The opposition Patriotic Front (PF) in Eastern Province has acknowledged that the ruling Movement for
Multiparty Democracy has scored success in the education and health sectors.
PF Provincial Chairperson Lukas Phiri said a number of schools and health facilities have been constructed in various parts of Eastern Province.
He was speaking on a live radio programme dubbed Face the Media on Radio Maria Zambia this morning.
ZANIS reports that Mr Phiri observed that people no longer walked long distances to access health facilities which he said were only five kilometers apart in nearly all the districts of the province.
He also applauded Government for adopting community schools some of which have been upgraded to Basic Schools.
Meanwhile, Mr Zulu said once voted into power, the PF would adopt some of the developmental programmes that were initiated in the United
National Independence Party (UNIP) and those that were being initiated by the ruling MMD regimes.
He stated that the PF would reduce corruption to ensure that Government resources were utilised for developmental programmes.
Mr. Zulu also dismissed perceptions that the PF was a violent party saying the party did not encourage acts of violence among its members.

Mwamona ukutumpa kwa ba ngoni!
Just lies from VJ controlled media. To day on 7hrs Radio(MMD)Zambia the reader said KK had urged Zambians to rally behind RB but when he played the speech nothing of that sort came out. BESIDES THERE IS NO PF IN EASTERN PROVINCE, SO WE WERE TOLD BY DORA LAST WEEK.
Mr Phiri….and who is Mr Zulu?
& this is newsworth? Phiri or Zulu whatever their names cant grab such headlines
#2, Maybe be we need our Phd students to research & find out who Mr Zulu is? Mr Phiri and Mr Zulu…
But PF has never denied the developmental projects of the MMD. All they have said is they are the Late Dr. Mwanawasa’s projects.
What I find interesting though is the one time PF talks about development for just a little bit, some PF cadres are quick to rubbish the whole article as mere “lies” and “propaganda”.
So when does PF talk about development? I am really curious about this.
Phiri – Zulu – whatever!
#5 Good observation
#4 wanzelu, actually this same Lukas Phiri did catch a headline when the PF made the story that the MMD was due to persuade some PF members in eastern province to join them. He is the same guy by the way. Are you denouncing him becuase the story is against PF? By the way, even Panji is not headline material because he has no influence on anyone despite the coverage he gets from the PF Magazine.
PF is blind to development
PF does not like to see any good they are allergic to development. the only good they see is sharing of plots in lusaka amongst themselves
Ala am VERY HAPPY with Kalale’s dismissal. I will remain eternally grateful to Judge Mumba. Now find a better replacement. Kalale aaliba nimisango ishibi. If only we can also get rid of VJ and his evil clique. Our God really answers prayers…………..

chwe chwe chwe………………………..kalale ……. chwe chwe bye bye GOD IS ABLE
YOU THOUGHT ZAMBIA BELONGS TO YOU ONLY CHALO CHESU BONSE MUNE AND LEAVE THE JUSTICE ALONE .YOU STINGE MAN VIVA RB CHWE CHWE
I dint Know that PF had a spokesperson who was influential in the Eastern province?Napapa sana has this indiovidual been a silent representative and what has triggered the so called developmental out bursts,Zambia is not all about the Eastern Province what of all the other Provinces the National cake should be shared equally and fairly.Iye yena Twaikana Lets talk about equal development across board not selectively please.
This is good politics. Lukas Phiri should be the PF President. Once we have politics like this, Zambia will progress. Recently, the UK Government of Cameron and Clegg has accepted to adopt the best of the Thartcher, the Blair and the Brown policies. THAT is how nations advance not just poo-pooing everything that your predecessors have done. Obama has continued some of Bush’s policies. Dr Chiluba made a terrible mistake by wiping out KK’s legacy completely! LPM built on Chiluba, RB on LPM and that is how we will advance. If Chiluba (with Sata on tow at the time) had kept the best of UNIP policies we would have been far much better off!
Poor reporting indeed. mr Phiri otherwise also known as mr Zulu, does LT employ trained journalists?
#1, those same insults are what make your boss always loose, too pompous to humble himself before people. Maybe be the best he can hope for is to become the Minister of Muchinga province, not president of Zambia.
What are pfs views or manifesto on development??? any of you heard anythin?
Its important to give praise where its due but not to black out the LT negative views he must have given ,r u up to somethin ba LT!
Only the worst PF tribalists would not see development going on. We have a large a growing middle class in zambia that would would put many a diosporan to shame. We have unprecedented numbers in the work force. We have a very stable kwacha now even on money markets. You PF kaponyas wanting sata to drop manee into your pockets should ask your selves why have got so much foreingers in Zambia ? to suffer with your imagined suffering masses ?. While you complain about RB, the sensible Zambians and the foriengers are reaping the rewards of this progressive GRZ.
Sata and the post has brainwashed most of PF kaponyas, so much so that they spend the productive hrs of the day talking about how to bring down GRZ. Just pretend that RB is Rupiha Bwalya and take advantage of the dollars floating about.
What can I say wise people came from the east.
Notice how intelligently he said we shall adopt the good that the UNIP era left, moving on the progress in some aspects that MMD shall leave. Key words we shall put a foot on corruptions neck. Above PF supporters is that not wisdom if there is any in PF, MMD or UPND. We all know by default morally Miyanda would be Zambia’s first greatest president; if only the man would appoint a more vocal wise/ intellectual God fearing vice.
Kc you started of well then lost yourself, there are masses in Zambia suffering. Remember Zambia is one of the worlds poorest nations due to leadership woes. Minerally she is a blessed country that has been scuffed by almost a golden jubilee of parasitic politicians. Her people have been robbed of avenues for intellectual expression. By God’s grace we can and will prevail by turning to Jesus and using all educational and common sense wisdom. Infrastructure to brain capacity is what is Zambia’s true resource.
Bottom line is there will no PF to talk about very soon, matter of weeks rather than months actually.
It has been exposed to be full of contradictions and lies on everything including mining taxes. That is not the way a winning party approaches a critical election, they are sunk, dead and buried and all their supporters will come out of the boat and start singing MMD soon.
The problem for pact is PF does not have any manifesto as such, they can not submit any to the negotiatition table. So UPND acknowledged this short comming of the SATA. They have also realised SATA has no programme to offer but to escort him to state house. HH tried his best to make sata understand, what is better for the country. At this point, there was no negotiation of the pact president even though, UPND knew SATA will be chosen because of his rumerical support base. Sata in all his campigns, he has not mentioned UPND accept when the two parties was announced pact .conditions was meant to tell sata that you have no knowledge to be president of zambia. And his lack of education will destroy this country, further down the line.!!! He made a mistake. Even PF is aware of this mistake
#26Chanda Bwalya says:i like your name, its makes you feel camfortable among people especially pali tu gelo.
