Northern Province Minister John Chinyanta has cautioned opposition Patriotic Front (PF ) leader Michael to stop interfering in the operations of health personnel in the Districts.

Mr. Chinyanta said it is unacceptable for Mr. Sata to cause confusion in hospitals in a bid to win political mileage.
The Minister was reacting to Mr. Sata’s impromptu visits to hospitals in Mpulungu, Mbala and Kasama without the knowledge of health authorities in the concerned institutions.

Mr. Chinyanta told ZANIS in Kasama today that the conduct of the PF leader shows lack of respect for both health staff and patients.
He warned that it is unlawful for any individual including Mr. Sata to interfere in the work of public officers to such a level that they fail to execute their duties diligently.

Mr. Chinyanta observed health personnel were working very hard to serve people’s lives and as such they must be supported by everyone.

He wondered why Mr. Sata chose to visit a sensitive ward at Kasama General Hospital without the escort of medical staff.

Mr. Chinyanta advised Mr. Sata to immediately stop his unbecoming behavior of invading in the privacy of patients admitted in hospitals.

The Minister said while clinics and hospitals were public places, there was need for Mr. Sata to consult health authorities on conditions of the patients instead of him storming their wards without notice.

Mr. Chinyanta accused Mr. Sata of playing to public gallery by trying to win support through negative criticism of government.

He observed that government has done a lot in the health sector in Northern Province, adding that health services have become accessible especially to people living in rural areas.

Mr. Chinyanta cited the construction of a new hospital in Mpulungu, the renovation of infrastructure at Mbala and Kasama General Hospitals as some of positive achievements scored by the government.

He added that a threatre at Kasama General Hospital is fully functional contrary to Mr. Sata’s claims that the facility was mal-functional.

Mr. Chinyanta has since advised Mr. Sata to immediately stop interfering in the operations of health personnel by following the right channel in visiting health institutions.

Recently, Mr. Sata in the company with PF officials’ disrupted the work of health personnel after he stormed wards at Mpulungu District hospital as well as Mbala and Kasama General Hospitals without seeking permission from health authorities.

  1. why should he seek permission to visit a hospital. This is exactly what a government inspector should operate. Infact he is just doing the job for RB while he is busy trotting the world. Thumbs up Sata. Kwena ulimwaume. I wonder how Zambian politics would be without Sata.

  2. This Chinyanta must be very dulll. What makes him think hospital workers are children with no mind of their own to distinguish poo (amafi) from substance???

Can’t he just admit his MMD’s failure to provide quality leadership??

  3. Mr.Sata should realise that a hospital does not operate like an hotel which turns away clients when it is fully booked. The reason why GRZ is constructing more clinics and hospitals is precisely to decongest the existing facilities.Even if GRZ bought a million and one beds, blankets etc for Mbala hospital, patients sleeping on the floor will never be eradicated for one reason that hospitals do not chase away patients when all beds have been taken up.

  4. How can Chinyata start a fight so soon? He needs to know how people leadership works in the world, or else he will always be speaking in chileya, elyo bakakunyantapo fye so that you fail to sail through the next time there will be elections.

You as minister of province should have gone to listen to the grievances of the health workers, instead of blaming Mr. Sata. He did not down tools and he is not a health worker – it is the health workers who downed tools. Mr. Sata only responded to their cry when they wailed “mutule”!

  5. Chinyanta is a very ignorant chap. There is no need to ask for permission to visit patients in hospitals. Please pump some sense in this fellow.

  6. Chinyanta please save us the verbal diarrhoea. Sata is doing his work effectively as opposition leader. He doesn’t need permission to visit hospital, because he is not part of Rupiah. Sata can only ask permission from HIMSELF – he doesn’t work for government. What a daft provincial minister…just like all of them in this government.

  7. It is people like Chinyanta who makes better bloggers like us to start insulting. There is nothing wrong for Sata to visit our hospitals.Sata is telling us how pathetic our health centres have become. They are so poignant and life threatening places.President Banda has no time to visit these NAZI concetration camps in the name of hospitals.Him when he is sick,he is taken to South Africa. These concentration camps are for us the poor. When Sata exposes them,it does not mean he is gaining political milage out of it.He is just telling us how cruel and uncaring our so called government has become. We have been subjected to life in a Gestapo government. Our well being is nothing in the eyes of Banda and his friend. We are damped in dirty hospitals like swines in a sty.We deserve better facilities also

  8. Getting sick and tired of Mr. Sata’s antics. This is not worth my popcorn (which arrived yesterday). Doesn’t he have better things to do than politicking day and night? Shouldn’t he be formulating those ambitious 90 day economic miracle plans or better yet, giving his councils a crash course on garbage collection or even getting that PF report on PF led councils.

Learn to follow procedure Mr. Sata.

  9. The minister would be better off with his mouth shut.Dont just comment for the sake of it to preserve your job.Look here ,the writing is on the wall that these few hospitals lack a lot of essentials and yet you are busy building more.Is it making sense? Its like you have a child who you cant provide for adequately yet you want to have 8 more others!

  10. Satana is getting more berserk now. What is he doing in Hospitals. He can’t believe it that he lost the elections in Mpulungu while a person he calls under five won in Chilanga. ABASH SATA, viva RB

  11. Good show Sata. You don`t have to wait till you become the national leader before starting to check on the condition and welfare of the both the patients and the infrastructure. This is not the first time you are doing this coz even time you were health minister that used to be the case.

  12. Kaponya PF SATANA at it again. Playing to the gallery. He was Minister of Health before and he did nothing to improve condition in hospitals. He has been given a red card already in Mpulungu. Stop contaminating the masses. You will never be president of this country. PF LUMPENS!

  13. I have been following the debate. I chose not to eat Popcorns nor participate but wait for the direction debate is taking. More Bloggers have supported SATA’s expose of Hospital inefficiencies and mal-adminstration of the health facilities by the Govt., than those opposing Mr. Sata’s trips. So majority have won. In a democracy majority win. Meaning so far SATA is in order.

  14. Great job Mr. Sata. Please go to other rural areas where you expect government machinery to cheat. Go to as many rural areas as possible! You know that the cities know who you are but not those rural dwellers! You know how to clean up hospitals so forget about those ignorant minister’s comments!

  15. I feel pity for people like Chayo no. 3 who think its normal for patients to sleep on the floor in a hospital. Cmon a hopspital is supposed to have the highest hygine standards what so ever, such that sleeping where people step is completely unaccepted. Anyway she/he needs to travel to be exposed to situations in other worlds. Anyway she/he thinks local, think globally.

  16. Our children’s great grandchildren will have stories to tell. History class will be so surreal and embarrassing to attend.

  17. #1 Anne you said ..I wonder how Zambian politics would be without Sata.

My friend Zambian politics would have advanced way too far if only this Satan was off the stage. What has kept our politics in the mud, trivialities and downright 20 years backward is because of an opposition leader called Satan. I hope next year Zambians get rid of this bad part of our politics called Sata. Has anybody ever heard him articulate what he can do for Zambia.

The other day he was quoted as saying the bumper harvest is just an MMD imagination. Surely is this the politics you need in this age.

MMD really need a better and civilized opposition, not this Kaponyas

  18. VIVA PF ! i will never regret for ditching mmd to join the mighty PF, because PF is the only party which has sensible people .

  19. HH please step in front and save from this politics of the old. These people with his colleague in MMD just fight old battles and our generation deserves or rather has new frontiers which are just too complex to understand and later on focus on by these old folks like RB and Sata

  20. Mashimba said, “….I hope he contracts a deadly disease in the hospitals and leaves Zambia in peace.”

Is he admitting that the hospitals are not so clean that anyone can get a disease and die. No wonder our colleagues fly to South for medicals because ours are full of diseases.

  21. Ba John Chinyanta just woke up and undo waht King Cobra is doing. Its politics and getting geared for 2011. It appears King Cobra has swang into action and seems unstopable. There no where its written in black and white that prominent people can’t visit hospitals. He was to get first hand information on what is happening on the ground. Yes GRZ is building hospitals, schools and road but these will turn out to be white elephants if there no jobs, no teachers for schools and medical personel. Some roads ve bin built but pipo have economic muscle to use them to the fullest. John Chinyanta woke up if you have failed to efficiently to run Northern Provinve Katuka wuyenga Zwaa.

  22. LT, not that it matters but I just wanted to confirm whether the above picture is actually showing a crowd full of PF cadres who attend rallies but do not register to vote??

  23. This morning i listened to the radio talk of Pastor Godwin Kaluwe the USA based Barotseland Patriotic Front leader on Mwape radio (Diaspora) held on Saturday November 20, 2010. It was interesting to hear how Zambians took Pastor Kaluwe head on with facts and patriotism. Kaluwe drifted in bluffs and clueless distress. It was interesting to hear tough and intellectual views of Dr. Kaela Mulenga, Musaba Chilunga, Ms Ngoza Simwanza of Canada, Harrison Musonda, Rabson Lungu, Patricia Kamanga, Mrs Mary (NY) of US and Prof Richard Mbewe of Poland. Just wondering why no caller came out pro secession of Barotseland. It is no secret that Dr.Mulenga, Prof Mbewe, Rabson Lungu and Mr.Harrison Musonda came out with overwhelming questions on Kaluwe as he battled to articulate his separation calls.

  24. Papa J

Although in Bemba they say “Uwawa tabula kabepesho” just like the english say “If all wishes were horses”, I wonder how and why Sata has stood in your way, or barred, or distracted you from pulling the size of crowds he pulls at his rallies.

    You claim that
“Zambian politics would have advanced way too far if only this Satan was off the stage.
What has kept our politics in the mud, trivialities and downright 20 years backward is because of an opposition leader called Satan.
You hope next year Zambians will get rid of this bad part of our politics called Sata. Truthfully no sane person would buy your cheap and shameless admission of failure.

YOU ARE JUST PLAYING THE BLAME GAME TO MUSK YOUR FAILURE.

JUST GET ONTO THE POLITICAL SCENE AND SELL YOURSELF TO WEIGH…

  25. All zambians crave for development first and formost, 2nd is peace. have you ever heard Sata discussing or putting forward Ideas to develop Zambia ????

  26. ‘Printing of ballot papers locally cheers government’

GOVERNMENT says it will ensure that Government Printers earns the confidence of election stakeholders in the printing of ballot papers. Minister of Works and Supply Mike Mulongoti said Government will be happy to print ballot papers locally if there is trust.“If it is possible, printing of ballot papers can be done locally except there is the issue of trust,” Mr Mulongoti said.Mr Mulongoti said the ministry is working on the Electoral Commission of Zambia’s requests that CCTV cameras be installed where printing of ballot papers takes place at Government Printers.

  27. Viva Sata. We are almost there. Show this mad mind of distraction(mmd), that we are here to develop our country and not just going around all over like imbwa ibidulwela. I mean Thb vasco dagama we ve pad zed.

  28. Sata is a kaponya for life.No reasoning in his head.Zambia is better without you.Take time off and rest .You have no farm in mpika where you can go and farm ???

  29. For those that Say Sata is a Kaponya and has no reasoning like MM2011, You are Just a Bunch of stupit Kaponyas Yourselves who survives on Kedyela masuku pamutu. Sata as a presidential Candidate has all the rights to go anywhere and see what problems are affecting Zambians coz thats why he is running for president not like you RB and most of you bootlickers, you only Support MMD and hate Sata so much, becoz you know that once the guy is Voted into office ninshi kwanu kwasila. Go hung with all your wishes by saying Sata will never be presido. haha i will tell you something. There are so many people like myself who wants Sata to be president, if you are a patriotic Zambian and you love you country, You know who can take us there, Not you Jokers of RB. Viva MC SATA our next presido

  30. Go Sata Go!!!!!
You have hit these opportunistic plunderers where it hurts most. Do not relent You are doing a good job exposing them

    Keep these rats running

  31. Whatever gimmicks Sata does takatekepo. Why cause drama in hospitals when you are failing to account for US$100,000.00. The 2011 eleven election has already been won thats the more reason we are serious with the Sixth National Development Plan. Come 2011 the same pattern will emerge: first release results for CB and Lusaka and the unleash results from Mpulungu Mbala Chimbamilonga. The Tanzania pattern will replicate in Zambia because rural voters cannot be cheated by Satana’s antics. Only Town dweller who dont see potential in themselves can be cheated by satana wakantu believing him on 90 day development. Come 2011 Sata will be a fossil fuel

  32. Ba President is paraded on National TV on daily basis but just a few photos in the Post is causing the Government to panic! Soon the Cobra will be hammering on the maize which is going to waste and the Government will be busy refusing! The Global fund have said that we have failed to account for Aids money but we want to pretend that it is a lie…

  33. #28, these crowds are real and they are registered voters who actually vote for Sata. We know of VJ who has always been robbing zambians of leaders of their choice through his criminality. I wonder if VJ will be able to save RB from Sata next year becouse it seems that Sata has really done his political home work.

  34. Sata Sata …the only man who can steer Zambia to great development. He knows how to play polictics while the MMD-thieves just react to his leading.

Guys, can you see how dull your GRZ ministers are? Their dull president RB has never visited any hospital in Zambia not even the people who were shot by the useless chinese. But waite for while, soon RB will start visiting hospitals since the president of Zambia( Sata ) has visited hospitals.

Mmm this is RB and his minions for you. They just react to Sata, Sata always sets the agenda which the MMD-thieves follow.

Imagine thats the Gonvt you have Zambia. Thats why Sata aleteka 2011, so we teach unforgetable lessons to MMD-thieves.

VIVA SATA, VIVA PF..PA BWATOOOOOOOOOOOOOO mamaweee.

  35. As young people in the Party, we have appreciated your political services in Zambia. However, as youths in PF we see no hope of ascending to higher positions if we continue recycling old politicians who were born in the 1930s – 1940s. We feel it is high time you paved way for young leadership born in the 1960s and 1950s. This trend will take the nation forward. Even in the bible Lottie was told not to look backward. The nation will be disastrous if it looks back for a president born in the 1930s to lead us now.
    FACTS:
    • When season comes, tree shed off old leaves to pave way for new ones, and then only can you see good fruits.
    • As one grows old, mental faculties deteriorate. If one is old, no matter how you may paint hair black it still remains grey.
    • You cannot recall all old model

  36. Continuation #42
vehicles e.g. bed fords, land rovers and put them on the road to compete with new ones, how can the town look like?
We youths in the party are geared to give the country the right direction as follows:
? KK was born in the 20s. He became president at 40 years.
? You were born in the 30s and should have taken over from KK but you failed.
? Chiluba, born in the 40s instead fought hard to remove KK from power, the task you & RB should have accomplished.
? Levy was born towards 50s took over from Chiluba.
Therefore logic has it that we need someone from the 60s now who will be able to handover to those in the 70s. This makes sense. YOUR TIME IS GONE.

  37. Indeed this man was here and typical of him he attracted a crowd, out of excitement he almost assure as of a sovereign state of mbala and mpulungu should pf come to power. we went to watch him as a pass time due to lack of entertaint here.he promised a lot of niceties but we all recalled that this man has been around for too long and always influencial.what will he do for us now which he didnt do then. so our resolve is not vote for this conman.he is a cheat

  38. Thats good courage, moreover Sata is just showing what RB is supposed to do to improve conditions in this pathetic Hospitals in Zambia rather than him RB touring the world day in day out. I bet RB does’nt care coz for him when he is sick he goes to SA. Be a man RB show leadership in your followers in government. Sata is just showing you how a leader fight for his people.

  39. Heee MMD-thieves, you are wondering whether the smallest crowd you are seing is for Sata….hold on guys , soon it will be 2011 , you shall see the historial crowd in the whole Zambia.

Waite ou MMD thugs… time is nigh guys, time has come for you to be thrown into the olical archives like UNIP has been. Waite and see how Sata will slap you hard in the 2011 election.

    Viva PF …Pabwatoooooooo

  40. Someone update me, has the once talked about PACT with a frenze died or they have chosen Sata as Presidential candidate already? If they have, do they really Sata can par MMD at national level from border to border? Can he win the confidence and vote of Southern, Western, Eastern, North Western, Central, and all rural votes which rally at 60%. Can he lock Luapula votes under prevalent hostility? Good luck y’all.

  41. #48, you are leaving in the past. Let us not ague about your points, wait for 2011 presidential campaigns.
Sata is moving into western province next year. The strategy is already in place.

  42. Mr Sata is a really desperate politician. He is now the health inspector. Can you imagine if all the opposition party leaders with their entourages were to start visiting hospitals? Whatever happens, Sata will never lead Zambia. Never. Even if we ran shot of manpower – he will not.

  43. Dull chap, Sata did what was right because the provincial minister was sleeping and eating tax payers. Shameful they cannot pick a leaf from what Sata did. Come 2011….

  44. king cobra desist 4rm yo unbecoming conduct of impromptu visits to public health institutions without 4llowing protocol.Honestly as a mere recycled politician what are u upto, are those the last kicks of a dying horse? Mudala exhibit maturity.De gvt is doing fine interms of building more hospitals in order to decongest the already existing health cntres.come on and shine yo eyes.By the way do you follow current affairs both on electronic or print media 4 u 2appreciate rather than just relinquish your vernom on baseless political retholics.Mpulungu no doubt is one of the beneficiaries.Mudala no wonder Chiluba neva opted 4u coz u’re not a presidential material & u’ll neva be one.VIVA RB,VIVA HH. u’re men of high propensity & foresight 4 this country. And not de king cobra as it can spit on…

  45. Ladies and Gentlemen,
    Please welcome,
The next President of the Republic of Zambia,
The patriotic son of the land, King Cobra,
    His Excellency, Michael Chilufya Sata!

  46. For Sata does not want to be asked by Jesus why he didn’t when he was in Hospital,so what protocol is required for one to visit a Hospital? You just don’t visit your sick relatives but anyone else.
