  2. Kuala Lumpur – Malaysia’s High Court on Friday sentenced a Zambian national to death by hanging after he was found guilty of attempting to bring almost 160 grams of drugs into the country four years ago.

The judge ruled there was no evidence to support Emmanuel’s allegations that he was set up by anti-narcotics police.

The police said Emmanuel, 31, passed 37 rubber capsules containing heroin and monoacetylmorphine while in custody after he was arrested at Penang International Airport in northern Malaysia in October 2006.

Malaysia’s tough drug laws prescribe a mandatory death sentence for those found guilty of trafficking most types of drugs.

  3. Am in the land of Bafana Bafana.
I think their location auto detection only goes as far as where the moderm was made…..i think…. Pshh, tell me about the cold, i can not comprehend what those children sleeping under the bridges go through!

That story is so sad Ka- Doyo. So he is hanging for real, shame man…may the lord come through for him if hes innocent, if hes not, may he find peace before his death….

  4. #12 Ubuteko bwesu tabwaishibe fyo. Even the simplest issue of fairness at embassies issuing visas, these shrimps just coil up. When you see the protocol officer mu ma embassies kwati ni kanacisungu, very bashful. Ine umutimo bukali!

  5. Malaysia always mean what they say.A death penalty is just that.Indeed my his soul find God’s peace. This should be a warning to others.Any one thinking of dealing in drugs in other people’s countries,be aware.Mulechitilafye ku Zambia where the law can be flouted and get away with it.

  6. Good Morning

Having stayed away all week, it’s good to be updated by the pics. My personal favorites being the one featuring KK dancing and the one showing the old classrooms at Kamwala Sec. School.

Anyone with a good portion of realism will agree with me that pictures don’t always have to be flashy or sensational in order to fulfil their informative purpose. Pic. #15 may not be flashy but the mere sight of the classrooms with their typical arch roofs simply send me adrift on a memory bliss of my own school days…

Having said that, I wish everybody a blessed weekend.

  7. Kamwala Secondary School/Kams( former Prince Phillip High School). You Betcha !! Hard to imagine how time flies and the changes it brings along. If only I could turn back the hands of time. With hindsight, makes me nostalgic for those good old days and true, memories are for those who make them `cos I have a good share of them. U made my future which is now my present and I could never be more appreciative and happier

  8. Lol! Fond Memories of Asbestos classrooms! Well pray that you dont have the dust in your lungs! Otherwise your life may already be short by 15 years!

  9. I have enjoyed your selection of pictures LT.
#14 Abaiche ba le ‘Malinger’…I have always thought bu malingala bwali pwa. Where were the school prefects or teachers to ‘chase’ those kids back into class?
#15 As #22 MBULAWAYA has rightly noted…Asbestos is a very dangerous substance with grave consequences on one’s health. I hope the Zambian Govt is aware of this and that they will replace that dangerous substance with something safer. Here in the UK asbestos is an outlawed substance in the building industry and many firms have paid out ‘loads’ of pounds in compensation claims arising from the same.

  10. FYI ,# 22 mbulawa, asbestos sheets were the roofing sheets of choice which covered more than two thirds of all the Zambian brick wall buildings( am not sure about the current status), but if you did survive it at school, you surely must have had it over your head either in offices, or various buildings including bars and houses.

  11. Looking for old school mate.
