‘Chiluba denies campaigning for RB’

Share

Second republican President for Zambia for Frederick Chiluba

Second republican Dr Frederick Chiluba has denied his campaigning for republican President Rupiah Banda.

Dr. Chiluba has of late come under heavy criticism over his recent visits to the Copperbelt were he is said to be soliciting support for president Banda.

Speaking through his spokesperson Emmanuel Mwamba, Dr Chiluba said he is merely practicing his democratic right.

He said he has a fundamental right like any Zambian to participate in the country’s democratic dispensation and that his support for president Banda should not be mistaken as campaigning.

Mr Mwamba was speaking last evening on a heated live Q-FM programme, Monday Night.

He has described calls by the National Revolution Party (NRP) to have Dr Chiluba’s benefits frozen over his alleged involvement in active politics as misplaced.

Mr. Mwamba said NRP president Cosmo Mumba is misleading Zambians with his calls which are not backed by the truth.

  1. WHAT A SHAME!
This thief need to just give up and await his imprisonment in 2011. Panic has come to roost at his door step! Wanya kafupi

  2. Kafubi should just shut up if he wants pipo to forgive him. The problems is a thinks that he is an innocent man when even a one year old child knows that this man is a thief. Such pipo should never have been brought to this world by their parents coz they are a shame to the society

  3. Chief Nyamazai (public toilets inspector)
The former president has been reduced to a chief public toilet inspector, going round in markets. He should have been just sitting quietly enjoying his retirement, going for holidays abroad, rubbing shoulders with bena Sepp Blatter at the worldcup, giving motivational talks at international fora, having fun with his grand children at a farm in the outskirts of lusaka. This chap will have a terrible ending
    He just makes me sick

  4. Haha

Warner Bros or Steven Spielberg will one day write a funny comedy about Chiluba.

Nobody could write a better script than this Monkey.

  5. Why does Chiluba have a spokesperson?

Is he such a mumbling i.diot that he cant speak for himself?
That he needs someone to write speeches for him.

How does a ex president afford to pay all these staff members when he was just a simple Zambian president on a meager 3rd world country wage.
It’s as if he stole lots of money from somewhere but i just don’t get it as he got aquitted in court when all of his team are locked up.

  6. Chiluba your avery crooked why it they talk about and do not talk about KK even you denial the truth is you are campagning for RB by your strategly trips to Coperbelt Luapula Provinces and what you say by yourself.

  7. This is what happens when you make enemies! When its time for pay back, you start running in circles like a headless chicken. If Chiluba made friends and didnt steal from Zambians, he would be enjoying his little life quitely! Now the guy has to bootlick RB just to breath! 2011 will be the year we can leave in peace! Kafupi prison sentence commences 2011!

  8. Senior citizen! I m suprised you can condemn chiluba like that. You are such a one who has made alot of enermies on this blog becoz of your support for the wrongs of this collupted leadership. What went wrong. Sour grapes may be. As you clame to be senior you are expected to be rational. Nakashinka akapunda

  9. he is former head of state you cant change that and he is intelligent to unlike sata a kaponya where can he take zambia to a tarven for chibuku no wonder satas face is like buttocks!

  10. He has a democratic right to choose whoever he likes but must avoid the media.
Some of you bloggers were born yesterday so might not have been there when KK was the most loathed person at that time.It is just just plain old politics. When you have lived under different govts you soon know the inevitable change in politics.
    The fall from grace of the following;
    Mobutu Sese Seko
    Margaret Thatcher
    George Bush
    Angela Merkel
    Toy Blair
    ad so on.
These polticians are like celebrities. They thrive on popularity and they can do anything and everything to be the most popular.Chiluba is not an exception.

  11. PF did not mind Chiluba helping them win Luapula when he was still facing criminal charges. We have to be even-handed and not hypocritical. PF were always at the airport when he was going for his check ups in South Africa. They did not say anything about wasting public funds by ferrying politicians to SA. Sata is on record on his intention to drop charges against Chiluba if he won the 2006 presidential elections. You cant re-write history to suit your political aims. If a leader is inconsistent and rather prone to fabrication, why then should I waste my vote and put an ‘x’ by his or her name?

  12. Typical of a hardcore thief, he lives a double life, one real life of a thief but because he wants to deny he is a thief, he leads another ‘make-believe’ life meant for the public. A hardcore thief will never accept he is a thief and will never show remorse, regret or humility. That is how they are. That is why in some communities they are given the instant justice treatment by stoning.

  13. i am happy our ex-presidents are doing what they are good at, Kaunda is fighting HIV-AIDS and Chiluba is inspecting TOILETS…wel done country men.^:)^

  14. Atleast we agree on one thing as bloggers from different political formations, and that is get chiluba imprisoned for raping mother Zambia. And NRP is on point, this thief during his term legistlated that any former president engaging in active politics will lose his benefits – kaunda went under, now what is this fundemental right he’s going on about after what he did to Kaunda? arrest the chap.

  15. @ 10. In the Morning the MMD bloggers where saying that it is the PF bloggers that insult. We are watching, already you have insulted and you are MMD. If a PF insults back you will be crying out loud.

  16. Senior Citizen ( the original one) i thought you abhor insults and yet @ 10 thats all you are issuing. Is there something inherently wrong with Chibuku or are you so mentally enslaved that you think nothing local can be good?

FTJ only qualifies to get his benefits upon retiring from active politics and he knows this. He is only setting himself up for a fall when RB goes because this issue will be interpretted differently. paying this money back, plus all the other money that he plundered during his riegn (Not to worry, those cases will come back to haunt him) will effectively bankrupt him. But then again, he wont need to pay rent at chimbokaila.

  17. #6 Red Card for MMD
Do you remember a Mr Muhabi Lungu? He is son of the current Minister of Home Affairs.

  18. Nothing wrong to be MMD. We cant all be PACT members! Some of us are stonche MMD and die hards! I got recalled from the states but its not the end of my alliance to MMD!

  19. I have noticed that some of you bloggers are putting across very reasonable argument which can influence development or rather change in the running of govts if the majority of people had access to your points. However, the biggest wickness you have is fear of unknowns to stand in public and articulate issues. This platform will never influence change as our country is still backward in ICT technology and many voters donot even read yr contributions. All these so called old age people can easily be replaced. Too much fearing about what would happen if yr dream doesn’t come true. Wake up guys.

  20. I will make sure i vote for change 2011 so this short item can go to prison otherwise with RB he is a free bird having a field day, it is not right

  21. Mwikala patalala mwine apatalalika, ngamwalishiba ati mulibamilandu, konse uko mwaya nasho panuma, muleikalafye zi. Imwe you’ve stolen elo sana, just give back what you took from the zambian people using your “so called democratic rights”. Kazolo

  22. I think the man should be allowed to campaign for RB or whoever he chooses. At this point he is merely playing into the hands of the opposition. So fresh are the wounds from hi misrule that I’d imagine he is more of a liability than an asset for the MMD. We, have the power people, not this dishonest man. Lets exercise our freedom while he does his. Sooner or later his past will catch up with him.

  23. Ba Chiluba, you have openly told ex miners that if they vote for Mr. Rupee Banda, he Banda willsort out the loans issue with Barclays Bank. If that is not campaining for some one, the what is it? Mwamba answer this one

  24. Zambians have been urged to support President Rupiah Banda in his efforts to find solutions to the effects of the financial global crunch.

Second Republican President, Frederick Chiluba’s Spokesperson, Emmanuel Mwamba said this in Mazabuka when he featured on Mazabuka Community Radio’s LIVE WIRE PROGRAMME yesterday.

Mr. Mwamba said Zambians should give the President time to address economic issues confronting the nation and avoid being negative.

6 SET 2009- WHAT MORE EVIDENCE DO WE NEED

    Complain about this comment

  25. FTJ is a little devil who thinks that he is a saint and more intelligent that most Zambians, hence he can he is now trying to justify his recent visits to the Copperbelt. I think people are aware of his gimmicks and they will not succumb to it now like they did a few years back. FTJ is a very bad example of leader who has no remorse for his attitude and behavior. It is not long ago when frequented Morningside clinic that he has a heart problem, now everything is fine with him all of a sudden and when only RB is in power! Every Jim and Jack know what he is up to and he will not take the people for a ride this time around. The man needs to humble himself before the people especially that he claims to be a man of God!

  26. The problem is that zambian twalikwata ichilafi ebwafwa, its possible that chiluka can be a zambian president just buying fitenge materials and dish out to vote for him, the selling of government properties has left the country rootless and dry. people are flying out of the country and am one of the to work outside were are good payments, when politicians are sick , what happens goes out but my young brother
is dying in the village..zambian wehere are going sure….so Mr chiluba spair us please .
