Renard For Al Ahly?

Share

Ex-Zambia Herve Renard could be heading to Egypt before the start of 2011 according to news reports from North Africa.

Filgoal.com reports that Renard is on the shortlist of coaches the Cairo giants are eyeing after former trainer Hossam Al Badry recently resigned from the record six-time African club kings.

The site quoted Renard as saying he was in talks with Al-Ahly over the prospect of coaching the team.

“Talks are ongoing and we are currently in a decisive stage. Ahly have to decide who they want for the job,” Renard told Filgoal.com.

Renard recently quit a lucrative two year deal to coach Angola just six months into his contract after leaving the Zambia job in April.

  1. Renard walyuma akaputi ku culu! abena zambia balikutipa bcoz of how u treated them.next we shall hear ur coaching simba warriors in dodoma!

  2. Bloggers, Have u noticed that all Zambian news sites(Post Times Daily Mail) are down except for LT and Watchdog?

  3. Renard, you came as a P.E. teacher, took up some averagely talented young boys called “Chipolopolo boys” who later went and put up a galant fight at the last Africa cup finals in Angola. You took all the efforts and credited it to your name and shamelessly dumped the boys!

God is still seeing you and will keep on sorting you out. Wanya.

  4. Let him join the Arabs and he this time he will resign after two weeks. He thought he was going to be a Mourinho in Africa but unfortunately he is just a P.E teacher.

  5. Actually Simataa and Kamanga have already contacted Renard for Zambian coach. Simataa openly said he wishes Zambia to lose at CECAFA and COSAFA. Simataa hates Msiska because he was a great player just like Kalu.

  6. It’s good to see zambians with no inferiority complexes commenting boldly. Thus we said he was a PE teacher that used our nation as a spring board. Why not give the spring board to a Zambian! For once my goodness.

  7. Iwe Garagan no.1 what do you mean ati “walyuma akaputi ku culu!” Ha ha ha ati walyuma akaputi ku culu. Can someone translate this into english? Is this Bemba or Tubulu language?

  8. I think I am the most successful coach the world over in the history of the sport. How has that been? I’ve coached one team almost all my coaching life! Simple isn’t it? I had my colleagues who were good coaches and kept hopping from one to another, where are they? Just one lucky Rednapp!

  9. I have seen it happen to players as well. One Robinho, a certain Bellamy and during my current stay here in Zambia I have seen Elson Mkandawire and, a few years back, Masauso Tembo. These never fullfilled their potential like my pride Ryan Giggs and Paul Scholes!

  10. pipo you will never appreciate at first you wanted him gone and now you want him to come and say goodbye for wat, leave him alone football in zed sucks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
