Expelled MMD Kafulafuta Member of Parliament George Mpombo has maintained that he will only make known his next move over his expulsion after receiving the letter from the MMD secretariat.
Mr Mpombo said it is too early for him to disclose his next course of action following his expulsion from the ruling party when he has not yet received the letter.
He said he has no idea on the contents of the expulsion letter and that for him state whether he would challenge his expulsion in court would be pre-mature.
On the invitation by the Patriotic Front to join its ranks following is expulsion, Mr Mpombo laughed before saying he would confirm today.
The MMD National Executive Committee on Saturday expelled Mr Mpombo and his Chilanga counterpart Ng’andu Magande from the ruling party during a meeting held at State House.
and The Patriotic Front (PF) said the Movement for Multi-party Democracy, MMD, is in a state of confusion.
Commenting on the decision by the party to expel Kafulafuta and Chilanga MMD Members of Parliament from party, PF Vice President, Guy Scott, said it is a sign that the ruling party is embroiled in confusion.
Dr Scott said the ruling party has bitten its own legs and arms by expelling the two parliamentarians whom he says did not deserve expulsion.
Dr Scott noted that the ruling party has de-campaigned itself both in Chgilanga and Kafulufuta constituencies, adding that the PF will scoop the two seats.
He said the expulsions of Mr Magande and Mr Mpombo has been stage managed by the ruling party to bar the duo from challenging President Rupiah Banda for the party presidency at the convention.
Dr Scott was speaking with QFM in an interview in Lusaka.

On “On the invitation by the Patriotic Front to join its ranks following is expulsion, Mr Mpombo laughed before saying he would confirm today” I wonder what the laughter was all about. Anyway, it will be interesting to read Hon Mpombo’s comment over the PF’s invitation and his laughter on it later on in the day.
I hope the laughter does not mean that Hon Mpombo considers PF as a party of disgruntled characters.
On another note, PF is not morally upright for it to release such unfair words expressed by Guy Scott since PF has expelled those who went against PF to attend the NCC deliberations that have been an asset to Zambia thus far since a better Constitution of the Republic of Zambia will most likely come our way.
Be blest all.

Matt 6:33 But seek ye first the…
Maestro, Do you honestly thing the NCC will deliver a better Constitution of the republic of Zambia? Aah, I reserve my Judgement BUT invite comments from Zambians on that One. I think Maestro lets encourage PF & UPND to resolve their differences and mount a united front. I’m PF But admire the UPND Manisfesto, was a high ranking UPND memeber sometimes and was always in closed door mgment meetings whenever the late mazoka came visiting the province (wont disclose which one cause shushu have been after me, they have tried contacting me on my e-mail I use on LT). UPND or PF cannot win rigged Presidential elections on their own. If UPND & PF do not put a United front, we shall allow MMD to “Pull” through by default & through rigging. The ball is in OUR court to serve OUT match Point.
2 Mpangula Mputyu greetings. Certainly the new Constitution of Zambia will be better than the current 1996 Constitution which Mr PF/Sata MC, FDD president E. Nawakwi and HP self-appointed leader G. Miyanda collectively with other MMD then Mr FJT Chiluba’s stooges enacted for Zambia. The only SAD thing is that there will be no education/literacy qualification for a Zambian to try the President of Zambia elections.
On your “UPND or PF cannot win rigged Presidential elections on their own” I think otherwise and my suggestion is that let us help PF to go for a convention so that there can be delegates for the needed joint PF-UPND PACT convention(s). If PF doesnt go for internal elections, the PACT can concentrate on getting many individual MP and President seats.
…
2 Mpangula Mputyu, following on If PF doesnt go for internal elections, the PACT can concentrate on getting many individual MP and President seats using the PF-UPND PACT’s JNC and NGC MOU operations, if neither Mr self-appoint PF leaders since 2001 Sata MC nor UPND elected-president HH fails to win the President of Zambia seat, then we can use the Dissolution of Parliament through our possible large number of MPs in Parliament to force new Presidential elections where the PF-UPND PACT will then field a single candidate through negotiations after we take note of the 2011 elections votes performance, across the country, of both Mr Sata MC and HH. This is because we will certainly know who between HH and Sata is acceptable to most of the 9 provinces people.

There is a vacancy at Zambia High Commission in Kenya, for a Second Secretary (Protocol), after Mr. Majaliwa Muwaya was installed as Senior Chief Chiwala. Maybe they should consider Mr. Mpombo for the position after all he comes from Ndola rural.

“Dr Scott noted that the ruling party has de-campaigned itself both in Chilanga and Kafulufuta constituencies, adding that the PF will scoop the two seats.” This Muzungu surprises me who told him that PF will win these two seats. I wonder whether the pact is still there. From what I get from Scot we have no pact. Therefore I can safely say both parties UPND and PF will contest Kafulafuta and Chilanga going by Dr. Scot’s imagination. He could have said the pact will scoop the seats.
