Nothing Sinister about BA meeting-Kaingu

Share

Community Development Minister, Michael Kaingu

There is nothing unusual over the meeting held with some stakeholders in Mongu over the recent demonstrations in the district, Community Development Minister, Michael Kaingu has said.

Mr Kaingu is the Cabinet Minister who had a meeting which has been reported by a public Newspaper to have been clandestine.

But he has told ZNBC news today, Monday, that his meeting was in good faith.

He said the meeting was aimed at convincing people to give chance to dialogue that is currently going on between government and the Barotse Royal Establishment-BRE.

Mr Kaingu said he decided to remain behind after ministers from Western Province were called by the Litunga, to engage into dialogue with some stakeholders and encourage them to desist from violence.

Mr. Kaingu has appealed to every Lozi to always engage in dialogue as opposed to taking the law into their own hands.

He said the use of force is not a sustainable way of resolving issues.

The Zambia Daily Mail on Monday 17th January 2011 carried a story saying a cabinet minister had been named in an alleged covert mission to frustrate dialogue between Government and the Barotse Royal Establishment (BRE) over the Barotseland Agreement of 1964.

The Paper indicated that Clandestine activities have enraged the BRE which had questioned the motive of the named minister accused of holding a postmortem meeting of the activities of the Linyungandambo, Barotse Patriotic Front (BPF) and Barotseland Freedom Movement (BFM).

  1. MMD Individuals including there supporters have run mad. Not sure they have any clue on what is required from them or what they really need to do. Looks like the old saying is true, he who the Lord wants to kill first makes them mad. Thats exactly what am seein now. A bunch of OLD, TIRED and MAD People.

  2. Before RB left for Luapula he told us that there is DIALOGUE on the BRE issue. Kaingu tells us Government is in Dialogue with BRE. So who is saying the truth, the president or the Cabinet minister???? and what is the Truth????

  3. Now even his own cabinet ministers are preaching a different song. Well, I do not blame Kaingu, come general elections this year there will be a wipe out of MMD MPs from the province and Kaingu is just being strategic to save his skin. It’s also interesting how nearly all the MPs from Barotseland are quite not uttering a single word. Anyway, ni lwaka noah tata, lekeni lunye bebele, every hour ni pwereteteee like fimo fimo’s weakened AIDS infected bowels.

  4. “…The president said it was wrong for some politicians to take advantage of the Barotse Agreement issue when such a matter was conclusively dealt with in 1964…..”

  5. This is the Guy Kabonde should be pursuing, the guy had dark corner meetings right there in Barotseland and the next day there is violence. Lets hear what these MMD vuvuzelas, Ngande Mwanajiti, Edwin Lifwekelo and their thief Government Vuvuzela will blow out!

Sata has been vindicated .The Minister is right to admit that there is a problem in Western province and that Govt.should take responsibilty.

  8. Elo lwanya nomba, ama Cabinet Ministers niba BPF naba BFM ka, yaba!!! Even the Litunga himself does not like or talk to these thugs!!! So what possessed this Minister?!!!!!!!!!!!

  9. Our Phd students are researching to find out whether he remained behind with the blessing of the party or RB. For now, now masses believe that if he stayed without the blessings of the part & RB, then he deserves a sack for being …

  10. Is this the Kunda’s named minister implicated into the Black Bull Saga ?Or is the Saga a within the circles Thing to cause confusion in the divide and rule technique? People need to be investigated.Don’t just look at the Sauce pan from it’s external appearances.Go deep and find the route causes.Fishy-fishy-fishy.No od should be trusted.Especially baka myanga insapato they are sharp destroyers

  11. Thre is nothing wrong with the meetings that Kaingu held. As a responsible Minsiter, he just wanted to get to grips with what was on the ground and make informed decisions for the govt.. That is what we call working Minister!!

  12. Too many rebel groups in that Lozi desert, they will not succeede they should have just 2 groups, the already organised group which just into the swamps, then one on land (in sand). Otherwise they will not overcome Shikapwasha’s forces.

You dont hold covert and clandestine meetings to get to grips with what is on the ground now do you.Thats what we actually call being crooked, snitch, two faced ingrate; DOG loyalty,in the day it licks its master, come night time it runs off to lick another

  16. Some people who thronged the airport to catch a glimpse of President Banda were seen raising the PF symbol at the motorcade.

  17. Is this not the same guy who compared RB to God .after that statement i dont think he is fit to be a minister or be in a position of leadership .govt does not work hapharzadly .who gave him permission to hold a meeting .did it have the blessings of the president .these are serious questions that must be answered.in a volatile situations like that the govt can only be represented by an entourage that may have some offers to make .in this case what was his offer if the presido did not send him .we need answers and not reasons for holding the meeting .yes we know there is a problem .in barotse, but that is common knowledge .kaingu must be fired .period

  18. There is something very wrong about what Kaingu did because he was not sent by his master to do it. So start packing big man!

  19. Leave Kaingu alone….you expect him to talk like Dora or Shikampwasha ……..no his Lozi he was taught well . You cant be always aganist even when the you know the BA is valid. Just talk to the people and teach them non violence and bring their ideas to the table and agree or dis agree. thats the way normal people behave.

  20. Friends,

Have you forgotten this is the minister alleged to be in charge of Bush Allowance? How can he be trusted this time arround?

Stick to the issue in the article. So what if they raised their clenched fists? They will keep raising those fists till kingdom come.

  22. this man is couragious more than his boss and his caurage must be admired. he realised there was a problem in western province which his boss could not recognise and decided to meet and counsel the agrieved party to give time for the government to dialogue with the BRE. Some blogers here only know how to critisize, they dont stop to think before they critisize. you are already judging kaingu before knowing the contents of his meeting, besides this man is lozi it is his home land on fire he can not for his boss to come and quench the fire which is garting his homeland

  23. Why bother? The Lozis agitating for secession are mad . Let them break away and let us see what they will do with their barren Lozi land. Bull Shit.

  24. Kudos to Kaingu. At least he is not suffering from indecision like his boss who is failing to show leadership on this matter.

  25. How did he get the money without RB’s blessing? RB realised that people have have come to know his tactics in WP, now he wants to sacrifice Kaingu to save his skin. They were busy hiding behind Sata as a violent man, yet they were busy distributing money to people to cause chaos and discredit Sata. During the 2008 Presidential by-election, they went into the bushy rural commnities, poisoning them that Sata is an evil man, who will kill all HIV positive people and deport all Mbundas to Angola, and people gave them their vote. Later, RB spat on the good people’s face of WP, saying he never solicited for their vote.

Now, who is more violent between RB and Sata? Lets not forget the current Political Technical Advisor to RB, presided when we saw the most suspicious political…

  26. From #40
…………Political assassinations. Having said that, wanting problems solved in WP through violence by the concerned people is not acceptable, and making matters worse, the flyers threatening to kill non-Lozis is disgusting, and unreasonable. But, this has a political failure attached to it.

BA 1964 must conclusively be dealt with once and for all. He must be fired immediately, what is RB waiting for? Making sure the pandora’s box is not opened, of course.

THE BEGINNING OF THE END OF MMD……..

  27. CORRUPTION MADE ME LEAVE THE MMD-JUDITH KAPIJIMPANGA

JUDITH Kapijimpan-ga says she is shocked with the MMD’s U-turn on the fight against corruption.
And Kapijimpanga said the MMD is headed into oblivion.

Addressing a public rally in Lusaka’s Zingalume compound over the weekend after she resigned from MMD to join PF, Kapijimpanga, who served as MMD chairperson for lands and member of the national executive committee (NEC), told the crowd that she was among the parliamentarians that signed for the removal of former president Frederick Chiluba’s immunity…….KEKEKEKE THE DOWNFALL OF MMD 2011….
