schools and their instructors survive in this town and how the police traffic section is the most sought after department for a policeman to work in.

  5. 250 pin too little 4 others to get a cut no wonder they locked him up and threw away the key .He should have asked FTJ how its done at the courts to walk free …fool

  6. #8 Lozi Corruption,
There must be something seriously wrong with your brains or is it low IQ. Just a couple of days ago Katele Kalumba and his gang ( none of whom was Lozi) was jailed for corruption involving millions of US$ and you never commented about their tribe but you choose to open your mouth about the Lozi cop for corruptly soliciting for K500,000 you even go further to ask, ‘How can a police officer do this?’ By the way is Chiluba a Lozi? Why didn’t you ask a similar question regarding Katele and his fellow convicts who are all seniors in GRZ? A Zambian ( not a Lozi) has been jailed here in the UK for 6 years for rape and will be deported after serving.

  7. the zambian police is very corrupt ,so why make one guy suffer.the police are paid nothing .so they all try to survive thru corruption.issuing of drivers lincence by bribe is in zambia is as old as prostitution.the live of a civil servant has to being improved thru a better pay if anything has to change for now that police officer case would be considered to be a deal gone bad

  8. #10 Nom de Plume Dot Com….dont worry about # 8 Lozi Corruption….You can automatically tell where he comes from :d:d:d Ok lets put it simply: In the last week, 4 Bembas and 1 Lozi have been jailed for corruption…is this rocket science???

  9. Nothing to do with tribe, bane. We lose track very quickly when an ignoramus rears his ugly head and talks about tribes.

My beef with this sentencing is that Kabondo is still running loose while a simple cop gets banged over the head with a very big stick. It’s very sad, unjust, unfair, and very cruel.

  10. You useless people who like talking about tribes I warned you that one day I will beat u. Ala Nkamufyampa ba pushi imwe. Why are u so tribal. What is so special about tribe ? You should be ashamed of your selves.

  11. Corruption is a very big headache in Zambia. Maybe the only way to end it in Zambia is by going the Chinese way: Execution of all those who are found guilty. Otherwise the scourge will grow in leaps and bounds.

  12. Because you chose not to enforce the law, now the law has been enforced on you. A wake call to other would be offending officers. To you juniors, remember you`ll always be sacrificial lumbs
