The Southern African Centre for Constructive Resolutions of Disputes, SACCORD, has demanded for an explanation from Chief Justice Ernest Sakala for his conduct towards Patriotic Front (PF) leader Michael Sata who he refused to shake hands with.
SACCORD Information Officer, Obby Chibuluma said the Chief Justice owes Zambians an explanation on the matter in which he refused to greet Sata.
He said it is raises concern to see the man who is the returning officer in the presidential elections showing personal grudges against some political leaders in the country.
Mr Chibuluma said Mr. Sakala as the father of justice should embrace every citizen in the country regardless of their political affiliation.
He expressed disappointment that the Chief Justice could happily shake hands with people facing corruption charges in the courts of law,and yet refuse to shake hands with innocent people such as Mr. Sata.
Meanwhile, Mr. Chibuluma has called on the PF youths not to rush into demanding for the resignation of the Chief Justice.
He said the Chief Justice should first be given a chance to explain the motive behind his refusal to shake hands with the PF leader.

Chibuluma ,
If you play with pupu not everyone does it. The country is not aware that Sata was trying to shake hands with pupu in his hands. The fact is that straight from the toilet Sata entered the Church with pupu in his nails and on the jacket to greet the Chief Justice. Justice Sakala was saved by his natural vigilance and high sense of smell when he started smelling a strong stench as Sata advanced towards him and heavy flies settled on Sata’s jacket.
What explanation when Sata had pupu and he is also a leper in his head?
There is no dispute, ala!
Chibuluma ,
You must stop this rot. I do not think there was anything wrong with refusing Sata’s hand shake. Everyone has a right to accept or not accept a greeting. The Chief Justice just asked Sata that since when did he(Sata) start talking to Sakala. I am very sure there is background information to this. It did not just start here. Sata knows well!
SACCORD another circus of an NGO.No wonder it was de-registered by LPM.
# 1 and 2.
I dont know how old you are but for sure you are a very shameless, immature person.
Red Card- abena Libala South ,
Playing with your pupu to smear others is not maturity.
Am #1 and 2 lets try to show maturity and discuss things that will teach people, also let us be serious with what we are doing because unless you tell me that you have nothing to do in life other than just the internet and posting things which do not add value. Why did i say so?You mean the whole sane person as Mr Sata could enter the church with what you said he had in his hand?Am not a politician nor am i a follower of any political party but just a law abiding citizen.Mr Sakala as the ChiefJustice of Zambia i see no reason why he should have refused to shake hands with Mr Sata and lets look at the occassion this took place.
The Chief Justice can shake hands with whoever he wants. It is a free country.
Hehe ..haha..hoho… What puzles me most is not the refusal to shake hands but the refusal to just say hello Sata. yes sometimes I refuse to shake hands with people when I have a cold and I just say hello by mouth then I explainto them why I cant shake hands with them— coz of my chifine. Now this chief justice proudly and dully just refused with all his pomposity. I cant believe it that this is coming from the beloved chief Justice. Thats why I suspect he is may be suffering from mental disease, can the Chainama Doctors check him before we lose him please??
surely its hehe…haha..hoho ..what a confused chief justice Sakala.:o:o:o
The PF believe in force and dictatorship. This is why they believe (assumption) that the Chief Justice should be coerced to shake Mr. Sata’s hands.
When are you guys going to get it into your heads that Mr. Sata is not president of this nation and will never be. He is an inconsistent political loud mouth we are all getting tired of.
Everyone has a right to shake hands with whoever they want to. They also have a right to refuse to shake hands with whoever they want to. What happened to freedom of association?
#1 1and #2 You seem to be mentally sick and I can only advise you to see a psychiatrist. Please dont even waist time rush right now straight to a psychiatric clinic before you start eating your words. You must be one of the very sick minded people. If you play with your pupu it does not mean everyone does that. If Your family does that then you are a very bad yield which does not need to be preserved.
SACCORD should learn to be objective. their role is to solve conflicts and not to extend them. NEXT time please investigate the case before you comment.I understand mr SATA went round during “role call” at this funeral be fore his infamous hand shake with the lordship. BY the way when did that cholera no”shake hand” campaign at funerals end in lusaka?
SACCORD has never been happy ever since the govt put in legislation to monitor donations that NGOs were receiving from abroad (enemies of the state). We know the likes of Habasonda and his twin at Transparency International, they love fame and bling lifestyle. Mathematically, PF/UPND can’t win the elections – Zilch. Zero. Apana. Even the people sending donations to SACCORD have respect for judicial officers in their own countries.
The treachery and perfidy of NGOs like SACCORD clearly shows that its leaders are using this sham organisation as a rubric for clandestine activities to feed their starving families. Even in poverty one must value their dignity. By failing to take these issues seriously, Lee Habasonda will end up like Ngande Mwanajiti’s Afronet project. What did they achieve other than fattening themselves?
Capitalist, dude, i know u’re deliberately approaching this thing in a very simplistic way. Me and u know that the Chief Justice has to be perceived to be impartial. That office he holds comes with a price of dispensing with luxuries like displaying a grudge in public. Confidence in the judiciary is at an all time low and if the CJ had any common sense, his main agenda now wud be damage control. This ‘dont care attitude in wat people think’ is a sure sign that dictatorship is coming to roost. Surely u cannot, with all your senses, believe that things are running well in this country. The IG, killer ministers, Dora declaring that its wishful thinking if teachers thot govt would prioritise their accommodation needs at the expense of some far-fetched goal. I mean come on dude.
But why didn’t Sata also simply answer the question which the CJ posed to him? The man asked him,”since when?” and instead of answering the question he runs to the press! Hmmm baba, since when?????????:d/:o
Am tired of this wahala over nothing. When are pf going to produce the report on the councils they run and when are we going to be given the opportunity to scrutinise the pact manifesto?
you never no sata with his behaviour. you, Obby, wait untill he get on your wrong side. then you can come and tell us that you accepted to shake his hands. this sata chap can be full of rot
