Kalu-Faz Threatens Police Action

Share

File:Football association of Zambia president Kalusha Bwalya arrives late for a press briefing at Football House in Lusaka

The Kalusha Bwalya-led FAZ faction has threatened to report the November 26 bloc to the police for allegedly purporting to be speaking on behalf of Football House.

“The Football Association of Zambia has noted that in the last few weeks there has been a group of people acting and purportedly speaking on behalf of the association as we as engaged in the illegal and unauthorized use of the Faz name, logo and letterheads,” Faz general secretary George Kasengele said in a statement.

Kasengele said those using any registered Faz trademarks face prosecution for criminal conduct and will be reported to the police.

“The Football Association of Zambia will therefore not hesitate to take action against those involved in such illegal vices this will include reporting such people to the appropriate action,” Kasengele said.

The November 26 bloc led by Andrew Kamanga has yet to open a registered physical address and have said they will do so in due course.

  1. This is nonsense! They know it is Simataa, Kamanga and the group, why not just go straight to police and report them, why are they saying “those who are using Faz logo etc”. Why waste time as if they do not know who is doing it!

  2. Zambians why can’t you sort this pig called Simataa Simataa. He will mess up our game if you allow him unchecked. He is cash hungry and a failure in life. Nimbushi Simataa.

  3. Are they going to arrest those police and Zambia army teams because they are on Simaata’s side, take note most of the big teams are not for Kalusha. Threats will not take them any were sit down and talk to resolve this problem.

  4. Kalusha, you will not lose face to be humble and accept the peoples’ decision. Stop these rantings and unfounded threats. They will not take you anywhere
The Kamanga group is legitimate and will not be intimidated. You are the one that flouted the FAZ constitution and have continued operating illegally.
You act like a spoiled kid.

  5. It is not simataa but Kalu bwalya…!!! The boy is useless,..!!! He does not know how to write like one politician I do not want to mention..!!!!

  6. ViVa Andrew Kamanga! kalusha bwalya and his little puppies should resign. They have brought us shame and runined the soccer statndards in this country. Shaaaa!!

  7. Galu no one trust you just like wise pipo don’t trust the old pig Satan. First of all the police should arrest you bcoz in the eyes of Zambian you are illegal only the corrupt FIFA like you.

  8. Some comments donot make sense why allege that FIFA is corrupt but at the same time pleading to them to acknowledge your existance! FIFA have stated their position,it is either you go with them or form your local “FIFA” and call it ZIFA.

  9. we’re not even in an election year and already so much drama, i wish they’d make a tv show highlighting all these comedic episodes.

  10. Shi philipo tell me that you don’t follow football & you don’t read BBC. Don’t be like Bana market who just believe stories even if it’s a gossip. FIFA vice president has been accused of vote selling so that is corruption. Don’t just post your comment if you lack knowledge on the topic. I know you like galu but he is not going anywhere.

  11. Galu’s premier league next year matero united chibulu united, mansa tigers, mining rangers, kapiri engles….,,

  12. This Shimata shimata has been in FAZ even when Kalu was a player, now at this point he has turned himself around and start acting against FAZ lead by Kalu on issues that can be resolved without even showing much hatred. And all these years Simata has been in FAZ no meaniful archievements have out from FAZ confussions only besides Zambian football poor performantce due to lack of logistics in place by FAZ. yesterday he Simata said FAZ is not even registered with registrar of societies,so if its true, who’s problem is that? is it kalu who just joined FAZ few years ago or simata’s problem who have been in FAZ even when kalu was a player? simata thinks he can confuse every one, we know ba simata pakulilamo pashupa.

  13. Kalu is turning out to be a drama queen! The FAZ statutes clearly state that when 3 committee members quit, then an emergency council meeting has to be convened. This occurred yet the great one wants to still cling on. Surely, he’s failed to be an inspirational leader and al those people can’t be wrong! He’s been signing backdoor deals behind his colleagues backs and the only reason he survived this long was his State House connections.

  14. Why point an accusing finger at Samata for all the problems that have happened at FAZ. If Samata is involved, it is only a fraction. Remember people have been resigning from FAZ, whose problem is it, is it Samata, clubs have boycoted, whose problem is it, is it Samata. Lets us not bury our heads in the sand when we know what the problem is. Stop hero worshiping, your Kalusha is taking advertage of his past glory to remain in power. If Kalusha is really interested in Zambian footbal,l he should not be the first one calling for the suspension of Zambian football at FIFA, only a fool can do that. If clubs boycot then who is he leading. Even at national level, if two thirds of cabinent ministers do not want their president, the best thing a president can do is to resign than nominate others

  15. Yes simata is behind all these problems.those who resigned are cowared.simata promised them something.simata is capable of creating confussion.

  16. Shibata Shibata. Always yapping ill stuff. Kalu you are the legal FAZ President. Why are these guys full of hatred? If they meant well, why did they go to Kalu and advise him to change on policy or anything thr’ the meetings? All this comes to selfishness and personal vendetta. Pull Him Down PHD pa Zambia. The guy is well qualified to run FAZ! When he was a coach for Zambia the same guys pulled him down! If the person had a different skin they would think he was well qualified! It will take a long, long time to change our people!

  17. Simata ifi.to.le ubukulu kwatifimenso fyakwe. Simata knows very well that his faction will never ever get to anywhere no matter what credence they try to solicit from the public. Yep i thought Ponga was intelligent. this ponga and finished kazabu and david phiri are a disgrace to football fraternity

  18. Kalu, please restore order at FAZ quickly. Those pretenders wish to destroy our international soccer image. Zambia is a democracy where people follow rules and regulations. It is unacceptable for a group of people to disregard the structures that are in place and attempt to create a coup at FAZ. This says a lot about the country as a whole if such behaviours are condoned. People will not take us seriously if such conduct is allowed. As we speak a lot of damage has been done already that will take time to repair. I urge all those tasked with running FAZ to clean up the house and continue running soccer in the country until their terms are finished.

  19. Fifa accused

Three senior officials at football’s world governing body, Fifa, have been accused of corruption by the BBC’s Panorama programme.

Nicolas Leoz, Issa Hayatou and Ricardo Teixeira are alleged to have taken bribes from a marketing company in the 1990s.

In addition, Jack Warner is accused of trying to procure $84,000 (£54,000) worth of 2010 World Cup tickets to sell on the black market.

The four men are part of a 22-man panel which will vote on Thursday on where to stage the 2018 and 2022 World Cup tournaments

  20. #20, “The FAZ statutes clearly state that when 3 committee members quit, then an emergency council meeting has to be convened.” That is where the comedy of errors started but that is also where Simataa’s team could have nailed Kalu if indeed they have that 2/3 majority. But Simataa and his team received poor legal advice or from charlatan lawyers. By the FAZ statutes, the FAZ which is holding office (the General Secretary) should call that emergency council meeting to ratify or appoint replacements in order to legitimize itself. CONT’D

  21. #3 + others pliz I refuse to believe Simataa is simply being malicious. even with obversation I have no intention to canonise the faction. Do you people think Zanaco; Zesco; defence teams are stupid to be misled by Simataa. I have every reason to doubt this.

  22. CONT’D from 27
If Simataa had 2/3 they would have attended that ECM but refuse to legitimize Kalu’S FAZ Executive. That would have dissolved the FAZ instantly and FIFA would have no say. Instead these guys called their own “emergency council meeting” which is not provided for in the FAZ statutes. To start with they did not have a General Secretary or any official position from which to convene an ECM. They are simply councillors holding no official position in FAZ, and they have no mandate to run the affairs of FAZ let alone calling an ECM. CONT’D

  23. CONT’D from 29
They gave that mandate to the Kalu FAZ Executive and the mandate remains there WITH or WITHOUT the four Executive members who resigned, until an ECM legimately called by the existing FAZ takes away that mandate. This is what FIFA have been advising all along but Simataa’s team was so pre-occupied with “imminent power” that they did not see the golden opportunity to take power neatly. Simataa should just accept the blame for misleading others, but it was also a case of a blind man leading other blind men. CONT’D

  24. CONT’D from 30
These guys have fuc.ked up big time and Kalu has emerged as the law abiding citizen while the rest are anarchists. That is why they will not get anywhere with FIFA. If FIFA does carry out its unspecified threats, you can rest assured that those sanctions WILL INCLUDE BANNING Simataa, Kamanga and all the “Interim Executive” from all soccer activities for life. Someone take this message to Simataa and his team to back down tomorrow before the FIFA axe falls. Don’t be hoodwinked by the FIFA offer to meet in Zurich on 31st December 2010. They will be fed up with this nonsense sooner and crack the whip, or is it the axe?

  25. For Gods sake FIFA should hold on. Threats will not resolve anthing once and fall. Across the African continent surprising FIFA resolves various national associations problems mostly with their employers (governement) through threats of suspension. could there be a different way of doing this than just covering up.

  26. Oh, and by the way, do not be naive. FIFA will remain FIFA and those corruption allegations will not change that fact or their principles, nor their imminent decision on Zambia.

  27. Hate is the consequence of fear; we fear something before we hate it; a child who fears noises becomes a man who fears noises. This is what Simataa grew up fearing people who are better than him.
Any me, I hated Simataa ever since his existence, and I will ever hate him just as he hates Kalusha.

  28. Just finished watching Emmanuel Mayukas team beat a Germany team in Europa cup where our boy Mayuka scored a brace in a 4-2 win over a Germany team. Whoever, took the boy to Europe and whatever methods were used to have him get there did well because this boy is putting our flag high. Can Simaata manage to send someone to Europe. Wake up Zambians what does Simaata have that European teams can see in him? Limbi ulufumo

  29. am not in doubt but just wondering how simaata squared current FAZ general secretary imposter can plan to run for FAZ office and run a football club…this man needs to enter a rehab clinic, he has some issues bothering him and maybe he thinks he can use FAZ to further his football club…the chap is so simple. Go out and try to find sponsors, stop trying to hijack offices for people who are still saving their term. bloody desparado..

  30. #35 …yeah u right…Kalu dug up da small boy Mayuka n made connectionz 4 him….we dont care Kalu did it dubiously or not bt da fact still remains dat Mayuka is in Europe doing goood..!!! Viva KALU #36 …u so right!! we nid more thinkers like u!

  31. Shibata Shibata would b happy if FIFA banned us but we Zambians love soccer too much we d rather have Rupiah Banda and MMD banned than miss out on our beloved football. Pulizi isn’t there an organizatiion that bans politicians? The real Patriiot #3 Let’s work out a plan to sort thiis fat shit Shibata Shibata so we can save and serve our football man!

  32. Ba Kalusha, just resign please and let the zambian football people lead themselves. You can still be part of this as an agent and get our boys to good clubs legally. I am sure you do not need the money? Also, you reside in SA and hence forth let the people of zambia control their own destiny.

But if there is plenty of loot, let me know and i will secure you at Football house just like kasengele is doing!

  33. #15 Chama Chakomboka……………………If FIFA is corrupt and i know Zambians hate corruption and are not even corrupt, then the best thing to do is ditch FIFA and form your own local FIFA called ZIFA just like what Philipo has posted. Of what use is it to keep on talking and denouncing but still cling to FIFA.

Then those of you who are advocating for a ban, let me tell you that all you will be punishing are your players and officials because every sponsor will pull out of the game and your players will have no international exposure. Mind you these players are your brothers who earn their living thru that. Be mindful….year 2012 is not very far, wait…….how have HH & Sata managed to have RB until 2011 or other elections.

  34. 339 gALILEO………………..Why are you forcing Kalu to resign as if he has committed a crime? if he has stolen anything, why not involve the auditor general Chifungula do audit FAZ books and take it up from there. Remember you elected him upto 2012 just like you elected RB upto 2011. Where is the problem here.? would you love someone to marry your wife when you are still alive?//

  35. To hell to all the losers who attended the ECM at inters hotel including those old useless so called Faz life members like chi kazabu and the rest all the know is the stone age soccer of 5 change goals and 10 finish ball shame on you haters with your obese simataa simataa.

  36. Iwe #43 naine naliteeleko iya 3 change goals 6 finish ball. Nefi goal fya mabwe we chana ( ninshi natushitika nempiya – 20 ngwee 20 ngwee). ngamule liding’a by 4 goals elo keeper wabo aisa ninshi balalanda ati uyu mwingishe te keeper wesu now that our true goal keeper has come yala amba zero zero.

  37. Listen to katie good on #27,29,30,31&33.
wat a wise way to debate & put across progressive thots. wel done non emotional zambian.
insulting or acusing simata or kalu is unproductive and senseless.
Earlier I had called for interested parties to acuse kalu of theft by public servant not constitution abrogation or lack of concensus coz seriously speaking even the simata team hav abrogated the same constitution.
Yes simata and team lost golden opotunity to usurp power cleanly wen they decided to depend on NSCZ, past FAZ presidents & some Lawyers. Nothing will b achived as FIFA will surely ban simata and team. Let kalu finish term…

  38. …I say let kalu finish the term coz I feel for the kamanga faction. they will badly fall to the ground with the loudest thud, and will neva administer football soon or later.
If kalu has not stolen let him administer futball in his term.
I read simata saying kalu & Kamanga met at zambezi source lodge and kamanga was carrying a host of conditions including kalu to recognise kamanga faction and kalu saying he met kamanga unofficially.
I thot kalu spok wisely coz the mting is supozd to be at least full house from either side and shd be formalised not jst 2 pipo.
So until fifa mts faz & govnmnt on 21st Dec, let kalu and team continue.

  39. Interim FAZ have messed themselves up by meeting Kalu, they have betrayed their supporters.
It’s odd that FIFA want to invite govt to talks, why??

  40. I remember from my old days at primary school, there were things like FAZ is to FIFA,Simaata is to Amakumbi Stars whilst Government must focus on other equally important aspects like HIV/ADIS.

Away from FAZ,FIFA or Government and little known Kamanga.Emmanuel Mayuka scored a brace in a space of two minutes for his team Young Boy FC to qualify for the last 32 in Europa Cup via a 4-2 victory.

  41. The Kamanga led faction, has no agenda and no Vision; They just woke up from the slumber and surprised themselves with big positions in FAZ. This is not how you assend to power. Kamanga needs to wait for 2012 maybe by then he would have some vision for our football. Kalu should not resign or football administration will go to gold diggers. Kalu may have made mistakes but he is currently in office legally as he called for the E.C.M and those that atteded endorsed him and co-opted new members.

  42. Ladies and Gentlemen, I am appealing to our collective determination as a country. Since when did the Zambian government start being given orders by FIFA? FIFA is just an organization that runs football in the world. We are a country. Blatter and his men must learn to respect that. The fact that we an african country does not make us any lesser. If it was a problem in England, would FIFA say come to Zurich. Minister of Sport, tell these crooks to come here to Zambia and a government following a group of crooks runing a cartel. Look at the calibre of pipo in CAF/FIFA. Heya2, Kalu etc. We are a country who should not globe trot with a person with questionable dealings in Kalu. Let FIFA swallow their pride and come here to meet gvt.

  43. Did we have our local league games yesterday? Simaata Simaata and Kamanga answer me. DO YOU REALLY KNOW HOW TO WAIT! Its only 15 months before the next FAZ elections SO WAIT, patience pays.

  44. What patience iwe? by the time next year comes kalu will be at fifa as danny sung in his song. contrary to the rylics, thje guy has lost value. i challenge you, if he hasnt lost it, why does he always have police protection at every meeting? the guilty are afraid. let the chap go now. he must eat his own vomit. we dont need any more he has lost value.

  45. let us allow the law to guide. there is need for FIFA to do a fact finding mission kalusha may be Doctoring issues remember how he used cleverness to score goals

  46. The Simataa group equally erred by not accepting a meeting organized by Football House. This could have been the right platform for them to air their grievances and charting the way forward. They dearly pushed for this meeting and when it materialized, but alas , they had already moved on and settled for the Interz meeting..

  47. Doctoc Doc seems to be fine in his/her doctrine, fact finding i think it is a more better approach. But meanwhile NO forming of sub-FAZ and forcing clubs to boycot games. As a result, I still say patience or perhaps Simaata and little known Kamanga must hold on untill 30thMarch,2012.

  48. NO. 50 you are spot on. Why should FIFA order a government to travel to Zurich to explain the happenings at FAZ. The same way FIFA sent their reps to the Kalusha ECM is the same way they should come to meet GRZ officials. In any case, why should they send the invitation to govt. through Kalusha?

  49. No 58
    The letter say:
We(FIFA)would be happy to discuss this issue,as well as general issues related to football development in Zambia, with you and with a high-level government representative.
Therefore,we would like to propose to organise such a meeting at the Home of FIFA,here in Zurich,on 21-12-2010.
Its a proposal to Government via the FAZ.I earlier said and took people like you back to basics FIFA is to FAZ.

  50. If you ask me the stranded chap, and head of confusion here is SIMAATA SIMAATA, nakunchito banamu pisha because of his controversial conduct, how do you come and say FAZ is not registered when he was at the helm at some point before kalu?it was okay for him to lead an unregistered FAZ then i guess, suddenly theres a problem with that, lets be careful with this guy, he does not mean well, track his record and you’ll see.KALU equally has made mistakes and needs to be advised. we need people who have our country at heart to sort this one amicably not job seekers whose aim is to destroy each other in public.Remeber what you know is only based on what you either read in papers or hear on news, i suggest you dig this one deeper, you might find some tunnels here.

  51. Zambians like positions of power but they don’t know what to do with them. Their first loyalty is to the own pockets. RB, Kalusha, HH, Sata all want us to elect them but they cannot demonstrate why we should? What a country! That is why foreigners go quietly about their task of looting our resources while we bicker about positions which mean nothing to your average Zambian.
