Ha ha ha pic 5-ati amasha yamukulu kuboko lets go ambuya.
Pics 8-10-Those are good signs that the harvest was good this year.Nice
Ba Lt dont behave like BBC. I m sure you can give us other pics showing some development.
Zambia the real Africa indeed 46 yrs after independence still no decent hospitals. Most of the people in these photos look like they suffer from malnutrition. Shame what a country.
Pic 7, the way that permsec is holding the kid as if hes inspecting asomething dangerous or hot
My heart bleeds when I see the level of poverty in the country.
Ba LT icisungu mwatusebanya. What are you saying in pic.21?
LT do we have to see Mr Muleya(PS) every week? Is there anything special about him? Hope this is the last time we are seeing him doing nothing special.
Picture 18 precious gifts from God. We thank him.
Nice pictures, but whoever writes these captions is a disgrace to journalists everywhere!
Well, interesting pictures… despite the usual critique.
Pic #1/2 makes me wonder whether that hippo was hunted down by those Muchekwas (never knew we had such a tribe in Zambia) or it just fell into their trap before being skinned? I thought these animals also fell under wildlife protection laws along with the Elephants?
Pic #3 is there no English translation for the Mabuyu fruits? They look like figs to me, only much bigger.
Pic #17 the woman looks too young to be a mother to those kids. I could have easily taken her for a big sister, had it not been for the caption and of course the little one feeding on her breast.
As for the rest of the pics, one can see that some things never change in Zambia: for example: nurses’ & pupils uniforms, hospital beddings…
LOL @ Picture 21 Caption
Picture 7. Regimes that contributed to the high poverty levels in the Western province of Zambia include: Welensky’s regime for 10 years
U.N.I.P’s regime for 27 years
M.M.D’s regime for 18 years
Which regime will next add 10 years poverty times to Western province. Watch this space.
I like the pictures.pic5 reminds me of my grandmother.she always said kids of nowadays don’t know how to dance and would show us how it was done! pic3 didn’t know we had that many fruits in Zambia.pic1 gee hippo meat- what does it taste like beef or fish?
# 14 it tastes like ivinkubala(caterpillar`s).Try it you wont regret it.
This online paper is losing its readership. The owners must be wondering what hit them. Yeah, coz its an appandage of one political party thats what hit them!
If our schools are churning out such poor english writers then what chances are there that critical proffessionals(docs, nurses)are well trained?.Little wonder why some countries don’t recognize some of our certificates, diplomats in africa run own schools or politicians run overseas for medical care.
“Muchekwa people skinning the Hippo at the shores of Lake kariba”
Skinning? mmm, looks like AXING to me!
And ba LT, do we know this hippo? Have we met it somewhere for it to merit ‘the definite article?’
“…skinning THE Hippo…”
Ok, I see your point LT! Good on you! You are trying to help our Bemba and Luapula friends who would have difficulties saying ‘a Hippo!’
Motsepe #3 this is real life pa zed no development
The Saint #20, what is with you and the Bembas, I hope you are from Eastern Province, if you are not then you are just being ridiculous, go and teach English elsewhere not on this blog.
Pic#2 – Zambian girls are hard! Those two are so relaxed and smiling pretty in front of a skinned Hippo!
Never geard of Muchekwa pipo. Someone enlighten me pliz!
Never heard of Muchekwa pipo. Someone enlighten me pliz!
Pic# 16 is the best for me- those are our future Doctors, teachers, name them- we love you guys- Aim High!
Pic# 18 we have state of the art voter registration equipment but this is not matched an improvement in peoples life style.
Hippo for dinner in Kariba lol hello nama choma lol
Mr Muleya is a hard working man ,if we had more of such Ps Zambia would b e a better place
Sininazibe ati Hippo ni ndiyo ka…..What does it test like? Anyone who has tested it please let me know.
What’s so special about this “Seth Muleya” fella that is dominating in the pictures? Is a propaganda campaign trying to promote his personality? I believe there is just as many other people contributing positively to the nation that deserve media coverage. I personally have had enough of this guy:)
@13 (Mwangala Sianga), not forgetting Sekeletu’s regime and Sebetwane’s regime. And who knows who’s other regime’s before them?
@23 (Nubian Princess), what do you mean? You’re a Zambian gal yourself, aint you?
@30 (Moderator), how does one test hippo meat – or any other type of meat or food for that matter?
@ # 32, thanks for the correction. I meant to say “taste”
