Movement for Multi-Party Democracy (MMD) Chairperson, Michael Mabenga has advised politicians to stop politicizing the death of Mpulungu Member of parliament (MP) Lameck Chibombamilimo who died in India yesterday.
Mr Mabenga said it was wrong for politicians to politicise the death of a person in their quest to gain political mileage
He said this to ZANIS in an interview in Lusaka today.
Mr Mabenga said the party is saddened that it lost one of its members but called on people to desist from making unnecessary comments.
“People should understand that the long hand of death has taken our member they should therefore not make unnecessary comments nor should they accuse anyone” he said.
He was reacting to comments from Patriotic Front President Michael Sata who has been quoted in a private newspaper accusing Government of neglecting Mr Chibombamilimo saying his death would have been avoided if he was sent in time for specialist treatment in India.
He said it was inhuman and unrealistic for Mr Sata to start accusing the MMD government of neglecting the late MP.
Mr Mabenga said people were only evacuated for specialist treatment at the request of family and after Doctors recommendations.
Mr Lameck who was Mpulungu MMD Member of Parliament died in India yesterday after suffering from kidney complications.
His body is expected to arrive in Zambia tomorrow aboard Ethiopian airways in readiness for burial.
Mr. Mabenga said this to ZANIS in an interview in Lusaka toady.

Well, they now call him their member when they expelled him and it was just a stay of execution that enabled him retain his seat until his demise. We all know its the fear of losing the resultant by election that is now making them claim him as one of their own but people are not stupid, we all know how Banda embarrassed this man by firing him from the government and party. If people in Mpulungu vote for an MMD candidate, ninshi finangwa saana.

Kidney problems are complicated, let the experts comment on them, not our very own “Dr” Cobra Sata, PhD in Lieology and & MSc in Everything on Earth.

If Sata, bag of ubunga GBM and their PF in the heart of Kasama say Kasama is for Bembas only writting off all the Mambwes, Namwangas and lungus there in, it is wishfull thinking for Sata to even dream he has a chance with bemba party in the namwanga land. Actually above and beyond, PF Central committee body is 96% bembalized without a single Namwanga, Mambwe or lungu voice on board. Those mambwes are outcasts in PF caste system. Namwangas, Mambwes and Lungus have the most intelligent and entreprising Zambians in the nothern enclaves yet Sata and PF see them as outcasts in preference for his tribe mates the likes of Willie Nsanda, Kambwili, Mukuka, Frank Bwalya, Augustine Mwewa, Jean Kapata and Telesphore Mpundu. To be a PF shadow cabinet, the prerequisite is being a bemba, Bisa, sata brind sycophant or skilled in insults… all traits no Namwanga, Mambwe and Lungus fit in.
Its not a coincidence that from time in memorial from politicians such as Hon Rankin Sikasula, John Mwanakatwe, Ronald Penza, Derrick Mbita Chitala to the present day politician, the Namwanga, Mambwe,Lungus and tumbukas of Muyombwe in Northern province are politically ever at variance with the Bemba caste system heavily pronounced and registered by Sata-GBM doctrine of “Bemba for bembas only”.This is why MMD has been sweeping that area since 1991.
The hatred of Sata against Namwangas, Mambwes,Lungus and tumbukas of Northern province was evident during Sata’s chawama massacre when welding pangas he went for Hon. Geoffrey Simukonda in Chawama for being a Namwanga challenge Sata’s politics of a caste system. Simukonda was macheted, hacked and left half dead in the heart of Lusaka’s chawama township. Today a once abled bodied Geoffrey Simukonda is disabled former deputy minister of commerce.Namwangas, Mambwes,Lungus and tumbukas of Northern province know Sata as a hate criminal of their ethnicity.

Kasama is for Bembas, says GBM on 2009.09.22
“In the presence of Sata briefing him PF parliamentary candidate Geoffrey Mwamba has said Kasama is for Bembas alleging that MMD candidate Burton Mugala was a foreigner from Muyombe area”.
Mr Mwamba, on a live programme on Radio Mano in Kasama, was quoted as saying Kasama was for Bembas, Mongu for Lozis and Southern Province for the people from that area, in direct reference to Mr Mugala whom he alleged did not hail from Northern Province.
He alleged that Mr Mugala was a foreigner from Muyombe.
Sata is just a prick! Everything is politics for this old foolish dinosaur; no wonder Maureen chased him when he was following Levy’s body all over like a fly. Let him respect Chibombamilimo’s family during this difficult time. He’s lucky Levy was kind enough to send his punk a$$ to RSA when he suffered a heart attack, otherwise he would have been the late!!!
GRZ needs to upgrade our local hospitals. My relatives back there can’t afford to fly to RSA, London or India. Each Zambian citizen deserves access to basic healthcare and this can be achieved with political will.

The MMD top leaders that ochestrated the dismissal of Late Chibombamilimo from MMD will be CHASED from his funeral. This is the latest from Mpulungu Today. This public humiliation is being engineered by the supporters of the late within MMD. So dont blame the PF.
#2Comedy of errors- UTH doctors have seperated siamese twins, so I cant see how they can fail to work on a simple thing like a kidney. I say simple because my friend who had defective kidney had it removed at Wusakile Hospital. For your information I know of two persons a man and a boy who went to India for the same treatment and died upon arrival back in Zambia. Our leaders dont want to use UTH because they dont want us to know what they are actually suffering from. On politicising the issue I would say even Mabenga is politicizing it by making comments on the issue.
