FAZ finally delivers Simataa letter

Share

THE Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) yesterday delivered the suspension letter from its disciplinary committee to soccer administrator Simataa Simataa – almost 10 days after the sitting.

Simataa, who is general secretary of the Andrew Kamanga-led FAZ faction, said the FAZ secretariat only delivered the letter on January 20.

“This is clearly an after-thought, I am just wondering why a letter should take 10 days,” Simataa said, referring to the letter which is dated January 10.

Simataa said the letter conveniently ignored his appeal of October 10, 2010 to the Appeals Committee of the FAZ Council to quash the disciplinary committee’s decision, as it did not hold any merit.

“The whole intention of delaying this letter is to frustrate my ability to appeal,” he said.

The FAZ disciplinary committee suspended Simataa for three months, an act perceived as an attempt to block the outspoken administrator from attending the annual general meeting in March.

Last October, Simataa raised preliminary objections over the presence of four disciplinary committee members to hear his case due to conflict of interest.

  1. abena simataa simataa kuli ama issues ya barotse .iam sure you are thinking of forming fotball association of barotse.you surely will be president .and on second thoughts what happens if the seccesion works and you are in FAZ .take time to think about it

  2. Are there any men left pa Zed who react not emotionally but based on facts? Without such, especially in leadership, there’s absolutely no hope!

  3. Ba Simataa mwandini you are our inspirational. This kalu chap is a dangerous criminal. He is so power hungry that he wants to use FAZ as ladder for those TWO positions at CAF and FIFA. What has this stupid Kalu has to show as FAZ President? Please make sure you appeal today, the AGM without you will be boring.

  4. What’s so special about this Simata?..The goverment and The Post will regret one day the support they are currently giving to Simata simata. These guyz have no international recognition. They have no network which is so essential in Football development in the country. They are not even wanted by FIFA.How will they be able to gain FIFA support?

I don’t understand why even the goverment cannot see that. For The Post, we know.. Mukonka was slapped so they are blinded by their desire for revenge.

  5. Nos 2 and 5 are very dangerous tribalists. Simataa can still work at FAZ on the same conditions like Bonnetti if Barotse was to go out of Zambia. But for your sake the process I am afraid will take long. Lozis are good administrators just like any other tribe but to suggest that they hate anyone, then that is dangerous. In any case Simataa was born and grew up in Kitwe which is Lamba land.

  6. In my humble opinion that infamous FAZ AGM of March should be held now. If we must go down our kneez to beg FIFA to allow us hold the meeting now, so be it. Assuming the AGM is set for 5th March, we have another whooping 42 days of Football House circus, imagine what happenz to the good game.

  7. The barotse issue aside enough is enough on this matter. Having said this I think the issue of Kalu and simataa are more personal than official. pride is the driver of this. But personally without focusing on tribe i think its a personality clash b/n these two. Simataa is acting on hate and revenge while Kalu is equally vengeful and proud: I will fix you so that you know i’m in charge”.But the engineer of this is Simataa. please country men and women let us stop being tribal we all sometimes differ with fellow tribesmen and even blood relatives . The difference b/n these two is not about bemba and lozi.

  8. The advise to FAZ is wait for the Annual General Meeting AGM, after that all the diciplinary issues will be easy to deal with on a cases by case basis,at the moment there issues of the credibility of the current FAZ secretariate, rembr FIFA did recognise the current Faz,But renbr FIFA also did alude to say the other party had the right to call for a no confidence vote on the current executive,Gentile man the no confidence vote is surely going to be secured,
so leave all this diciplinary issues to an appropriate time, meanwhile concentrate in organising this very important AGM,agenda

  9. seamatter thinks is a good administrator but he has failed before .he cant even pay his amakumbi boys and the servant. useless chap .since you want to have your country go in mongu and form your own called FAB.HUNGRY FOR POWER HIGHNOR

  10. Simataa, people who live in glass houses should not throw stones. Remember what you used to do that time you were in FAZ with Musa Kasonka jnr, Michael Milner, Michael Chiti and Watson Chiti? Let me remind you. You used to victimise small clubs in order to help the big clubs survive. You also influenced the disbanding of RailExpress just to save Nchanga Rangers from demotion. Just as I have very little respect for Kalusha, I would not trust you farther than I can throw a big stone.Just abandon soccer, you are a bad influence

  11. U chaps that have known soccer and the so called LT forum tode are an embarrasing, what international recognition are u talking about,r u happy the way the local league came to an end last season? What is there at football house to brag about? And to even call each other names on such crap is a total shame!!! Always look beyond a stituation before u utter anything. At the moment at Zed we dont have football adminstrators an football house we only have a direction less group led by a former ( ka last) soccer star. By the way even the way retired from active soccer was shameful.

  12. No. 2 fumbi for your information, No. 19 Shidada is right and he (Simataa) was my classmate! He is a person who never knew he was Lozi until 1991 when FTJ made us think about where we came from as he (FTJ) became a demagogue! Simataa is a very cosmopolitan person who was born and grew up in Kitwe until he went to University. However, this LT trend of attacking people who cannot defend themselves is very dangerous. I think LT must begin to filter this blog as some people simply find this blog a space they can insult freely!

  13. Simataa. Why did you leave finance bank, why did you resign as faz president, why did you resign from Never’s NCC after 2 weeks, why did you leave UNZA Stars. Kalu may have problems but certainly you are not the right material to replace him. You have a troubled life.

  14. Simata, why did you leave finance bank, unza stars, city of lusaka, faz presidency, unza stars, treasurer of nevers mumba’s ncc. You may be the wrong person to take over faz again.

  15. For FAZ to start crackin their wip at this moment every normal thinking person will perceive it as intimidation.Thats why timing in leadership is very important.I think the current FAZ executive lacks leaders who can think rationally. All these accusations and counter accusations can only be ended by the AGM.Lets be seen to be focusing on getting legitimacy from the affiliates that on trying to intimidate .What has kalu ‘s international recognition brought to zambian football administration for crying out loud.Do you mean to say all the FAZ presidents who have performed well by facilitating the semifinal berths for our team at CAF had international recognition.Kalu can use his recognition in another capacity in football as he has failed as an administrator.Look at the chaos at the moment.

  16. I know that you hate the truth and that is why you hate Simataa. Some of you, hate him because he is Lozi ( # 2 and 5).Why do you have so much hate for Lozis. Simataa is brilliant, very intelligent. Yes, I know you favour thieves in all your life. Politics = thieves, Football = thieves, your churches = thieves. Which forests do you come from? Mina masholi….(thieves). Who does not know about Kalu’ s ill deals on players. If it was politics, Kalu = Kafupi.

  17. # 24 well said and as for the tribalists especially # 2 and 5, sorry Zambia will never break! western province and all our beloved brothers and sisters will forever be part of Zambia. Kalu has a pocket agenda in the affairs of FAZ and for that reason he has to be booted out and thank God government can see thru Kalu.

  18. Let Kalu use his international recognition elsewhere. Yes, he did some good things for Zambia, he brought glory to Zambia as a player but not as a football administrator.

  19. #5 I could not agree with you more. The problems with letting emotions do the talking is that reason is thrown out of the window and they [ emotions ] do all the talking. A leader should be able to see beyond the now and lay the ground work for a time when he is long gone.
