The Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) has acknowledged that the fight against corruption is far from being won.
ACC Girector General Godfrey kayukwa said the commisiion is committed to ensuring that the levels of the vice are reduced and further called on youths to get on board.
Mr Kayukwa was speaking in Lusaka during the send off ceremony for the schools (ACC) club members.
Mr Kayukwa said youths play an important role in fighting and alleviating corruption and called on them to join in as ambassadors to the community.
He bemoaned the commission’s challenges in receiving funds from government adding that with the coming on board of department of the international development (DFID), more improvements would be made in funding ACC School clubs.

What do you expect when there is no political will from Mr Lupiya baBanda?
To my knowledge, there has been no corruption fighting during RB’s reign. The fight ceased as soon as Late Mwanawasa was put to rest.
its ur govt sir..!we have to fire all of you!come 2011
DfiD is a Donor Agency. Rupiah Banda has repeatedly told donors to pack their bags and leave and has openly shamelessly bragged that nobody invited donors into the country.
Furthermore, his Government has removed the Abuse of Office from the ACC Act.
How does the ACC expect to fight corruption when its own government’s intentions are very clear for all to see, as has been displayed by their recent pronouncements and actions, that FIGHTING CORRUPTION is NOT ON THEIR AGENDA??
SO MR DIRECTOR GENERAL, THINK AGAIN
In my view their actions are very consistent with a desire to perpetuate the “UNCHEKELEKO” culture.
on a completely different subject – can anyone tell me how to get rid of this “brokeback mountain” music LT insists on playing??????
PLEASE GENTLEMEN/LADIES READ THIS ARTICLE IN THE POST”Living on less than a dolar a day “JACKSON Mwamba is lying in the shade of a lantana shrub outside his two-roomed house, staring blankly at nothing in particular. He can’t speak. When he wants something, he just groans.
Bola ya pa zed, I saw the article you are referring to and it just makes you wonder the cold bloodness of those who are consistently saying things are wonderful in Zed, what becomes apparent is the insularity of some of the well to do, such that they are blind to the suffering of the majority. Reminds me of “animal farm”. Progress is when the most weak can have hope and the basics such as a meal and medical care . What bleeds me when I come home is the level of inequality that exists and the deplorable conditions under which the majority live, very inhumane conditions and when one thinks cynically- you wonder how do these people accept these conditions and keep voting the same breed of politicians back into the legislature?? Leaders have a heart for the suffering, these are your people
I have just finished reading Late Jackson Mwamba’s story in the Post and it is heart breaking.
Meanwhile, Rb, Dola Siliya, Shikapwasha, Dr. Musokotwane and their cohorts claim that they have brought US$400m into the economy.
WHO HAS BENEFITTED FROM SUCH VAST SUMS OF MONEY WHEN PEOPLE ARE DYING LIKE FLIES FOR LACK OF BASICS OF LIFE???
I am short of words by the story.Zambians sure are we going to leave our own brother and sisters living and dying like Jackson MWAMBA? No if you read the story and feel the same after wards then don’t do anything about it.
Freinds please share this story on your face book with freinds so that many Zambians can have the big picture of where we are.
This veep Kunda is a crook a turn coat who should not be trusted he went to UK and won a jugdement against Chiluba only to tell us that it cant be registered so he is misleading us again on the Anti Corruption bill even raw lawyers like mulongoti who saved us a triple national morning are commenting on such issues. Come on guys what have u done that scares you so much that u can even bring the draft constitution so that we do the referadum NCC should have reduced presidential powers because most problems come from such powers because so pipo think elected leaders are more wise than others
