Dario Bonetti has unveiled an initial list of 21 players to report to camp in Lusaka next week ahead of Zambia’s opening 2012 Africa Cup Group C qualifying match against Comoros Islands on September 4.
The list is wholly made up of foreign-based players with three of them currently unattached.
The clubless trio in the team is goalkeeper Kalililo Kakonje, defender Noah Chivuta and midfielder Rainford Kalaba, the latter who has not played competitively since the end of the Africa Cup in Angola in January.
Also in the team is midfielder Jonas Sakuwaha from French side Lorient who returns to the fold after a 12 months absence and also skipped the Africa Cup to try and secure a first team place at his European club.
Meanwhile, Bonetti is expected to unveil a list of home-based call-ups in the coming days.

whats on dojo
Why calling un attached players?
#3, you are better off with a good un attached player than amakula from top div. clubs. That’s why it is a national team. Even you, can be in if you can prove yourself. I’ts all about representing the nation and clubs.
:)
Surely why call finished players who have failed & have been chucked where they were playing? E.g what is the justification 4 calling Kalililo Kakonje when his performance is below par such that he has no market anywhere? This must be Kalusha’s selection. No wonder Zambian football is marabishi yeka yeka. **** u!
# 5; predictable kalusha haters!!! how does he come in? fed up with your rhetoric manje!
this looks good but they game is at Nkoloma that cannot even accommodate a local match for its low capacity
Viva Nkoloma. I will be there. Please ensure that THE CORRUPT POLICE are not on the entry points, they are the ones who cause confusion.Start selling tickets in good time ba FAZ malabisi!
The team looks good. The coach should have included 3 or more local players Otherwise good luck boys. You should win by a big margin.
Somebody tell me who is better between Kakonje and R. Kola!
If the coach had a free hand in picking from the many Zambian playerz abroad, he should have included at least one of the following; Davis Phiri, Harry Milanzi, Andrew Sinkala, Moses Sichone, Elijah Tana, Clifford Mulenga and the others. This iz simply a “FAZ list” with underlined namez.
I ve got the power to pick the team coz I am FAZ president and am the undisputed best footballer zambia has ever produced.
I agree with # 9, we have to win by a very big margin to avoid the usual mathematics pa last. R.Kola is by far better than kalililo and can even give Mweene a good run for his money. The coach should be trying these upcoming players for such games to boost their confidence
guess this list has been drawn by one 1988 african footballer of the year now turned football admnistrator
#14 this list is definately done by kalu, leaving good players and picks kakonje, kakonje is failing to find a club in south africa and finds a place in the national team,
the gate charges will be K60,000 open wing, thats wat kalu can do.
The List is all pro’s. Hope they deliver. We are tired of second best always. Good luck this time, Ghana did Africa Proud and everyone is calling them for friendly games and paying them handsomely. Thats what good performance does. Ghana team has marketed their player, most of them sold and joined big teams, so Chipolopolo this is your chance. The problems is too many un-attached players why? Bungled contracts, as usual.
# 15 k60,000 can be a joke, that is a bag of mealie meal in our kombonis.Proposal, K10,000 or K15,000 open wing & K25,000 or k30,000 for grandstand, and K100,000 or K200,000 VIP. Kalu should leave the coach to do his job not just giving him the same tired legs.
The gate taking should be high for crowd control. The stadium is too small if made cheap there will be stampedes and possible loss of lives.
#18, there is room 4 expension, they can expand like they did on the western part of the stadium before the game. anything is possible.
Fwayo Tembo appears twice on this list mwe…or Penangu they are two different people, but they both play for the same base team??
Change ka list aka …naimwe????
Why are you quacks full of hate? This is not progressive. The choice of these players are great! We do not have much to offer at home. If I were the coach, I would only feature those playing outside. Haters have started to get on Kalu already! Pa Zambia ni shame.
#21 Kalu is corrupt and deserve the names pipo are calling him. There is no shame for example in calling chiluba a thieve. That is what he is just like Kalu, but I agree with you the selection of the team in good.
I hope these unattached players do train somewhere before being called to the national team, otherwise we do not have a second goal keeper after Mweene.
What about Chansa, Clifford, Nyambe? Oherwise, it’s a strong team!
It will be better if the teams maintains it’s winning prowess pa home.
The team has only four defenders? Amazing!!!
What has happened to Thomas Nyirenda. Thomas was key to the National Team in Angola. What has changed all of a sudden? He has the skill and ability. He deserves a place in the National Team otherwise I will quickly learn that in Zambia its not about quality but familiarity.
I love my country and i love our team…zambia is a big country with good players with a good manager..I hope he will do well …go go go zambia…you will never walk alone
