  1. Wake up Zambia the campaign kicked off a long time ago. Its like we are going for early elections. However, The composition of the entourage leaves much to be desired. It has turned into family ties on taxpayers money.

  2. In Zambia we no longer have Rover Zambia or the Fiat plant so a 100% VAT on imported cars is ridiculous. What this does is to create a huge influx of overly used cheap cars that are unfit for the roads. I blame the government for most accidents for creating policies and regulations that put unfit cars on the road.

  3. Nosiku and her husband Chido Magata: Are these GRZ officials please? Tax payer’s money I guess and what do they do in the UK if I may ask?

  4. This minister has a ramshackle of a house in Makeni. If he can’t develop his own house using proper plans then what sort of development projects do we expect from him in Kasempa?

  5. #6 Before making comments like yours, it is important to first establish whether that is a Govt vehicle and the two were on Govt payroll. It is also possible that the two are patriot Zambians making personal contributions to help develop their area. Let’s not be quick to condemn, some Zambians in the diaspora are making personal sacrifices not only for their families.

  6. ” when their vehicle lost control ”

Now I understand that is a common way to phrase it, but think about it. Their vehicle was in control of the ride? And then the vehicle lost control? Wasn’t the driver supposed to be in control of the vehicle?

  7. Interesting indeed. Honestly why should a daughter be in the entourage of someone on official duty ? Ala ba MMD Its now ANIMAL FARM. Nway start packing your rags bcoz elections are just near the corner.

  8. #8: “The couple who are resident in United Kingdom are visiting Zambia to check on the developmental projects being undertaken by the Member of Parliament in Kasempa Constituency.”
I dont see anywhere in this article as per you conclusion: “It is also possible that the two are patriot Zambians making personal contributions to help develop their area.”
If you know these two muppets, please let me know what they are doing in UK, or any projects they are undertaking in Zambia.

  9. 10 The elections will not change anything because you, PF or UPND or worse together as pact are ill prepared. Who will vote for disorganised characters like you and others not worth mentioning by name?
With elections round the conrer you don’t even know what chemical, animal or material you want for president, whether kolwe or mabisi.

  10. Sorry meant Chibwantu, but anyway it’s neither here nor there, the point is that come 2011 you will get your worst electoral nose bruising ever.

  11. Take it easy people! It is not uncommon for an MP’s family to be involved in the contituency work. They wold be doing it for the benefit of their fathers or indeed mothers popularity (or even altruistic) There is absolutely nothing wrong! Its not like they are getting paid to be in an entourage. As for what they are doing in the UK, its got no bearing on the story – it is none of your business.

Every single day ministers have drivers pick up and ferry their children, its a perk of the job – deal with it.

Lets focus on real issues and even in terms of abuse of office or corruption, lets focus on material events. 100% eradication is only possible in Utopia.

  12. You Guys lets be realistic. you are say thats tax money give me some prof on the things you say, you even mention the Makeni house wat is the makeni house got to do with accident. and i think you dont know wat you are saying coz you don’t know the difference between a farm house and a ramshackle you must talking from without and making you look foolish. i con ca with you Simon whats is wrong with them being in the UK? for i know is that they where there for school. and now that they are done with School they are back to help Develop the country. which i see no reason to be with there Father as he is trying to Develop the nation. Lets face Facts of life. they wer not in a GRZ car NO NO. that was a private car. so the next time you want to say or write somthing please put your data right.

  13. Interesting indeed that bloggers wish ill on others just for the sake of doing so. I know the family very well and feel I should comment as well. Firstly, makeni house a ramshackle? it housed his family and that is what matters, someone uses their hard earned money to build a house,it is called ramshackle? You want him to steal to make a mansion? Secondly, the only person in the entourage in a govt vehicle is the minister and the rest of the cars are all private vehicles, not even fuel was from govt. Hon.Pande is one of those ministers I can advising to stop using his personal funds in Kasempa becasue as seen from bloggers people dont appreciate. The child was in the UK for school well before her father was in politics, so dont just comment. Those wishing ill, may God forgive you.

  14. #2 GRZ imports these same over used vehicles for the Police, SB and other Government officials. Ever head of Vehicle loans for Doctors, they are all used ones.

  15. Its interesting to learn that according to ZANIS, the so called couple is resident in the UK and are in the country visiting developmental projects in Kasempa. The truth is that girl married a pauper from zimbabwe, who is only relishing to fist on the Honourable’s coffers. The girl herself is a mere university drop out while the boy is an unaccomplished accounting student. Lets not exaggerate the status of the ka couple. The youngstars might end up living in a state of false well being due to the trumpeted media publicity. ZANIS should learn to be objective in their reporting!!!!!

  16. ShuShu #19 Firstly mere comprehension, where in the article does it exaggerate the status of the so called ka couple? the developmental projects do not mean that they are the ones bringing that development but merely inspecting, two very different things. So Zanis is accurate no where does it mention what the couple are doing but as a spiteful individual “accomplished” as it seems , you deem it necessary to classify the husband as a pauper from Zimbabwe, where is the objective reasoning here? is the trumpet in reference to UK? Have a good life ShuShu and lots of riches so you are not called a pauper.
